2388/A first date.

A first date.
Date of Scene:	09 July 2020
Location:	Chez Villa - New Troy
Synopsis:	And the first part of a first date seems to be going well.

Bart Allen has posed:
Impulse found a place he could take Siobhan and being in costume might not be as odd as others. He calls her up to set up the date for a day or two in future giving her time to prepare if she needs to. He even offers to pick her up. He will either meet her at her place or somewhere she chooses.

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
Siobhan just tells him to meet her there. She wants to find her own way in case she ever needs to find it again. She was new to the city, so part of it was just wanting to find her own way. She smiles as she arrives, not really dressing up as it were. She has her hands in her pockets as she stands outside the place, looking at it before she looks around for the guy who is supposed to meet her here.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen will pace for a bit while waiting on her, but he does wait for her. He made sure to stop by big belly burger, and ate before the date. He will still eat here but figures it might be best not to have 18 courses while on a date. He is in costume, but has brushed his hair, and made sure no stains or anything on him. He smiles and will zip up next to her as she gets there "Hey, glad you could make it."

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A blink as he appears right in front of her and she laughs, "Yeah, hi." She states and then tilts her head, "So, Impulse." She grins, "Glad you could make it." She smirks, "What with the busy day of a superhero." She nods her head and then she looks at the place briefly before nodding, "I'm down. Fancier dan I'm used to but I don't mind it." She laughs and nods.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen smiles and says "I checked out a few dozen places, and figures with this play being near the Hall of Justice seeing someone in costume might get less eyebrows raised. He offers her his arm, and says "I made sure a few friends knew I would be busy for a couple hours so unless it is a really big thing some of my friends should handle any problems. Plus New York, Metropolis, Gotham, luckily aint hurting to bad for heroes." He offers as a bit of a joke.

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A smile at him and she rolls her eyes before taking his arm and smiling, "I see. Got it all planned out then." She nods her head and walks in with him before looking over at him and then forward, "So, ya plan to treat me like a lady all night or somethin'?" She asks and gives him a smirking side eye. She nods her head, "Not sure what part of how I dress made ya tink I do."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen smiles a bit and says "Well, I figure it is a date, and you are a nice girl, would you prefer I act a different way?" He will ask her. He checks into the place, and gets their table "So, did you have a good day today?"

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A ssirk and she walks with him to the table before she tilts her head, "Just act yourself, that's all." She states and nods her head, "And I'll be me." She then looks around the place at the people before saying, "Oh, and I had an alright day. Nothin' too big to complain about." She nods her head and smiles.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen smiles and will nod a bit and pulls a chair out to have a seat "Oh got a part time job, I am working nights at a couple zoos." He till tell her "Part of the night clean up crews." He smiles and will actually order water to drink unlike the red bull he had on the show. You had any luck?"

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
"I have found a few places to play at." She nods her head and smiles as he sits. She settles into her own spot and idly orders her own water before looking over at him, "So, the zoo? You're really into animals then, huh?" She chuckles and nods her head as she sips her drink, "That sounds pretty cool. I'm not all that great with animals but then I don't think they like me much."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen says, "I have been thinking about working with them, they don't look at me the same way a lot of people do. "Oh have you ever had any pets, maybe you just need to be around them more? Took me a while to learn to go their speed for them."

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A smile and she laughs, "I sometimes seem to do well around wild animals." She nods her head, "Maybe I do." She shrugs, "Just pets seem to be bothered by me sometimes." She nods her head, "Then again, I don't know." She grins at him, "Anyway, what do you mean by how they look at you? Do people have trouble with you cause you're fast or something? I mean, you are in a costume."

Bart Allen shrugs a bit and says "Somewhat, as I said, I came from the future, so I end up acting a bit different than some people, and takes me a bit to fit in. I mean like where I came from and such vehicles were different science as well. Luckily am a quick study." He smiles a bit

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A grin and she nods, "Yeah, I can't quite say I understand de path of not fittin' in dat much. I'm from another country, not another time." She then shrugs, "All the same, it's nice to find osmething ya love." She nods her head, "I found dat in my music." She nods again, "And it helps a lot." She then tilts her head, "So, were ya not supposed to go back after you got better or somethin'? Didn't dey have a plan for you to return?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen shakes his head and says "I went back once, but can't go back full time, it is a bit of a weird thing. This time is my home now, my friends are here and I feel needed here. I don't really know then to be honest. You plan on going back to Ireland, or is this your home now?

