Synopsis: Stoped one crime, but it seems someone is pulling strings called the kingpin. Stephanie, Roberto, Daisy,Kate might have to do some digging.
Cast of Characters: Wilson Fisk, Kate Bishop, Daisy Johnson, Roberto da Costa, Stephanie Brown

Wilson Fisk has posed:
Midnight, Docks

A siren is erupting into the night, filling the world with fear, panic. Dead guards all over a warehouse, the sound of three trucks starting up, with dangerous material signs on the side of them. A squad of goons drives each one, ACME chemicals are on their sign. For that that are in the known, this warehouse is used to store militaristic chemicals and that are sold to militaries worldwide. Everything the top of the line in nonlethal chemical warfare.

So many high building this far into the docks, no real lights due to the power failing, was it by their hands or by luck. It would take time to figure that out. Still, for now, three large semi-trucks fleeing the scene, one going towards the gate to the north, one to the east, the other is heading north-west through a large fence running it down, the sirens dying down, as if someone somewhere wanted silence no police coming it is up, to luck or heroes to figure this one out.

Kate Bishop has posed:
Old habits die very hard.

Yes Katie does most of her crime fighting in Metropolis or honestly lately anywhere up to and including space. That was a bad trip. Still though her family has extensive property in New York and this is where she goes to school. So instead of taking the hyperloop back down to Metropolis on Friday she stayed at her New York place and decided to go out patrolling in her older stomping grounds.

The last time she had issues in warehouses in the docks out here it was Russians running guns and a psychotic clown lady crushed one like she was Gallagar with a mallet and a watermelon. Bad trip.

Still here she is on one of her bikes, fully geared up, ready to rumble with any crime, and conviently there is alarm sirens off yonder. She drops her bottle of soda in one of the saddlebags (cap on thanks) and takes off fast to the docks, headlight cutting through the dark from the power outage.

Which is good because she just manages to not get run over by the semi crashing through the fence... "Son of a bi..." as she gets her bike back under control and starts to tail it. Not aware of the other two trucks yet. "This is super sus."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Daisy ..., or rather REPLICA has turned to exploring the city at night as a vigilante from time to time and with a certain blind lawyer having been caught on a late meeting it was up to her to be out here, dressed in an armored outfit that is somewhat similar in manufacture to Daredevil's even if the colors are different, dark blue with streaks of black. The lower end of her face is covered by a mask, sleek goggles on her eyes and her hair up in a ponytail behind her.

She was standing atop one of those tall buildings, not too far from where that siren starts to erupt. Coincidence? Or maybe just a stroke of luck.. But she doesn't hesitate, hands pressing to the ground and then she starts flying over to the area, making full use of those vibrational powers..

"Just my luck..." She murmurs to herself, spotting the various trucks leaving the grounds. She makes way to the one that is leaving through the fence and lets herself drop on top of it, landing with a slight *clunk*.

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto was down in NYC to introduce Steph to his mechanic and then get a little driving in. The mechanic part had been dealt with and now Berto and Steph were driving down by the docks... okay they may be racing down at the docks, but same thing right?

Berto drifts a corner, only barely coming up on the curb when he hears the sound of the alarm and trucks.

He had a call going with Steph as they raced so he says towards his phone mounted on his dashboard. "Feel like some heroic snooping?" he asks turning towards the noise.

Stephanie Brown has posed:
The used compact car that Roberto da Costa had bought for Stephanie Brown needed a lot of work. Even if it was just going to be reliable transportation it was going to need some work. But with the intent being that the car would one day be used in an underground racing circuit that Roberto had come in contact with, it needed a LOT of work.

Stephanie had seen a mechanic in Gotham who got it road safe enough for the trip up to New York where Roberto knew a guy. A guy who could jazz the car up to the levels if would need to be for what they had in mind.

She'd also brought her costume, intending to look into a few things Gotham-related that might have New York connections if she had time. Though it looks like she doesn't have that time now, bringing the costume and wearing it under her clothing is turning out to be a good move.

"Do I ever /not/ feel like heroic snooping?" she replies. She pulls out her Batfamily comms but turns off the connection to their network and instead routes her phone through it. The purple compact darts around a corner in a crisp turn. "This thing corners really well," she says of the small car with the low center of gravity. She follows behind Roberto, rolling down her window partway to better hear the siren.

Kate Bishop has posed:
Hawkeye notices the figure dropping down onto the truck, armored, and the real question Kate thinks right now is whether or not that figure truck surfing is with the people stealing that ACME Chemicals truck.

