Christine Lake has posed:
Christine bite her lip some as she stands outside the door to Dr. MacIntyre's office. There's a lot of things about Happy Harbor that are confusing to her or at odds with her, and she's hoping that talking with the Doctor can help her make sense of it all. Taking a deep breath, she gently raps on the office door."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"It's open." Morrigan calls. She's generally not in on Saturday's, but she's in today. There's a pile of files on her desk and she's seated behind it working on her laptop as she goes through things.

Christine Lake has posed:
Christine opens the door and steps inside. "Doctor MacIntyre?" She shuts the door behind her and heads over to a chair in front of the desk, taking a seat. "Hi. I...I know that I'm new here and...and I'm really happy for the opportunity of this school. But...I have some questions. I know that there's both normal students and students...like me, here. And I understand the reason to keep things secret and secure. I guess I'm just wondering...can we talk to the other students about our abilities? I mean, not talk about the purpose of this school, but just say that 'Yes, I have powers'? I don't want to disturb anything or 'out' anyone, I just...I just need people my own age to talk to about stuff. Do you kind of understand?"

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"Have a seat." Morrigan states as she gives a nod to Christine. She listens to her and there's a bit of moment where she listens to things. "You mean tell the other students with abilities that you have abilities?" she asks her. Then she settles back in her chair, "It's really hard trying to juggle most of that stuff." she admits. "If you assume someone has powers and you tell them you have powers...and then they don't. They are going to look at you funny." she states. "I'm sure that if you guys find out and speak about it in private." she states.

Christine Lake has posed:
Christine looks visibly more relaxed. "Okay. I mean...I don't mind telling others that I'm a mutant. And I don't want to make others feel they have to tell me. I just...I just want friends that I can talk to about stuff; friends who understand some of the 'special' things I'm dealing with. So...thank you for the permission." She breaths a sigh of relief, then gets to the next part. "If I may ask...why don't the powered students know who each other are? I mean, I can understand some want total privacy, and they could be on like a 'do not contact' list? But I can't be the only one here wanting to talk to students with powers, can I? Just speaking for myself, it's kind of lonely. And isolating. And...maddening. You see something out of the ordinary with someone and you wonder if you should talk to them or if maybe you just imagined it..."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"Because everyone is entitled to their privacy." Morrigan states. "And to be honest, not everyone uses their powers and those that continue to we've already tried to speak to them." she admits. "I'm not going to restrict anyone from talking to people. That's not our intention, but I've not thought about putting all of the powered students on a list by themselves in case of a data breach or things of that nature." she admits. "But, I can understand what you are saying. I will see about getting a list together and if that can be alright with the higher ups." she smiles to that.

Christine Lake has posed:
"Thank you," Christine says with a smile. "And if you do make up a list, I'm fine with talking with other students and them knowing about my powers. You're right that everyone has a right to privacy, and I wouldn't want to infring on that. I was just trying to say that there should be an opt-in for those of us that are comfortable with having others know. Thank you, and I hope I wasn't a bother about this. It's just...something I've been struggling with. I'm making friends here, and I don't like keeping secrets from them."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a dip of her head to that, "I'm thinking we might call an assembly for those with powers to attend privately if they like and people can meet others. Completely voluntary." she states. "And sure, your idea makes sense on that. I'm sure there are others that want to be known by others." she smiles. "And no, you're not a bother." she tells her. "None of you guys are a bother." she admits. "My job is to help you guys find your way and I am going to do that." she smiles. "And I know what you mean about secrets. It can hurt so many relationships." she frowns.

Christine Lake has posed:
Christine nods. "Well, thank you again. I'd better get going now. It looks like you';ve got a lot of papers to go through." She stands up turning to take her leave. "Oh! one more thing. It's, like, totally minor. But I think Mr. Star's appearance last night sort of...dazzeled some of the students. I mean, I get what Mr. Stark was saying, but I guess Alton really thinks that he's going to arrange for Captain America to make an appearance here?" She sighs and shrugs. "Like I said, really minor. Just...Alton's really got his hopes up about that. And I thought you'd like to know. Anyways, good-bye."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"It's no problem." Morrigan tells her. "And Mister Stark was here as he's a guest teacher and he has ties to the school...I don't think Captain America is ever going to be here." she sighs softly. "But he might. I' not sure. Mister Stark might be able to pull some strings. But Alton might be disappointed, so I'll head that off." she nods to that. "Have a good day and if you need anything else the door is always open." she smiles to that.
