Kainashi has posed:
    Up on the rooftop canines pause, it was a relatively cool night for August in the city, hovering right around 81 degrees, with Kainashi periodically saying that it smelled like Rain was on the way.

    Kainashi was wearing a red T-shirt under a light black jacket and hood, promoting some weird movie from the 90's about a theme park with highly dangerous ancient animals, and her normal black pants as she paused on the side of a building, looking down. She's recently discovered that the fur on the top her her head can grow longer, and its wiry 'dust mop' was going in every direction as she gave a grin into the wind.

Alopex has posed:
    The term 'cool' for Alopex did not apply to any point in the summer. Not a single day of it. 81? Ice crunching is following the fox wherever she goes. She was fairly good at maintaining the supply for as long as she needed to. The pause the two take is a good time to get some water, drain it, offer it to her partner, then settle in, listening to the various sounds of the city. Car horns, people yelling, the occasional airplane flying overhead, distant sirens, and so on.

Kainashi has posed:
    "This city's not too bad from above." Kai states, and she points up at some of the radio tower antenaee. "A while back, Donatello was trying to teach me about the waves that the shellphones use to talk one another, and it turns out it's not like, our voices, but electricity that mimics our voices! Pretty cool!" the younger Pitbull states, and she gives a wide, toothy grin to the fox before she drops down, and accepts the water bottle, then hands it back to Alopex.

    "... he's really smart. Like *really* smart. But he tries to not make me feel dumb."

Sally Pride has posed:
From just off the side of the building the clink clunk of boots on the metal rungs of a fire escape can be heard, and the muttering about "Ninjas got it easy" under ones breath. Before a gloved hand appears to grab the edge of the rooft, and the match to pull Sally up and over. "Either I need to learn that wall running gimmick, or get a grapnel launcher." Sure, she can climb, but it's not exactly fast. Not when you're trying to climb the brick and rebar of big city buildings that your claws can't always dig into fully.

Once on the roof Sally takes a moment to dust herself off, and adjust her jacket. "Sorry I'm slow, some of us still gotta go the old fashioned way to get out of the street level eyes."

Alopex has posed:
    "Mmhmm." The fox gives a glance to a nearby tower, then goes back to Kai, "There is a bit to how they work, I'm sure. He .. is a useful individual for a lot of reasons, but I'm glad he can explain things without sounding overly.." hrm. What is a good word. She shrugs, not really coming up with one. "He speaks well, I'll leave it at that," she decides before noticing the sound of some familiar heavy boots near by.

    "The launcher would be your best bet, so long as you have a strong grip and good upper body training," Alopex suggests, giving the lion a wave. "Not slow. Just travelling the ways that are available to you."

Kainashi has posed:
    "Yeah! Not everyone's built for the fast running parts. Some are built for the other parts! Part of being a ninja is mastering your environment!" Kainashi cheers, throwing her hands up in loose fists -- and with a dull THOONNNGGG ends up putting a dent in a rooftop AC unit.

Sally Pride has posed:
Sally Pride laughs at the strong grip remark. "I can handle a torque wrench one handed, I don't think strong grip is an issue.... Okay, specific training on the other hand." The lioness shrugs a little as she walks over to the pair. "And the phrase you're looking for is that he doesn't gloat it." Her hearing was good enough to hear part of the conversation on the way up at least. "It's amazing how different those four can be, despite having only grown up with themselves and their master for so long."

Alopex has posed:
    "Ah, yes, thank you, that's a good way to put it." The fox meant more along the lines of not being super dense, geeky, techno-speaking about things. But she'll take gloat. "I'm sure you could handle just about any training, Sally. You just seem the sort if you can keep motivation." That she DIDN'T know about Sally, yet. She had a feeling but nothing confirmed, at least not yet.

The dent in the AC unit doesn't even get a reaction. She is fully aware of that strength and knows that Kai is self-aware of it enough to realize what she did.

Kainashi has posed:
    Kai is totally self-aware, and drops from self-aware to self-concious as she drops her hands a moment, dropping her jaw, and then slowly attempting to fix the dent as she talks,"Yeah, he doesn't goat over it! And you do have to be strong to use grappling things because even if my shoulder gets jerked too much-' metal squeal, metal grinding noises, one rivit pops loose "It could pop out of socket and it hurts to get put back in!" she states, and decides that she isn't helping the issue as she rubs the back of her head, and then sits back down.

Sally Pride has posed:
"Here, lemme give you a hand there kid." Sally scoops the rivet off the rooftop, wedges her foot under the panel to use the steel toes to prop it into place, and partially push the rivet back into the hole. "Anyone comes up here because of AC complaints they'll just think the wind or a bird or something rattled it."

She dusts off her gloved hands, tail giving a satisified flick. "Well I -was- suppose to be some freak super soldier, after all.... But I'll stick to fixing cars and punching thugs in the face." A smirk just enough to show her sharper teeth follows. "More fun when it's of your own volition to set a few hosers straight."