She steadies her bike long enough to reach down pick up something that looks like a gun, it isn't, but she does one handed fire off a projectile that embeds in the bumper of the truck. Adding it's location to her HUD in case somehow she loses it.

In the meantime though she just keeps her eyes on the truck surfer and the truck, trying to keep her bike in the truck's blindspot.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
As Daisy drops atop the truck she may or may not be heard but ..., she has other worries right now. And one of them is staying atop that truck without falling. She drops down to one knee immediately, pressing her hands to the ground as they continue down the street...

As some measure of balance is finally found she sighs to herself. "Daredevil makes this seem a lot more easy than it is..." and she finally focuses, expanding her senses, feeling those vibrations within the truck, trying to discern exactly how many enemies there may be in there to face off against..

She has noted the bike on pursuit as she was landing but right now ..., little chance of communicating or coordinating efforts.

Roberto da Costa has posed:
"Hope you've got your gear," Roberto calls to Steph. "We might need to change in a hurry, actually, I already did," he says activating his powers so it was no longer Roberto da Costa devastatingly handsome scion of the billionaire da Costa family behind the wheel of his car but a black skinned humanoid shape surrounded by a burning corona of light.

As he rounds a corner he spots a truck, one with someone on top of it and a bike behind. "Well looks like we've got a crowd," he calls back to Steph as he speeds up to pull even with the bike, shouting over the engine noise, "Pardon me, but do you have any Grey Poupon?" So he watched Wayne's World again last week, so sue him.

Stephanie Brown has posed:
Over the phone call, Stephanie says, "Had it on under my clothes. Was planning to look into a thing with a guy at a place before I drove back tonight." The two cars whip around a corner and the truck driving at speeds vastly exceeding NYC standards quickly stands out.

"Ugh, chemical truck," Stephanie says as she gets to a spot she can read the side of it. She stays behind the other car as it pulls up alongside the bike. "Ask him if that's a quiver of arrows on his back, would you?" she says to Roberto. Driving at the higher speeds and not quite up close, she can't quite make out yet that it's not a 'him'. "I always thought that would be a great angle. But no. We throw animal-shaped pieces of metal."

She glances behind her to see if any other cars are coming up behind her. "Could really use an autopilot about now. Debating trying to get ahead of it so I can bail and swing over?" She glances at the surrounding area, trying to judge how dangerous it might be to the public, roaring down the streets at an even higher speed to get ahead.

Wilson Fisk has posed:
The other two trucks are flying off into the night, heading to different locations or on different routes.

But that one heading north is driving along the side of the river, as moves quickly, dropping into an empty underpass, as it is moving quicker now, the guys inside not yet noticing, as they are flying towards a large metal grate, as it slams into it wrecking it, as they are now under the city hauling ass, as they are look back now.

Kate Bishop has posed:
The purple helmeted mortorcyclist looks sidelong and manages to not double take at the sight of the gentleman transformed like that and driving an expensive car. "No... am I going to have to shoot you or are you here to stop the truck?" is yelled back muffled by the helmet.

It is definitely a young woman though, and yes there is definitely a quiver on her back and a bow in what almost looks like a holster there on the bike's side.

"Hold that thought." and the young woman leans forward and revs the bike really hard now racing ahead away from Roberto and trying to pull past the cab of the truck and get out in front of it. Which may or may not alarm the criminals as a purple bike and rider roar past them.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
As the truck just bashes through that gate at high speed while Daisy is still trying to have a read of how many people are inside she is caught by surprise.. She is tossed to the side, almost falling over but catching herself with one hand, now dangling precariously down the side of the truck. "Damn it..!" she mutters.

Eyes go over to the side at the car and bike that are rushing past and she reaches up with her other hand, trying to keep herself steady atop it..

Or jump to either the car or bike if they come close enough to give her a ride!

Roberto da Costa has posed:
"Autopilot, that's a good idea," Roberto says before he catches up with Kate. He gives the archer a smile, which in his current state looks to be made of molten light. "I'd prefer not to be shot, so, gonna say I'm here to stop the truck." Though as Kate drives on forward he just says, "Kay," giving a little wave before he goes back to the call with Steph.

Definitely pull up your mask, got friendlies, or what I hope are friendlies all over the place right now. "As for me?" he pulls his phone off it's mounting and tucks it into his pocket before clearing Steph's path and then slamming on the breaks. Tires squeal, filling the air with smoke and the smell of burnt rubber, but when the car stops half up on the sidewalk Roberto bursts out of it and takes to the air, seemingly flying under his own power.

