Cast of Characters: Christine Lake, Morgan le Fay

Christine Lake has posed:
With the first day of school at Happy Harbor done for Christine, she's driven to an apartment complex to move in and meet her neew roommate. An adminstrative assistant from the school, Ms. Cane, has driven Christine over, assuring her that her new roommate is ready for her arrival and is very nice. Still, Christine can't help but feel nervous as she stands in front of the apartment door, a pair of suitcases standing next to her, and rings the door bell. "Hope this goes well..." she says to herself.

Morgan le Fay has posed:
There's the sound of footsteps (and scrabbling paws) as the door slowly opens to reveal Morgan. Six feet two, in jeans and a King Arthur t-shirt and boots right out of Avalon. She looks over the two women and waves them both in. "Come on in" she says with a sweeping gesture, then steps back to let them in, though Morgan crouches, scoops up her kitten and is making sure Merlin won't run off to get into trouble, well, more trouble than normal. "I was informed I'd get a roomate. So who is who?" Morgan asks, green eyes sweeping over Christine and the admin assistant. "I'm Morgan, please, come in" she adds. She's got an accent that to American ears, can be summed up as 'pirate'. The apartment is large, on the top floor of the building and big enough for Morgan, cat, and roomate.

Christine Lake has posed:
Christine smiles as the door opens, then blinks as she looks up to adress Morgan. "Umm...hi!" she manages to say before she gets ushered in. She rolls her suitcases in, wigh Ms. Cane helping, then waves to the tall girl. "Ummm...I'm Christine. Your new roommate. Hi." She's wearing a cream blouse with poet cuffs, light blue skinny jeans, and black calf-high booties. "Awwwww....what a cute kitty!" She reaches out to let the kitten sniff her hand. "What's it's name?" Ms. Cane produces some paperwork for the girls to sign before she leaves.

Morgan le Fay has posed:
Morgan smiles. It's not a cruel smile. It's a genuine smile.Morgan crosses to a couch and kind of just slides down onto it. "Merlin" she says and looks from the kitten to Christine. The all black, green eyed kitten is curious and excited by Christine. Soon as four little paws touch the carpet, off to sniff and rub against the new roomate.

"Paperwork looks good" Morgan nods and signs her name on it. "Boils down to don't do anything stupid. Usual apartment things. So" she says sitting up more. "You're gonna like it here. So tell me about yourself, Christine?" she asks. Morgan's plans did involve a roomate. Just....she has a hunch Christine's actually interesting. See, HHHS did good

Christine Lake has posed:
Christine picks up Merlin and coos at the kitten. She gives him some ear scritches before signing the papers and waving good-by to Ms. Cane. "Well, I'm a Junior," she begins as she walks over and sits on the couch with Morgan. "I'm from San Francisco. My parents sent me out here becasue they thought I could use a school with less distractions." Christine shrugs, and Morgan thiinks that this might not be the entire truth. "Ummm...Not much else, I guess. I'm actually pretty normal and average. How about you? I guess with how tall you are, everyone asks you to play basketball?"

Morgan le Fay has posed:
Morgan shakes her head and settles back watching Merlin finding a spot to nap in, listening. "California" Morgan says, a glimmer in her eyes, watching her new roomate. "Less distractions?" Morgan asks. "Is California really that bad?" she asks, "I've just been around here for a while. I'm a senior, and no, no basketball. I'm in the equestrian and history club" Morgan says. "It makes sense if you know my name, Morgan le Fey" she smiles.

"Why would I play basketball? There's much more interesting things to do in school, right?" she adds with a knowing look. "I'd rather honestly read or just go to a ren faire or help out the history or equestrian clubs. But I'm willing to try new things"

Christine Lake has posed:
"Well, I don't think it's distracting...." Christine says with a shrug. "But, here I am out here on the East Coast. And it's not so bad, really. I'm getting to meet new people, make ne friends. And I got to see some superheroes in action yesterday in New York!" She looks rather excited about that. "Well, one superhero. But she totally lifted a delivery truck that had crashed!"

Moving onto the other bits from Morgan, Christine shakes her head when Morgan mentions her full name. "Ummm...I don't know what your name means. Was she like a medieval Queen or something? But equestrian club? That's cool! I've done a bit of riding, but nothing really fancy. Just rides on the trails at Golden Gate Park. And we've got lots of Ren Faires in the Bay Area. They're pretty fun! The dresses are *amazing*!"

