A normal day
Date of Scene: 12 July 2020
Location: Gotham Elementary school
Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: David Corriea, Ella Normandy

David Corriea has posed:
David opens the door to the school and begins to sign in to the school. He was here to pick up Olivia Corriea, his 10 year old sister. He is met with a sudden throng of children as they begin to leave the building. He then begins to head to her classroom and knocks on the door. "Hello, I am here to pick up Livvy?" He says as he looks about the class room

Ella Normandy has posed:
Vampirella is drawing the blind as David enters. The thin, nearly translucent slats of white plastic don't do much to block the sun, but even they offer a little relief to her skin that she feel sizzling on the cellular level, a pain prolonged by the stolen blood in her veins churning and spending itself to repair her ongoing wounds. She's surprised a man was able to sneak up on her even though she should have expected it; her senses are dulled by the blinding light, the cacophony of daylight sounds, the scents of child hormones blending with their unwashed skin, and most of all the distraction of the pain it costs to be active in the daylight. In a way, she relishes that she can be surprised in the day. It's one of the small but important things that separates her from humanity.

Vampirella turns to face David. The effort not to squint against the light is constant but so well-practiced she doesn't even register it any more. "I see," says she, politely, in her thick accent. "And you are...?"

David Corriea has posed:
David nods as he watches the woman. She was attractive. But he put that out of his mind. "Yes I am here to pick up my little sister? Olivia Corriea?" He asks as he watches the woman. He then smiles. He then smiles when he sees the little red haired girl who jumps and gives David a hug. He then offers his hand to Ella. "David Corriea." He finally says.

Ella Normandy has posed:
Vampirella doesn't allow her eyes to narrow. "Ella Normandy," she introduces, shaking his hand limply to avoid letting him notice her strength. She nods toward (rather than at) Olivia, smiling a pleasant, meaningless smile as she asks, "I take it her parents are busy today?"

David Corriea has posed:
"Our mother is a waitress and working a double shift. Our father has been dead since I was eight." David. explains as he looks to the woman. He smells of ozone strangely enough. He then looks to Ella. "Is it Mrs or miss?" He asks curiously as he watches her curiously. While attracted, he isnt letting it guide him, he hugs Olivia and he smiles.

Ella Normandy has posed:
Vampirella manages not to smirk with her face, but there's a little of one audible in her voice as she answers, "Ms." She doesn't wear a ring, for what it's worth, and has left most of her jewelry at home; she has an armlet because she feels naked without a little gold on her, but there's not much chance you can see that through the sleeve of her blouse. "And you?" she asks politely.

David Corriea has posed:
"Oh single, not for a lack of my mother's trying." he says softly as he watches her and he nods. "Tomorrow we are going to go to our father's grave. Any work you have for her, can you give to me so I can see to it she completes it when we get home?" He asks softly.

Ella Normandy has posed:
"Olivia already knows it." Vampirella doesn't quite kneel, but she does bend over at the waist, one hand on her thigh for support, one on Olivia's shoulder for an entirely different kind of support. To the girl, she says with a little, sympathetic smile, "Under the circumstances, I can't tell you to have a good trip, but I can say it's okay if it's not a good trip." She squeezes Olivia's shoulder and straightens back up, tossing her head to get her hair back behind her again. "And to you," she adds to David, in case it wasn't clear.

David Corriea has posed:
David nods as he smiles at his sister. "Thank you, Miss Normandy." He says as he goes to leave with his sister in tow. He watches the school, remembering when he was a kid here. Constantly getting into fights because people claimed his father was a crooked cop. He shakes his head and begins to head out.

Ella Normandy has posed:
Vampirella's eyes linger on Olivia for a moment. The girl's not too young to have to learn about death, but even so, Vampirella can't help lingering her gaze the brave little heart walking out into a world where graveyards wait for her. Without a moment's thought, just obeying the keen instincts that drive her existence, Vampirella offers, "I'll walk you out." She doesn't allow Olivia to see her looking at her--it would just make the kid self-conscious, an impulse Vampirella only understands through observation--and she asks, "Do you have plans to keep Olivia out of school after the trip?"

David Corriea has posed:
"No. Mother intends for her to complete school." David explains as he walks with Olivia and Ella. "When did you get here?" He asks curiously as he looks about the school. "I went to school here, and I havent seen you before." He quickly tries to explain as he turns to face her, making eye contact.

Ella Normandy has posed:
Vampirella just nods, playing it casual. "That's good. The students and the faculty would both miss her." Vampirella's eye contact is fearless. "This is my first year. Do you think I'm so old you would have been a student here when I had my degree?" she asks wryly.

(Vampirella doesn't have a degree and is old enough to be David's grandmother, but there's no point letting him know either of those things.)

David Corriea has posed:
David chuckles. "Sorry. I think your beautiful if you want my honest opinion." He says with a faint blush and olivia just makes a face at her brother. "Quit hitting on my teacher." She orders as he smiles. "Sorry livvy." He says apologetically. He then smiles to Ella. "welcome to Gotham, if others dont welcome you already. I actually run an ice cream parlour. Come on down, first meal and ice cream is on the house for newcomers."

Ella Normandy has posed:
"Thank you," Vampirella says, though whether to David or to Olivia is open to intepretation. She dodges the mass of fleeing children without bothering to tell any of them not to run; as far as she's concerned, falling is the only way to learn. "I might stop by and say hello, but forgive me if I don't order anything. I have dietary restrictions."

    Well it's not a lie.

David Corriea has posed:
David nods as he begins to walk with olivia to a nearby car, an electric car from the looks of it. Once she gets in, he begins to drive off and leave vampirella at the school.
