Ice Palace: When I am Older
Date of Scene: 28 August 2020
Location: Bronx
Synopsis: Another skeletal threat! Nessa, Thea, and Lucifer team up, and future plans are made to meet up again... eventually.
Cast of Characters: Lucifer, Nessa Donovan, Thea Queen

Lucifer has posed:
Tristan, the ten year old boy mage, sent Nessa a somewhat strange text series. The first one wasn't so bad, but it quickly went to worse. 'Kaylee finally answered me!' is the first message. 'She is one of the mages studying with the sorceror. She is 12.'

Then, a bit later: 'Kaylee is in trouble! I'm going to go help her. I will send up ice flares if it gets bad! Wish me luck!!'

No magic is needed to find Tristan, technically; he and Nessa had set up a 'find your phone' for him before - because he's ten, and had had some bad nightmares of being stolen by skeletons, to where that had been a comfort to him. That Nessa could find him. And now, it's more useful in a practical sense.

--

Lucifer's glossy black, brand new Corvette Sting Ray parks hard, and Lucifer looks at Nessa in the passenger seat. "By the way, I'm not ... really very good with children," Lucifer admits, though his smile doesn't come own in any wattage at the admission. He's sleek and professional in his dark suit, doing his usual 'warlock' impression. His smile stays broad as ever, words entirely honest. He makes a sound of dismay, pulling air in against his teeth, but shrugs, and climbs out. He parked /directly/ in front of a fire hydrant, despite all of the parking around the tenements. His gaze goes up... and then to the left.

There are strange, beautiful little plumes of magical 'fireworks' that look more like splatters of icy geysers against the skyline. There's a panic to them, they are more like calls for help than some kind of celebration: like road flares, but blue. They're on the near side of the tenements. There are large patches of eerie ice on the cement, with veins of pulsing black, like evil electricity, running through them, leading towards the apartments. People are reacting to /something/ back in there, and there's a lot of running away.

"The necromancer is either horribly impatient, or has no scope of time," Lucifer comments aside to Nessa, as he shuts his car door. Lucifer is upbeat, pleasant, but alert, scanning the exodus of bystanders with curiosity but not concern.

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"You don't have to be good with kids," Nessa points out. "Trust me, he's pretty cool. Except for when he decides to scare the crap out of me like this." She's not exactly pleased with the fact that he ended up off on his own, but at least she wasn't having to hunt him down by herself. If there's an issue with the parking job, she doesn't seem to worry about it too much, mostly because she's got something else entirely on her mind. That and there's the obvious fact that people are fleeing from the direction they were heading in.

"Something else must have gone wrong. Or maybe he /is/ impatient. Regardless, he's a smart kid. If there's trouble he's not gonna jump right in the middle of it. He'll be careful." She doesn't sound one hundred percent sure of that.

Thea Queen has posed:
Out of the apartment and far, far afield is Thea Queen. She's dressed down; she wears no red, hooded leathers like she had even a month ago, nor does she carry any weapons with her other than, maybe, a little pocket knife. It's not searching the city for crime that she's interested in, really- she's not. What she had wanted to do, however, was to take a look at all these ice.. creations.

She'd heard they were beautiful once. Standing in the heat and remaining ever so cold. Then, things started to change and pitched battles happened at one, two.. and she's only now looking for them, to see them before they're gone.

Thea is dressed, then, in cooler summer evening wear; jeans, tight sweater shirt with a bolero jacket over top. Her bobbed short hair is straightened, one half of it tucked behind an ear.

It's the plumes of ice that rise into the sky that really catches her attention, and for a moment, she's mesmerized by the display that can be seen for blocks in any direction. Soon enough, as she approaches the area, there's a desperation to them that even Thea begins to catch on to, and blue eyes search the sky, then the area blocks down as she jogs towards the area. People are leaving, fleeing, while some are keeping their distance and recording with cellphones while the youngest of Queens approaches.