Morgan le Fay has posed:
Morgan laughs gently, "Yeah that'll lose its luster" Morgan grins looking amused, "New York's only a bit away" she says gently, watching Merlin as Morgan listens, "Hm, San Fransisco huh?" she asks with a smile. "Oh, the dresses are amazing, you're right. The dresses are just awesome, the jewelry too" Morgan says getting up and coming back with a book about King Arthur. Morte D'arthur. "Morgan le Fey, queen of the fae and half sister of King Arthur" Morgan nods, the book set on the floor. "I've always wanted to go to California. So" Morgan says withh a glint in her eyes. "Ground rules for this place. Don't let Merlin out. Keep the kitchenette stocked, and don't fail classes" Morgan nods. "And don't move the curtain in my room" she adds, with a knowing nod, wondering what Christine's going to do decor wise for her room.

Christine Lake has posed:
"Oh, you'd *love* San Fancisco! The fog over the Bay. The Golden Gate. Coit Tower. The Cable Cars." She sighs a bit. "Hey! Maybe you can come home with me for Spring Break? That'd be awesome!" She settles down some and listens as Morgan lays out the rules. "Sounds easy enough," Christine replies. "Are we going to have a chore chart, or just sort of do our own thing? And I'd say that you're welcome to borrow any of my clothes as long as you tell me, but...I don't think I have anything that would fit." She smiles a bit.

Morgan le Fay has posed:
Morgan looks pleased, watching Christine and nods, "Chore chart? Why would I put anyone thrrough that?" she asks. Mostly since Morgan's got her plans. Smart. See, Morgan listens. "Spring break. Sure, I'm torn between graduating or staying for college" she offers and laughs. "We need to go shopping at some point then and figure out what we want huh? You don't strike me as a Hot Topic type" she adds and smirks. West Coast for spring break? Sounds good.

Christine Lake has posed:
Christine laughs and shrugs. "Well, let's say that like you, I'm open to new things. I mean, I don't think I'd go full Punk or Goth, but it's nice to have variety in your wardrobe, yeah?" Christine is glad that she's getting along so well with the roomie. So far, everyone she's met in Happy Harbor has been super cool and nice to her. "So, I'm going to guess that you want to major in History in college?" She looks around, noticing all the medieval-style decoratoins. "I mean, I really don't know much about King Arthur, besides the name and the general story; boy king, pulls a magic sword out from a rock, his wife cheats on him with his best friend." She shrugs again. "I mean, I didn't even go see the movie a couple summers ago and I think Charlie Hunnan is, like *hot*!" She giggles, blushing a bit. "But it's really cool that you've found something that you've got real passion about already. You've got a focus, while the rest of us are just kind of going along with life until we find something."

Morgan le Fay has posed:
"Or literature" Morgan agrees. "We got a history club and so many clubs" she offers and grins, looking content with that, "I got asked to try out for cheerleading, apparently one of them thinks I'd do well" Morgan says and nods. "It's good I got a focus yes, I just know what I want to do. It's like I can see myself working with history or books" she offers and nods looking amused.

"Arthur, the once and future king. Yes, you got it pretty much. I could dig out the movies or books if you're that into it?" Morgan offers with a smile, geting up to refill Merlin's food and water bowls, digging in the cupboards.

Christine Lake has posed:
"Maybe sometime?" Christine replies. Not that she's into it, it's just nice to get to know your roomate's interests. "Oh, you *have* to do cheer tryouts," she says and becomes more animated. "I was on the JV squad back home and it's a *total* blast! I can help you learn moves and dances and practice tumbling!" Now that they're talking about something she's familiar with, her posture and attitude become significantly more confident. "Lots of travel and trips to the school games and cheer competitions. And you would *totally* rock the outfit with how long your legs are. Seriously."

Morgan le Fay has posed:
Morgan looks dubious then amused, "Alright, I'm in" she says with a grin. "I know nothing about it though, so. When are tryouts?" Morgan asks with a nod, turning to face Christine from the kitchenette and finding pans. Cooking it is then. Looking over, Morgan calls over, "What do you want to eat?" she asks pulling out packages and boxes.

"You really think I'd make a good cheerleader?" Morgan asks with a infectious grin Morgan calling over the sound of cooking food. Something something soup and bread with noodles.

