2923/Grandpa Barry

Grandpa Barry

Synopsis:	Barry goes to find the mysterious person on Twitter who was calling him out, only to find out that he has a future grandson running around the streets of Gotham. Wild!

Barry Allen has posed:
Curious to know more about the person who kept hounding him on Twitter, Barry decided to set up a meet in one of the many abandoned alleys (okay, mostly abandoned) that are scattered all over Gotham. The trip from Metropolis to Gotham isn't very long for a speedster. In uniform in the event that it may be one of his many enemies he made while fighting crime in Central City.

While he waits, Barry pulls out his very outdated iphone and starts to text Iris with promises to take her out to a nice dinner. There was so much for him to make up for.

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen comes to the alleyway via rooftops, according to his friends it is the only way to see Gotham. As he sees the man in the Flash costume, he blurs down the wall at super speed and gets within six foot other and comes to a stop. Bart is wearing a costume that looks much like the Flash/Kid Flash costume, but in Red and white (see my wiki), "Ok, who are you and who said you could wear that?" He will come in hot. In his mind only Barry and Wally are supposed to be wearing the costume.

Barry Allen has posed:
The Flash takes one look at the speedster who's wearing a red and white uniform and he blinks. "Red and white huh? Interesting." He ignores his phone for a moment and turns to fully face the kid. "As for who I am? I'm the Flash. Which I can see might be confusing given that there's currently another Flash out there. Um, I'm the original Flash, if that makes any sense. I spent a number of years over in Central City but am now basing myself out of Metropolis and the East Coast."

He shakes his head. "I've been... away for a while, but I'm back now and I'm looking forward to getting back into the groove." He darts out of the alley and back to his position at superspeed. "Does that help prove that I'm telling the truth?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen crosses his arms and frowns a bit more. He watches the other and says "Not really, as I just met another speedster who asked me to train him earlier. Also your not the first Flash, I know the first Flash and he wears a helmet, and his wife makes kick ass white chocolate macadamian nut cookies." He starts to walk around the man and says "So, want to try again? I know the current Flash as well, he and I are like that." He crosses his fingers.

Barry Allen has posed:
Blinking, Barry says, "Really? Ah, not everyone remembers him. What I meant is more that I was one of the founding members of the Justice League. Which reminds me that I should probably reach out to Bats and Supes soon, but..." He trails off as his phone starts ringing. "Sorry, one sec." He answers. "Hey, yeah I'm talking with someone can I call you back? What? Yeah I can pick up milk on the way home. Eggs too? Okay. Okay. Why don't you text me a list? Love you." He hangs up and shrugs. "Sorry. A lot to make up for there." He smiles and shrugs.

"Where were we? Ah yeah, the current Flash. Great guy, I helped train him. I've been reading up on what he's been doing and I'm really proud of him coming into his own and taking up the mantle while I was away. I hope we can both be Flashes together and help give everyone hope for a better world."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen looks over and as his mouth runs faster that his brain sometime. "Next thing your gonna try telling me that was Grandma Iris." He walks back and forth and says "I know of that Flash as well, and he did train the current one I will give you that" Yea he even missed he gave something away.

Barry Allen has posed:
"Grandma who-what now? Wait, no, I was not talking to my grandmother, I don't have..." Barry shakes his head and squints his eyes at the younger man again. "Wait, who did you say you were again? Do I know you? Like I said earlier, I was gone for a bit and it's possible I forgot who you were. If so, I'm really sorry." A pause. "Wait, who's grandma do you think I would be talking to? Oh, and about the current Flash, yeah, we worked together for a few years before..." He waves a hand. "Anyway, he was in the Titans and is now in the Justice League. How about you, are you in either of those groups?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen shakes his head a bit and says "I am in a group called the Outsiders." He will look at the man and says "Not your grandmother, my grandmother." He studies the man and says "Ok, lets start from the begining here. "I will give you the original Justice League Flash has been gone for some time. Bart will study him a bit more, and he will sprout off a few numbers watching Barry's reaction. It is the first half of Barry's badge number.

Barry Allen has posed:
Barry shakes his head. "I'm not familiar with any group by that name. They must be new." He squints again at the other speedster about grandmas but without a frame of reference for the comment, he decides to just let it pass. "Okay, lets. Yes, I was gone starting in 2017 until very recently." It takes him a moment but when he starts reading off the numbers, Barry blinks and repeats the rest of the numbers. "How did you -know- that? Just who -are- you? Have we met before? In Central City, I mean."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen looks to the man and says "No, we have not met, I had hoped to meet you, if your who you claim to be." There is a bit of hope showing in the young man's eyes, I only got to see him in the museum." He looks to the other man and says "My name is Bart, and I am from the future. My grandfather was the man that number belonged to." He says to him.

