Cast of Characters: Julie Yan, Dinah Lance

Julie Yan has posed:
Julie was up early today, putting breakfast together. Today is dim sum noodles and dumplings with fried rice, nice and traditional, and Julie's had plenty of experience cooking before. The Chinese influence of Dinah's apartment definitely helps make her feel at home, even if it was totally by accident. She can't help but feel nostalgic.

Carrying a tray of delicious food into the bedroom, Julie announces herself with a soft, playful "Di~nah~" as she lays the tray on the bed. "I figured you could use a pick-me-up. How'd you sleep?"

Dinah Lance has posed:
Dinah's awake, or at least waking up from the smells and sounds of breakfast being put together and carried in. And so as Julie breezes in, she's bright eyed if not bushy tailed. One leg is kicked out from under the covers, though they're mostly tucked up under her chin, pilows piled up to let her sit up comfortably, and her hair's only significantly mussed instead of an utter riot.

She laughs softly, lips curving in a smile as she groans softly, "Oh,like I spent the last week trying to track down a major drug operation and staying up -way- too many late nights." She clicks her tongue, hands rubbing together as she eyes the tray ravenously, "Which, I have to admit, works way better when there's someone to help with the cooking."

Julie Yan has posed:
"Yeah, not like there's someone living here with you on and off to help with that." Julie says cheekily, and she picks up some noodles with her chopsticks. "Hope you like dim sum, I was feeling nostalgic. The interior decor didn't help matters..." She says with a little chuckle, and starts to dig in herself. "Go on, eat! Treat yourself."

Dinah Lance has posed:
Dinah huffs playfully, puffing out a sharp breath to blow some hair up out of her face, arms crossing in a playful mock-pout before she's picking up chopsticks and diving in, murmuring out between eager bites, "Hey now! I mean it's not like I'm incapable of cooking, and my takeout orders are a vital contribution to the local economy." She screws her face up a little and murmurs thoughtfully, "Even if this is -waaaay- better than any takeout in Gotham."

Julie Yan has posed:
Julie beams a little. "I used to cook for my sifu all the time when he was working long hours treating people, or handling spells...or when he forgot to eat in general. He was kind of a forgetful klutz sometimes. I think he just liked passing the buck to me." Julie says with a little nostalgia, and leans on Dinah, taking a dumpling and devouring it hungrily. She lets out a sigh, face darkening a little bit. "He passed away two years ago. The anniversary's coming up next March."

Dinah Lance has posed:
Dinah's eyebrows perk up as she murmurs thoughtfully, "Mhhh, taking care of a klutz who forgets to take care of themself... nope, no clue how that's prepared you for knowing me at -all-." She snickers softly and sighs playfully, leaning in against Julie and murmuring out. "Well! We'll have to do something. It's important to cherish memories like that." She hums softly,"Probably a nice little memorial ceremony? I'm sure we'll come up with something."

Julie Yan has posed:
Julie nods. "I usually write out a memory I have of him, then let it fly to the night sky when the time comes around." She says, nibbling on some noodles. "Sifu Aaron was a great man. He raised me from childhood, taught me all he could before he went. Cancer."

Dinah Lance has posed:
Dinah sighs out and nods, nibbling on her own noodles and smiling, "Well, he definitely did a great job raising you, Julie." She perks her eyebrows up and murmurs softly. "If you want someone to join you in March, you know I will, right?"

Julie Yan has posed:
Julie smiles and hugs Dinah tight. "Thanks, Di. I'll keep that in mind."

Dinah Lance has posed:
Dinah hugs back one armed, the other carefully putting her chopsticks down as she gives a lopsided grin. "But I guess I should get out of bed and grab a shower to start the day. Crime's not gonna fight itself... and the flower shop won't run itself."