Stephanie Brown has posed:
"Oh, and tell him, that's a great shade of purple," Stephanie says, still not having seen clearly enough the gender of the archer on the bike. She already has her phone in a pouch in her belt, the sound going through her comms earbud.

"Crap, underground, that makes swinging tough," she says as the compact bounces as it goes over a little rise before dropping into the covered roads. "Ok, maybe we should just-" she's starting to say when suddenly Roberto's car seems to hurtle past her to the side as he hits the brakes and she flies past.

"-have you fly us." She finishes. "Wow. Did we reach 'finish each other's sentences' point already?" she says. The brake lights of the purple compact come on, the car sliding sideways slightly as she adds in the hand brake to stop the car quickly.

She's already pulling her mask up as she steps out of the car, lifting her arms so Roberto can grab her about the waist and leave arms free. You know. To throw animal-shaped pieces of metal and stuff.

Wilson Fisk has posed:
The truck stops now! In the middle of a large room, by the docks. It seems they are waiting for something, as they look at the coming would-be heroes. They are pilling out of the truck, moving behind it for cover, lots of guns, and 6 guys.

It is a perfect spot for a pickup or an ambush, only time will answer which one. A large man stepping forward with a skull-shaped mask screams out behind the truck."Get outta here, aint' nothing for ya here but death, let's do this easy as pie, you turn around we go. Aint' no-one getting hurt den, scanner?"

Kate Bishop has posed:
Kate was forced with the whole going underground to fall back a bit and maintains her pace on the bike behind the truck. Not enough room to get ahead of it under the city like this. "Well. Under the city is either infinitely more or less dangerous than the chemical truck having an accident above the city...."

She sighs, she had hoped to maybe blow the engine block and stop things in an advantagous spot for the good guys, but that is not about to happen it seems. With her fears confirmed as the truck comes to a stop in a large room and all sorts of armored and armored men pile out and into cover.

I mean she doesn't head the shouting about getting out of here, instead she shifts her weight on her bike and insead of slowing down completely she angles right for one of the men and their cover. Dropping the bike into a slide she lets it continue past the bad guy's spot of cover even as she leaps off with her bow in hand and tries to make that spot of cover her own against the gunmen in the room.

Using the bow like a nigh industructable staff to thwak said claimant of cover.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
With some effort Daisy pushes herself back up atop the truck from the dangling position on the side ..., just to find it stopping ahead.. She jumps immediately to the side and rolls on the ground to find cover behind a large truck. Nope, wouldn't be good to be skewered by bullets and whatever other weapons they may have if this is some kind of ambush..

But as the bike comes rushing in and sliding to take the cover she comes out running to help.. Not exactly attacking just yet but instead pushing with her powers to give Kate some cover from fire by creating a vibrational shield near her..

And trying to take advantage of the confusion that is being created she runs around to flank on those thugs.

"What is it with thugs and their obsession with death? And really, drop the skulls.. You are no punisher.."

Roberto da Costa has posed:
"Oh of course they go inside when I start to fly," Roberto says as he drops down just ahead of Spoiler to provide some cover, though when Kate makes her move, Roberto backs her play, firing out some concussive blasts to provide a bit of coverfire until Kate's secured the position she was trying to take.

Stephanie Brown has posed:
The truck stops just ahead, the aerial insertion no long needed. So Spoiler hoofs it the rest of the way, her cape flying behind her as her tennis shoes - Ok she didn't have time to change into her boots! - make up the distance between where she stopped the car and the large room that the chemical thieves has stopped in.

As she enters the area, one hand pulls a small yellow baton from her belt to have it at the ready. "No way you're getting out of here guys. Best to just set down any weapons and get ready to call your lawyers," she calls out.

Wilson Fisk has posed:
An eruption of gunfire towards them is the responding to all that boasting, shotgun blast twice, reloading. SMGs, two pistols, rifle, they are firing quick, as one of the large looks behind them yelling to the rest."I see, the ship holds them at bay, I'll start the unload!"

In the distance, a spotlight is beaming into the little area, blinding everyone not behind the truck, or with amazing abilities.

Kate Bishop has posed:
Kate gives the guy whose cover she took another lovetap, or two. It is more a sweep of the legs thing and then a couple hard 'taps' to the skull.

She does note the whole ... bullets seem deterred and fly off course there thing going on. Admittedly she isn't entirely sure though why that is happening.

This is the time though to actually use her bow as a bow and not as a glorified thumping stick though. So while her helmet does compensate for the blinding light, it is super annoying. She reaches back and by memory draws an arrow from her quiver then pops up and fires it in a long arc, sending it whistling through the air now.

