Cast of Characters: Gothic Lolita, Daisy Johnson

Gothic Lolita has posed:
For all new trainees, there are certain things required to do to achieve probie status. Tests to pass, agents to shadow who give their approval (that being Daisy at the moment), and of course, the firing range, where prospective agents demonstrate their ability to quickly and accurately identify civilian and hostile targets via a complex holochamber capable of depicting several types of surroundings. Of course, one of the most difficult is the urban combat arena.

Which currently has drawn a crowd of SHIELD techs and some of the armorers. There is music coming out of the speakers that someone has put on, punctuated by regular gunfire, which is...often on the beat?

And inside, Lolita is bopping along as she destroys a small army of Hydra agents...using a pair of pistols. She has a double pair of bandoliers with reloads she's wearing that she's gone about half through at this point.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
The assignment had come without too much of a surprise. Daisy had been there when GL had been rescued, along with being integral part on her reprogramming and safety measures that had been implemented. So being part of her training had come as a natural thing. In fact, even if she wasn't the one responsible she would had kept a keen eye on her..

And right now that's exactly what she was doing. She was up on the control center, following the progress the former murderbot was having on the 'shooting-range-turned-dancetrack'. So far very impressive.

Yet Daisy was determined to throw some curveballs. A few civillians here and there. Some targets where it was ambiguous which faction they belonged to, needing some study to figure out whether to shoot or not. But all in order to test GL's reactions, and also her method of thinking.

Gothic Lolita has posed:
The fact is...Lolita is "cheating" technically.

Oh, she's an excellent marksman level shot with those pistols...the armorer will note she fired through two clips on the range with both of them to be sure she had them zero'd in before she went into the holochamber.

But she's also...well, she's going full on terminator, and it's costing her a few points, because the collateral damage when she ignores a doorway in favor of going through a wall to suprise a group of bad guys does mark things down. Also she's taken hits from the sheer amount of fire coming her way because she's not really taking cover, just dodging. Which works for a lot of things, but sometimes quantity wins over aiming.

The computer hasn't marked those done as far as normal, because they really have had no effect on her, and she is giving targeting priority to heavy weapons opponents. The armored variety she tends to go straight for and simply forgo the pistol to rip off metallic arms and legs to disable them and moving on. She has given slightly higher priority to rescue of civilians however, which is why she keeps getting shot, because she deliberately draws fire when civilians are involved so she can get clean shots on the bad guys and they don't have their weapons pointed at hostages.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Well, noone was forbidden from using their abilities on the shooting range! And in fact Daisy seemed to prefer it this way. Because scoff the rules! She actually hated doing the range the straight way.

"Good so far." Daisy tells over the comms at GL, just as a couple more opponents come out from behind a corner. This time one of them is holding an hostage with one arm, pointing a gun at them. Not that the holo bots talk, but the choice seems to be clear. Whether to stop and drop weapons or neutralize the enemies..., having an hostage right there on the line of fire. And to kick things up the hostage appears to be a SHIELD agent. Because testing has to be made.

"You seem to be using probabilities and your superior making in your favor. But how would you react in a situation like this?" Daisy's voice is heard over the communication.

The bots ready their weapons, one prepared to shoot GL and the other the hostage!

Gothic Lolita has posed:
Lolita doesn't hesistate, both pistols snapping up to draw on the hostage taking robot and not trying to dodge the second as she calculates trajectories, then drops one pistol down to fire neatly through an exposed knee between the SHIELD agent's legs, then when the robot buckles and leans to the side in response promptly puts a bullet in its head with the other pistol. This costs her her dodging as she gracefully steps to the side, not able to avoid all the fire from the second robot as a pair of bullets hit her as she...keeps twisting for some reasons, meaning the bullets skim off her going past her, before she takes a quick double step forward and smashes her forearm through the second robot.

"Tricky...ricochets are an issue at this range, you know? If I take shots straight on it won't hurt me, but it risks friendly or civilian targets when I do if the bullets bounce poorly." She pauses to spin her pistols, ejecting the clips then snapping them into place on the magazines on her bandolier and popping them free reloaded. as she steps past the SHIELD agent so she's between him and any followup attackers.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"What if that second assailant had a weapon capable of hurting you? How would you had reacted?" Daisy then asks in hypothesis. Even if most of the bots here appeared to not have much in ways of hurting her. Maybe Daisy should had programmed them all for sporting heavy weapons! But with this being a training exercise she wanted to test more than simply GL's fighting prowess. That Daisy knew she had plenty of, as had been proved when they fought.

"Though I gotta say your thought processes are impressive. Of course I wouldn't expect less from my trainee." She says with a grin in her voice. Just in time for a couple more bots come out and start shooting out with automatic weapons. Very straightforward!

"I will let you know I am totally reprogramming this for next time." Though the truth is the end of the course seems close enough, the finish room already visible ahead in the simulation.