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
"I don't know for sure. I'm sure I'll go back to visit but...I don't have anything there." She looks down briefly even as she pokes at the menu to figure out what she wants, "I really don't have any family. Like I mentioned to ya. THey aren't in the future or anything. They're just dead." She shrugs and nods her head. She then looks up to him, "What are you tinkin' of havin'?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen says, "I am thinking about the steak, the pasta, and maybe the chicken breast." He grins a bit sheepishly "I go through a lot of calories." He tells her. "I am sorry about your family, but you can make new family and friends here. I mean I hope we can be friends or maybe more and see how that does. I gotta admit, I think your interesting and very attractive. I would definitely fight bowser to save you.""

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A blink at that and then she laughs, "You're at least amusing. I'll give you dat." She smirks and nods her head, "And I think I'll go with the pasta." She nods her head, "I have not had any pasta since comin' here and I want to try it." She then looks down again at the menu, "And I tink we're definitely gonna end up friends at the very least." She nods her head, "We'll talk about more as time goes." She grins.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen smiles and nods, this seems to be ok with him, and says "Mind if I ask you something somewhat personal?" He looks at her, after they make their orders. I have been curious, I know about your ability with languages and two things came to mind. First do you do the hero thing? I understand if you can't tell me your other identity if you do. Was also wondering does it allow you to read and write other languages?"

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A laugh and she shakes her head, "No, I can't read or write the languages and no, I'm not a hero. I did have someone say dat I was somethin' of a hero for singin' for people recently but no, not a hero." She grins and shakes her head even as she looks down at the menu briefly and looks up at him, "And I assure you, speaking other languages would not stop a robber."

Bart Allen smiles a bit and says "Well did not know if you might have other abilities like I can read at super speed as well, if that was the first think you heard I could do, it would not sound like a superhero power. Have you considered a job as a translator?

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
"I have, but it's not for me." She grins, "I don't want to spend my time translatin' and I'm not really a diplomatic type who can just keep quiet and say what others are sayin'." She chuckles and nods, "I'd want to respond." She nods her head and shrugs before she looks up to him a moment. She then looks over and orders her food before she waits for him to do so and then says, "I just want to do my music and help out where I can."

Bart Allen nods a bit to this and says "Well if there is anything I can do to help let me know. I do have an idea for something when we get done eatting, but would be me taking you somewhere and bringing you back afterwards if your interested.

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A blink at that and she tilts her head, "Goin' somewhere and comin' back, huh?" She asks and tilts her head before looking at him with some skepticism, "I suppose it can't hurt." She states and then looks down at her hands a moment before nodding, "If that's what you'd like, sure. I might as well give it a go and see what you have to show. Not sure what ya got up your sleeve though."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen smiles and says "I have two ideas, need to decide which one, but I think you will enjoy both, maybe do one today and one another time. You like Rock and Roll you said right?"

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A nod and she smiles, "Yeah. Among other things." She chuckles and nods her head as she idly looks over at the restaurant and some people still looking before looking back at him, "Of course, I'll just have to wait and see. In the mean time. Did you choose your name and costume or did someone else?" She hmms.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen smiles and says "Well the costume I did, and this time I chose the name, but when it was originally my name it was given to me by the Flash. I went by Kid Flash for a while and wore the classic yellow and red costume, but I like being me. I mean one day I maybe the Flash, but I hurry and do a lot of things, thats not one I am in a hurry for.

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A smile and she nods, "Well, at least ya got a choice in that. That's nice." She grins, "And the costume looks pretty good even if it isn't yellow and red." She chuckles and then she considers, "Ya know, dere's a lot of you fast types about from what I have read. Of course, dere's a lot of hero types around here period."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen nods, and says "Well I don't think I will be giving to much away, some of us speedsters are related, some of us are not. There is a force that we are connected to that grants us our speed. Think of it as sorta Jedi speedsters." He offers with a smile. "Jedi powers seemed to run in families, but more than one family.