Not too very much long after it is loosed there is a pop/crash noise and the spotlight goes out.

Kate doesn't stay up as a target though, popping back down and drawing two more arrows for her next move.

Wilson Fisk has posed:
In the distance, you a huge black painted ship. It is sailing towards this spot, as the spotlight shatters now you can see many armed men; the flag is not normally seen in the united states. It is a group of Somali pirates/terrorists dealing with weapons, human trafficking, just plain old bad dudes.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Damn that sudden light... It makes Daisy bring one arm up to cover her eyes momentarily. At least until Kate breaks it with that precise bow shooting. "Pirates. Don't think they are the surrendering type.." this she says over her shoulder at Spoiler while she runs forward..

She finally reaches the mayhem, jumping in to go head to head with the skullmasked guy. She dodges a fist to the head, takes another to the chin that makes her stagger back with a growl and then she extends one hand, sending the man flying with a concussive blast..

Yes, no playing fair..

"Might need some cover fire from those pirates!" she calls out to the flying 'sun'. She has seen him firing those blasts afterall!

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Roberto glances back to Steph. "Watch yourself out there, babe," before he takes to the air flying towards the ship, he keeps low to the water to make it harder for them to shoot at him, his light reflecting off the water. Once he's in range, he gathers up his energy and lets it out in a blast like a 20 ton punch to the hull of that ship.

"Ahoy there maties, I've got more where that came from so if you want to jump overboard nows the time, otherwise I'm gonna make you walk the plank whether you want it or not." A beat. "Which okay is the same thing but whatever, point is give up!" though as he's shouting from a distance, who knows how much of what he says is heard or understood.

Wilson Fisk has posed:
The sound of a rocket being launched can be heard from the ship aimed towards the one flying towards them, as the ship is put into reverse as it is leaving behind the others, leaving them to the mercy of the heroes, but the pirates are fleeing quickly, out of the port.

Stephanie Brown has posed:
Spoiler waves to Sunspot. "Give 'em hell!" she calls back, but if she wanted to say more, it's lost in the sound of gunfire!

As the guns swing over and start to open up, Spoiler tosses out a handful of pellets amongst the gunmen and then flips to the side to avoid the hail of bullets. The flash-bang pellets go off as the hit the ground, bright lights and disorienting noise disrupting their aim, sometimes cause weapons to fire up into the ceiling as a man here or there flails at the sudden concussive explosions.

One goon who is further from the small blasts drops the magazine out of his gun as he reloads. "Nothing but a grave for you here, toots! Go back to Gotham!" he yells.

Spoiler, who is chronically unrecognized even her own city pauses just briefly, eyes shining with excitement towards the man. "You recognize me!" she says in a happy voice. "Thank you!" RIght before whipping a blunt-edged batarang right at the man's forehead. More pellets are thrown, sending up a cloud of smoke around herself and the nearest gunmen.

Wilson Fisk has posed:
The blast is slamming into the reinforced hull with a solid thud of sound, that sounds like one more, and it will be taking on water, quickly.

Kate Bishop has posed:
"Well. Sparkler boy is definitely very... very effective...." she notesd with amusement.

She shifts from behind her cover and fires the two arrows she had in hand in very rapid fire succession now, into two of the gunmen that are not dealing with Spoiler. She is pretty sure whatever Daisy is over there doing with ol skull and bones can probably ...well unless she calls for help she has it right.

So yeah she plants two arrows, which erupt like tasers when they hit ZZZZZZZZT.

"Lets see... one I love tapped.. two tazered... the hooded one over there threw something into one of their heads... so.. three to go and skully."

Wilson Fisk has posed:
Unless of course, fear siezes the mind as the goons drop down now hands behind their head, some of them are from gotham and they know when to quit. Before broken bones, or hospitals, they are waiting for the heroes now.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Right?" Daisy replies to Kate with a brief chuckle. Always good to have a flying blaster around! Who apparently now thinks they are a pirate. A glance towards Spoiler. "Hey, he isn't going to run off to become a pirate now, is he?" she quips. Because yes, it's needed while delivering the ass-kicking! Specially when those thugs surrender, so there's no need for a second round with skull and bones.. She approaches, reaching down to get him up to a sitting position and to take that mask off.

"Alright, speak up. What did you guys steal?" she asks. "And who are you selling it to?" her tone having shifted from the amused quipping to the other vigilantes to a rather more serious, threatening one. SHIELD is good in training agents for interrogation afterall!

