Cast of Characters: Alexander Aaron, Clarice Ferguson

Alexander Aaron has posed:
After the events of the last week and some, it had caused a time of reflection for the young man known as Alexander Aaron, the Greek God of Fear in all of his magnificence. Reflection on what passed and his role in it, with the birth of the city's soul and its place in a pantheon entirely other than the ones he is familiar with. It had showed him that there existed things even beyond and above him that were on another level entire and it had given him a view of his place in the world...
And it was not shocking, nor disconcerting. But more... emboldening. For he had taken it as a challenge and ran with it. For four days straight after the victory he had turned to himself, taken up residence in one of his father's safehouses. University was forgotten, at least for now. It was left behind as he trained and trained, for four days straight trying to push himself towards complete exhaustion even though his divine body did not allow him such respite. Until eventually he reached a breaking point and rushed past it...
And was given the mercy of unconsciousness as he fell and recovered.
    For the last two days.
In his apartment now, curled up on the couch with a mass of covers around him, Alexander was resting deep in the wee hours of the night or early morning. The television was still alive with a beautiful screen saver of a single color-shifting polygon that bounces around the screen before various peaceful images. The Olympian youth was wearing a loose black t-shirt and boxers, clearly having dropped onto the couch and fallen to sleep.

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
There had been no big revelation for Clarice, or a fight for the soul of a God. Revelation had not come in the form of transcendence but in simple friendship where she had shared a fine afternoon amidst friends, celebrating Kitty's birthday. It had been a good respite from all the danger, all the problems happening in the world. A simple time in which she could had just been herself instead of Genosha's Royal bodyguard.

Eventually an idea formed on her mind, a plan, and then she had decided to pay a visit to a friend. She had been there in the past when they met at the ESU, so it was but a simple matter of recalling the place and actually jumping there.. She had this..

An intriguing sound is heard from within the kitchen, a sound as if something was opening and then closing down... A blink in the fabric of reality. "Shit.., I wanted to had jumped to the hallway outside.." she murmurs to herself. She blamed that blasted asgardian mead. Really, there should be warning on the labels. Good thing she had snatched just the tail end of it, enough for a small sip and brought it along with her in a lemonade bottle.

But yes, someone is DEFINITELY inside Alexander's apartment right now.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
If she had any insight into the youth's mind at the moment she might be surprised at just how /little/ patience he had right now. His eyes opened and he grimaced, crinkling his nose as he took a deep breath. The lessons from his trainers would have told him to be silent, be quiet, do not let the intruder know you're awake...
But right now Alexander has no patience for caution. So when the sound is heard and the voice, a voice he doesn't immediately recognize, he /craaaawls/ slowly over the back of the sofa to peer across the way toward the kitchen. She might well see the shock of blond hair first, then those bright hazel eyes peeking over the side of the sofa as he peers across the way at her.
"I don't have anything valuable here, you're wasting your time." Which isn't entirely true, just really it wouldn't be worth a burglar's time to rob the place. Though Alex starts to lean to the side and push some of the covers off of the couch, clearly getting ready to get up.

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
Right, hrm, how to explain this ...

"Wasting my time? Hope not. And uh, surprise?" Yea, better not to explain anything. Not that Clarice would find a good explanation so ..., just go along with it. Steps are heard making their way across the kitchen floor, quiet, trained. Clearly someone who has made this a living.

"Thought I'd visit since I wasn't too far." Whatever 'too far' means. The woman that appears by the doorway is clearly Clarice, a sleeveless white top that clearly covers some kind of bikini top underneath of a darker color, a scarf wrapped about her legs. Curiously enough there is sand on her feet and a bit on her legs, over a shoulder. Most likely from a beach. Are there even beaches close by?!

"Hope you aren't sick..?" she says of the couch-ridden Alexander.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
From that place on the couch she can just see the top of his head and his eyes. But then he lifts an eyebrow as he gives her a once over, which leads to his brows beetling together as the various pieces of the situation register. Yet as people often do, he fills in the blanks mentally which what makes the most sense... if not entirely the truth of the matter.
"Did I leave the door unlocked?" That's not like him. His eyebrows rise as he likely reflects that to be fair the last few days are not exactly like him either.
But then he straightens up a little and she'll see his smile then, grinning and biting his lower lip as he looks her over in that faint bit of light given by the glow of the television and the moon beyond the large window nearby behind the couch a ways.
"Hey," He tells her, then leans forward and extends a hand in her direction. "No, m'not sick. Kinda tired. But I'm glad to see you." And, to be fair, what she's wearing is rather flattering.

