Date of Scene: 08 July 2020
Location: Shake Shack
Synopsis: Johnny and Nessa meet and chat about being polar opposites over fries and shakes.
Cast of Characters: Johnny Storm, Nessa Donovan

Johnny Storm has posed:
It's late, but in the city that never sleeps is that really a barrier to people being out and doing things? That's nothing that would stop Johnny Storm from being out and about, and he's doing it in showy style as one might expect. He pulls up in a sporty, extremely expensive and luxurious looking Bently car in a dark blue, with tinted windows.

When the doors of the car open, out steps Johnny himself, dressed in a sleek three piece suit, less business attire, more classy night on the town, complete with a fancy '4' tie pin, and italian leather shoes, this all makes him stand out a lot, given he's pulling up, and walking his way over towards the local Shake Shack with it's abundant outdoor seating.

Nessa Donovan has posed:
It would stand to reason that after spending all day around food that one wouldn't be particularly interested in getting some. For Nessa, that's certainly not true. Curly blonde hair pulled up into a ponytail to keep it out of her face, her extremely simple jeans and t-shirt combo is a stark contrast to the impressive appearance. Seated at one of the tables, one leg pulled up under her in casual comfort, she appears to be enjoying fries and a shake, the lid of the shake open just enough to occasionally dip a fry into.

When Johnny rolls up, she glances over her shoulder. There's the slightest bit of a raised eyebrow, but she's not too concerned. "Careful that you don't get any ketchup on that!" She calls.

Johnny Storm has posed:
"It'll be alright, I've actually got a really great drycleaner." Johnny says with a little wink cast towards Nessa as he makes his way up to get himself a shake and some fries himself, strawberry the flavor of choice for tonight, and his fries the cheesey fries. Once he's gotten his order, however, he's back over to join the woman who gave the rather kindly warning of avoiding ketchup stains.

"So, any other sage advice you might have?" he asks with a little chuckle as he settles down at the table of choice, making the two quite the odd duo at the table.

Nessa Donovan has posed:
Nessa doesn't seem bothered in the slightest by the taking over of her table, dipping another fry in her chocolate shake and eating it before she looks back over at Johnny. "I suppose I should encourage the ketchup, then, to support small businesses." There's the slightest hint of a chuckle. "Really, though, I'm full of all kinds of sage advice. Wash your hands, look both ways before crossing the street, don't wear white after Labor Day. Not sure what the last one means, but I'm pretty sure that's what people say."

Johnny Storm has posed:
"You know I actually had a stylist, years ago now, tell me the answer to that one - It was a classist sort of rule to keep the old money elite elavated above the new money and upstarts." Johnny says with a laugh, "Whether it's true or not I can't really say though." He shrugs his shoulders a little and dollops out some ketchup on his fries and dips one of the cheesey potato sticks in the tomato sauce before tucking it between his lips and munching. "I'm a big advocate of small business though, so we'll stick with the ketchup." He says cheekily.

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"Really?" Nessa does seem rather curious, then laughs a bit. "Always wondered about that. Never followed fashion enough to understand that phrasing. Somehow it stuck around, though." She adjusts the lid and straw of her shake to take a sip before observing Johnny again. "Cheese /and/ ketchup. Interesting technique. I'm sure your drycleaner will thank you for your business." She shifts her weight to untuck her leg before it goes to sleep, shaking it out a bit.

Johnny Storm has posed:
"Well, I like to live dangerously." Johnny says, taking another dip of cheesey fries into ketchup and munching at it before shifting to take a slurp from his strawberry milkshake. "There's probably another explanation instead, but, that's just the one I'd heard."

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"Fast cars, loaded fries?" Nessa suggests with an amused grin. "Can't blame you there. There are few things better in the world than some hot fries and cold shakes. Classics you can count on." She stirs her shake with her straw to mix it up some. "And there's something to be said about food you didn't have to make yourself."

