Synopsis: Tensions get high and explode when mutant supporters and officials get into a fight and lives are lost on both sides.
Cast of Characters: Raven Darkholme, David Corriea, Joan Wright, Siobhan Smythe

Raven Darkholme has posed:
Its been sometime since the awful disappearance of Mutant City from Brooklyn, and the sudden swarm of manpower suddenly needed to try and find out what happened but also to keep others from entering the disaster site. The police and even some military have been called in to keep the perimeter safe from civilians and vise versa.
There is another vigil this afternoon before the holiday weekend and numbers are huge and the voices are loud with the threat of violence having grown more and more likely. Tense barely begins to describe the atmosphere.
The Clouds overhead threaten rain and the rumble of lightning and thunder above keep the air cool but the tense feeling is pregnant with danger.

David Corriea has posed:
David donated a portion of his proceeds the last following days to provide relief effort to those in mutant town. He was amongst the other support programs trying to help the area. He has a hat on his head to keep his hair dry as the sky looks to rain. The lightning gets a cautious look, knowing that a lightning bolt would betray his status of being a mutant so he tried to avoid metallic areas.

Joan Wright has posed:
It's a bit hard to process the lack of anything in the area Mutant City once stood. And perhaps that's another reason for Joan to swing by this side again. Sometimes the visual is enough to remind her that yes, this did happen.

Normally the vigils in the area are peaceful and with that expectation, the brown haired architect showed up to once again confirm. But the turning voices are starting to make her feel a bit... uncomfortable.

Taking a deep breath, the woman nevously tucks a lock of her short hair behind an ear and starts glancing for a path out. Oh my. When did the crowd get so big?

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
This wasn't precisely a normal visit for Siobhan. She wasn't a mutant or anything. She was, however, an understanding person and she was here to show support. However, as the day was starting to get all rough, she was already heading away. She had stopped at the coffee shop across the way, frowning as she looked through the glass up at the sky and sipped at the drink she picked up. She could see the people getting agitated but she wasn't sure what to do. For now, she just sips her coffee and sighs a little softly to herself.

Raven Darkholme has posed:
The rumble in the sky only echos the sorrow and want for help within the mutant crowds. A young woman steps up towards the nearest officer, either pushed from behind or off her own will, we're not sure of.
What we are sure of is the officer fires a single bullet. The lead stabs into the woman in the chest and the pop fills the air and a sudden silence echoes through the street. A brief respite in the air before the violence erupts, and the mobs swarm the officers and troops who all push back.

David Corriea has posed:
David stops when he hears that gunshot. Seeing it from a police officer and hitting the woman. Rage filled his mind and he walks off into the crowd, merging with the mass of people. He puts a bandana on his face, and sunglasses on his eyes as he begins to walk out to the front of the police and military. Electricity arcs through out his body and soon he sends bolts of electricity to the guns of the men, knowing it would cook the gunpowder and make their guns explode and be useless.

Joan Wright has posed:
Okay, just calmly wading through the crowds. Joan offers a few 'excuse me's and 'pardon's here and there as she works her way amongst the sea of persons and she was ALMOST to the coffee shop when the surprise sound of gunfire causes for her to jump and give out an 'eek!'. Turning her head quickly she looks towards the source of the sound. Eyes widening. "Oh my God."

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A blink comes to her eyes as she watches the scene unfold and slowly Siobhan's coffee falls to the ground. She stares in disbelief as she watches the girl fall and then suddenly the crowd is on the charge, going after the officer that did this. THen the officers are trying to hold back the mob. As the insanity plays through outside, Siobhan grips at the side of her head. What just happened. It was horrible. It was wrong. Within her, turmoil rises.

<Ye saw it girl...just do something about it.> Siobhan looks up, her teeth grinding as she does. She stares at the ground and when she looks up, her eyes are briely glowing, bright white with black scalera. She presses her palm to the glass and then she closes her eyes again. "No. That wouldn't stop it. It's not who I am." Her thick Irish accent painting her words even as she finds her eyes on the door.

Raven Darkholme has posed:
The crowd swarms the cops and the troops acting as a simple barrier, and then David steps forward and with the rumble of nature above him, the bullets in the guns before him are all discharged at once. The magazines explode, the cartridges pop violently. Soldiers, Guards, Cops and those immediately near by are caught in the violent shrapnel caused by the several explosions. Legs, hands, chests and even some faces are damaged in the attack.
Screams wail out and bloodied bodies and wounded protestors fall to the ground in pain and several are outright dead from the damages.

David Corriea has posed:
David didnt intend to kill anyone. But things happen and he will have to face that monster another day. For now he evened the playing field and he falls back into the crowd, trying to blend into the crowd. He begins to pull back to those of the mob that got shot, using his magnetism powers to pull the bullets out of them. it isnt enough to stop bullets but it does pull them out as he tries to get the injured to the relief areas.

