Cast of Characters: David Corriea, Zatanna Zatara

David Corriea has posed:
Having gotten back from new york city, he came to discover the building without power. A trip to the batteries in the basement and soon power is restored and David opens the shop. He supplies the trucks with ice cream and send them on their way, staying to man the shop. Frosty Cream was an ice cream business which makes multiple different types of ice cream and even has regular food to serve with the ice cream. Each ice cream flavor is lovingly made and supposed to be the most delicious ice cream in Gotham. Kaydin has a hair net on his head and his apron on his front as he waits for customers.

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
No shows on the schedule for a bit. Zatanna always makes sure to take a week off here and there: keeps one fresh and avoids burnout. Also keeps the fans wanting more.

As such, the raven-haired witch has been haunting Gotham, enjoying summer in her hometown. But it is summer and summer means ice cream. She's heard people talk about 'Frosty Cream' and opts to stop in. Dressed in black slacks and a gray, fitted top, she's 'dressed down' but still a recognizable enough face as she steps in through the door.

David Corriea has posed:
David smiles and he walks to the counter closest to the door. "Welcome to Frosty cream." He says as he looks her over. "Hey your Miss Zatara, the magician! I caught a couple of your shows." He says as he gives a genuine smile. "So how may I help you today?" He asks as he leans on the counter, watching her and waiting for her order.

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
Zatanna seems unconcerned with being recognized. You get used to it. And if she -really- wanted to go incognito, she'd just magic herself into appearing as someone else. There is a smile offered to David as she makes her way up to the counter. "Indeed I am." Her eyes drift to the ice cream on offer as she speaks. "I hope you enjoyed them?"

"Mmmmmm. Howabout some double chocolate chip?" Nothing too adventurous, but a good standard.

David Corriea has posed:
"I often brought my sister. I enjoyed them more then I thought I would, especially with you in a suit." He says playfully as he nods and begins to scoop some double chocolate chip. "First ice cream for new customers is on the house. Enjoy." He says as he smiles at her and watches her curiously. The power flickers and then hums back on as he sighs.

"I use green energy to power the building and sometimes it hiccups during the summer." He explains.

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
"Everyone likes the costume," Zatanna says with a quiet chuckle. "It's part of the experience." She meanders further down the counter, looking over the other flavors and toppings on display. When the power flickers, she straightens and glances up and around. "Seems risky," she says. "Potential power outages when you have ice cream."

"Why not have the power grid as backup, just in case? Like how hybrid cars have their battery, then the gas engine to supplement it?"

David Corriea has posed:
"Because I spent my budget this month on new bigger freezers and dont have the money to pay the power grid backup." He says as he sighs. "Something to save for next month. Anyway why be a magician if I may ask. Is it something you enjoy doing?" He asks sincerely.

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
"I'm sorry to hear that," Zatanna says with a small frown. She leans a hip up against the counter near the register, watching. Arms are crossed loosely over her abdomen. "My father was a magician. I grew up touring with him, being his assistant. I guess it's a family business in a way. My cousin performs, too."

David Corriea has posed:
"Afraid I could never do it. I would blab my secrets." David says with a smile. He then smiles at her. "So you live in Gotham?" He asks curiously as he looks out the window. "I am trying to start up a branch of frosty creams in New York City." He says calmly. "The paperwork has nearly slain me a few times."

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
"I do," Zatanna says with a small nod. "Family estate, not far from Wayne Manor." Which implies 'old money.' But then she probably makes plenty herself. "New York?" There's a grimace. "Good luck. That place is a mess. I feel like there's a lot of luck involved in getting any business established there. Which part of it are you aiming for? I think SoHo might be your best bet."

David Corriea has posed:
"Was actually going to do something in mutant town. Its a slum from what I see and a portion of my money goes to helping those in need, like mutant rights, homeless and police officers." David explains as he shrugs. "Atleast I would if mutant town gets restored." He says calmly as he watches her. "So a family estate? My mom and sister and me live in an apartment. Mom works as a waitress." He says as he watches her. "Which is why I am good with serving food like ice cream." He says with a nervous chuckle.

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
"I think I've heard some of the things going on there." But Zatanna's interests and concerns are usually elsewhere; not so much with the mutant stuff. It's not that she doesn't care, it's that she only has so much space to be able to handle things. "I, uh-" She hesitates and then gives a shrug. "Hey, it's important to follow your passion, you know? It sounds like you're really into your-" she looks over the shop. "Ice cream?"

David Corriea has posed:
"I inherited this business from a friend of my father's. It is supposed to keep me from being a vigilante and beating the crap out of criminals." He says with a shrug. "So you must have alot of fans. Any chance I can get an autograph from ya for my sister?"

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
"A vigilante?" Zatanna says this in a quietly amused tone of voice. Almost, but not -quite- patronizing. But near to it! When he asks for an autograp, she dips her head in a nod and reaches into her pocket, pulling out a business card and pen. The pen... looks a little too long to have fit in there, but who knows with women's clothing!

"Of course," she says, leaning over to begin signing the back of the card. "Happy to." When she presents the card, it's jet black (the signature in silver ink on the back) with faux-eldritch symbology for a border. In the center, it reads: 'Zatanna Zatara' on the first line. Below that: 'Mistress of Magic' Below that: 'Princess of Prestidigitation' And lastly, a link to her website.

David Corriea has posed:
David smiles as he takes the card. "Thanks." He says as he puts it up for when he goes home later. "So raised in gotham?" He asks as he watches her eat her ice cream. "I take it being the daughter of a magician, you had to travel alot." He says with a smile as he sighs.

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
"Mmmhmm. Gotham is home. I may spend weeks and months out of state for tours, but I always come home." Zatanna balances her ice cream in one hand, digging into it with her spoon. "Mmmm. Yeah, we did. My dad got called in to... consult on things sometimes, too, but I wasn't always welcome on those trips."

David Corriea has posed:
"My dad was a cop. He was killed in action when I was 8." David says softly as he watches her. "Are you free later tonight? I want to take you out to dinner if you are free." He says calmly as he watches her, studying her expression

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
"I'm sorry to hear that," Zatanna says, lips twisting in a small frown. She glances up when he asks her out and blinks once. There comes a slightly awkward expression that follows. "Oh, uh. I'm flattered, really." She sets down the ice cream for a moment, pressing palms to her thighs (likely to warm them). "But I'm not looking at dating anyone right now.

David Corriea has posed:
"Yea I understand. Anyway if you want anything else just let me know." David says as he moves to serve some more customers, he glances back to her every so often but his attention on the customers.
