Cast of Characters: Warren Worthington, Alison Blaire

Warren Worthington has posed:
It was a lazy mid-Sunday afternoon when Warren had a car bring himself and Alison over to the center of fashion in New York. Grinning as the car comes to a halt, he slips out and holds the door open as he gestures. "Want to do some shopping? There's still plenty of closet space to be filled up." He presses his lips against her cheek in a soft kiss once she's out of the car. "Either way, it can't help to take a look around and see what's new." He takes a look one way and then the other and nods, "Where to start, where to start... oh! Want to check out Janet van Dyne's place and see what JVD has going on?"

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Do we really need to buy more things for the closet?" Of course they do! But Alison is still somewhat hesitant about going out of her way to just fling money at things. "I wouldn't mind..." She then stops, tucking her arm around his arm, thinking, "Yes. Let's go see what is available at Van Dyne's."

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Well, no, we probably don't, but really I just wanted to spend a a day out on the town with you and, maybe I shouldn't admit this, I -do- like to window shop." The stunning admission is made with a smile and a sparkle in his eye. "I know, I know, it's shocking." He begins to lead her towards JVDs arm-in-arm as he continues. "Cars seem like a waste and I don't much care for a lot of electronic toys or anything. I like clothes, women, jewelry, fine alcohol, women, and nice shoes. Oh, and spending time with you. Mm, I should put furniture on there too. Those antique shows are kind of cool."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"And women often like clothes and jewelry, some even fine alcohol and nice shoes." Alison replies with a laugh, leaning in to bump her shoulder against him at that, "Furniture from antique shows?" She glances over at him, giving him an amused look, one that edges towards surprise, "I'd never have guessed you liked antique furniture, you know. I'd have guessed you were into things like...sleek, ultra modern things."

Warren Worthington has posed:
"I do like the modern, sleek things! I try to keep the penthouse all modern and sleek because, I don't know, it kind of fits the mood of the place, you know? If i got nice mansion somewhere, I'd totally go all out making it a throwback to some turn-of-the-20th century mogul's pad and throw fancy parties with absinthe and stuff." Warren glances over at her and flashes a quick grin, "Besides, the sleek modern stuff is about making history with something new. The old stuff is about living around some history a nd experiencing it first hand. Different vibes, but both cool."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"I like the art deco...art nuevo look from the 20s myself. Or the modern stuff, which I guess it //was// of that time." Alison observes thoughtfully, shaking her head at something, "The sort of turn of the century, lots of wood and lots of antique...stuff from when they wore the puffy white hair? I don't get that stuff. It's all uncomfortable straight backs and hard seats."

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Oh yeah? Hrm." Warren stares ahead for a moment, his head tilted slightly. "Damn, you know what I'm thinking about right now? A 20s themed party, maybe go all out, Gatsby-esque party. Rent out a big house somewhere and just let all our friends from Xavier's have a week of not-giving-a-shit about the rest of the world." He glances over at her. "What do you think, Ali?"

Alison Blaire has posed:
"That could be fun. A week long party?" Alison wonders, stopping outside the clothing store, turning so that she can face him, "Are we sure that we could sustain a week long Gatsby-esque party?" She's not doubting, not him, but maybe herself or others for being able to stay the whole week "in character" as it were.

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Okay, maaybe the week is too long. A long weekend then? Everyone arrives on a Thursday night, then Friday and Saturday are for revelrie, then a nice Sunday brunch before everyone heads back?" He stops along with her and turns, reaching up to brush a few strands of her hair back and smiles. "Not going to lie, seeing you in one of those 20s dresses would be pretty hot, and some swing dancing could be a lot of fun." He turns again and takes hold of the handle and pulls the door open and gestures for her to go in before him.

Alison Blaire has posed:
"A weekend sounds like a more reasonable time." Alison replies with a smile, leaning into the hand on her hair, then she starts to go through the door when he holds it open, "So a long weekend...Thursday night, arrival, then Friday and Saturday parties. In needs a pool, and multiple floors so we have room to put everyone."

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren nods, "That sounds good to me, and yeah a pool is definitely a requirement. As for rooms, hrm. I think we have to factor in some people will be shacking up as couples. Probably more than 'some' if we're being honest." He slips into the store behind her and glances around the place. "Wow, Van Dyne really outdoes herself each time I come in here. Did I ever tell you that I got her to design me a new suit for when I'm flying around with the uh, well, you know. Not that I plan on doing a lot more of that since I'm trying to focus more on the mutants rights issues these days." He lets his gaze move up and down her form. "I -do- wonder what she might be able to do for a skin-tight body suit for you though."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Skin tone?" Alison glances at him at that, laughing, "No...then I'd look naked." Which, honestly, clearly the point. She moves towards one of the racks, reaching for a bright pink dress, holding it up to herself. "What about this? And obviously, people are going to be shacking up...but we give everyone their own room, let them sneak around. It'll be part of the fun."

Warren Worthington has posed:
"I mean... that wouldn't be sooooo bad, would it?" Warren asks, his voice trying to portray innocence and failing quite badly at it. Looking at the pink dress he nods and smiles, "I think it would look very ravishing on you, can probably go well with some of your dazzling colors too, kind of brighten things up a lot." He eyes some of the other dresses on displays while responding, "You're right, people can act like they are sneaking around for their midnight trysts. The mystery, the romance, and seeing you in one of those dresses. Gives me shivers down my spine just thinking about it."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"A skin tone suit? I mean, it might be bad." Alison points out with a laugh, turning to hang the dress back up on the rack before she moves on to looking at the other ones. "The flapper dresses? I wonder if she could make one of those...finding a really classy one probably would cost a fortune."

