Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Oliver Queen, Malcolm Merlyn

Oliver Queen has posed:
This isn't the Glades, not even one of those derelict buildings that criminals like to choose as their hidey hole after they do a major robbery. These ones decided to hide right in the middle of the surrounding blocks from where that crime took place, a pouch of diamonds from a reknowned jewelry in Starling city.. The haul of a lifetime, if they can actually get out of the city..

The police has been looking for this gang, going over the usual spots, the glades, asking the criminal sorts there. But these folks are professionals, and from out of town. They are confident on a way out.

Team Arrow and Oliver Queen aren't the police though, using a mix of technology along with their investigation methods has led Oliver Queen to this place, dressed in the garb of the Green arrow, dark green leathers, the quiver and bow, hood up...

"I am on site, Diggle." He says over the comms to his right hand man that is back in the cave looking over the operation. "They should be up near the top floor, I am going to start the climb.." one arrow is notched on his bow and he points up, ready to send a grappling arrow up so he can be pulled up to the top.

<Roger that, Green Arrow. Keeping an eye out on the building alarms. So far all is calm.>

Malcolm Merlyn has posed:
Normally...a group of jewel thieves wouldn't gain much attention from the one who others call the Dark Archer. To be honest, Malcolm Merlyn wouldn't have cared much for the heist if it wasn't for two things.

One, it happened in his city. Malcolm's city. His home. And things just don't happen here without his knowledge. Sometimes...without his permission.

And two? This group was from out of town. They needed to be taught a lesson. That certain things will not be tolerated in Starling. And, that sort of lesson needed to be taught directly.

There is a dark figure standing on an adjacent rooftop, watching calmly. A pair of binoculars is held to an obscured face, covered with a black mask, with a dark hood thrown over for good measure. A shadowy doppelganger of the individual about to ascend with said grapple arrow. For the dark one? A similar tactic...a similar arrow, only geared for a zip like descent. But, first....it is time to observe. To watch. For the best time to join the party.

Oliver Queen has posed:
The arrow is shot, unerringly hitting the target on the side of the building, embedding itself there. The mechanism then begins to work, whirring the green archer up the building, he only needing to use his feet from time to time to keep up. Isn't technology great? Saving him from having to actually climb 20 floors?

But the target is on the 18th in this case and the more he climbs that silhouette of his can be visible in the night, shadowy, stealthy but still visible for someone in a vantage point..

<These arrows are great.> The arrow murmurs to the man on the other side of the comms. It was only a few years ago that he had to do the whole climb by himself! The response comes with some amusement. <Well, at least back then it meant you couldn't speak leg day...>

Oliver's response is a hmph, a shake of his head and then silence. He is getting close to the target. There is light in the room, even if the curtains are close... Voices? Some..

Oliver perches himself to listen, even as he starts to work the mechanism so as to open the window from outside. All made with practiced, measured gestures. The mark of someone who has done this for years.

Malcolm Merlyn has posed:
And yes, it is hard to not notice the shadow of a climber from the rooftop. There might have been a slight smile that could have been visible, if it wasn't for the mask. Watching the green hooded one stop at the 18th floor draws a slight nod from the dark one, as the arrow is fitted to the compound bow and fired. <<Right on time.>>

There might has been an audible impact to the one trying to gain entry via the window. But, if so, it was muffled....could have been anything.

Using the bow, Malcolm slides over the gap from roof to the 18th floor, around the corner from where Olliver is doing his work. Oh, for this one, he is more than willing to let Oliver do all the hard work, if he wanted, but there is always an easier way of doing things.

But, since Oliver has the balcony, Malcolm will have to go for a little more clever entry point. Which...means traversing a narrow ledge to a dark window. A quick glance betrays it to be an adjoining room...a bedroom...that isn't occupied for the moment. Okay...time to work a little magic to get in.

Oliver Queen has posed:
The work Oliver is doing on the window stops for a brief second. A glance is given to the source of that sound, on the other side of the building.. Could be anything.., but better be careful than sorry. He gets to resume his work, opening the window with just the softest of *clicks* heard. Done.

The voices are louder now that the window opens just a nudge. Apparently still undetected...

He begins to slide within, noting a pair of men currently playing cards on a table. There are a couple more playing spots at the table but currently unoccupied. So at *least* four of them.. That shouldn't be a problem.. Yet with the close quarters a bow may not be the best choice. He separates the bow into escrima staffs and jumps in..

On the bedroom there indeed is noone, all quiet! But the sounds from further inside the place means some commotion may have began!