Johnny Storm has posed:
"I'm all for hands-on hard work." Johnny says with a laugh at Nessa's comments, "But I've never been one who was much of a hand in the kitchen. I'd be a liar if I said I couldn't boil water.. but any steps after that..." He laughs, "Beyond me."

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"Oh good, then I've one-upped the man in the suit. I can, in fact, both boil water and follow the instructions on the pack of noodles." Nessa's still grinning. She points a fry in his direction. "So I'm guessing you've got someone else to do the cooking for you." The fry is used to indicate the suit. "Personal chef, or do you live off of Shake Shack?"

Johnny Storm has posed:
"Well, a bit of column A, and a lot of column B typically." Johnny laughs, "But that doesn't mean it's all fries and strawberry shakes though." He says, pointing one of his own fries back at Nessa's direction, before taking a bite from it, munching it down. "What about you, fry shack and instant noodles?"

Nessa Donovan has posed:
Nessa chuckles. "Scrambled eggs and comfort foods, I work as a cook for a diner. So, I might know how to do a little more than the instant noodle." She holds her hands up helplessly. "I just like to come get food when I don't have to be the one cooking it all the time. It's a nice break."

Johnny Storm has posed:
"Oh! Well, maybe I've eaten something you've cooked. So, what diner, any I might have heard of or know?" Johnny asks curiously as he settles back, leaving the fries unattended for the moment, and reaching for his shake instead to slurp a little at it as he watches her.

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"Nowhere you've been, because I'd remember if you were a regular. And, as it happens, you'd be a regular if you'd gone," Nessa leans on the table slightly. "I like to pride myself in being the /best/ diner cook." She shrugs, then grabs for another fry. "Just a little hole-in-the-wall place in Queens. It's pretty small, called Rachel's Diner. Even the owners don't know who Rachel was, no one named Rachel's ever owned it or worked there... little mystery. We like to make jokes about it."

Johnny Storm has posed:
"I seriously feel that a claim that bold needs backing up." Johnny says matter of factly to Nessa, gaze settling on her in a critical little look, "You're absolutely going to have to cook something for me now." he says as he watches her, "Rachel's Diner... Huh.."

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"Alright, you come by sometime and I'll be certain to cook you whatever diner food your heart desires. I'll be certain to make it terribly messy so as to pay it forward to your drycleaners," Nessa smiles charmingly before slurping from her milkshake. "I'm Nessa, by the way." She doesn't offer a hand. Pointedly, only one hand is visible. One rests on her leg under the table, the other around her cup. Neither moves when she offers her name by way of introduction.

Johnny Storm has posed:
"That seems like an awful long time to wait for the best diner food in the world." Johnny says, "What about midnight snack, tonight?" He counters, hand coming out to be extended towards her, "And I'm Johnny. What do you say, Nessa?" he asks, hand held out, probably awkwardly as she continue to keep hers tucked away from him.

Nessa Donovan has posed:
The hand is stared at for an awkward moment before Nessa suddenly smiles. "Sorry, can't shake, skin condition." It's brushed off quickly as she continues. "You wouldn't rather wait until I'm actually on shift and working and would rather instead make me cook on my time off?" She grins at him. "Careful there, Johnny, your fancy suit is showing."

Johnny Storm has posed:
"Well, it was more of a coy invitation back to my place after shakes than anything else." Johnny says, his hand coming back after the excuse, though it gets a curious look from him a bit. "If you don't mind me probing, what sort of skin condition?" he asks, "I know personally some of the best doctors you'll find anywhere, if you'd be interested at all in an introduction?"

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"Nice try, though," Nessa offers, though his mention of doctors has her grin looking a little more sheepish. "Not exactly the kind of skin condition that doctors fix. Sort of a, uh." It's clear she's struggling for a solid comparison. "It's for your own safety. It's a bit dangerous. I usually wear gloves, I just wasn't expecting to have any sort of interaction with anything other than my fries."