Lucifer has posed:
"Are /we/ jumping right into the middle of it?" Lucifer questions wryly, but doesn't seem to be actually skeptical about any of it. His manner calms more, though, as they head towards the icy patches, and he becomes more alert, scanning. "I don't mean to suggest that isn't a plan. It is /A/ plan."

Then, a little rabbit comes bounding out right at them. It's made of snow and a touch of frost, little paws sending off sparkling swirls of snowflakes as it flees; as it gest further away, it starts to fade, or disappear, as the magic leaves it, and spirals of soft, icy mist leak away from the panicked magical animal.

Ahead, there's a fight. Sort of.

In the tenement courtyard is an 8 foot tall skeleton, with a massive, broad-headed double-blade axe. It is swinging here and there at about a dozen little frost animals: squirrels, fauns, a few birds that are all harrying it. It might be silly, except the animals are losing; a bird is caught mid-flight and destroyed in a splatter of snow.

The skeleton roars, pulsing with a dark blue magic in its empty rib-cage, orienting, hunting, and annoyed by the little critters that bombard it.

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"I'm not an eleven year old, I've got more experience than he's got years on him." Nessa's eyes scan the icy patches, then towards the buildings. "I hate to tell you this, but I don't have a plan other than finding those kids." The rabbit is what gets her attention first, but it puts her on edge more than anything. "Be careful of those, pretty sure Tristan might have made some of those but I can't be certain they aren't feeding our necromancer friend. He's the one that taught that particular spell."

She's not sure, the closer the head, if the animals are actually going to continue to help, even if they're the ones fighting the skeleton. Her eyes flicker in the direction of Thea for a brief moment as she approaches, but she's already taking her gloves off. She looks back towards Lucifer. "Right, okay. Find the kids?"

Thea Queen has posed:
Thea's steps get a little quicker in that jog, turning a touch brisker as she approaches the more immediate area. She can feel the cold radiating off the location, and she closes her little jacket in an attempt to ward off the chill. It won't help, of course; it's all magical, and again, for that heartbeat, Thea is taken with the icy cold beauty of the animals... until the little bird explodes into a puff of snow as the giant, blue-glowy skeleton hits it with the side of the broad axe.

There isn't much in the way of maneuvering, then, and she doesn't even notice that amazing car that is also approaching. Not immediately. She'd actually //heard// about those skeleton things- hard not to come across it in the tabloids, even. But to see it in person?

Thea is so.. not magical, she really isn't. Nor does she really know too many people she could actually point to and say, 'Magic'. Mutants, sure. Magic?

Not so much.

So, whatever this thing is... Thea's probably going to be really, really dumb- and picking up a paving stone by the curb, she tosses it in hand once, twice to catch the weight of it in hand before she flings it at the skeleton's head.

"Hey! Hey you!" is called out.. and she grabs another just to try and get its attention away from, well... those cute little bunnies and deer.

Lucifer has posed:
A hand comes from what may seem like /absolutely nowhere/ and tries to grab Thea's ankle!

There's a child there, a boy of about ten: and he's semi-transparent, blended in perfectly with some loose magical snow, just trying to get her attention. Kids.

"Don't, it's okay, I'm buying time," the boy whispers loudly to Thea. "My friend is trying to escape," he adds to her. He has a squirrel wrapped around his neck, little paws on his left cheek, and it stares up at Thea with big pale blue eyes.

--

"Right. Tristan and Kaylee, and keep our eyes peeled for magical relics," Lucifer says, with a quick nod, keeping pace by the worried Nessa. The rock flung at the skeleton does draw it's attention, it pivots towards Thea, creaking, axe hefted: which makes Lucifer also look over at that same way, towards Thea.

Nessa Donovan has posed:
Nessa's gaze moves quickly towards Thea as soon as she hears the shout. Her attention flicks to Lucifer for a moment before she looks forward. "If we've got someone distracting it, I'll try and take it down." That's mostly her just stating her attention more than anything, she figures the rest should /hopefully/ fall into place. Familiar tactics should work.

