Synopsis: Donatello teaches Casey Jones about Warcraft and the two set out to wire up the Jones Farm!
Cast of Characters: Donatello, Casey Jones

Donatello has posed:
The Turtle Lair was unremarkably quiet today. Donatello had been spending the morning at his computer. Instead of the screens being consumed with code flying by, the tell-tale signs of the MIYAGI AI being worked on, it would appear that he's playing a video game.

"How did April get that epic mount..." he murmurs to himself, leaning towards the screen a bit to get a closer look at a pretend animal that a pretend person is pretending to ride around on in a pretend world.

Donatello seems good, all things considered. He looks well-rested, at ease, and generally much better than he has in a couple of weeks. His workspace had been straightened up and is totally free of the clutter of empty energy drink cans. The castle that had formed was gone.

Casey Jones has posed:
Casey is coming to the lair, he is heading out tonight but wanted to see his brothers. His hand is resting on the strap of the leather backpack, no mask, no weapons, just a sack of parts for Donnie."Hey brother, whatcha doing? That looks fun as hell." As he walks forward, dropping that gear by the pit of junk for Donnie.

"Now then it seems, ya are the only here. I'm heading up tonight to the farm. Aint' got no power, wanted to ask you if might be willing to sneak on up, help me get it wired and stuff." Casey, as he exhales slowly into the air, his voice sounds sane, as his hand is resting on the now clean desk, as he grins at the screen."Now, that looks like a fun little horse?"

Donatello has posed:
Unannounced, sure, but not unnoticed. Casey Jones had a snowball's chance in Hell of sneaking in on the Turtles. It's just, Donatello's attention was elsewhere, but that didn't mean he wasn't aware of their visitor.

"It's not a horse, Casey," Donnie replies, his eyes closing tightly for a moment. "It's a super rare epic mount -- only like three hundred players have it."

The turtle opens his eyes and stares at the screen. "And I think April has it," he adds, pointing at the screen. The 'and I don't!' is unsaid, but implied.

Donnie turns his head, finally, to look at Casey Jones. "Yeah, sure, Casey," he answers, nodding his head a bit. "Whatever you need -- as long as the power company has a pole out there, we should be able to."

Donatello turns towards a corner of his work area -- a metal shelf with boxes and boxes of technical nonsense. There's a spool of heavy-duty mains wiring. He did it for the Turtle Lair. A farm should be no problem.

"Hundred and fifty amps, okay?" he asks as he turns to face the screen again, frowning at the epic mount -- the horse -- that he does not possess.

Casey Jones has posed:
"Wait April plays dis game with ya; I wanna learn it and stuff. I wanna do more stuff with Apes." Casey nods slowly as he looks at the screen, studying it for a moment, his teeth biting his lip."I'm mean I play a mean game of Bad Dudes, and beat Battletoads, and all the double dragons, dat means this should be simple rights?"

Casey nods slowly as he looks over at the screen with a little grin, as he looks over at Donnie. "I mean, never played much PC, stuff, but I rock my NES and my Sega. Classic for life, bro!" His hand is making a rock and roll sign as he bangs his head those long locks, throwing up and down as he headbangs.

Donatello has posed:
Donatello's brow rises and a grin forms. "Well!" he declares, sliding his chair out from the desk and standing up. He spins it around as an offer to Casey. "Take it for a spin! I can teach you!"

Donnie bends forward and clicks the mouse a couple of times. Uh huh. Log out. Create character.

Casey's description of the games he's beaten earn a slight frown from Donnie -- especially Battletoads. Rude. But, the turtle takes a couple of steps from the computer to pick up a small handheld device from his workbench. Clutching it between his hands, Donnie returns to display a scratched up SEGA Game Gear! He holds it delicately, letting his thumb run over the buttons.

"Like this?" he wonders, looking down at the device with a certain fondness. He looks up at Casey, a smile splashed across his face. "I got this as a gift."

Casey Jones has posed:
Casey sits down watching it all; he is looking over the classes as he clicks on orc. Starting to make his looks big, burly, dumb is the look with long purple hair and mohawk with two large tusks; the left one is cracked."I like dis dude, calling him AngryFistyDoom." As he reaches over to slowly type the name in as he selects the classes, he is clicking on hunter, as he grins slowly."Dat' looks cool says ya get traps and pets, I liked dat idea. Is it a good class ya know, helpful and justice and shit."

He looks over at Donnie, as he is bringing up the game gear, with a wild nodding of his head."That is something I loved as a kid. Too many batteries, so pops, stoped buying em, so I never got to play it after the third month, got ours at the goodwill." There is sadness in his voice as he turns away from Donnie to stare at the screen, his teeth biting his lower lip, as he thinks for a moment."......mmmmm.....so now what?"

Casey's hands resting on the keyboard, on the number pad, nothing near the WASD, such bad gaming poster, his hand is rubbing the back of his head, nowhere near the mouse, this is going to be damn work.

Donatello has posed:
Donatello looks down, taking note of Casey's hands -- one at the numpad and one completely, totally, not even touching the mouse. The turtle slowly fills his lungs with air and lets it out. Ever just totally regret something immediately?