Johnny Storm has posed:
Johnny Storm gives her a little shrug of his shoulders and a bit of a grin at her nice try comment before leaning forward, curiosity piqued at the 'dangerous' comment, "Now you're making me want to have you touch me even more!" He says, "You probably wouldn't believe me if I said that I'e friends for that as well, though, and I'm even more curious now. What sort of reaction does it have?"

Nessa Donovan has posed:
Nessa's hand around the cup scoots back just slightly, an eyebrow raised. "That's kind of personal, isn't it?" She doesn't, however, look annoyed... more amused. "I didn't intend to make you curious about it. It's just a thing I've had since I was a kid. Has to do with magic, it runs in my family. I just have a particular affinity and it doesn't... well, it doesn't always play well with others. People tend to get frostbite if they touch me. Well, half of the time, it's not an exact science."

Johnny Storm has posed:
That brings a laugh from Johnny, the sort of loud laugh that gets people peering over towards their table no doubt, as he leans back a little and grins at her big, "Well, I don't think I've been cold for over 30 years, much less frostbite." He says, hand extending out again towards her, "Consider me forewarned, if you'd like to try, anyway. I have to imagine it can be weird having to have that barrier out all the time, huh?"

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"See, when you say 'like to try', it's more like you're asking me to do something that's been fairly dangerous since I was maybe ten?" Nessa peers over at Johnny carefully. "I guess it's weird, I'm just sort of used to it by now. Limited contact. I'm working on it, though, working to control it, working to find ways around it. Someone recently told me I could get some kind of magical artifact, maybe, that would help. I've seriously got to look into that." His hand is eyed carefully. "What do you mean you haven't been cold for 30 years?"

Johnny Storm has posed:
"Well, I've a well, not entirely unqiue ability to manipulate temperatures, particularly heat, though I could cool down the air around us, or heat it up." He explains, "I don't imagine any scenario where you'd be able to chill me so much I couldn't out warm it, especially with just a skin to skin touch." Johnny says to Nessa in response, "I've been like this since I was seventeen."

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"Yeah, but if you're too warm that'll hurt /me/," Nessa points out. "This temperature thing goes the other way as well. I touch you and I don't chill you because you change the temperature? Cool, but now you're probably a bit warm for my liking." She frowns. "I have almost passed out before opening an oven. Trust me, not exactly a great thing when you're in a kitchen a lot. Learned that real fast." She is taking a moment to study him, at least.

Johnny Storm has posed:
"Oh, interesting - though, I think if I were to put out enough heat to just counteract the chill you were putting out, that you wouldn't notice the warmth, or at last notice it as anything uncomfortable. One force cancelling out the other, essentially." He says with a thoughtful look on his face, "Control though is the right thing to practice, like you said. It'll come with time."

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"Interesting..." Nessa does seem to be curious about the idea, tilting her head as she looks at him. "I mean, control's a tricky thing. I can control everything else, sure. I don't have accidental outbursts of ice. I'm not about to spray icicles at you by sneezing. I just haven't gotten this whole... skin thing to behave completely. Plus, it's magic, so that's another whole mixed bag of things. I know there's all kinds of genetic things with mutant abilities and whatnot that could even be targeted to try and fix things, but it's all magic." She grabs another one of her fries, but doesn't eat it, just kind of twirling it between her fingers.

Johnny Storm has posed:
"Have you ever measured how cold you can make things?" Johnny asks curiosuly as he lounges there, taking another little slurp from his milkshake as he considers there, "Magic isn't something I really know an awful lot about, but there are people out there who you can talk to. Science has always been the solution we've used to tackle these problems, so, any solutions I might be able to easily access probably won't be as handy to you."

Nessa Donovan has posed:
Nessa shakes her head. "I've never did anything terribly scientific with it, other than just vague tests here and there. I haven't exactly had help, this is something I've been figuring out mostly on my own with books here and there for /years/. It's only recently that I've even run into anyone who has made it a point to offer me options and answers." She eats the fry she's holding before looking back over at him. "It's less just cold and more ice, too, which makes a difference, I'm told."