Her hands go out, ice frosting at her fingertips as she she starts to form ice beneath the the skeleton to capture its legs and hold it in place. Ice against ice can be tricky, but she's doing what she'd try on herself--removing mobility and causing some kind of physical impact.

Thea Queen has posed:
Thea lets out a quick 'ah!' and moves to lift the ankle that is brushed against, fingers not quite finding purchase, but more than enough to certainly make his presence known. "What-- oh geez.. kid. Stay put.. this thing.."

Thea actually picks up her foot again to tread //carefully// away from the youth so the skeleton doesn't focus on that little ice puddle. Another stone is thrown with a shout, this time to be sure she's leading the thing //away// from the kid(s)?

"Where is your friend?" is whispered in the meantime.

And, here comes Nessa. Calling in extra firepower is always good! Assuming the ice can actually plant the thing in place, Thea might be able to get closer and work on those spots that may be a little weaker than others. Joints.. joints are always a good target.

"Hey!! You snow-blind?" It's all she could think of, so sue her?

Lucifer has posed:
Ice grows upwards around the shins of the skeleton, bogging it's movement. It does, however, know what to do about that, it seems: which is to turn axe and smash down against the ice encasing left foot, while ripping that foot free. It's successful -- but that's still only one foot, and many skeletons (including this one) possess two feet. A squirrel races up along the axe, trying to be obnoxious, but the skeleton has found more focus with trying to free itself with the objective of resuming a charge towards Thea. Maybe it doesn't like being yelled at about snow-blindness. Or the rocks.

"Inside," Tristan says to Thea, pointing ineffectively somewhere. He's just too hard to see for his pointing to be useful. "I mean. I think."

Lucifer has split off, following the ice patches and the black veins, towards the building, a door to an open entryway full of metal mailboxes and presumably a hallway. He hasn't gone inside yet, though, he's crouched by some of the black ice forming near the door.

"Nessa!" Yells Tristan from where he is.

Nessa Donovan has posed:
Since Thea seems to be attempting to help, Nessa turns her gaze towards her. "It's got a heart in there, if we can get in there to hit it, it'll go down. I've seen some of these before," she explains, her gaze shifting to the ice skeleton again. "If you want some kind of spear or something to stab at it if it gets close..." She doesn't know if Thea needs it or could use it, but at the very least if it gets close to her there's something defensive. Rocks might be distracting, but there's a good chance they won't be useful up close. So she goes ahead, one hand focusing on the skeleton to try and ice up the freed leg, the other creating a solid spear of ice with a sharp tip at the end.

She hears Tristan's voice, but doesn't see him, so instead her eyes stay on where the skeleton is. Losing focus on that might be a bit of a problem. "Tristan, you okay? You don't happen to have a good idea where there might be a magical relic hiding over here, do you?" Maybe Kaylee might have a better idea, but it seemed like Tristan had at least been there before.

Thea Queen has posed:
"Inside!"

Even if she's not working in tandem, information gained should be information shared. It doesn't do any good for her to hold it if it can be used by someone else. Once that is called out, Thea's moving quickly, dropping to a crouch as she grabs a handful of dirt, always moving. She's closing in, feinting, shifting and ducking as another handful of smaller dirt and stones is heaved at the thing.

"He's back there, fifteen feet .. I've got his last spot in sight." Thea's concentrating, however, and just the thought of having a weapon? Oh.. that helps a whole lot.

"If you can make something, that would be some sort of amazing right now." Thea rolls out of the way, a shoulder roll with a good, hefty kick aimed at a knee, all while ducking from the swing. She's obviously trained to fight.. and blue eyes search for Nessa again and she holds out a hand, "Toss it?" She's getting into position for a good thrust; just needs the weapon!

Lucifer has posed:
Lucifer opted to leave the icy patch, and move back over. He's quick, and partially blocked from vision by the skeleton. The skeleton is entirely focused on the main combatant: Thea. It swings, freeing its other foot during the time that Nessa's attention gets pulled into making the icy spear. Without full attention, it's just too strong, too swift, to be held for long. These skeletons are dangerous!