"Uh, well," he begins. "They're all good. It depends on what you want to do. The hunters don't really do anything, though -- their pets do the work." Donatello reaches up and scratches his chin. "I have you pegged as a Warrior."

With that said, Donnie doesn't press the issue. He does, however, reach a three-fingered hand out and gently uses Casey's wrist to move his hand from the numpad to the WASD keys. The turtle then picks up the mouse and places it into Casey's hand, grinning.

Casey Jones has posed:
The hand is moved as Casey nods slowly, as looks over at Don with a little chuckle."Aint' fun if ya like play yourself in a game, Donnie, I mean I do warrior it's like me in real life swinging, rage, all dat stuff. I'm trying not to be; maybe if I play something that makes me think, it'll be like good training or somthang." His hand is moving the mouse now to click on the start button, as he watches the opening movie, his eyes locked on to screen."So much cooler than are ya a bad enough dude to save the president." It seems Casey has long ago lost the knowledge of video games, as he has not played since childhood, or maybe to be more accurate yet to buy a new game.

The start area pops up, as he tries to walk, he is doing okay, getting used to the keys, as he learns slowly as he bites his lower lip, as he walks towards the dude with ! point, over his head."How, do I talk to this dude?"

Donatello has posed:
"Click him," Donatello tries to explain, but it's that kind of technical instruction that leaves out certain key details -- like move the cursor over to the person, or whether to use the left or right mouse button. It's details like that that others take for granted. As he watches Casey struggle, Donnie reaches a hand out, as if to take the mouse, but pulls it back.

Casey's description of whether to play yourself in a fantasy world earns a slight tilt of the head from the turtle. Donatello's character was a Pandaren Monk -- an anthropomorphic animal who does martial arts. In fact, his weapon was a staff. His mount, humorously, was a turtle. Donnie remains silent on this point.

As the tutorial starts to add action buttons to the bar at the bottom of the screen, Donatello watches with his brow high. This is going to get much more involved, very, very quickly. He looks around to see what items within Casey's reach were valuable and breakable.

Casey Jones has posed:
Casey is fighting the first mobs, he is not doing bad, using 1 2 3 2 1, after dying a few times, he is not mad, he is not losing his shit. He is focused, quiet now as his lip is nibbling the bottom of his lip."Okay, now man I wanna get a computer thang, and like this game for the farm.......It's boring up der, and I wanna play this with both of ya."

Casey spins around in his car, with a smile up at Donnie."I mean, I assume like I need my own copy to play with ya, or something, right?" His eyes closing now as he takes a deep breath, trying to keep his thoughts right and he is struggling to stay here, his hand is rubbing along his eyes slowly."Cause, I likes it and but, yeah and I need to get my supplies and stuff for this trip, aint' got much holding me here right now, finished the last of the cars bro, and tomorrow picking up cows and chickens for the farm, going to try my hand it for a bit bro, going to come up and down from the city a few days a week for a bit, and yeah uncle set up some sort of internet, with like wireless or somethang up there, just I guess the power went out 4 months back, aint' nobody been by to fix it. Talked to Cuz last night, the farm is like abandon and shit."

Donatello has posed:
With a barely audible sigh, Donnie reaches out to take control of the mouse and the left side of the keyboard. He moves Casey's character into an Inn and then logs him out -- no sense wasting all those free experience points!

"Alright," Donnie replies, bringing his hand up to his chin. "So, if it had power once, then there must be service to the area." He quirks his brow, slightly, and gives Casey a look. "Can't do anything unless there's service," he adds, to explain.

Donatello carefully sets the Game Gear down and walks over to the metal shelves with the spooled wire. He reaches out to begin fumbling through the hodgepodge of items. "Should be able to do a hundred fifty amps with this," he declares before turning around, holding a spool of cable.

Casey Jones has posed:
"Good stuff, man, really fun and yeah, I don't know I aint' been out there yet, wanna ride me throw that in the back. I mean it's a drive, but it's mostly quiet, if we do it dressed ya up good, at night most aint' looking out that way, take my truck." Casey nods slowly as he picks up the parts, setting it down next to the shelf, as he digs into his pocket, offering his keys to Donnie."If ya need anythang from the shop, let ya self in, I got four cars ya can raid for parts if needed, and stuff, bro."

His hand is running over the back of his neck, as he picks up the wire looking it over, with a wicked chuckle."Dat's weird, that something so small, powers dis city aint' it, shows ya like how fragile it all be or something ya know. That with a strong wind, or like something small it all can go like tits' up or so shit right." As he grins at Donnie, with a wicked little laugh and shake of his head, as his teeth bite his lower lip again."I mean, I aint' got a laptop or anythang, should I hit up BestBuy?"