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A smile, "I wasn't askin' for any info on the others, really. Just kinda was tinkin' it was strange dat dere were so many." She nods again before she thinks on what he says and then huhs, "Well, dat makes a lot more sense. I can kinda understand tings runnin' in families like dat. I am from Ireland after all. We are all about families and family ties." She nods again, "Some of us even have legends and myths that run in families." She laughs a little, "I imagine my father or mother were probably really good with languages, too."

Bart Allen offers he a smile and says "So, what got you into music? I mean as I said the other day I learned to play really quick, it was because a band was not able to play, so my cousin and I had to play for my junior high dance.

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
"Ah, that was me father originally. Although he passed early in my life, he was rather big into music before he did. My mother kept it goin'." She smiled and nods, "Along with my brother where he could before he went." She frowns a little and then she looks down briefly before saying, "Sorry, honestly, talkin' about my past tends to always end with...and then dey died." She sighs and shakes her head, "It's rather a downer."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen will reach over to take her hand and says "I know it is not the same, but I think I can sorta understand, I found out my dad died before I was born, and I only got to see my mom for maybe a week or so when I was fourteen, and doubtful I will get to see her again, because of my grandfather.

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A smile as she looks at him before she nods again, "Yeah, but..." She trails off and then pulls her hand back a little after that thought and clenches her fist, "Listen, I don't want to play who had the worse life here but dere's just stuff I can't talk about. Ya know?" She looks up at him and nods her head. Her mind going to that time she watched her brother literaly feed himself to her dead father and she sucks in a sharp breath before saying, "Can we just move on?"

Bart Allen nods, and says "Yea, sorry, not trying to one up you sorry just trying to let you know I would listen if ya wanted someone to." He hmmms and says "So lets see whats your favorite color? I believe the stereotype is your supposed to like Emerald green?

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A smirk and she looks up at Bart before looking down at herself and back to him, "Not to be cliche but...black." She grins a little and gestures to her jacket and then the symbol on her chest. She then shrugs and looks to him, "And you? What color is yours? Yellow?" She chuckles.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen hmms and says "Well, it does have a special place with me." He will says and looks around and lifts his goggles for a moment, so she can see his irises are yellow. "But I think my favorite color is probably Red, it makes you go faster you know." He offers with a joking smile.

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
"Ah, wasn't aware of dat." She smirks and nods her head, "I suppose that might be true." She considers, "I have 'eard that red cars are the fastest." She smirks and nods her head. THen her food starts to arrive and she grins, nodding to the server as he passes her food and Bart's over. She nods a thank you to the man before her eyes go back to Bart, "And what kind of music do you future types listen to? Anything by the great Siobhan Smythe?" She winks and laughs.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen smiles and says "Well to be honest most of what I had played for me was either classical, or electronic music. " He sets his food around him, and will wait till she starts to eat before he does. My years in the future were a bit different than most others there.

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A nod and then she smirks, "Not exactly my favorite, classical, but I do like some electronic music." She nods her head, "I was just curious." She nods her head and then proceeds to eat some of her pasta, smiling as she takes a bite, "Dis is pretty good." She adds and then looks up at him and all his food, "Must be odd to have such an appetite." She grins, "Or I suppose ya might get used to it."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen smiles and says "For me I have known nothing different, I have always been at this speed sorta." He admits to he "It is nice to et to try a bunch of different things." He will cut off a piece of everything to put on a side plate offering to her "If you want to try the different things. My friends have told me it is important to not tell people stuff about their future, I mean I don't know it all, and it changes with me being here, but I so know a decent amount, some things have changed though.

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A smile and she nods, "I see. I can understand that." she states, "I mean, I've always been good at music and languages." She then looks at the offered food and chuckles, "Maybe but I will be havin' trouble with my pasta here." She gestures and nods her head before she looks at him with a hmm, "Everyting must be so slow for ya, right?" She asks and tilts her head.