The strike to knee isn't entirely ineffective, but it just lurches, and swings backwards with the axe, readying a massive haymaker that probably could just cut a spear entirely into splinters.

At the back of the windup, Lucifer interferes; he's slipped in and caught the upper bicep of the skeleton, hauling backwards, though it is very awkward, and there's a lot of axe near his face. Still, there's a momentary struggle, where the skeleton's foot is refrozen, and it's hung up.

"I was with her, she has it, she's escaping; I'm covering for her," Tristan tries to say, but the skeleton is shrieking very loudly.

Nessa Donovan has posed:
Even if she doesn't know Thea, Nessa's got a good sense of the fact that Thea's got /some/ kind of experience based on movement and general sense of going where it'd make logical sense to aim on the skeleton. The fact that she's making sure there's some kind of sight on Tristan's safety? She's winning bonus points already. The created spear is tossed towards Thea in a way that should be able to be caught easily, her attention focusing on the skeleton.

The concern of Tristan being nearby is still weighing on her. "Can you find her again? I think we can delay it at least and I think if the relic's far enough away the thing should just 'lose power' so to speak, if it is following the same trend." Then, though, she's busy on the skeleton. For now, the ice is a good distraction and a good way to slow it, although it leaves her little opportunity to come up or actually use something else to get a good hit in. "If I can find a way to sort of crack it's chest open that could be useful," she comments aloud--mostly so there can be planning if necessary.

Thea Queen has posed:
The ice really is cold, and it's pooling up all over. Thea is keeping an eye on where the little puddle had spoken to her, where she'd felt the fingers only to realize the voice was that of a kid, but when she hears bits of conversation from the ice-blaster, her attention pulls right back. The kick to the creature's knee does help a little, but it's just nowhere near enough to actually do much more than annoy it.

It's the toss of the spear, however, that has Thea leaping into the air again, using whatever it is that is around to launch herself. A bench? Sure.. and it's up and she makes a grab, catching it with a wince at the cold, and fighting to keep it gripped. It's slick, like an icicle!

When she catches the movement and the actions of the newly arrived to the fray, it's a heartbeat- not even.. it's a fraction before she takes her shot, having being given the target of opportunity.

With a heave of the spear on her way down from her spot in the air, she's aiming right for that blue, glowy bit. Archery is her thing, so this can't be too much different? With a grunt, she puts all her weight behind it, and when she lands, she drops immediately into a shoulder roll, only to come up again, ready for defense.

Lucifer has posed:
The ice spear pierces up through the ribcage, lancing straight upwards through the body. The skeleton partially drops back, which causes Lucifer to let go and dodge sideways, to not get stuck underneath to backwards-stumbling Skeleton. It's still very much 'alive', but dropped the axe.

"Hogwarts," Lucifer calls at Nessa, "Can you expand that spear stuck in it? I think he'll just soak the magic out of this axe if I use it." He picks up the axe, but mostly just to step back with it, pulling it away from the skeleton who promptly tries to reach out for it. Bone claws reach and grasp for it, but Lucifer steps back with the axe more, keeping the obiously extremely heavy magical axe out of reach. The skeleton is still capable of spitting cold in a frigid, dangerous belch at Thea, though: hopefully she's quite agile to dodge!

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"Can do!" Nessa calls in reply. She holds her hand out towards the skeleton, focusing on creating layers of ice upon the existing spear to try and bust open its chest if nothing else. "Unless it decides it knows how to soak my magic too," she points out. That hadn't been the case before, but these things were adapting. There's a couple of things bothering her, however. The first is the cold blast aimed at Thea, who she double checks to make sure is safe.

The second? Lucifer's out here instead of being inside. That means something's gone wrong with the plan to check on Kaylee and the relic. She casts half-a-glance behind her towards where she thinks Tristan is to check on him. "Still okay there?" She won't ask about Kaylee in front of him--she doesn't know if there's bad news that might upset him.

Thea Queen has posed:
YES!

