Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Eddie Brock, Andi Benton

Eddie Brock has posed:
Eddie Brock had received a message from Andi - Manic - whatever. She wanted to talk to him about something. Venom hadn't heard from his fellow symbiote-American in a few weeks. Which made sense, they were apex predators, crossing paths wouldn't necessarily be ideal if it happened too often. Although Andi hadn't seemed to fully embrace her predatory aspects yet.

But he waits in the form of Eddie, wearing jeans, boots and a New York Islanders sleeveless t-shirt, his strong arms crossed over his chest as he waits against a pillar. This level of the parking garage was largely abandoned this time of night, close to the airport mostly for dropoffs.

Andi Benton has posed:
A thing or two had reached a better state with Andi/Mania, particularly as of just a few days ago. Better didn't mean perfect, but everything has to start somewhere.

Given the interaction between Eddie and Andi, Venom and Mania, they had agreed to exchange contact information just in case, though a part of Andi was hesitant about doing that with someone who was a stranger, someone who would know her name as part of this. She would just have to attempt a little trust, wouldn't she?

He beat her to the location, a parking garage in the city, though while he was there in civvies, she turned up via a webline, in full 'costume,' or biosuit. There was a difference this time: Mania had a large spider marking over her front, with the same in back.

Eddie Brock has posed:
Eddie Brock cocks his head, "That's new," he says, gesturing to the spider emblem across her chest. "We kind of like it. Creepy crawlies. We can identify," he says, his voice that mingling of symbiote and human that means they're well in-sync.
"You mentioned the Spider-Man last time we met. Is this related? Have you taken him as a mate?"

Andi Benton has posed:
Mania lands quietly enough, proof she's been working on her stealth and landings, given the chunky footwear this particular symbiote and host features. "We felt like it made sense, and.."

That dual voice pauses, the face blank save for the eyes, which widen then narrow. "Uh, what?" is all she manages to ask at first. It would seem that question was not at all something she expected to be asked about.

Eddie Brock has posed:
Eddie Brock shrugs, "Well, just that you mentioned him before and we know he's a superhero type. We didn't know he had a team affiliation or a gang tag or anything," Venom says. "And you're a young and vital young lady, maybe you're looking for a good mate," Venom says. There's obviously a hint of teasing in the voice.

"So does that make you a full time superhero now?"

Andi Benton has posed:
Mania crosses her arms, the eyes narrowing. "He has a..girlfriend already," she answers, the voice kept neutral as she shakes her head a few times. "He's helped us through some things. That doesn't mean /that's/ going on. Jeez." It leaves her a step off, yet. Just imagine a frown behind that hidden visage, and it wouldn't be far off. "We're not sure what that makes us yet. We're not exactly looking to go cause trouble. We do know he wants to meet you, though."

Eddie Brock has posed:
Eddie Brock does let Venom slip in more now, the streaks of darkness rising like spiderwebs across his features, starting to swallow him up in darkness as his mouth grows more monstrous, fangs beginning to sprout.

"Does he know? Interesting. We're glad he's helped you, if that's what he's done," Venom says, sounding skeptical. "He can't really understand you, though. Not the way we can. Still, if he would like to meet us, we're social animals."

Andi Benton has posed:
Mania retains that spiky way about her. What she lacks in size and stature, she makes up for in what appears to be a more nimble appearance, one that suggests speed, quickness, and, of course, those sharp points to her that are more than just teeth. Watching the way the tendrils crawl over him and blend together to create the Venom appearance itself, she studies this intently.

"What are you suggesting? We already told you we aren't going around eating people. We will have lots of chocolate to help," she explains, adding questioningly, "But what are we supposed to learn from you?"

Eddie Brock has posed:
Eddie Brock grows more Venomlike by the moment, his body size increasing, growing a bit more hunched as his face is totally swallowed until his transformation is complete, "No need to get tetchy," Venom says. "No need for hostility. We don't think you should do those things unless you -want- to do those things. We're simply saying you shouldn't hold yourself back for anyone else's account. Not even this Spider-Man."

Venom's serpentine tongue flicks out, coating the surface of his fangs with gloppy saliva, "We're sure we could think of a few things. You don't think you know everything do you?"

Andi Benton has posed:
"And how are we holding ourselves back?" Mania asks. The question is edged with something, a mixture of suspicion and uncertainty. Of course he has had the bond longer than she has, but she couldn't even begin to guess at what differences exist between their relationship and hers, the influence Venom has compared to Mania's.

"Mine..needed me. It was being tortured and experimented on, and it found me. Found..us. We found each other. But we are not bad." Shoulders move at the question of knowing everything or not, a shrug.

Eddie Brock has posed:
Eddie Brock snorts, "Good and bad are silly ideas. For children," they say. "You found each other when you were afraid. We found each other when we were...angry," Venom says with a smile. "We're both much happier now. As we imagine you are."

"You cannot be ruled by fair. It will only hold you both back," Venom says.

Andi Benton has posed:
Mania looks around the empty parking garage, filled with concrete and metal, and a couple abandoned cars. "But we want to help if we can. What do you want..if you were angry? Are you angry a lot?" The same could be asked of her. Is she afraid a lot? The answer is something that could cause some internal questioning.

"We are not ruled by anything right now," she claims, but can she even be certain of that? Is it just something that sounds good to say in light of what he tells her? Body language suggests further uncertainty.

Eddie Brock has posed:
Eddie Brock cocks their head, "Are we angry? Should we not be? There are so many, many things that get under our skin about this world, every day. The noise, more than anything else, the humans always make such constant, grinding noise in this city," the monster says.

"Yes, we are angry, but we are joyful, too, for we have each other and we are together. If your friend wants to be friends, that is fine. If he will sit in judgment, he will not enjoy making our acquaintance."

