Kara Danvers has posed:
Some days the planet takes a breath. A quiet breath where it releases some of its tension. No alien invasions, no land slides, no nuclear meltdowns, no sinking ships. Just a quiet day. The bull pit at the Daily Planet gets quieter, no one is shouting for coffee. It was one of those days for Kara. She spent much of it at Metropolis University catching up on all her study and assignments. It was a productive day, so much so she almost jumped out of her skin when her phone buzzed reminding her she needs to get home for dinner.

But on a day like this, it's all the little things you take time to do - like taking public transport, like missing public transport, like running down the street, like losing all your loose papers to the wind down a darkened alley. Kara had become so good at being Kara Danvers that she could let the world be her bad luck, instead of manufacturing it. You just have to see the opportunity and take it.

This is how the young brunette wearing a sky blue jacket and black jeans found herself in a dark alley several streets from the bus stop she was headed to, collecting her loose sheets of paper. Of course her glasses fell off, she quickly put them back on, only to turn and see the two men approaching her in the alley way.

"Hey girl. Bad news. We're mugging you. Purse and phone, don't make a seen okay?," says the lead guy and Kara cannot believe her foolishness. How was she supposed to fake being a victim of a mugging?!

Gwen Stacy has posed:
A break is good, whenever and whereever one can take it. Even Gwen liked it, loved it. Playing with the band was one of her biggest thrills that didn't involve slinging webs and or punching mooks in the face and she was making her way back from such an indulgence. Drumsticks still in her back pocket, the blonde girl with pink highlights looked like any other passers by. A handbag over her shoulder, her hair hanging down and her phone in her hand? Gwen looked like any other teenager...

Or she had, until that electric 'tingle' on her nerves had her looking up and frowning. It took a second, a 'threat' or menace on the inhuman senses that wasn't directed at her...but it was directed at someone.

Well, she -did- actually enjoy the web-slinging and mook punching anyway!

A haste-filled glance down the street to make sure she wasn't watched, Gwen coiled and pounced upwards, flinging herself up over the top of the building and pulling at her outfit. A hasty change, but she had it pretty well practiced. Perhaps Kara would hear the familier -Thwip- with her Kryptonian senses as the Ghost-Spider secured her bag for later retrieval before she launched herself upwards towards the location of the mugging.

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara holds out her hands and can't help but chuckle. It comes off as a nervous chuckle but it's more incredulous in her mind. She's lived in this city for one and three quarter years and has been mugged twice. You'd think with so many superheroes in the city people wouldn't be so eager to do petty crime.

"I mean, come on guys. I'm a university student, I don't have anything. Also aren't you worried Supergirl will turn up. She and her cousin are often flying around," she tries her best to argue as she backs away from them with her clumped up homework hugging her chest.

That thwip from just over there, she doesn't turn to look, but she suspects may be she's about to bump in to Spider-Man once again. It's been a few months now since they last talked. Something about her missing out on cake, or was it a dance party? Whatever it was, he did a good job of making her feel like she was missing out - which did help her decide to share her secret identity with Kate.

The two men pull out knives and keep approach, "No messing around lady or things will get messy real fast and not even Supergirl will be able to stop the bleeding."

Kara can't help but arguing. She lifts a finger to push her glasses back up her nose, "Well, uhm, actually, she could absolutely do that, or barring that fly me to a hospital really quickly. We have excellent hospitals here in Metropolis." She bumps up against an array of garbage cans, knocking one of the lids off on to the ground causing a loud rattle.

Gwen Stacy has posed:
"Sorry guys!"

The voice calling out was a staple of classic heroics, but it also caused people to look up. When they were looking up? They weren't looking at blonde 'university students' they had been threatening to stab, and that created another moment for Gwen to act and perhaps the 'victim' to run away.

The silhouette in the sky was a spider, but the figure-hugging outfit, colors and the hood made it extremely clear it wasn't the well known Spider-Man. The webbing that snared outwards, one glob catching each man with their knives and a crossing of her arms yanking the weapons from grasp into the air.

A pair of quick shots follow as arms extender either side and pin the blades to walls before gravity had even caught up with them. Now there's two thugs in an alleyway, but they were minus weapons and plus a masked vigilante in front of them.

"You don't get Supergirl today, I can't swing around in a skirt and cape anyway!"

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara is awed by the grace of Gwen's movements, the precision of her web work, and the pizzazz of her opening. She is meant to be running away now isn't she? Woops. Well, she can't get everything right. Still, her mouth is slightly agape in admiration rather than surprise. This is the first time she's seen her fellow Titan in action.

She snaps her mouth shut and then smiles brightly, "Oh my gosh it's Ghost Spider." First Spider-Man and now Ghost Spider. Seriously, the spider-peeps are the best peeps. She looks at the men, dumbfounded by how badly this has gone. They edge away from Gwen and then try to make a dash for it past Kara. Well, she's in deep on this one already, so she doesn't get in the way. Besides, she'd get to see Gwen in action some more.