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Yes, that was it." Great! Clarice doesn't even need to be pondering on an excuse. Alexander dutifully provides one. "I guess I know now why you didn't call. All cuddled under that cocoon." she making her way over more properly to the living room, eyes cast here and there and she takes in the place and then finally Alexander.

"There was a big celebration at the beach, thought I might call but then.., nah. Just make it a surprise."

Unnatural green eyes then focuses on Alexander's expression. "What got you all roughed up?" curiosity on her tone.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
When she draws close he'll take her hand and /puuuulll/ her close so that he can touch his lips just to the corner of her mouth in greeting. A small kiss given, gentle and more affectionate than at thing of passion. But then he eases back down and makes room for her on the couch if she wishes to join him while he turns to rest his back against the arm of the sofa, drawing his feet up under him cross-legged.
"Mmm, there was this..." His brow furrows as he looks at her, then down, then back up at her. He bites his lower lip and seems pensive for a moment. Then he takes a deep breath. "Hey." He gestures to the seat opposite him. "I think you should sit down, I wanted to tell you stuff."
    Stuff.
One leg twists and he draws it up against his chest, resting his arms around it and his chin on the knee as he looks thoughtful for a time, then murmurs. "But hey. I hope it was a good celebration." He remembers to say that, so as to not launch into his own thing all rudely.
"So. Stuff." Yeah stuff. "I sorta didn't want to like lay tons of stuff on you when we first met or started hanging out. And I sorta didn't want to just make it all like, about me and stuff. But I sort of figure it's a good idea to tell you now. And if I don't take that time, then it might never happen. So you ok for like, a talk talk? Or should I keep it light talk?"

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
The affectionate greeting is returned, the mutant smiling back at Alexander and she taking a seat on the arm of that couch. There was the scent of the sea about her, purple hair sprayed about shoulders. Almost as she had just been at the beach a moment ago.

"Alright, I am sitting now. And it was." She replies with a brief nod of her head. It did make her smile, the time spent there even if she couldn't help but have it also feel .., bittersweet at all that would come in the future. Trouble was brewing afterall.

"Fine with a talk talk I think? And what? Going to share with me some kind of big secret?" A brow quirking up. Well, she was curious at least. "Are you going to tell me you are a mutant?" it made sense, he lived near mutant town.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
    "Talk talk."
For a time Alexander sort of sits there and extends his other leg forward to just lightly touch hers, not so much for any reason beyond just having that small human contact as if to share it for while he tries to figure out how exactly to phrase things. He's told people before, but it's always a difficult thing to dance around, and with some people blurting it might be fine. But others... not so much.
So Alexander looks to the side, then back. "I'm not a mutant." Which on some level might disappoint her, "I mean, there are some schools of thought people saying we might be. But I think it's something else really." So now there's a 'we' involved.
"But umm, well like remember when I told you I don't feel fear. That I was injured when I was younger right?" That 'white lie' he told if only to explain to her why he doesn't react to things in the same way as other people. He takes a deep breath and murmurs, "That's not really related to an injury. I mean it sort of was. But it came about during a time I was hurt, not because of it."
Then he spreads his hands a little, "My father is very old, and immortal. And our family is very magical. Because I'm his son I picked up some things. And right now I'm sort of... just very tired because I was dealing with a thing that was going on. And I was about to confide in you about that thing, but realized I didn't tell you the other things. So I figured I should tell you that first before I tell you the other stuff."
But then he smiles a little, "So I mean, I guess what I'm saying is things were tough. And I realized that... I dunno. I wanted to tell you all about them, since I like you a lot. And want to share with you. Ok?"

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"But you are .., something different." Is what Clarice replies when Alexander mentions not being a mutant, and then that 'we'. It makes the mutant's brows furrow in a considering thought at what this exactly may be. Though she's focused, at least as much as one can be after the earlier mead. But good enough. So she listens in silence, one leg pulled up to her chest.

"And now you are playing around the issue.." when Alexander speaks about it being an injury, then not. Hey, she doesn't have to be polite when tipsy!