Warren Worthington has posed:
"You know..." Warren's gaze flicks over to Alison for a moment, then back to the dresses in front of them. "We can always ask and see what a custom flapper dress for you might cost and then I will -gladly- get it for you, because, um, it's going to do a lot for me and like, it would be -totally- worth it." He lets out a little cough. "It's actually making me have untoward thoughts at this very moment, how terrible of me."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"How terrible." Alison agrees with a nod, schooling her features into a very serious look, like she might just get onto him for having those kinds of thoughts. But then she laughs, stepping back towards him, leaning in to give him a kiss, "Fine. Since she made you a very special suit, and you seem to know her, maybe you can arrange for her to come talk to us about this?"

Warren Worthington has posed:
"I am. The worst." Warren says, nodding his agreement. His expression brightens as she steps towards him and gives him a kiss though. Leaning into it, he presses his forehead lightly against hers and lets the parting of their lips be a slow and gentle thing as he sighs. "I will reach out to her and see what can be done, Ali." His eyes sparkle and he grins. "I really can't wait to get started on this little party project. It's going to be a lot of fun." He leans in and kisses her forehead. "You do give me the best ideas."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"It'll be fun." Alison agrees with a nod, moving to curl her arms around his waist, smiling upwards at him, "I think I know of this place, up state, dad had a friend's daughter that got married there one year. They rent it out for things like that, I bet that we could convince them to give it to us for a whole three days."

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Really? Cool, get me their number and I'll give them a call." Warren grins. "Hell, I'll rent it out for a week just to use it for three or four days if need be. As a mutant rights activist, it is my sworn duty to ensure that mutants engage their right to party."

Alison Blaire has posed:
Alison Blaire laughs, "Really? That seems like a little over kill, doesn't it?" She gives him a squeeze before she releasts him, stepping back, "What're you going to use the house for for the rest of that week?"

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Hey, only if they require a reservation of longer than a few days!" Warren laughs. "You never know what some places require and all that. Even so, -if- a week-long reservation is required, well, you and I could always spend some time swimming in the pool and uh... other activities, and stuff."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Oh, other activities?" Ali replies with an amused roll of her eyes, the smile definately giving it all away. Then she turns to find a few of the dresses in her size, picking them up from the rack before holding them out towards him, "Tell me about your mutant activist activities, and try not to think about me modeling these gorgeous dresses you're buying for me when we get home."

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Mmhmm. I believe they fall in the realm of cardiovascular activities." Warren reaches out and gives her a faint little poke in her side in response to the eye-rolling and then glances back at the dresses. "Well, I started up a new media company to try to push back against a lot of anti-mutant bias that you find out there. A few folks have let me know they wanted to do some blogging, which is awesome. I hope that showing people that the lives of mutants aren't so different from the lives of anyone else, that it will make things easier for a lot of the younger mutants."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Mm." Alison replies, continuing to move through the racks, adding to the growing collection of clothes she's handing off to him. He keeps waving money around, now he's going to have to put his money where his mouth is.

Or other metaphors. "I mean, yeah, we're like everyone else is. But again, we're also not. You've just got to be careful not to hide the harder truths, too."

Warren Worthington has posed:
"I guess, but I just mean that we laugh, we love, we cry. Yeah, some of us can do some really cool things, but uh... look at all the people flying around this world with crazy technology or aliens who can throw a building. People don't give them shit, just us, just mutants. And we're citizens of earth, this is our home." Warren shrugs and lets out a long sigh. "Maybe a lot of it is jealousy."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Jealousy?" She wonders, glancing at him with a curious look, "As in they are jealous that we can do these things without the reliance of technology? Earth or otherwise." She crosses her arms, moving to stand in front of him with a thoughtful look, "Maybe it is because of that."

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren nods, "Yeah, I mean... what else really makes sense? Think about it. If you're a regular person and your child ends up having wild powers that are beyond anything you can think of... it's going to cause some jealousy and resentment right? 'I'm their father, why does my son get this and I don't'." Totally not thinking about his own childhood right now, nope, not at all! "I don't know, it's hard for me to just chalk it all up to hate. Hate has to have a reason, right?"

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Hate has reasons." Alison replies carefully, reaching for his hand so that she can slide her fingers through his, giving him a hard squeeze, "But I wouldn't say that it is always going to be jealousy. Sometimes it is just fear that brings people around to hating what they don't have, and that they don't understand."

Warren Worthington has posed:
Accepting her hand, Warren gives it a gentle squeeze in return and glances over at her and smiling. "Yeah, I guess you're right, Alison." He leans over and lightly kisses her on the cheek. "Well, I -do- hope that seeing certain stories about the lives of mutants will help put the fear away, that there isn't anything to be gained by fearing us when the vast majority just want to live good lives."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"I think that reminding them that we're just like them, and we put our pants on one leg at a time the same as they do...that'll go a long way towards helping with everything." Alison moves towards the register, pulling him along with her so that he can pay for all the clothes that she grabbed.

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Or that there are times where we don't like wearing pants at all." Warren adds quickly, letting himself get pulled along to the register willingly. Once they arrive, he lets the store clerk start ringing up Alison's purchases as he slips a wallet out of a pocket and hands over an Amex black card. "I'm really glad we went out today Ali, I really love spending time with you."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"I love spending time with you, too." Ali replies, offering the girl behind the register a smile, then she turns her attention back to him while he pulls out the card to pay. "Would you like to get dinner on the way back maybe?"