Bart Allen looks to her, and says "Took me a while, I am still a bit well impulsive and here and there but I can handle it a bit more. A mentor of mine has taught me a lot, and think I am much better than I used to be. If I start sounding odd tell me to slow down... " He hmmms and sas "Wanna try something a bit odd with the whole speech and translating thin?

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A blink and she tilts at him before shrugging, "Soemthing odd? I do like odd tings." She grins and nods her head, "I warn ya though, whatever the language is, its gotta be a real language for me to be able to work with it." She chuckles and nods her head.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen will look at her, and starts talking "IwaswonderingifyoucanunderstandmewhenItalkatspeed.ItisnotanactuallanguagebutIthoughtyoumightbeabletounderstandmealsowonderwhynotfakelanguagesandwhatmakesalanguagefake?" He says all of this pretty quickly and in one breath watching to see if she can understand him.

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
There's a slow blink from her and she shakes her head slowly before saying, "Uh...nope." She states, "I think that sounded like English but just fast English." She chuckles and grins her head, "I don't tink I'm gonna be understandin' anything like dat." She shrugs and takes a bite of pasta, slurping it down before adding, "Just too fast for me."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen nods his head a bit to this and says "Yea, that is me talking at m normal speed without taking a moment between words. I can do it pretty easily now, but when I first started had to learn to talk to 15 or 30 between each word. "Was curious what makes a made up languae?"

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A laugh, "Well, I'm no linguist despite my ability but...if someone were to just start babblin' out words without any real meanin' or even if you were to perhaps say furble when ya meant apple, it won't pick up on it. I personally think part of it is magic." She nods her head and chuckles.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen hmms and nods his head, "But if someoen started to talk to you in klingon or elvish even though they have been made up, but were fully made it would work?

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A shrug and she laughs, "Maybe." She nods her head, "As long as de language were in some way fully realized or used regularly, I imagine I might pick up on it." She nods again and then takes another bite of her food, seeming to enjoy the pasta, "It's not like I make the rules for this sort of ting." She laughs and nods her head, "I just benefit from it."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen nods his head a bit and smiles "I open am not being a pain asking about it." He eats a bit more and soon has all his plates empty "When is your birthday?"

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A blink at that and then she hmms, "Well, dat is October 12." She nods her head as she speaks and then tilts he rhead, "When is yours? I mean, technically you're negative years old, aren't ya?" She laughs and shrugs, "But I'm sure you wouldn't mind celebrating it, right?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen smiles and says "About a month ago June 11th 2097. Legally here I am 18 though with the id and such I was set up with. My age is actually a complicated thing as 3 different ages can be accurate for me.

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A smirk and she shakes her head, "Well, happy late birthday den." She chuckles and shrugs, "I can tink of two ages for ya but a dird?" She blinks and tilts her head, "What would be dat one and why?" She hmms even as she eats more of her pasta, confusion on her face.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen smiles a bit and says "Part of why I was sent back here. I was aging faster than I should have been. I have the whole negative age, how many years I have experienced from my point of view, ad then he age if you add up the years I have been a physical presence to others. in 2099 I was 14 to my experience, but only two years since I was born.

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A blink as she tilts her head and looks at him. She then considers a few things and then shakes her head, "I really don't know how to take dat. So, you're what? Three now?" She chuckles and shakes her head, "Wait, is dat why ya came back here? Was the whole speed ting agin' ya super quick or somethin'?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen nods his head a bit to the second part and says "-77, 6, and 18." He looks at her, and says "I spent two years in the future but was in a place, where I experienced the first 14 years of m life as normal years to me but not to others." He looks to her and says "I hope that does not freak you out to much. You want to finish up here and go try the surprise part?"

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A smile and a nod, "Sure, that sounds good and I suppose I am not too freaked out. Sounds rough but den..." She shrugs, "I know rough." She chuckles softly and then she finishes her last bite of pasta and pushes the plate back, "Yeah, lets get tings wrapped up and move on." She nods her head.