Alopex has posed:
    "I know what you mean. I rather enjoy choosing what I want to do rather than taking orders from a walking kitchen utensil." Shredder. Oy. May the oops live on forever.

    The fox just observes the attempts made to fix the AC, then shrugs when it doesn't quite go as planned, on both their parts. "Either that or denting the housing won't affect the AC itself. One or the other."

Kainashi has posed:
    "I hope not... I dont want all those people to be cooped up inside and hot." Kai replies quietly, and then she gives an appreciative (if embarrassed!) grin with her not-quite-as-sharp-teeth to Lioness.

    "And I"m not in a cage. I'm happy." she replies, and then auses, looking a bit nervous, and then she taps her fingers a little before rubbing the back of her head. "So. Ah... I have a question, and since you are both like me, I thought you might be able to answer it.." Kainashi draws out a pregnant pause, looking to the Fox and the Lion.

    "... what do people do on 'a date' if someone asks you on one?"

Sally Pride has posed:
"It probably won't affect it -too- much," Sally says, in an effort to keep Kainashi from feeling too bad about it. "This is just so no one thinks it's weird it's damaged if they do come up here." She folds her hands behind her head, giving a curious glance at the canine.... and that was not the kind of question she was expecting to hear after the 'like me' part. Figured it would be something about being mutants. "Oh. Usually something they both enjoy doing that they can do together. And food." Food is always a good impression. "... Dare I ask why?"

Alopex has posed:
    You know, if the fox hadn't already drained her water bottle she'd probably have sputtered some of it out just then. Instead, there's an ear and tail flick. About as much 'surprise' anyone will see out of her in a non-combat situation. "Ah, well.." thinkthink. Sally with the save. "Yes. Generally you enjoy some time, food, and common hobbies with someone else."

Kainashi has posed:
    And Kainashis ear pinks turn bright red, and she folds them back in embarrassment as she gives a soft 'huff' of breath, her nose wrinkling a moment, the short, fine whiskers on her muzzle coming forward before she looks up and rubs the back of her neck.

    "... Donatello asked me on a date."

Sally Pride has posed:
Sally Pride huhs. "I must of still had my head in the engine compartment, I don't remember that." Shrugs. "But I'm sure you can find something entertaining to do."

Alopex has posed:
    Oh. He did. Did he? "Interesting.. I'm sure you'll have a good time." Sounds like the fox approves! ... but she will -have words- with Purple. Oh. Yes. She. Will.

Kainashi has posed:
    "Oh, no, we ah... we keep bumping into each other when I take the long way home from solo patrols and runs. He saw my sketchbook and thinks I'm pretty great -- well, he used big words to describe me, but pretty sure they mean great -- and he did and I said I had to ask for your okay first Alopex since you're like my master and if you don't think it's safe then I won't go but he really does talk to me like I'm not... dumb. And when I don't know about something he explains it until I kinda get it!" Kai explains, "Not like Raph who was thumbing through my sketchbook and looked like he was gonna take some of my sketches outta it, or like Leo who is still very very scary or Mikey who is very very loud..."

Sally Pride has posed:
There's a pause. And then Sally laughs a bit. "That sums up Mikey pretty well." And the others... Though she's kinda surprised someone would think Leonardo is scarier than Angry Boi. Then again Leo does have that sterness. "Well you like drawing and he likes making things, I'm sure you can find something.. I don't know... maybe decorate something he built?"

Alopex has posed:
     It sounds like she has to have -words- with Raphael as well. That can come later. "I see no issue with it. The four brothers are good allies and have done .. little of concern." None? No. Raphael is always a concern, at this point. She does not like his temper. "I believe Michael means well, Kai. As for what to do? Hard to say. That would be up to you both."

Kainashi has posed:
    Words are good!

    And Leo was very scary if you were someone who couldn't pick up on his movements. Even with her ears.

    "Okay. Okay, cool, you're cool with it, and that means it's okay." Kai takes a deep breath, and then lets it out.

    "He suggested an action movie and pizza, I think. Which sounds like fun! I've never seen a movie except for on the old TV." she states with glee.

Alopex has posed:
    Perfect. Something safe. That is ideal. "That sounds a decent night ot have, Kai. I hope you enjoy yourself whenever you two figure out a time to meet."

Sally Pride has posed:
Sally Pride makes a clicking noise with her fangs and finger-guns at Kainashi "That's like the epitome of 'date night' right there. Movie and food. And theaters are dark once you're inside, so you won't have to worry too much about keeping out of sight."

Kainashi has posed:
    "Yep!" Kai replies, and attempts to do the same clicking noise. She winces. She mighta bit her tongue.

    She gives a nod. "All right, cool, and cool," she whispers, and rubs the back of her head again embarrassedly. "Thanks, 'Pex, Sally. It means a lot to me. I'm still learnin'."
