Ted Kord has posed:
The Beginning.

Ted Kord gets a gift from the Lego Corporation! Over one hundred pounds of new bricks! The problem is he built his Bug and while he was completely obsessed with modeling his masterwork, he completed the master work. He has several business woes at the moment and isn't sure where to dum... er stash it. So early morning found him flying out on Long Island to Joan Wright's humble abode. Actually a very nice house. The commute was easy enough because... flying. Like a ninja Kord descends with the various parcels, leaving them in a neat pile at Joan's front door. Then unlike a ninja he leaves her a lovely card thanking her for her prompt service. He ponders inviting her out for coffee then decides not to. Unprofessional, she'd probably say. then it would be weird and he likes working with Joan. Having left the boxes he ascends to the Bug again and in a moment is gone in the early morning sky.

Joan Wright has posed:
It has been a pretty long few days. With the going ons happening in the other part of Long Island leading to her basically being stuck at home. Joan's been staying at home. Curtains drawn and, of all things, practicing her powers with LEGOs. She had several lego buildings already created, she smashed them all over the house, and one by one, she'd put them back together, but trying to adjust for speed.

So involved was she in this process that Ted's ninja ways are not fully appreciated. For as quietly as the LEGOS came to her front door. They just as quietly walked off. Darn porch pirates. By the time Joan set foot outside of the Tudor home to the green lawn, all that was left was the note. Curious, she picks it up and goes inside with it.

Eventually the phone associated with the number Joan was given rings.

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord is winging his way back home... well flying anyway. The Bug uses antigravity and directed thrusters, not wings. His phone rings and is about to put it on speaker phone when something clunks and thumps behind him. He looks over his shoulder and sees an errant box he'd overlooked. Ted stabs the speaker button and gets up to grab the box, surprised oce again at how much these damned things weigh. "Yell-oooo, this is the Beetle: damsels de-stressed, plots foiled, rescues performed." He sees the number now and grins. The box is placed on his lap and he's about to turn the Bug around. Knowing Joan, she probably saw the box missing on the bill of lading.

Joan Wright has posed:
There is a pause as Joan looks to her phone at the greeting. "Mr-" She pauses, "Ted, I just got your card and am a little confused on the comment about a 'deluge of bricks'?" She glances to the scribble on the note, brow raising.

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord smiles and says, "Yes, the Lego corporation sent them to me and I thought you'd like them much better than I would... I'm sorry, if I blocked your door with those boxes oh and I found a box I left behind in the Bug. May I bring it back to you now? I'm only a few minutes away."

Joan Wright has posed:
"Uh, sure." Joan replies back, voice betraying a bit of confusion as she turns her head looking back towards the entrance, "These boxes were at the front door?"

She strolls over to the door, opening it up again to look to the side. "How long ago was this?"

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord frowns now. "About ten, fifteen minutes... listen, I'm coming back now, I had another box I overlooked to give you. Man... if this is porch pirates, they're going to pay!" He toys with the box a little and an edge bursts. Then another edge pops, the bricks inside all jumbling and tossing as they assemble into a somewhat rectilinear crab like creature. It lunges for his throat even as it is assembling. "Joan stay insi... ack! Inside! ****! Get the **** off me! ****! Ow!" He hits a foot pedal sliding his control seat back and opening the hatch before him. A claw lashes out and hits the throttle and the Bug starts to fall. "I. Can. See. Your. House!"

Joan Wright has posed:
"Oh. Ted." Joan replies with an amused sigh, shaking her head, "You just don't leave packages in plain view of the str-" She pauses as she hears Ted seemingly fighting with something and telling her to stay inside, along with the cursing. She steps back inside, closing the door, "Ted, are you okay?"

If it wasn't for the situation Ted was currently dealing with, the home would be a pleasant site with the well maintained greenspace and the fairy tale whimsy of the medieval brick and wood styled Tudor. But Ted's dealing with bricks to the face so he's probably not admiring that at the moment.

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord finally pulls the animate off him as the Bug starts to go nose down. He throws it into the open hatch but it spreads its limbs. Ted grabs the throttle, leveling the Bug and aiming a kick at the creation knocking it pt and onto a parking lot below. The creature shatters into individual bricks, which beginning shuffling back together in a creepy way reminiscent of Joan's power.

The Bug's right front foot smashes down on it. Ted jumps out the hatch, grabbing and bagging a few bricks that survived. He looks at the twitchy things, spotting the tiny cilia and sensors on it, marking it as a microbot.

"Eviiiil Legos." the Blue Beetle pronounces. "And those movies were so cute."

Meanwhile...

You really couldn't help but notice a panel truck across the street from Casa de Joan begins to rock. A man lunges from the driver's seat and is crabbed by a pincer and pulled back in to scream. The scream is cut off. A moment later the back door shudders under blows and comes ajar.