Andi Benton has posed:
"Are you saying you aren't human any more, or you're less than human?" Mania asks, the angle of her head meeting his. Of course, there's a third option to that, one she did not reach the point of asking. "Don't you still have to try to fit in? You can't be..this..all the time," she says, gesturing with her arms spread apart.

The newer pair bond's eyes take on a thoughtful angle, then she says, "We feel joy as well, and we..we are happy we have each other, too. The Spider? I think he just wants you to see what he's about."

Eddie Brock has posed:
Eddie Brock snorts, "We do. But we shouldn't have to," they say. "We don't like it as well. Eddie still has some of his...friends. And we still live mostly passing for human. But no, we are not human anymore. We do not know about more or less," they say. Well, they have their opinion, but they already suspect this other symbiote would not agree.

"Mmmmmmmmmmmm. We will see, if you want us to."

Andi Benton has posed:
Mania can't help but shrug again. "It..we don't think it matters. We think he wants to see what you're all about." But not even Mania can say for sure what that answer may be. There are things about being around another symbiote that leave hers a mix of off-balance but also curious, a combination of being drawn to it mixed with an effort to remain apart, independent.

"We guess we are not just human now, either." For just a moment, the voice shifts more toward just Andi, though the featureless visage remains the same as she reaches up to rub at one of those spiky bits of 'hair.' "I know there's something deeper to all this, but I have no idea how to find out, and I'm not even sure it can tell me."

Eddie Brock has posed:
Venom frowns just a bit. Venom doesn't remember much of its homeworld, much of what it had been, what it was here for. It had been through a bit of torment itself, after all. But it didn't like to seem ignorant.

"What are we all about? We're not sure we even know. But we'll meet him and see what comes of it. Who knows, maybe we can get a snazzy new decoration just like you?"

Andi Benton has posed:
Mania's head dips, indicating her looking down at herself. "We guess that is up to you. He helped us enough that we thought it was right to do," she explains, a clawed hand gesturing with palm up.

It's like there may be a block of some kind on having greater knowledge of the symbiote's origins. It might take something to unlock it later on. "Why were you angry when you..you know."

Eddie Brock has posed:
Eddie Brock nods, "We will make our own judgment. But knowing that he has been kind to you is...a point in his favor," they say.

"Our symbiote had been captured by scientists, seeking tou nlock its secrets. Eddie...had his own personal troubles. He had lost most everything, hanging on by a thread. He hated the world and it felt like it hated him back. Sometimes that's still true. But we can, at least, hate together."

Andi Benton has posed:
Mania makes a small show of fidgeting with her hands, rubbing the back of one with the other. "What kinds of things do you not hate?" There is something in the expression, in the eyes, that shows a sort of sympathy to the talk of capture and secrets. The Mania symbiote knows this all too well, and Andi through it. "We felt something similar..together. We just wanted to live."

Eddie Brock has posed:
Eddie Brock sinks down to sit, back against the pillar, squatting a bit as it considers, "We like food. And fighting. We like chasing things and making them afraid. We like sex. We like moonlight. We like hot showers after a long night's hunt. We like soap operas. Eddie used to like loud music, but not as much now," Venom says with a grumble.

Venom nods at the shared motivation, "Living in a cage is no kind of life for creatures such as us."

Andi Benton has posed:
"Food is worth liking," Mania deadpans, sounding odd when it's a blend of two different voices saying it together. "And we enjoy music..no, not too loud." Mention of moonlight leads to her glancing toward what they can see of the sky, as they are one level beneath the top of the structure. It prevents anyone happening to be flying overhead from spotting them, because people who can fly are a real thing and that could happen.

"Cages suck. We will never be caged again," the other pair bond states emphatically. There are certain things mentioned so far that Mania did not reply to, notably. She does say, "We like the goth and punk styles, when we are not like this. We also like to write and draw."

Eddie Brock has posed:
"Eddie writes. Not fiction, but about the world, in all its grime and grit and glitter. Sometimes he makes things up, but only to spice up the truth. And because he can only work at places that have no standards and so their standard is sometimes lies," Venom shrugs.

"We can tell. You have a punk symbiote," Venom laughs. "We are a little more...heavy metal."

Andi Benton has posed:
"We have worked at a music store," Mania shares. "We know about all sorts of music." Of course, that music must be played now at reasonable volumes. "We thought school was useless if we were not planning to go to college." Does Andi even /have/ to work, now? It comes down to the question of earning something, or taking it.

The feminine one of the two determines, "So you write for tabloids or something?" The mention of 'punk' does leave her standing a little more confidently.

Eddie Brock has posed:
Eddie Brock nods, "Eddie went to school. College was fun, but it did not make him better than others. He had to learn things the hard way," he says. "Tabloids, yes. Or blogs. Places that cover conspiracies and Bigfoots and things that go bump in the night. Ironically, they have an alien writing for them and don't even know it."

Andi Benton has posed:
Mania muses, "We guess that is true." The creature's body language holds a hint of defensiveness to it, a guarded nature since much of this other one is still a mystery, but there is a sort of built-in familiarity between symbiotes. It's not quite like knowing a long-lost friend or family member, but it might not be far off. "Do they know about symbiotes, or do you keep it a secret from them?"

Eddie Brock has posed:
Venom shakes his head, "We wouldn't dream of telling them about us. Too close to the bone. Plus, we already have a few government or secret corporate types interested in our species. No need to expand the roster," they say. "Sometimes making up wrong things is a large part of the fun."

Andi Benton has posed:
"To keep them from knowing more," Mania acknowledges, showing she gets it. That is called protecting the secret, right there. "We want to stay far away from those people. We do not think they have good things in mind for us," she says, rubbing one of her shoulders slowly. "No more cages. No more experiments. Ever."