"A magical family. That means what?" Some doubt creeping up to her expression. "You are some sort of wizard?" she may not be buying this just yet.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
"I mean," Alexander looks to the side blinking a little, "I could be. If I studied I suppose." You're a wizard, Alex! Then the blond youth shakes his head and tilts his gaze the other way back to her. He rests an arm on the back of the sofa and shifts his legs to the side a Little.
"It's like, alright you know Thor and his family are magical people because of their culture I suppose and his bloodline, right?" Alexander lifts his gaze upwards, then back down. "Or uh, Hercules. He's been pretty prominent at times, right? So I'm sort of like that."
"Only I was kinda normal-ish when I was a kid. Then I was kidnapped, and things were not so good. But when I came back my powers had kicked in, and all of the changes that came with it did too. So. Yeah."
Then he meets her gaze and tells her levelly. "Sorta a god."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"If you studied..." Clarice echoes. "Like in magic school...?" that brow couldn't be more raised even if it wanted too. And trust me, it wants to be more raised. But she will end up just shaking her head.

"And sure, I know Thor. Gods to some, aliens to others. It's one of those things I never really figured out too well on what to think." She folds her arms together, that look of disbelief still there. "And sure, Hercules.., the 12 jobs and all that." yay, mythology!

"And .., I mean, I could say there's a lot of guys that think themselves some kind of god.." A sigh but then she watches Alexander a bit more attentively. "But I will bite.., what kind of God then? Fearlessness?" makes sense, considering that all..., no-fear thing.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
"Well, of fear." Alexander tilts his head at her and lowers his gaze, "Though my grandfather likes to say that like, we are not just responsible for what most know us for, but the opposite of it as well. So I suppose you can say I'm the god of courage. Too. And my dad is also sort of the god of peace. Depending on how you look at it."
But he's getting that old creeping feeling, that hesitance entering his tone of voice as he can tell she's not entirely going along with it. His brow furrows as she can almost see him mentally distancing himself as he chews his bottom lip then looks away.
"I mean, hey. Maybe you're right. Maybe I'm just full of shit." He spreads his hands, flaring the fingers as if to say, 'oh well!'.
    "Anyways, that was it."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"I don't like that look on your face." Clarice replies when she notes the hesitance entering the man's voice, along with the bottom lip chewing. "I mean, unless you just expect people to blindly believe on something like that all of a sudden?" then she giving it a moment's pause, fingertips brushing on her chin. "Why did you choose now to tell it though?"

Blink rests back on the arm of that couch, continuing to fully regard Alexander, attentively. "Why isn't your face out there on the papers though? I mean, Thor and Hercules are recognizable."

Alexander Aaron has posed:
"Yeah just..." Alexander lifts a hand to the back of his neck thoughtfully, "The providing of proof rarely goes well. I've had people get hurt before during it. Or they say they... want to be scared and no. No they don't really want to be."
He sits up and then uncurls a hand at her, "Now, I figured I'd tell you since there was this thing that I helped with. A bunch of magical type people got together and had to deal with a big problem. I wanted to tell you about it. But, I mean, would be hard to tell you about it without providing the why of why I would be involved. Right?"
"As for that," The recognizable thing, "I'm not a hero, I don't go out looking for trouble. Though it sometimes finds me. Sometimes."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Well, on hindsight..." And yea, Clarice considers on how exactly Alexander -would- prove that he was indeed who he claimed to be. It makes her raise her hands up. "Let's skip that part and lets say I sort of believe you for now." it's not as if she hadn't figured there was something .., different with him. Then an idea. "You know Kitty. Does she know about you?" she then asks.

"Everyone can be a hero in the right circumstances." She smiling faintly. "Doesn't mean we go look for trouble, but we all do the best we can."

Then she appears to make her own decision, eyes turning from Alexander to look to the middle of the empty living room. She extends one hand. "But since you told me yours I suppose I can.., show you mine." a sound alike the one that popped a bit ago when she came in is heard again and then a portal begins to open up, growing in size until they are seeing a clear view of that dance club they were at a few weeks back.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
"Yeah, she does." There's some hesitance there, some hint of suspicion perhaps as he looks to he side and a small sour twist touches his features. "Was probably circumstance, but this piano fell and I sort of smashed it. Got this big splinter of wood through my arm so I ran off and she followed and saw that I was healing from it so..."
A hand lifts and uncurls to the side, "So she'd back me up if you call her." He smiles a little as he tilts his head back in her direction, "And yah, I know what you mean."
But then she offers to show him hers and his eyebrow quirks, then follows along to the side when she gestures. As she almost casually destroys the laws of physics with that gesture, creating that portal before her he sort of smiles, then blinks a few times and grins. "Oh hey, is that..?"
Pushing to his feet he leans over and peers through that portal. And indeed it's the same club, only right now so late at night and no show going on it looks very empty, though there may well be a surprised mouse looking back at them curiously from the other side. "Is that, can you like walk through? So you can teleport?"