Donatello has posed:
The romex mains cable is fairly thick, as far as cables go, and Donnie holds the large spool with both hands. But, Casey's right -- the inch or so wide cable provides so much utility to the human world despite its small size. The turtle nods his head. "Yeah, well, electricity is important. Except for when it's not," Donatello replies, cryptically. He watches Casey, his eyes squinting slightly. Was Casey referring to the black outs Donnie caused in the jewelry district last night? Did he somehow know? Was Casey Jones...clever? Don't be ridiculous, Donnie.

Donatello pushes the spool out for Casey to take. "Yeah, well, it should be fairly simple to wire up your farm. Probably just a broken cable, somewhere," he adds with a nod.

But that question hangs in the air. Should Casey hit up Best Buy? Donnie hrms, reaching up to his chin again, and turns to look at his shelf of parts. He steps over there and begins rummaging. Not good enough. The turtle turns to look at the computer systems currently running over on his desk. Miyagi had claimed the last of his extra parts.

"You know, Casey," Donnie begins. "I'm not an expert on girls, not by a long shot, but maybe it would just be better if you brought up Warcraft to April, show some interest, instead of going out to buy a laptop?" he suggests. It's a subtle way of saying that he didn't have the extra parts to set Casey up with a computer.

Casey Jones has posed:
"Once I get up there man, ain't nothing to do, and I'll buy one and then ask, ya know and no reason for two long trips, but yeah, I'll pick one up and stuff. Write down, the one I want gimmie three options, ya good at this tech blah...." Casey nods slowly as he looks over at Donnie with a knowing wink."Ya you do know about girls, learning more, and I hope it's going, good bro." His voice is low, as he whispers, looking around for Leo, as his secret is safe with him, yep yep.

With that Casey sighs softly, his hand is rubbing along his chin slowly."Also, wanna try out dis night of forts thang, these kids told me about it shooter or somethang sounds fun. Also, my cuz wants me to play this damn blackout thang with him, or some shit. People wanna chill on the digital now with the Casey!" His voice booms out so proud of himself, as he grins at Donnie his hand is clapping the turtle on the shoulder."I got to get with the times or some shit, it's also a way to listen to her podcast more ya know, I like speakers my phone sucks for sound!"

Donatello has posed:
Donatello squints, trying to make sense of Casey's unusual speech patterns. He gets the gist. Give him three different computer models to look at. Sure, he can do that. But then, Casey's subtle hinting about Donatello and his knowledge of girls earns a wide-eyed expression from the turtle. "Leo knows," he replies simply, having caught Casey's attempts at secrecy.

Donnie moves towards the metal shelf once again and rummages through one of the boxes. From there, he pulls out some more electronic odds-and-ends -- the kind of things that would be needed to fix up the Jones Farm. Suddenly, Donnie gets an idea!

He moves to another corner, one where a few boxes have been stacked, and starts to rearrange them so that he can take one that's a couple down from the top. The turtle turns, holding the box in his hands. On the side are the words NOT FOR RESALE. He holds the box out for Casey. Inside are nine bottles of cologne with an empty spot for a tenth. Donnie waggles his brow -- really an eye ridge -- up and down.

Casey Jones has posed:
"Cool, what he say is he cool with it?" Casey watches him as he hears the news, as he starts to look over at the stuff, his eyes moving over the lair. His hand is brushing his hair back slowly, as his teeth finding his bottom lip, nibbling it slowly as he nods his head again."Cool, ya look good to go, and stuff, and I got the crawl hole in the truck if ya wanna use it?"

Casey's eyes watching as he brings out the box, as he peers into it with a shake of his head, as he grins at Donnie."Nah, bro I like smelling like me and shit, it's my manly musk ya know. I work out, and I play sports, and now own a farm. I like dat all-natural smell, of soap and like shit, it's cool.....but ya got enough here to like have a lifetime supplies and shit." With that he waves his hand around the place, with a nodding of his head, as he thinks for a moment."But, yeah that for ya and dates with the gal, also ya aint' told me about her yet. Wanna, do that on dat drive on over?"

Donatello has posed:
Donatello's eye ridge falls. The turtle sighs and turns around to put the box back into its hiding spot. He was so sure he was going to be able to offload this putrid stuff. It most certainly was not going back onto Donatello's skin ever again. The turtle turns around and brushes his hands off, one with the other. "Alright, well, I'm pretty sure April said she liked it," Donnie answers with a shrug. It's true -- that's what she SAID. Is it what she meant? Who knows.

"Leo is...fine with it, I think," Donnie answers, taking a breath. "That's what he said, anyway." There are still some details that make this complicated, but Donnie doesn't mention them.

Donatello reaches out to take back the spool of romex and begins to head towards the exit of the Lair. Did he want to tell Casey about his love life on the way over to the farm?

"Not really," he answers with a smirk.

Casey Jones has posed:
"Okay, best buy and then the farm, let's go Donnie. We will talk about dis game on the way then, and I'll ask April about it before I log into it or somethang." Casey leads the turtle to the truck outside, as he climbs in slowly with a little chuckle, as his hand is rubbing the back of his neck, as he thinks for a moment. His teeth biting his bottom lip as he thinks for a moment, as his eyes closing doing math."How much a gaming rig go for anyways, bro?"