Johnny Storm has posed:
"Well, that is something that I can actually offer help with." Johnny says, "At least you'll have an idea what sort of forces you're dealing with afterall, right?" Johnny says as he sits there, "I can give you my card if you want and you can come down. I'm sure my Brother-in-law would love to help out, this is something right up his alley, taking scientific measurements and such. Maybe we can find some sort of magical tutor for you as well, I'll have to do some thinking to figure out who though." He says, rubbing at his chin a little, "And cold and ice tend to go hand and hand, that's not too surprising."

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"I /might/ have the tutor thing covered, fingers crossed," Nessa does nod after a moment. "Honestly, though, if anything you're probably one of the few people I'm /least/ likely to hurt if your skillset does have to do with temperature. I guess maybe for once I'm a touch more worried I'll be the one hurt. The tables have turned." She chuckles. "... but yeah, I think I'd like that card, if you don't mind. You help me out, I'll be sure to return the favor. Whatever your favorite food is."

Johnny Storm has posed:
"I'm quite certain I'd be fine from your touch, especially if it's just an uncontrolled discharge." Johnny agrees with a little smile, "Though I'd be a bit worried about getting you too warm, though we can experiment sometime if you'd like." Johnny says with a laugh. He'll however reach into a pocket under his jacket to pull out a card, which he hands over to her, the card is the sort of thing that is probably more high-tech than it has any business having, it reads:

'Johnny Storm - Fantastic Four'

Four Freedoms Plaza

The card is embossed, slightly holographic, with a little spot you can press to project a little holographic map giving street directions to the building. "If you head up to the 71st floor and give that to our receptionist, Roberta, she'll be able to let me know you're there."

Nessa Donovan has posed:
Nessa blinks a little at the card. "That's certainly the fanciest business card I've ever seen," she remarks as she takes it, examining the whole thing carefully. With his description of the building and his receptionist, she raises an eyebrow. "Well, I'm sure Roberta will be able to help me for certain then." She looks down at the card again. "It's a good thing I'm not really the type that gets star struck."

After a moment she holds out a hand towards him. A second later, ice begins to form between her fingers--a business card of her own. The tiny sheet of ice is thick enough not to melt instantly upon touch, but still fairly delicate. Written on there is her name and cell, the card covered with fancy little engraved swirls on the sides in some sort of celtic design. "You can call that. It's just me."

Johnny Storm has posed:
Johnny Storm will reach out to accept the ice-card that's been handed over to him, and he'll use his own control over thermokinesis to keep it chilled and cold to not melt at his touch. "Yours is awfully impressive too." Johnny says, holding the delicate card up to examine, "You're gonna give me a run for my money. Mine don't get handed out too often though, not those anyway." He says with a little inclination of his head towards her. "If I don't hear from you soon I'll be sure to give you a call to try to set something up."

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"You should see the kind of stuff I can make when I've got the time for it." Nessa does sound proud of that, at least. "To be fair, that's the /only/ one of those that exists, so..." She looks at the card in her own hand, then she nods. "Yeah, I'll be sure to check in. I appreciate the offer of help. It'd be neat to see if we can figure out how cold things can get."

Johnny Storm has posed:
"I can imagine. I can do things with flames and fire, though I can't exactly hand someone over a burning card... well I suppose I could but that's not exactly..." Johnny just lets it trail off and flashes a grin towards her, "Measuring the extremes you can control though is something that we can absolutely do, no doubt about it. We'll at least get you in a ballpark range. I've been able to make constructs upwards of 2800 degrees, for example."

Nessa Donovan has posed:
Nessa grins. "I could make it snow. It's not exactly the most useful gifts but I certainly look cool at a party," she points out. The mention of just how hot things can get causes her to wince. "Let's just agree right now that you don't do that anywhere near me. I practically melt when the weather gets hot as is." She chuckles lightly.

Johnny Storm has posed:
"I'll promise not to do anything of the sort unless there's an emergency." Johnny agrees with a nod of his head at her, "While I'm usually flattered when pretty women melt into a puddle infront of me, I'm worried yours might be a little too on the nose." He says, tapping the side of his own nose lightly.