Joan Wright has posed:
So what does a damage control person do? Do they go lunging into the fray? Do they go telling people to STAND BACK! Well, it probably depends on the employee. The ones with combat exprience and field medicine knowledge? Ok yes they might. But, as for Joan? Well. The gunfire and explosions are off in one direction so that is a clear indication she should go in either the opposite direction, or parallel to it. Just not closer. So swim little Joan! Swim the frantic tide of the crowd towards the shelter of the buildings! And so she wades. She crawls, "excuse me excuse me pardon me excus-ACK!" And so, Joan ends up getting carried off by the current of fleeing persons.

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
The explosion has her gasp and Siobhan steps back from the glass. She puts a hand to her mouth as she sees what is happening. She isn't sure who or what did that. Just all that explosion. So many people hurt, possibly dead and she shakes her head. She already had a hand over her mouth. Then another joins it, her hands moving up to rub her forehead and cover her face before she looks again. She clenches her eyes shut and shakes her head, "No, that won't help." She then starts out the door and looks left and right before she looks back inside and calls, "Stay inside." She yells and then runs back out to see who she can help. Looking to see who she can possibly help get moving, who needs to stay and who is already gone.

Raven Darkholme has posed:
The wails from the injured fills the street and yet the din and rage from those close enough to those officers and guards that are moving in to take care of the injured. There's a lot of orders being yelled and there's a lot of new guns being aimed at the pushing protestors. The protestors are terrified and getting violent with bottles and rocks being thrown from the crowd at the officers stepping up to get at their wounded and to protect the hole of mutant town.
The guns are leveled at the protestors really trying to get the line to move back to where it was but that seems to have passed and is no longer an option.

David Corriea has posed:
David raises a hand. A lightbolt comes out of the sky and strikes his hand, making his body surge with electrical energy. Now overcharged, his powers are stronger and he knew he had to use it quick before he discharges and kills someone. So he focuses on the electromagnetic part of his powers to rip the guns out of every officer's hands and pull them to the protestors. Hopefully he will be able to pull every gun away.

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan continues to get carried away by the tide of persons NOT wanting to deal with the gunfire and... in a way it is helpful, she is making pretty decent time getting away from the commotion and once out of the worst of it, as more and more persons start to feel they are safe, less people push and eventually Joan no longer feels the push.

Blinking at now having control of where she's going, she turns, opting to walk to the side of what's left of the fleeing masses. She glances back to the crowd, unable to see what in particular happened but knowing there was gunfire and explosions. And there's screaming. There's li- She's definitely out of her element right now.

Stepping into a nearby store, she fishes out her phone. Someone's probably already called but just in case others are assuming the same thing...

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
Looking at the situation, Siobhan is frowning now. She is about to say something more when someone tries to rip all the guns out of the hands of the police. She looks around with a deep frown, "Are ye daft?!" She calls to the police, "Ya started this! Stop! stop now!" she calls out and her voice carries pretty well even in the din. Of course, she is still just one voice even as she tries to help the people on the ground.

Raven Darkholme has posed:
The guns are removed easily from the soldier's and cop's hands and end up smacking thr protestors in the side and they mostly all catch them and turn to point them at the soldiers and cops who quickly hold up their hands. "Hey, don't shoot!" Calls an officer towards the crowd and obvious they're terrified. The situation has severely deteriorated so some officer steps up from around a corner and a canister of tear gas is shot through the air with a THUMP with hopes to disperse the crowds with the guns now.

David Corriea has posed:
David tries to lead the crowd away from the tear gas and he tries to fade with the crowd, taking off his bandana and sunglasses and hat so he is one of the protesters. He hopes to get away.

Joan Wright has posed:
From the shelter of the building she's in, Joan dials three digits. Upon getting an operator upon the line, she starts off stating there is likely need for some ambulances as well as getting a description of what she knows. Which is ... someone's probably hurt a- Oh wait what? Someone already called? Well Okay then!

As she hangs up she looks for a safe direction to leave the area. No point in sticking around here after all!

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
"Don't be like them, don't be daft!" She calls out in her Irish tone and gestures at the people, "Leave, go! Drop the weapons and go!" she nods her head as she starts after the people, nodding her head as she moves off with them. SHe hopes everyone does the smart thing but she needs to head out. She looks back at the situation and frowns even as she pulls out her phone and starts hoping she can get more help here. She's no medic.

Raven Darkholme has posed:
"Disperse and go home! This site is officially closed!" Says several of the officials as they keeo swarming into the area and leaving a single gap open for the protestors to leave from.
The cops seem almost endless and thr crowds have held onto the guns and yet no one is firing. Not yet. "You killed us, this isnt over! This is war!" The mutant supporters declare as they keep moving backwards.
