Just Like the Old Days
Date of Scene: 05 March 2020
Location: A Secret Hideout near NYC
Synopsis: Rose meets Tim. Did they convince her to stay or was that her plan all along?
Cast of Characters: Conner Kent, Rose Wilson, Tim Drake

Conner Kent has posed:
Rose would probably not be surprised when she found a couple clean towels pilled up outsider the bathroom when she finished the shower. He has always been a bit of a sucker when regards to her, pretty much from the day they meet when they were kids.

(Instead of, y'know, 'adults' like they are now at about 18)

Asking him nicely never failed, even if it made him do something stupid. He was certainly more distrustful this time. But many things have happened since Rose left the team.

Some other things have not changed, though. Looks like Conner still likes pizza, and the smell of it is noticeable as soon as Rose leaves the room. No doubt he will have added a truck ton of cheese and extra ingredients to the frozen base.

Rose Wilson has posed:
Showers are important. Cleans of dirt and grime, but also they are amazingly restorative mentally speaking. Just the luxury of them, the sense of relaxation and safety.

So when Rose finishes her shower, dries off and comes hunting for the source of the pizza smell, she looks more relaxed then before. She's got one of the towels over her hair, doing her best to dry it off as she steps into the room, eye quickly scanning the room to make sure that no one else is lurking in the room besides Conner.

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake is not quite lurking, he is sitting in plain sight. He actually met the pizza guy on the way up, and got it. He now has a piece, and has found a seat in a comfy chair. He nods to Rose as she spots him.

Conner Kent has posed:
Conner did text Tim when he saw Rose, after all. He is not at all surprised he got here in record time. Somehow, he usually gets to places before Conner, despite super-speed.

Conner himself is back on the couch, reading something on the smartphone. "There she is," he calls when he hears Rose coming. Totally unnecessarily, but he likes to state the obvious. "So what now?" This is mostly to Robin, in the case Rose is wanted for blowing up something important.

Rose Wilson has posed:
When she spots Tim there is a pause, her eyes narrowing a fraction before she tugs the towel down from where it's resting over her hair, settling it around her neck. There's no weapon in sight, so at least no one has to remind her to not point guns at people this time around. Just that stare, expression flat, but thoughtful.

Then she moves towards the pizza to snag her own piece before she glances at Conner, then back to Tim, one pale brow lifting upwards, "Yeah. What now?"

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake says, "Well thought see how you were doing, and if you were having some problems with someone we might have to see if you need help with it if so. Seems the old band is coming back together usually means we will be dealing with someone trying to mess with one or all of us."

Conner Kent has posed:
Conner opens his mouth to speak, looking at Robin with a frown. Then closes mouth. He shrugs and gets to the table for a slice of pizza. Apparently Rose has not done anything terrible lately, and that makes him relax a little. Why did he think she did? Reasons!

"Well, I am moving to New York. Not sure about the others," he glances at Rose, then slides the pizza towards her. "Impulse is around, was... a few days ago. But I have not heard anything about the others in weeks."

Rose Wilson has posed:
"I'm grand." Rose replies with the flicker of a smirk crossing over her face, a slice of the pizza is picked up, and folded before she shoves half of it into her mouth. There are a few bites, and she watches mostly Tim with a very wary look, waiting for him to drop the other shoe. Declare she's evil...

Only it never comes, and she just looks faintly more suspicious of the welcoming tone. She then glances at Conner before she shakes her head, "Not sure if I'm sticking around yet."

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake says, "Well if you are it is good to have you back around Rose." If that is because he missed her some or just easier to keep an eye on her when she is closer, well we let you decide on that one. "I plan on staying in Gotham, bus have been thinking about getting a place in the building here for when meetings keep me in town late."

Conner Kent has posed:
It is awkward because Conner had planned to stay in the hideout for a few days, maybe weeks, and now Rose is also here. And if she stays... Well, didn't they go around that once already?

But if Tim has not declared her 'evil', then it is very likely she needs the place more than he does. "Yeah, you can have your old room, we might need to reconnect to the grid and do some maintenance, tough. No big deal."

Rose Wilson has posed:
"It's fine." Rose points out, shaking her head at him when he says that they might need to reconnect to the grid. Or do some maintenance. The rest of that slice of pizza gets wolfed down, and she wipes her fingers off on the towel around her neck.

Food consumed, she moves to find herself a seat, hands resting on her knees, "I can find a place to stay that won't be under anyone's feet. Probably for the best."

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake looks over and says "Here is not to bad under foot, and was more thinking of nearby places. Might see about getting some solar panels to see if we can hide them and provide some of the power, should not be to hard." Yes Tim planning on fixing things up "Better" who would have thought it. "Oh going to start a program running to watch for people in more normal media

Conner Kent has posed:
"Don't bother if no one is going to live here again, Rob," replies Conner. "Or... is this place yours now? Still good for hanging out now and there. The generators are at 15% power but it could last years if we don't use it much." He looks at Rose again, she finished? Well, more pizza for him. He thought she would be hungrier.

Then to Tim. "A program for what?"