Nessa Donovan has posed:
There's a grin from Nessa. "I'm not made of ice, at least, but I don't think being in pain and passing out is a great reaction either. Maybe a puddle would be preferable." She looks towards him, seeming to be in thought. She doesn't do anything for a moment, though the thought is clearly there. After a period of time that almost seems uncomfortably long, she lets go of her cup and extends her hand towards him, wordlessly.

Johnny Storm has posed:
Johnny Storm reaches his hand out to her as hers extends out, his palm upturned to give her the agency in the touch, offering an equally silent response to her, though there's perhaps more than a bit of curiosity to see just what happens when the two almost literal polar opposites touch.

Nessa Donovan has posed:
While Nessa moves to set her hand atop his, while there's determination in the move, her expression is still one of concern. If it's for his safety or her own, it's hard to tell, but there are certainly conflicted feelings in the simple gesture. When she touches his hand, it's indeed as she'd said: cold. At the first second of touch, it's almost just like she'd been out on a cold night with no gloves. Just enough of a chill that it might not seem abnormal, but the temperature does change. It begins to become colder, quickly starting to chill as if her hand herself was frozen.

Johnny Storm has posed:
As Nessa's hand cools, Johnny's hand warms, watching her expression mostly - the heat coming from his hand quite controlled, drawn from the vast reserves of thermal energy contained within the man's body. "Just pull your hand back if it gets too uncomfortable... I don't know that your powers work anything like mine." He says softly.

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"I don't know either," Nessa admits, honestly. It's an experiement. They're doing science. Possibly dangerous science, but certainly science. As she keeps her hand there, it's a weird mix of concern and excitement all at the same time. Mostly, it seems, because she's not harming him. She's looking equal parts between his expression and their hands, as if monitoring the situation would somehow make a difference. "I haven't exactly tried anything like this with anything heat-related," she comments, though she almost seems unsure if she should even be speaking.

Even as his hand heats up to try and counteract the cold, it seems to work a little. The heat, however, is quickly shown to be her weakness, and her expression turns a little more distressed, though she tries to keep her hand where it is.

Johnny Storm has posed:
The heat is clearly doing better for Johnny in this case, keeping his hand from getting frostbite, or worse. He watches her expression, and as the distress starts to form, "Concentrate on your hand, focus on the chill surrounding your fingertips." He says, "Imagine taking that chill and starting to pull it back inside of your fingers, up your palm, and back up into your arms." He says, keeping his hand warm enough to be safe to him, but ready to cool things down again quickly if need be to avoid any further distress to the young cryomancer.

Nessa Donovan has posed:
No one'd ever given her some sort of direction on how to attempt to control it, so Nessa's eyes widen as she listens to the instruction... and tries to follow it. It might be working, her hand does seem to be less cold than it was before. No longer at the level that it might hurt someone, at least. Frostbite avoided. The distress doesn't quite leave her expression. There's clearly some concern there, though it's no longer really for him, it's for her. While he's managed to get her to draw some of the chill back, the heat's more than she can manage and, while she's clearly trying to fight it, moves to pull her hand back.

"Sorry, that was..." She's not even sure what she's apologizing for.

Johnny Storm has posed:
"No, don't apologize. That was good." Johnny says with a smile towards her, "You did really well. I sort of wondered something about this actually. I think that maybe your touch is something of a defense mechanism." He says, "Your body doesn't like heat, so you subconsciously try to get rid of heat touching it. If I were to touch your body through your shirt for example, would your skin have a similar response, try to drain the heat from whatever it was you were in contact with you?" he wonders, a hand coming over to his now cold fries, having been neglected for so long, and perhaps without thinking demonstrates one of those uses of his own powers that most wouldn't think of.. heating up the fries again right there on his plate.