Christine Lake has posed:
"I'm sure you'll make a better cheerleader than I do a cook," Christine says with a laugh. She gets up off the couch and heads into the kitchen to help. "I really con't cook much, but is there anything I can do to help? Even if it's just set the table? As for what do I want to eat...depends on what's available. But, I'll probably be happy with sharing whatever you're making, if there's enough to share." She stands off to the side, awaiting instrucions. "I don't know when tryouts are, but I'll check tomorrow at school. As for the routines...there's a few easy to learn ones. Can you do flips and rolls? How's your dancing?"

Morgan le Fay has posed:
Morgan laughs shaking her head, "Nah, just follow the instructions on the back of the box" she says and nods. "I've got a certain style and grace" Morgan offers looking thoughtful, "I know how to use a sword, I spent a summer pretty much living at ren faires so...." Morgan says trailing off watching the pan coming to boil. "Merlin's not having any" Morgan adds as Merlin's rubbing against ankles, mewing at them as if asking where his food is.

"I'm nervous about tryouts though" Morgan offers, all part of her scheme. Christine's thrown her a curveball with cheerleading, though....but Morgan thinks on her feet, she can totally run with this new development and glances down to the kitten. "I don't think you'll make tryouts, Merlin. I just..." she says trying not to giggle. "I just...don't see you with a cheerleading outfit and doing flips and stuff" Morgan offers to the cat's 'what the eff?' look. Which is normal for cats, Morgan looking like she's going to burst into giggles again. Looking over to Christine, Morgan's amused. "So, junior huh, what are your plans for college?" she wonders aloud.

Christine Lake has posed:
"Well...not sure how much help knowing how to use a sword is going to be, Unless you're talking about fighting off the boys when they see you in the outfit." Christine dmiles and giggles. She kneels down to give Merlin pets and picks him up. "And the dances are more modern than Ren Faire dancing. I mean, it's not twerking or anything, but as long as you're co-ordinated and don't mind shaking your hips and your tush, it's not that hard to learn. But really, it's a lot of fun. Getting a whole stadium or auditorium to start chanting and cheering. It fills the place up with a kind of energy that's hard to describe. It's just something you have to experience to understand."

The question about college gets a sigh and a shrug from Christine. "I don't know," she admits. "I'm still in the 'floating through life and see what comes' stage, I guess. I really can't see myself ina ny particular job or career yet. Anyways, I've got a ways to go before college applications. I haven't ven taken the SATs yet. I'll probably ust find a college first, then determine a majr later."

Morgan le Fay has posed:
Cheerleading tryouts go on Morgan's 'to do' list for tomorrow as she grins. "I think Merlin likes you" she nods, "He's not tried to slash your artery yet" she jokes. Oh that kitten is too adorable to murder anyone. yet. Still Morgan nods and looks pleased. "You teach me to cheerlead. I'll teach you to cook. Deal?" she asks. Oh, Morgan's totally in this to get what she wants. Right now, that's stability and Christine definitely helps with that. "Gotta go shopping too and get more groceries" she adds and listens. "Hey, I've seen twerking at a ren faire. I wish I hadn't. But." she shrugs, turning her attention back to food. She's making some sort of soup with noodles and diced chicken. No wonder Merlin's wanting to try it.

"So. Aside from cheerleading, what else do you do?" she muses, looking pleased at how well all this is working out. Couldn't ask for a better roomie, and Merlin's doing that 'cat seriously enjoying pets' thing by purring as loud as he can and kneading and pawing. Thankfully, no claws.

Christine Lake has posed:
Christine hapily cuddles Merlin, giving him more earscritches and cooing. "Such a handsome boy, yes...." Laughing at Morgan's suggestion, she nods. "Okay, it's a deal. I can show you some dance moves tonight, and some tumbles after school tomorrow. Sound good?" The mentioning of twerking at a Ren Faire brings forth a flurry of giggles from the red-haired girl. She wiggles her hips and raps, "Yea, my milkshake doth bring all lads to the yard, An' they say Verrily! 'Tis better than yours...." She doubles over with laughter, letting Merlin drop to the floor "Ooops! I'm sorry, Merlin..." she giggles out.

Morgan le Fay has posed:
Morgan just looks quiet, then joins in giggling after a moment, as Merlin hops out of Christine's hands when she starts giggling, and carries on rubbing ankles after leaping to the counter, to the floor. Mewing, Merlin watches wondering what's so funny. Morgan knows, and smirks. "Ever heard that song Thou Swel? Arthurian meets modern song. It's....oddly compelling" Morgan nods highly entertained. See, Christine and Morgan clicked instantly. Morgan's so glad of this