"Oh no," she ploys, "they're going to get away..." This is so surreal for her, to be saved by a fellow team member. But it's bound to happen when you keep your secret identity secret, even from fellow Titans. Only a couple of them know, but after tonight, well, she can't //not// share her secret with Gwen.

Gwen Stacy has posed:
Gwen was certainly the new girl in the Titans, or at least one of them! Still, whatever unsureness and hesitation she might have expressed in the social meetings among her fellow heroes? It was very much not on display right now! The movement of her brow might actually be visible with her mask, a tilt of her head and utter suprise as the two muggers make to rush -past- her and Kara. They weren't exactly brilliant minds to be trying to mug someone, but to try and get past the spider so close?

Yeesh.

One more pair of -THWIP-'s and Gwen's webshooters fling out a pair of snares out towards the backs of both men. A yank backwards and both were sent tumbling towards her, complete with the Ghost Spider stepping forwards and shaking her head. "Not like that they're not!"

Kara Danvers has posed:
It's a rare thing to see another hero at work and she can see how Gwen ended up sharing pizza with the Titans crew. She assumes it was pizza the first time, it usually is if Nightwing is organising it. She smiles and steps up to Gwen and says, "Thank you! That was incredible." She presses her glasses back up in place and hugs her papers to her side with one hand while offering her other hand, "Kara Danvers. I'm a journalism student at Metropolis University. Would you be interested in being interviewed about being a hero?"

The brunette has a winning but shy and sheepish smile. Her mannerisms and pattern of speech are quite different to the Supergirl that Gwen has met in the Titan's tower. Supergirl is not so mousy or clumsy. Though, she does off a surprisingly firm handshake, one which she avoids squeezing too hard in.

Curious how Gwen tends to handle these sorts of things - as Supergirl she just flies the thugs to the nearest police station and drops them off, she looks at the two muggers and ask, "What happens to them now?"

Gwen Stacy has posed:
For all her senses, Gwen didn't quite have the same means as Kara to see through a mask or otherwise recognize someone else in their 'alter ego'. At least, not unless they were another 'spider-person' anyway. A blink, Gwen actually takes a step back, raising her hands. "Oh uh...I'm not super keen on interviews. Newspapers and Spiders don't generally get along fantastically and..." she trails off, accepting the handshake and blinking a little behind her mask. Gwen was superhumanly strong, but she still paled next to the power of a 'Super' family member after all.

"Wow, good grip you've got there!"

Right, back to business! Gwen taps her mask lightly, a smile evident in her voice. "Oh, I set off a call to the police when I jumped in, a couple of photographs taken from the lenses in my mask. That way when the cops get here, they know they're the badguys and not a couple of random people tied up. You can...and probably should stick around to talk to the cops and give a statement though. I gotta keep going. Lots of people to look out for."

Yep, that was the reason that Gwen wanted to go with. Not the fact that she didn't have anything for dinner and practice had ran long...

Kara Danvers has posed:
Right. Talk to the police. Well, it's not the first time though usually when they see the big S on her chest they get a quick statement and expect she'll want to go on her way - which she does. "Oh, uh sure. Well, no interview then, gotcha. I'll find a way to make this up to you Ghost Spider, of that I promise." She smiles and tucks her spare hand away behind her back, not wanting to draw too much attention to how the girl of steel feels when touched.

"Thank you and good luck." But now she's wondering how creepy it would be to just.. follow her. Well, once this police talking to business is done with anyway. "I should call my parents and let them know I'll be home late for dinner." She pulls out her Starkphone and calls up her fake mother.

"Hey mum. Uhm. So I'm going to be home late." It is still a supreme amount of effort to call her 'mum', when her real mother, Alura is still so fresh in her mind. "Yes, Ghost Spider stopped some men from mugging me so I have to talk to the police. Mhm. Yes mum I am safe. I'm not sure she'd want to talk to you.." She furrows her brow and holds out her phone to Gwen, "My mother would like to thank you."

Gwen Stacy has posed:
Oh. Wow. Okay. That was new! A blink, a little whince she probably could have hidden from anyone who didn't have Kryptonian senses, but the young woman sort of stares at the phone for a moment before clearing her throat. Her voice shifting a little off-tone out of habit. Masks don't really work over the phone after all.

"You're welcome!" she offers a little too enthusiasticly before turning her gaze upwards, a webline set skywards snagging onto building to pull her upwards. "I gotta go, but...stay safe!"

Alright, so perhaps she could still be a little akward when she was stumped. The Spider was fleeing to the safety of the skyline likely to berate herself a little for feeling akward. Not that she was used to people suddenly calling to introduce her to parents. Hell, her last attempt at dating didn't even get -that- far.

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara moves to the mouth of the alley way and sits down on a step to wait for the police. It's the right thing to do. "You scared her mum. Yes no really. I could hear her heart quicken just a little bit. You shouldn't be so mean to them, they're doing amazing work. Mhm. No I don't think t.. the Titans is... gosh. You //asked// to talk to her. Mhm, well.. I will check on her. After I've talked to the police. Okay, oh sorry, I forgot it was movie night."