Barry Allen has posed:
"Museum?" Barry looks at Bart and tilts his head. "You said you're from the future? Oh boy. If you weren't another speedster I might doubt you, but I'm well aware of what the Speed Force is capable of. You said the person who that number belonged to is your grandfather?" He shakes his head, his mind processing the information quickly by tapping into the speed force. "So you're telling me that Grandma Iris? Have you actually met her and spoken to her about this before? She never mentioned anything? Good heavens. This has so many ramifications for..." Another shake of his head.

Taking in a breath he asks, "Bart. That's short for Bartholomew isn't it?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen nods his head a bit and says "Well, yea and no, Grandma Iris knows about it, but she does not know about it as well." He looks to the other and says "Ok, I have told you a bit that backs up what I am saying, what can you tell me that proves your my Grandpa B?" He asks the other man

Barry Allen has posed:
Reaching up, Barry slips off his mask. "I can't believe that I come back to Earth after three years and one of the very first things I get exposed to is the fact that I have a grandson from the future. Anyway, my name is Bartholomew Henry Allen, though I go by Barry. In 2011, I became the Flash, and in 2012 I helped found the Justice League. How's that?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen will pull his mask off now as well, and says "And I am Bartholomew Henry Allen II" He tells the other man "Your son is my father, and your daughter is my aunt." He will look at the man and says "I never thought I would get to meet you...I was sent back to have Wally help me cause I was aging at super speed."

Barry Allen has posed:
"Well, I uh, I don't have a son or daughter yet, but I guess those may come in due time." Barry laughs a little at that, shaking his head. "Yeah, well, I'm glad I was finally able to get out of being trapped in the Speed Force. My own punishment for trying to be too arrogant, I guess." He shrugs but takes a step towards Bart. "So Wally was able to fix your problem? Good for him, I'm glad to hear that. Wally really stepped up in some big ways. A few years ago I might have wondered if he was ready, but now I think I was foolish for giving my nephew even a hint of doubt."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen nods his head, and says "You both were, are great Flashes." He looks to the man and as he seems to believe him and steps forward to hug the other man. And hugs him tight. "I never thought I would actually get to see you."

Barry Allen has posed:
Barry blinks at the hug but awkwardly puts an arm around the young man. "Uh, well, thank you. I'm going to have to really take it all in that I have a future grandson speeding around the world, but the fact that you're a speedster also gives me a lot of hope. It means that somehow there will constantly be conduits for the Speed Force out there, to let it expend some of its built up energy." He laughs, "Oh listen to me try and science things out. So tell me about yourself Bart. Are you going to school or what?"

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen looks to the other man and says "I am starting college this fall. I had been living with Jay and Joan while I was in high school, but I am living at the Outsider base now and working nights at the Gotham Zoo helping keep up after the animals," He will tell the other man. "I like science but I am thinking more maybe being a Vet, I am still not sure., and yea there are other speedsters in the future, my cousin is still there, if she makes it back again, she will want to meet you."

Barry Allen has posed:
"Good for you, and if you want to be a veterinarian, be one. Helping animals is an honorable profession, and I think you'll get a lot of self-fulfillment out of it." Barry says, nodding. "As for Iris and I, we've moved to Metropolis recently, so we'll be pretty close. I'm working with the Metropolis PD. We both figured that having been gone for three years, things might be a little easier if we had a fresh start." He shrugs. "I like Metropolis well enough, but I do love Central City. It'll always be home."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen nods his head a bit to this and says "So, she knows your the Flash now? If so I would like to meet her. The version I know was from my time. " He admits, not telling she is here somewhere too. "I went by the name Kid Flash for a while, but I am going back as Impulse for now, I figured it is more fitting. Oh there is another speedster no kin to us, but has asked me to train him, maybe you can help him and me some."

Barry Allen has posed:
"Kid, if you're going to marry someone, you better be open and honest with them." Barry laughs, a long, hearty laugh. "Sure, she was a bit worried about everything at first, but she came to accept it and we work together to go through life's problems. I wouldn't advise telling every girlfriend you have about who you are, no, but when you find the one? Don't keep secrets." He smiles and nods. "Sure, I can meet with this other speedster sometime. It's good to make sure that anyone who is tapping into the Speed Force knows some of what they're doing. To get a sense of control over the abilities that one can tap into."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen nods and says "He did not know about the speed force, I told him a bit earlier, to make sure he did not go into it on accident. He has only had his powers for two years."

Barry Allen has posed:
Barry runs a hand through his hair and nods, "Mm, good advice. I'll try to get with them and have a chat, maybe through a few training sessions they can get a better hold on their powers." He looks down at his phone. "I should probably go pick up groceries for Iris though. If you want to talk more, feel free to give me a call, or just DM me on Twitter. Or whatever. It was good meeting you, Bart."

Bart Allen has posed:
Bart Allen nods, and says "And you too, I hope we can get together and get to know one another better." He runs his hand through his hair in a manor much like Barry's and will wave when BArry heads