Score!

Thea's not long in her spot, though. She's moving the moment she hits the ground, looking for distance now and keeping the thing in her sights. That's what archers do, anyway. She //can// use swords, but they're in short supply and she didn't happen to be carrying anything of the sort.

Thea is catching the conversation, and canting her head, catches the name given.. and barks a laugh. "That's cute.." but before anything else comes out, the skeleton is making itself known that even unarmed?

Thea takes a dive and a roll, up and out of the way, gaining her feet quickly, blue eyes watching the action. "Hey-- that all you got?" Now, she's playing keep-away, giving the newly arrived gentleman a chance to either get away or do .. something else. Something that'll do more damage to it than she can, unarmed.

Lucifer has posed:
"I think we've tested something else -- they're still ignoring us," Lucifer adds to Nessa loudly across the skeleton. He's able to assess the situation more critically. "Get these animals out of here," he says, actually using the base end of the axe to shove a faun away from the skeleton. "It's drawing energy off them."

"oh," says Tristan in a very small voice. He /did/ move, he's next to Nessa now, but still not visible. Which means ALL the little animals suddenly rush towards Nessa as if she were a Disney princess breaking into song. Little mice, rabbits, birds, and the bounding faun head her way in a cluster!

The Skeleton, frozen from inside and now hampered by the loss of the little moving magic batteries, wheezes, and tries to crawl towards Thea, gripping onto the lawn. It drags itself two more pulls, then collapses. Lucifer dumps the axe, and begins to brush snow off his suit in a frowning manner.

"There's no mages in there," Lucifer announces, belatedly, unaware of Tristan's feelings, maybe. Or just direct and honest. Lucifer has a general aura of that. "Gone -- on her own, or taken."

Nessa Donovan has posed:
Oh god. Why is it fate is trying to turn her into a stereotype? Nessa is fairly aware that the ice animals aren't actually coming to her, but instead towards Tristan who she's aware is somewhere nearby by the trajectory of the animals and the sound of his voice. There is something important in that that she feels the need to note. "Tristan, I need you to promise not to make any more animals. He's right, it turns out these skeletons and the monster in the ice palace are feeding off of them. We have to be careful."

It's a good enough explanation and covers the important bits. Her gaze moves to Thea and Lucifer as they're the ones she can actually see. "We'll have to find her and the relic, too, if we're going to help anything." There's a bit of a frown, but she turns her attention to Thea. "... you seem pretty good at this kind of thing."

Thea Queen has posed:
This thing won't stop? Seriously! Still, it's moving slower, and she can play 'keep away', after a fashion. The ice is filling its chest cavity, and once it falls and drags itself one, two pulls towards her? She waits until it moves no more before kicking at the 'head' with a sneakered foot with a proper shove. Not that it'll keep it from rising again, maybe, but.. it felt right?

The little animals are 'safe', and finally, she rubs her hands together for the cold, a soft 'brrr' noise exiting the young woman. "Not what I expected," is chuckled softly, her tones really not reflecting amusement.

The fact, however, that the kid lost someone? Her expression falls, and there's a moment when she looks as if she'll say something, then.. not. Taking a deep breath, she shakes her head, "I.. I'm not good at something like this. Not really. I saw it, and, well.." She ran forward instead of away. She offers a ghost of a smile and shrugs her shoulders.

"Right place, right time?"

Lucifer has posed:
Finally the child appears. He's ten, dressed in a teal sweatshirt, jeans, touseled black hair. He doesn't look physically related to either of the other two adults present, but he moves towards Nessa with an expectant manner, seeking comfort in the crowd of animals and Nessa. "My animals are bad? But... the sorceror taught me. He said I was a natural," Tristan says to Nessa uncertainly. He gives both Thea and Lucifer an uncertain look, but then he looks at the skeleton. "We got 'im, though." We!

Lucifer laughs softly, shooting a look aside at Thea.

"I hope Kaylee's okay," Tristan says.