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"It's only been contact with skin, really," Nessa says. "I wear gloves most of the time to avoid accidental contact because people don't particularly like having to go to the hospital because they've touched someone." There's some amusement there, but also the sobering reality of it. "It's a little frustrating that I've only made a little progress since I was a kid. I would have thought I'd be able to control it entirely by now, but it's not exactly the simplest of things, as it turns out. The guidebooks for these kinds of things aren't exactly straightforward." She grins sheepishly, looking down at her hand after a moment. "There was actually a decent chance it wouldn't have gone off like that, sometimes it just... doesn't. I can't explain why I can keep it under control half the time. Practice, maybe, but it's a little random." She glances back up at him. "Thanks, though. I don't have many opportunities to test this sort of thing."

Johnny Storm has posed:
"Well, I think nerves are part of it, your subconscious knows there's a barrier there, gloves, your shirt." He says with a little shrug, "Those are little things that reassure you that you're protected, or protecting someone else. I do the same sort of thing really, my powers protect me whether I want them to or not, I have a lot of control over them... I've been using them for so long, but still if I'm shot, for example, my body will torch up to protect me. I think your skin to skin problem is your body reaching out to cool down whatever's causing you discomfort. Maybe there's some magical thing to it that I don't undestand too, but I'd put money on my theory being at least a little bit on point!

Nessa Donovan has posed:
There's a small nod from Nessa. "That makes a lot of sense, actually. Defensive manuevers make the most sense." She offers him a smile. "I'll legitimately give you a call, I promise. I'd like to see if I can get this under control and you're thankfully a bit of an opposite when it comes to this. The fact that I didn't hurt you is... well, a relief. I've had that happen way too many times."

Johnny Storm has posed:
Johnny Storm flashes a grin, "I'm pretty tough, you know. I've fought side-by-side with Superman on several occasions, you know." - there comes the typical Johnny, teacher mode starting to fade - "If it weren't for your aversion to heat, I bet we could explore this whole thing a whole lot more infact. I lucked out and came into my powers with my family, and boy, is Reed one of the smartest people you'll ever meet so we were able to figure this out together."

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"Yeah, yeah, waving your credentials to the diner cook," Nessa grins back towards him. "But I don't know, maybe the heat thing is just because I haven't been exposed to it and it is the polar opposite. My family's full of various magic-wielding types, but nothing like me. This has just been a solo journey the entire time. I'm trying to find places to learn but it's always just been learning magic, learning control, but I've never really tried the temperature control thing as much." She looks down at her hand again. "I'm not going to lie and say that wasn't a little painful, but... who knows. You said you figured this stuff out with science. There's probably a little science to this, magic or not."

Johnny Storm has posed:
Johnny Storm flashes a grin, "Hey, now you've got your own story. You can tell all your friends you got to train with the Human Torch!" He teases as he sits there, taking a bite of his recently re-heated fries. "I'm curious, hot food, coffee, things like that. Can you eat or drink it without problems, or does that cause you distress too?"

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"I'll tell my many friends all about you, I'm sure," Nessa smirks, stirring her milkshake with her straw before taking another sip. "The food's not really a big deal, no, a lot of times the heat's worse if it's unexpected? Like the oven thing. I didn't think about all the hot air suddenly hitting me if I opened it too quickly and it was just... phew." She shrugs. "But it's more direct heat, hot air and the like seems to be the worst. The weather is unbearable sometimes. Sometimes I just can't go out."

Johnny Storm has posed:
"Isn't that interesting, huh? You can eat a hamburger fresh off the grill, but the grill itself can knock you on your ass." Johnny says with a little grin at her, "Makes you wonder a little doesn't it. Because fundamentally there's nothing really different between the two. So, I bet there is some sort of psychological thing going on there." He takes a bite of his re-heated fries. "The big question is how to get it all under check."

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"Yeah," Nessa does seem to be thinking about that. "I guess that's part of the weirdness of magic. It's easier to get psychological blocks and stuff, I think, that can be overcome. Control is the name of the game. It's all I've ever fully been trying to know. I only really feel I've made progress recently. I think that's getting attention, too. I'm getting better and people are seeing that. I'm no Human Torch, though." She grins in his direction. "Fighting alongside Superman isn't really my Friday afternoon itinerary. People aren't going to come to me for help. But it doesn't mean I don't have potential, and I think there are people who see that now."