Rose Wilson has posed:
"I'm assuming a program for spotting anomolies or...clues, something that'll go with an algorithum. And target people. For helping." Not abuse and things. Not Robin. Rose reaches up with one hand, fingers catching just beneath the curve of the eye-patch to scratch for a moment.

But now it has been not just one invitation to stay. But two. So she just shrugs her shoulders easily, "If you two insist."

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake smiles and says "It is always good to have a few places to bolt to if need be and keeping them up to date is even better. Thinking about people who may needs some help of prone to get themselves in trouble. Met a young girl in Gotham the other night, think she is a mutant, is a healer, who offers her abilities if needed.

Conner Kent has posed:
"Plans and plans. I am just enrolling college," replies Conner with a small grin. Which is probably something no one could have expected of him a couple years ago. He only attended high school because Hawaii authorities were adamant about it.

"Not that I won't keep doing the super-hero gig," he clarifies. "Gotta say it is not as fun as it was with the gang. But I still want to help people."

Rose Wilson has posed:
There is an agreeable sound made to Tim's comment about having a few places to bolt to if needed. Rose is, shockingly, in full agreement on that particular topic. Although she gets caught by something else, instead, "A healer?"

The wheels start turning in her head for a moment before she shakes it off, glancing at Conner with a bit of a smirk, "College? What for?"

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake nods, and says "Yea, nice kid, trying to help Gotham, not really in the hero gig, was just in the wrong place at the wrong time ran into some gang bangers. She seems a good kid though. I admit have been thinking about the old days and some of the people we helped."

Conner Kent has posed:
Conner shrugs, "there are a... a lot of things I missed because I grew up in a clone tank," he admits. "And there are a lot of things I want to try. College is not just learning from books. I want to make friends and learn how normal people live. It is hard to explain. You two had normal lives before getting a mask, right? Well, I didn't."

Rose Wilson has posed:
The question about if she had a normal life causes her to shoot a glance towards Tim, then another one back to Conner, "No."

No normal life for her. But she doesn't elaborate. Instead she shrugs, "Whatever, though. Normal seems like it is pretty overrated, to me." The more interesting subject is the gang and the new girl. "What's her name?"

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake says, "Phoebe, about the age when we started doing this stuff." He admits, and looks over to Conner "Maybe can set up and take a class with you, if your taking anything interesting"

Conner Kent has posed:
"Oh c'mon Rose. You are not from another planet or a clone, are you?" Conner knows she isn't. Her dad might be a super-villain, but Rose was normal until well... some years before Conner escaped NOWHERE, when she started to hang out with capes.

Or was she? He is not sure if she ever talked about her childhood.

He almost missed Robin's question, but... "eh, the basics for now. I just got my GED."

Rose Wilson has posed:
"Not an alien or a clone." Rose is pretty sure, at least. She does take a moment or two to think about it, though. Then she shakes her head, confirming her status of not alien or clone.

The talk of traditional education just gets ignored, because everyone in the room is aware of what Rose's current, vocalized opinions, are of college.

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake says, "Well maybe next semester we can find an elective we can take. I personally think your going to college for the frat parties." He smiles a bit and says "Joking, well mostly." He teases his friend "So whats your plans Rose?"

Conner Kent has posed:
"The parties are important too," admits Conner with a smile. But he is not aiming for a joke college. He also wants to learn. He is aware Robin probably has half a dozen doctorates already, so the idea of taking classes with him is amusing.

And Rose... high school dropout? He really doesn't know her opinion on College. "Want to try? College, I mean, not the parties. Although I think you two could use those too."

Rose Wilson has posed:
"Sitting in a room while some old fart tells me what I need to learn to be better in this world and make a living, and being graded on it?" Rose questions, her brows lifting before she shakes her head, "Pass..."

No college for her. "I'll go to a party, though." No promises on good behavior though. And to answer Tim's question she shrugs her shoulders, "Just keep myself busy."

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drakenods his head a bit and says "Thought much about maybe getting the team back together a bit, maybe do some patrolling around the college or such, make sure things are ok, and see whats going on." He does not mention that it would also be good to keep Conner, and Rose both busy.

Conner Kent has posed:
"Fight college bandits, then go to parties," is that the plan? Conner laughs, getting another slice of pizza that gets eaten in seconds. "Looks like that is the only way Rose would go close to a college. But really, we can go patrol Gotham. It is close enough and it is much more likely to find someone needing punching."

Rose Wilson has posed:
"I'd go to a college. Campus." Because she would. Conner is right, there are reasons that she might be inclined towards it. But it is probably not going to classes, and sitting around being dutiful in any way. She starts to get to her feet, hands gripping the ends of the towel still around her neck, "I'm going for a run...let me know when you're wanting to go on some patrol."

Tim Drake has posed:
Tim Drake looks to the two and says "I can set up a night aside for when we can do patrols, we can do one here and once there." he will compromise. he will grab one of the last pieces of pizza, and tosses a burner phone to Rose "If you need to get ahold of one of us, I am one, conner 2, and Imp is 3" He will tell her.