Joan Wright has posed:
Hearing the scream, Joan's eyes widen as she moves over to a window, peeking out the curtain. Phone still to her ear as she looks outside in time to see the panel truck a rocking.

Well, being she's still inside her house, she's not going to be the one who comes a knockin' . "I THINK the guy in the truck across from my house is in trouble." She says to Ted, "You might want to check on him first."

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord jumps over a couple fences to get to the panel truck just as the door is kicked out and a humanoid brick 'bot with nasty pincer claws exits the truck, porch pirate in hand. Claw. It throws the crook at the Beetle who ducks, letting the man hit a fence and fall. "Hey! You nearly hit me!" The brick bot glowers at the vigilante.

"You re-gifted me? I wanted to rob your secrets and devices but you regifted me? You cheap ****!"

Beetle sneers, "What are you going to do about it... brick head?"

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan watches the scene from the safety of her house, hand holding back the curtain slightly to give her a better view. "Oh **-" Letting go of the curtain, she skedaddles back in time for the crash of glass and curtain wrapped Beetle to land on a table. "My window!"

The phone drops as she goes back into a stance, a held up hand, forming a finger gun. But she doesn't move the hand yet. "T-" Oh he's in costume? "You! Roll towards me!"

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord rolls to his feet and pulls a small sphere from his belt and looks over his shoulder at Joan, "This EMP grenade will settle his hash..."

A huge claw reaches through the shattered window grabbing the Blue Beetle and yeeting him back outside. The grenade falls, bounces and rolls off. The sounds of the scuffle continue from there. "Oh yeah, thake that, and that! Ow! Ow! Oh yeah?! A chunk of the... of Brickhead flies in through the smashed window. It too bounces about on the floor. "Joan, can you do (awk) that thing (aha!) in reverse?!"

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan drops her hand, moving towards the open window area, looking out to Ted and curtain before running back to avoid the brick head flying towards her. "AYEEee-"

The shouted question gets her attention as she scrambles over to the window again. "Only on stuff I put back together before." She shouts back apologetically, giving a shake of the head as she glances down, looking to the sphere on the ground. "How do I use that?!"

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord does a series of backflips, three to be precise. Nightwing could do a quadruple flip but you work with what you have. The headless brick 'bot swings wildly coming closer with each swipe. Battle launches a series of kicks to buy him some time. "Push the button on it, count to three and throw it!!" He does a leg sweep bringing the bot to one knee. "Hurry!"

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan grumbles, reaching down to grab ahold of it. Standing up, she glances to the scene, not quite pressing the button yet as she considers matters. Looking a bit concerned before a relieved look falls upon her face. "...yeah, this should be covered."

Pressing the button, she counts to three before chucking it towards to combatant headless LEGO man and Blue Beetle. After the past few days and JUST getting their power back one thing is clear. Her neighbors are going to be SO pissed.

Ted Kord has posed:
The toss is good and with a little help from Ted goes in the hole in the neck where the head sat. There is a muffled <Znrrrrrrrrrk> and flash of light and the bricks fall apart deluging Ted. He manages to get his head out of the pile and spits out a couple of blocks like a Lego fountain. "This really hurts a lot more than you would think." He starts crawling free of the heap.

Joan Wright has posed:
"Well, Legos are painful to step on." Joan offers up in agreement, her hair now a bit frizzy from the grenade. Stepping back away from the destruction before looking to the busted glass and then back behind her. She blinks. "Uh T-" Right. Costume. "-Blue Beetle?"

She moves over towards the door, opening it, to look to the buried Lego man. "Right." A finger gun lifts, swaying before pointing to the section that Ted is buried under. "As you were." A small section of the bricks lift, only producting small portions of the figure that was fought earlier. But the key thing is Ted is no longer buried.

"So, that head that flew into my house- I can't see it anywhere."

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord gets up and takes a quick look around. "Dang. I hate 'recurrings' well I'll get a shovel and get this into a container on the bug to research. Maybe I can figure out how to scan for the little monster and track him down. Yeah, you have a shovel and a trash can I can borrow? I'll do that and get out of your way." He rubs the back of his neck a little awkwardly. "I'm sorry your regift attacked us."

Joan Wright has posed:
By the time Ted gets back to the main room, the glass is back in place in the window. The spidery effect showing the points of breakage from before. As for the table, it is still busted up.

She looks to the pile of brick and sighs, giving a nod. "I agree," She says, heading through the kitchen to go out the back door to the back yard. "Those definitely belong with you."

After a few moments, she wheels over a trash bin, freshly lined, and a shovel. "I will say, it has been an interesting few days. And I hope my phone just didn't get fried."

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord says, "If it's a Kord Co phone... I am a licensed repair man."

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan glances back towards her home and frowns. Apparently it isn't. "Damn it."