Johnny Storm has posed:
"Hey, it's not all rainbows and sunshine." Johnny says, "My last home, literally, got shot into space by someone trying to get at is." He points up skywards, "I bet my pillow's still floating up there somewhere." Of course he's referring to when the Baxter Building was launched into orbit in a villanous plot. "And, it's not about potential, it's about being able to actually live a normal life. I can't imagine how bad it must be to actually be afraid of human contact, being able to touch someone's maybe one of the best things you can experience. I for sure couldn't live without that. You shouldn't have to either, if you ask me!"

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"I have, though," Nessa says, her tone a little softer. "You learn to deal with it, mostly because you don't want to hurt anyone. Sure, I have some control, but do you really want to risk touching someone's arm to comfort them and then just causing them pain? I guess it's about what you value. Teaches you a lot about life. There have been very few instances I've been able to touch someone safely, so I value it." She gestures towards him. "So know that you've done something very kind. Besides... I'll get it sorted eventually. I'm on the way there. I was told maybe there was some kind of magical item that could help, I could get that while I learned to control things fully."

Johnny Storm has posed:
"Aww, you're going to make me blush." Johnny says. "I'm a romantic at heart, so." He shrugs and gestures, "If you want to keep practicing I'll make some time in my schedule for you. We can experiment a bit too, see what we can figure out. I may not be the scientist Reed is, but a little bit of that has rubbed off on me, despite my best efforst. And I bet he'd be fascinated by your powers as wel and have some ideas of his own!"

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"I'd appreciate that, if you can make the time." Nessa offers him a smile. "Besides, I thought you were interesting before I knew you might be able to work on this with me, it would be nice to hang out." She pauses. "I definitely owe you a meal though. You pick a favorite, I'll make it for you. Whatever you'd like."

Johnny Storm has posed:
"Well, luckily I've got nothing but time right now." Johnny laughs, "And lucky for you, our particular powers aren't all that different from one another, otherwise I'd probably be the worst teacher you could find!" He gives her a little grin, "But, you've got a deal though, I'll come up with a good meal for you to whip up for me soon."

Nessa Donovan has posed:
Nessa finishes the last of her milkshake. "Well, I work a lot and when I'm not working I'm practicing magic, so I'm sure I can squeeze you in somewhere in my busy schedule." There's some amusement there, at least. "I guess I got lucky we're such opposites, kind of works out in a funny way. If there's any way I can thank you in advance for all this besides the meal, just let me know."

Johnny Storm has posed:
"I can't imagine anything else I'd ask for in advance besides the meal." Johnny says with a little laugh at the offer, "Maybe you had something in mind, perhaps?" he asks, "Otherwise, I'll have to think on it!"

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"Well, diner fare is pretty simple. Breakfast foods, comfort foods... that's what I'm good at. So if you want something I'm good at, I can cook bacon and eggs to perfection. Best in town. If you're feeling particularly adventurous, I can try something I don't normally cook. I like the culinary challenge." Nessa glances back over at him. "Whatever strikes your fancy, I'll give it a shot. You just let me know."

Johnny Storm has posed:
"I'd be dumb to turn down your specialty." Johnny says, "Bacon and Eggs sounds perfect to me. Especially the best bacon and eggs in town! Maybe after we can explore other foods, down the road." He muses before nodding his head.

Nessa Donovan has posed:
The last of her fries are finished as well, and Nessa gets to her feet, slinging her bag over her shoulder. "Good choice, fluffiest eggs you've ever had, I promise." She winks at him. "It's a good start, I'm sure we can work towards something complicated. I need an excuse to try new things anyway." The bag is adjusted on her shoulder before she nods in his direction. "Hope I'll be seeing you soon, Johnny."
