Location: Sundollar Coffee - Avenue of Tomorrow
Synopsis: Circumstances bring Starfire and Siobhan together at a coffee shop and they get to meet.
Cast of Characters: Siobhan Smythe, Koriand'r

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
Just because she was working on things with the Titans and looking at potentially joining or at least getting help from them doesn't change the fact that she had agreed to do various gigs around New York City and Metropolis. One such gig put her on a stool in the corner of the Sundollar Coffee on the Avenue of Tomorrow. She has her guitar set up and casually is playing along, her Irish voice giving words their unique cadence even in song as people casually sip their coffee and enjoy the music along with their food and drink while the singer, Siobhan, hits the chorus of her own song.

"And dat's why I scream
Dat's why I scream inside
It's just in my soul
It's just my pain
It's just da toll
Da pain I feel and can't let go..."

And then she strums on into a small guitar solo, watching her own fingers move dutifully along the strings, only occasionally glancing up at people coming and going.

Koriand'r has posed:
Starfire hasn't met Siobhan and has no idea the singer is looking for a place in the Titans. She just wants some water that doesn't taste like Metropolis's lead pipes, so she stops in and stands in line, politely ignoring all the people impolitely staring at her, to order a rectangular bottle of something Hawaiian. While she waits her turn, she watches the chanteuse at work. Her skin and hair dim as she listens, and her face is stricken. When the song is over, she drifts over to the singer and commiserates, "I'm sorry you're in such pain."

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
The song only goes on a short while longer and she blinks a few times as she notices the tall red haired woman come in. She's often the tallest woman in the room, often the tallest person in the room so she is still not entirely used to seeing someone bigger than her. All the same, she idly puts her guitar aside and offers a smile to Kori, "It's fine. Lots of people have pain. I just get mine out trhough singin'." She nods her head and then she tilts her head, "You don't happen to be Starfire, are ye?" She asks and idly reaches over with her other hand to collect a nearby cup of tea she had poured earlier, taking a sip of it, "Not to be assumin' tings but I somehow doubt dere's anotter tall, orange skinned woman floatin' about."

Koriand'r has posed:
Starfire blinks at the accent, but considers the context for a moment and starts to get what Siobhan is saying. "I am Starfire," she agrees, letting the purple latex outfit speak for itself. She sips her water to cover her confusion, then asks politely, "And you are?"

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A smile and she nods to her, "Well, good to meet ya den." She chuckles, "I'm Siobhan. Siobhan Smythe." Though she pronounces it 'Shi-Vhon Smyte.' She nods her head to the woman before she sips another sip of her drink, "You were on da list of people I wished to meet dough I'm not keepin' it wholly public yet dat I'm doin' anyting like dat." She tilts her head, "So, what brings ya out dis way?"

Koriand'r has posed:
Starfire's eyelashes applaud with her rapid blinking as she tries to sort out that penultimate sentence. "You wish to meet me but not for others to see you meet me?" she hazards. "Should I leave?"

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
A laugh and then she shakes her head, "No no." She states and stands up before adding, "What I mean to say is I am currently hangin' out wit' mutual friends." She leans in and it is an odd thing. It's like the words are spoken directly into Starfire's ear as Siobhan's lips move. It sounds kinda like the sound that might come from a pair of earbuds, "I'm stayin' at de tower right now." She nods her head as she grins.

Koriand'r has posed:
Starfire blinks some more. She's getting good at it with all this practice, really getting the technique down. "I see," she lies. "I hope it is being a pleasant stay for you to enjoy?" She looks curiously at Siobhan when the human woman draws back, lips pursed.

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
"So far, dough everyone seems really eager to..." She looks ot the side, "See what dey shouldn't." She then looks over at Starfire and nods to her, "Still, what are ye doin' out here. Do you often come to dis particular coffee place?" She asks and tilts her head as she smiles and nods her haed, "I really hadn't expected to see anoyone like ya out here today." She grins and shifts in her spot, "Was just out doing my usual work."

Koriand'r has posed:
Starfire holds up her water bottle. "This is my purpose in this location," she explains, eyeing Siobhan and her shift curiously. Starfire herself doesn't squirm much, a benefit of not touching the ground. "Anyone like me? Whom did you expect to glimpse?"

Siobhan Smythe has posed:
"No one in particular." She smiles and she turns to start putting her guitar away, "I was just finishin' up here." She nods her head and looks over at Starfire with a smile, "I'm done here if you are." She nods her haed, "I was just doin' one last song and den I was gonna go out for a walk or somethin'. However, now I have an opportunity to get to know you instead." She grins, "I might even play ya some music once we are away if you'd like."