"Seemed to me like you were quite 'good enough,'" Lucifer compliments Thea evenly, tone smooth and languid, unconcerned with the whole situation. "Mind if I ask -- are you an archer? Handled the spear as if you were." There's an analytic, direct intense look from Lucifer, with a slight tilt of head.

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"Right place, right time, right person." Nessa notes. "These things can be really dangerous and it could have been way worse. Especially if people didn't get out when they did." She shakes her head. "This isn't really my sort of thing either. There were people I just stumbled across who needed help and now I'm stumbling into other things that need a bit of a helping hand."

There's a look that crosses Nessa's face for a moment as she clearly doesn't seem to want to say what she's about to say. She turns a bit towards Tristan. "You /are/ a natural, Tristan. He didn't lie about that. You're good at this. You figured out how to make these when I couldn't quite even do it." She hesitates. "But there's something wrong with the spell. It's corrupted. It's taking your energy and putting it into the animals and then it's sort of 'feeding' the castle." She does offer him a smile. "We'll work out a different way to do it, some better way, okay? You're a natural after all."

She had no idea if she can work out an ice construct on her own, but it seems kind of heartless not to leave him with some hope for his ice animals.

Thea Queen has posed:
"Those animals are adorable," Thea offers. It's something, and if she can help bolster the kid after, well.. the truth over the corruption? It's a learning experience for him. She cant help but watch him as he moves towards Nessa, that ghosted smile warming. Cute kid... and once she can pull her attention there, she turns blue eyes to the still unnamed Lucifer. She shakes her head, and exhales in a chuffed breath.

"Not exactly what I meant, but.." and she nods soon after. "Archery. Swords.. seems kinda stupid, I can't shoot a gun worth a da-- rn." Pulling her light bolero jacket a little closer around her, it's supposed to be summer, but the evening's chill is on, and they're around //ice//. "Spear was just sort of an extension..." and she looks at Lucifer for a long moment, "You shoot?" Bows.

Rolling her shoulders forward, Thea's ready to take the step back, ready to head back into the anonymity of the City. It's nice no one in NYC cares about things in Starling, for once. She nods her head, short, bobbed hair shifting in the gesture. A quick hand is taken to pulls a bit behind the ear before she presses her lips. "It coulda been, but.. you guys were here too." She shrugs quickly before looking over her shoulder, back to the roads. "I.. uh.. I should probably go." She's not quite moving yet, though. Turning her attention back around, there looks to be decision on her face. She pulls out her phone, and it looks like a 'burner', but given the way she's handling it, it's not a single use thing. But, she hasn't yet memorized her number. "I'm Thea." There's the pause before, "If, you know.. ever want to fight skeletons, I might be around?" Though there was something earlier that she'd missed, no, almost missed.. "Once I remember my number, I can give it to you?"

Lucifer has posed:
"Is that why I'm always tired?" Tristan squats to his heels and picks up one of the ice rabbits, to hold it. He hugs it close, frowning at Nessa. He looks at the rabbit again, and gives it a squeeze, leaning close to murmer something to the rabbit... and then dispels it. It flutters into snowflakes and Tristan pretends he has something in his eye, with a manly sniff and swallow.

Lucifer just looks awkward about the whole thing. He was being truthful when he said he wasn't good with kids; he doesn't interfere at all. Still, he gives Nessa a flash of a smile and a thumbs up to her... while digging a metallic flask out of a pocket and having some. Lucifer won't be good example of the year anytime soon.

"Not lately. Still collect weapons, though. I've an arcane bow close to your size. In the right hands, it'd would wreck these skeletons," Lucifer observes. "Suppose I should have thought ahead on the arms, shouldn't I?" Lucifer tut-tuts at himself, rueful, without any actual regret. Smile still very pleasant. He draws one of his cards out of the inside of his coat, with a grin. "Come by, once you remember it, Thea," he teases. "I'm Lucifer. That's Nessa." Casually stated, open as always. The card is for the nightclub 'Lux', in black and raised gold.