She sighs as she is finally off the phone. The police pull up and she starts to describe what happened to the officers who look with bemusement at the work of Ghost Spider. They collect the weapons and their perps and finally Kara is free. She walks down a block and ducks down an alley and in the blink of an eye, Supergirl is rising up in to the sky, her hair transformed from brunette to blonde, her glasses gone, her mannerisms of Kara Danvers gone. The T-comm is turned on.

She rises up high in to the sky and listens.. for... thwip. That way. She turns and pushes her hands and fingers out and with a smile of delight, dashes through the skies toward Gwen.

Gwen Stacy has posed:
Truth be told, Gwen didn't really stop to talk to 'Mrs Danvers', she'd dipped out of there about as quickly as she could. It was nice to get a little recognition and all, but after all the usual distaste for certain Spider heroes? It was a little strange to be confronted by it...and much like Kara she doesn't tend to stick around much longer after she'd dealt with whatever daring needed to be done.

The noise of her webshooters was pretty distinct, easy enough to identify especially when her white, black and purple suit was rather distinct against the buildings she swings between. As sheepish and off-put as she'd felt, the heroine flings herself skywards, twisting an elegant flip through the air into a dive and then flinging an arm out and pulling herself back into her next swing. It was one heck of a rush even now, and it did wonders for the mood!

Kara Danvers has posed:
One of those beautiful souring arcs through the air, Supergirl arrives by her side, "Hey Spidey!." Her bright exuberant smile on her face and a raised eyebrow, like she's sporting a secret, or news, that she simply expects Gwen to already know. "That was exciting was it not? A mugging!" Supergirl was probably watching from afar?

But tonight Supergirl isn't going to beat about the bush. She is getting better at talking about this with her Titan friends. "I mean, that was me. Uh. I am Kara.. Danvers. You saved me from a mugging."

She laughs a little nervously, though her grin is pure delight. Strange how her mode of speech sounds so much more Supergirl all of a sudden and her manner is full of energy and confidence. "As in, that is my secret identity - so that I can hang around with regular people and not be surrounded by the media." She nods a little for herself, but also in the expectation that Gwen will understand.

"I wanted you to know, because you came to my rescue like that. It was so lovely to watch you in action. I had no seen you do your thing before. I am glad you are with us in the Titans," she opens her arms a little and hovers next to Gwen where ever she comes to rest, "Is this a good thing to give you for being my hero tonight?" She thrusts a hand forward, "My real name is Kara Zor-El. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Not many people know me as anyone other than Supergirl, even in the Titans."

Gwen Stacy has posed:
The sudden twang of the line going tight has Gwen spinning as she stops, twirling a little on the line that she stretches out, pressing her foot into the length and inverting herself to try and kill some of the momentum before she rightens herself, hanging off the line as she find herself next to the famous blonde heroine.

"Oh hey Supergirl," she greets, a little falter in heartbeat and voice alike suggesting she was a little flustered. Team or not, it was still hard to get used to the 'big names' just being there.

"It was just a mu-..." Oh. Oh wow all over again. There's a little shift, a tilt of her head and an obvious sizing up of the floating figure before her in comparison before she gives a little laugh. "You mean the...okay I see it. But the hair and glasses and..." stammering stopped with an exhaled breath, she can't help but give a sheepish giggle before she gestures with her head towards the perch of a lower building and drops downwards.

"I don't know if it's still saving you if it's...y'know. You?"

Introduction offered, the girl gives another sheepish laugh, reaching her hand out to take the offered shake before she scratches at the back of her head. "It's certainly unexpected. Nice to meet you 'Kara Zor-El'."

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara touches down and says, "/sern jivehd w shed:bysh/ -- good to meet you too. Uh. I suppose not. I was struggling to think how I was going to stop them from touching me with the knives while maintaining my identity. But, you saved me from needing to figure out that connundrum." She taps a finger to her chin thoughtfully and then shrugs her shoulders. "So thank you." This person holds herself very differently to Kara Danvers, University Student. "I hope I will see you around the Titans Tower more. There are many free hugs there." She opens her arms up now for a hug, then says, "I too should go, my dinner really is waiting me and it is movie night."

Gwen Stacy has posed:
Gwen herself had been partially outed at that first gathering, another person who could 'sense' and recognize her under the mask having spoken the name she'd introduced herself as out of costume in front of other members of the Titans, but this was a little different. Nice even, not that she'd be able to freely admit that. "Glad I could help. Save the day and all," she grins, the mask moving a little where it hugged her face.

"I should go too before the stores close or I'm going to end up ordering pizza again and...well, I'm not sure even superpowers can save me from an all junkfood diet."

Okay. Hugging. Sure!

The blonde still mask moves in, a hug offered was a hug taken. Why not?