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Well, I was just with her a while ago but I will leave that for another time." Confirming it, that is. Can never be too careful! "Only because I don't have a piano around to crash on you."

But then she is opening a portal, hand remaining extended while she maintains it, watching the street on the other side. "Not exactly teleport. More like open portals and stepping through them. And a few other things." Though then she offers the young man a wink. ".. But I won't just tell all my secrets in the some day." she blinks the portal close and gets up to her feet, stepping to the middle of the room and, to demonstrate, she opens a portal and steps through it.

A moment after she is walking in from the kitchen. Which -does- explain a few things! "Not exactly the 'I am a Goddess' kind of secret but there you go."

Alexander Aaron has posed:
A slight grin appears as he murmurs, "So that's why you sorta smell like the beach?" Which would make sense as he follows her as she wanders through and then back out of the kitchen, causing him to twist in his spot, and shift those comforters off to the side. He gives a small laugh as he shakes his head, "See that's pretty cool."
But then his brow furrows and he /shoots/ an accusing glower at her. "Ohmigod you mean we could have been going out to like the Caymans for dancing, or like having breakfast in Paris?" He makes a small 'hnh' sound as if she had totally been holding out on him. Which she had.
"Wow that's pretty great." But in keeping the tone of things he sort of rolls to his feet and looks around the room blinking a little as he looks thoughtful. "Mmm, there's nothing like... very heavy in here..."
Those bright hazel eyes slip from point to point to point, until he smiles, "Oh here, like... maybe this will..."
The rest of what he says is lost as he casually leans down and plants his hands on the floor, then almost seemingly effortlessly lifts his legs up, one then the other until he's standing on his hands, arms fully extended. That loose t-shirt he was wearing drops up over his shoulders and partially obscures his head though she'll see the sharply defined lines of his muscular back as he tenses...
And then pushes up onto his fingertips. Holding himself there, then up on two fingertips as he straiiiightens his arms...
Then just one fingertip as he spreads his legs and arms out a bit more, lithe lines of his athletic form held taut as his body strains. Then smooothly he flips back to his feet, t-shirt dropping back down into place.
    "How's that?"

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Yes, I was there a small while back." Clarice explains, making her way back from the kitchen and gesturing with her hands. At the mention of Paris and the other destinations she quirks her brows. "I am not exactly a taxi service..., but we could had, sure." a small laugh escaping her lips. "But this is not something I go around showing off."

Arms fold over her front when Alexander starts doing his number on the floor, pressing himself up on his hands and arms. "Unlike some people that seem to enjoy showing off all the time uh?" a teasing tone to her voice, shaking her head slowly.

Alexander Aaron has posed:
"Aww c'mon, I..." Alexander crinkles his nose at her, looking back and over his shoulder, then back to her. "I have..." He starts to say, blinking a few times. "An ancient sword that I can..." Alexander crinkles his nose, "Well here."
And as he says that he extends a hand with fingers slightly open and apart, then there's a sudden flicker of crimson energy that seems to slither through the air in a way that isn't entirely different from her own ability. Just a quick rush and outline of red power that creates first the shape of a long blade in the youth's hand...
Then manifests into the silhouette of a subtly curved katana with a dark red blade. He holds it in his hand and seems to wince slightly, then reverses the grip on the sword to hold it in one hand with the blade along his outer arm.
"There's a... long story connected to it. But yeah. So. See what I mean?" For some reason he seems very much to want her to believe him.
"I mean, sure it's not quite as practically useful as being able to go visit Hawaii whenever you want. But hey."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
Ooo, a sword. That actually brings an immediate tension to Clarice's shoulders when the blade comes out. She watches it carefully, a small glowing ..., 'dart' having appeared in her hand almost by instinct. What? Don't just make a sword appear out of the air like that!!!

But she quickly makes the dart disappear after a moment goes by. "That's an easier way to prove you aren't actually full of shit, you know?" she says. Easy proof! Manifest a blade out of thin air!

"Yes, I believe you." She then says with a bit of a smile growing on her expression. "Well, do -you- want to go to Hawaii?" the offer seems to be there, hand resting on her hip and she winking at the young man.