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"Unfortunately, bows of ice don't work quite as well, so I figured the spear would at least give you some distance. If I'd known you could handle a sword I'd have made that instead," Nessa offers a genuine smile. "Honestly swords are way cooler." There's no pun intended there, at least. "Pretty sure there's plenty of them lurking around right now if you ever wanted to beat some up. Dangerous, but it's good practice. Keeping people safe in the process."

There's a bit of a choked up look for a brief moment as Tristan hugs the bunny, and Nessa totally doesn't have something in her eye either. She's straight-faced and then smiles. "You did good." She puts her gloved hand over on his shoulder, noting the look from Lucifer with a bit of a smirk.

As Lucifer offers the introductions, she nods towards Thea. "Good to meet you. Happy for the help." She glances between Lucifer and Thea. "It would honestly be useful to have some extra backup that isn't caught up in this stupid web of lies."

Thea Queen has posed:
The kid and the bunny.

Thea can't take her eyes off the kid for a long moment, and she really doesn't care. She takes the back of her hand and gingerly wipes under the eye-liner line so she doesn't smudge. She's not wearing a lot of makeup, but she's really not in the mood to look goth.

She takes a hitched breath, and straightening, still with phone in hand, she instead puts it away and accepts the card. The flask is certainly noticed, as well as the fact that it's a nightclub.

It might as well be a physical distancing from that sort of temptation even as she takes the card with a 'thanks', and a headtilt as she repeats names in order to remember them. "Lucifer," first, "Nessa."

Just the thought of an arcane bow.. one that could do who knows what to even the skeletons? "When I'm actually in practice, I can draw 75 pounds." Hefty for someone her size. "Right now?" She laughs a touch self-deprecatingly with a shrug, "Forty five. Tops." Which, in her world? Baby-bow. "But if you ever want to sell it?" She'd be up to buying it, maybe.

The thought of being backup, though.. Thea is really considering. There is so much going on, so much she should go back to, so much she should begin, and.. "I'll meet you here," and she has the card now to wield, and she gestures with it, "I'll see you there?"

Though now, she does take that next step back in a dual-purposed step. Still cold, and it's time to go back to the apartment. "Really, it wasn't a big deal. But, when I have more time, I'll look you up." And it's all the more likely because she heard some.. hope.

Lucifer has posed:
"Selling is always an option," Lucifer says with a relaxed shrug, open to the idea. He isn't a hoarder by any means, and he wouldn't have mentioned it just to brag about it. "But only after a trial. Have to be sure it's going to a good home," Lucifer says loftily. He chuckles, though, taking another drink from the flask before it virtually vanishes back away again. It isn't magic, it's just sleight of hand, plain and simple.

"I only have two seats. You two good to ... teleport? Wizard stuff?" Lucifer asks Nessa and the child, with a sort of finger-wavy-thing that looked like it should have gone with an 'abracadabra', except for the slight smirk associated with it.

Nessa Donovan has posed:
"I dunno, I thought it was a big deal," Nessa points out. "But if that's what you do when it's not a big deal... I'd like to see what you do when it is." She's grinning, even as she squeezes Tristan's shoulder to make certain he's aware he's not forgotten even with her attention turned to Thea for the moment. "He's there often... I've got enough of occasion to stop by. And if I'm not there, Lucifer knows how to find me. Don't be a stranger, Thea."

Nessa raises an eyebrow at Lucifer. "Right, I'm a mage, but that's not exactly my thing. Haven't branched out too much from the ice thing. Kind of having problems with finding a teacher that's not--" She cuts herself off, a brief glance at Tristan before she doesn't continue that thought. "I am perfectly capable of finding a ride, don't worry. Better get back to your den of debauchery."

Lucifer has posed:
"I feel tired, and woozy," Tristan says, quietly, to Nessa. He'd dispelled some more mice while the adults were talking, and seems to want to sit down a minute. It's connected to his animals, of course. "I'm sorry." But given a little rest, he'll be all right, though he hasn't sent the last squirrel away yet. Not /yet/.