Gothic Lolita has posed:
"That depends on the weapon. If it was an area effect weapon I would have attempted to exit the room with the hostage at speed by going through a wall back first to shield them. If it was a directed damage weapon, I might have risked the hit to free the hostage first. It's my job to take the hits." Lolita says as she pauses by the next door, then pops out, snapping off a pair of shots that drop two Hydra troopers at the other end of the hallway, before lunging down as the remainder belatedly fire at teh door behind her, clotheslining them both into the opposite wall as they leave a pair of craters in the wall from the hit. "That's fair. This was mostly to prove I have the ability to shoot at the level of a SHIELD agent." She smiles thoughfully. "Hmm, how close am I to Hawkeye's run?"

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Not for me, it wasn't." Daisy replies about the purpose about this course. Besides getting a few more musics for her playlists. Because GL has the taste. "You are around five walls in front of him but a few thousand bullets in efficient shooting behind." she then says though her tone is one of jest, she currently waiting by the end of the track, stepping out of the control center to wait at the end. Arms crossed, leaning against a wall.

"How good are you with a bow though?" She then asks thoughtfully. One of those things she still had to figure out, how broad was GL's knowledge on weaponry. She imagined it'd be vast.

But as with everything, even destructive havoc such as this, it eventually comes to an end. The lights start to turn back on from the holo track, the simulation turning off... A lot of work would have to be made getting the track back in shape.., one wall finishing to topple off a couple of houses behind.

Gothic Lolita has posed:
"I don't know, actually. I've never had to use a bow. I suppose if you could find one at a heavy pull I could be very good with one, with some practice to figure out trajectories and wind." Lolita says curiously. "I do have specs for using a variety of throwing weapons though - knives, throwing stars, axes, hammers, and the like. Tomahawks?" There's a last blaze of murder fire as the remaining two squads of Hydra at the end meet their ends in a blaze of fire that leaves the barrels smoking slightly as the bell rings and Lolita safeties both, blowing at the barrels lightly, before holstering them and heading back out to rejoin Daisy, though she pauses to look at the crumbling wall. "...hmm."

She shrugs slightly ands out, returning the pistols to the armorer along with the bandoliers. "Thank you.' she says politely to him. "Very well sighted."

Gothic Lolita has posed:
Money then changes hand from some of those watching before the crowd starts to disperse!

Daisy Johnson has posed:
The armorer eyes Lolita, then the weapons. Sizzling hot! He sets them aside with a grunt but well, at least he was happy being one of those that won money. Always bet on the new kid! Or in this case the new bot. Too many moons working the targeting range armory helped afterall.

As for Daisy, if she did bet or not she was keeping her poker face on. "Tomahawks? Really? Well, they were thorough I suppose ..." her eyebrows arch up some, dislodging herself from the wall and approaching. "Though good job. Not that your performance in the shooting range was ever in doubt." a laugh. "And I think we can skip the hand to hand combat trials?" because really, what a joke they would be!

"Though I was curious on how you have been adapting here. Living with SHIELD. Do you like being here?" She questions.

Gothic Lolita has posed:
Lolita hmmms, thinking that over some. "Yes. I like all of the people I've met so far as colleagues, and I like having a purpose again. Being inactive was starting to make me contemplate recreating the Shawshank Redemption from my quarters, honestly." she admits. "I realize I'm a difficult type to slot into standard SHIELD operations though, so I can be patient."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
A smirk comes onto Daisy's expression when Lolita mentions recreating shawshank redemption. "I will make sure to run through your quarters looking for Rita Hayworth posters, Agent." she says in way of jest. Her arms then wrap together, thoughtful.

"But more seriously, there are various type of missions where your input could be valuable. And how good are you at punching nazis? Perhaps there's something you can help in soon enough." she states, a brow quirking up. "Would be a good test run too."

Gothic Lolita has posed:
"Hmm. Based on previous experience, I am excellent at it. Do HYDRA agents count, or are they reformed Nazis in that they're just out to conquer the world but without the racism?" Lolita says, tapping a finger on her chin. "I mean, I have had the opportunity to face neo-Nazis prevously as well. They're much more repellent." She shrugs. "Though most of my previous targets have been a bit more intelligent, if over into the mad scientist spectrum."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"They totally do count. Specially since it's Hydra that's working with this neo-nazi group. They have been robbing powers out of mutants, and they appear to have succeeded a .., super-villain of their own. But you will have access to the reports soon enough." Daisy says, letting out a sigh. "Those cockroaches don't want to stay dead..."

She then takes a peek at her watch. "Time for lunch now though. Want to tag along?" she offers. Not that she expects GL will eat anything!

Gothic Lolita has posed:
"That would be lovely." Lolita says easily, falling in step with Daisy. "I think they're attempting poutine today for Canada Day." She's never relaly had it...but she's mildly curious what it tastes like.