Wilson Fisk has posed:
No a peep from them as ethey watch Daisy, with a shake of thier heads, the one in the front."Call the cops, we ain' talking, he is scary than any of ya."

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Berto can hear that ship creak after that concussive blast. He's not trying to put on a live reenactment of Titanic here, so, he holds off with a second one, diving low, and firing a less powered blow at the rear of the ship hoping to stop its engine as begins to turn and flee. PS. Rose totally had room on that door. Just saying.

Roberto lands himself on the deck, looking around, "Hey, guys," he calls to the pirates. "Forgive me if this is usually your line, but look at me, look at me, I'm the captain now," he says before grabbing the nearest crew member and lifting in in the air by his shirt. "Got it?"

Wilson Fisk has posed:
"Your just a do-gooder, the man that is pulling the strings. Aint' the type you betary or mess with okay. Do whatever, break our bones, bat us." The voice is very gotham city, as the man looks at them with a shake of his head."I aint' talking, about the Kingpin."

Stephanie Brown has posed:
Spoiler's batarang bounces off the noggin of the guy who recognized her, taking him down and contributing to the others giving up. She turns to check on the progress of Sunspot, giving a little relieved sigh to see he's well. Knowing he can take care of himself, and seeing him do it in the face of gunfire and rockets can be a slightly different matter in their first fight together!

She turns back then and begins zip-tying the men's hands beside their backs, making quick weapons searches before moving on to the next ones. "Might as well tell us what's in the truck," she says to one of them. "If it's something harmful and people get hurt before the authorities come for it, it's just going to go harder on you."

The mention of a kingpin is noted, but Spoiler doesn't say more, hoping more might slip from him if it's not pointed out too noticeably.

Wilson Fisk has posed:
"Open it up and find out do godder, I aint' talk again." The lead man is doing the talking the others are silent as the grave, as he looks around at them ziped tied on his knees. As one of them opens his mouth, nothing in there, no tongue, the next as well."Dem, failed him and they got to work, but they aint' got loose lips no more, I ain't going the same way."

Kate Bishop has posed:
The archer keeps one arrow nocked, bow now drawn though, as she walks around giving Spoiler cover as she cinches them up for the cops as it were.

"So... I mean fine?" skeptical about this. "Kingpin huh." she will walk over to the back of the truck and gives a little hop to grab the doors lever and starts to swing it open to see what is inside.

Ready just in case it is something like an idiot with a mini-gun.

Wilson Fisk has posed:
Just boxes of chemicals, a list hanging by the door.

Tear Gas

Gas bullets

Riot Gear

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Daisy isn't about to go full interrogation mode on these guys out here even if she does frown under the mask. Kingpin brings her to arch a brow but she also doesn't say nothing of the name, just casting a look at the various others here to look for any signal of recognition.

"Maybe you will be feeling differently after a time in prison." She says, letting to go to also tie him up on ankles and hands so he can wait for the police while taking a little nap.

"What did you find back there?" She asks the bow-carrying vigilante even as her gaze strays to the distance where apparently there seems to be a new 'captain'.

Roberto da Costa has posed:
Turns out Roberto really is the captain now as the boat surrenders to him. Wielding his new found captainly might, he orders the engines shut down and then concussive blasts the controls. "Stay put, or it'll be forty lashes on the poop deck," he says before adding after a beat, "Wow. Phrasing." Then he grabs his captured crewman and takes off back to shore, rejoining the other. "I am now to be addressed as the Dread Pirate Sunspot," he tells them. "That is all." He drops the crewman down at his feet.

Stephanie Brown has posed:
The purple and black clad Spoiler flashes a grin to Hawkeye as the other woman covers her while Spoiler binds the hoodlums. "Great color scheme there," she tells Kate, flashing a wink towards her.

After she moves over to look into the back of the truck from the ground, waiting to hear what Kate found. "You ok out there on the boat? I don't think you can waterski behind that one," Spoiler says towards Roberto over the phone conversation they've left live. "Though that whole thing fishing for sharks thing, don't think you'll need a bigger boat for that one," she adds. After a pause. "Actually... just remembering the giant Lobster Queen thing we fought with Aquaman and Wonder Woman. Bigger boats always a good thing."

Wilson Fisk has posed:
It is no longer before police arrive to book them, arresting pirates and criminals. But the other stolen trucks are never found. Four days later, all of them are let go, no charges able to stick. Whoever is pulling strings seems to have leverage in all the right spots; this Kingpin might be trouble.
