Date of Scene: 25 September 2020
Location: Turtle Lair
Synopsis: Mickey Leo Casey talk of the fine points of real gaming.
Cast of Characters: Casey Jones, Leonardo, Michelangelo

Casey Jones has posed:
The sound of heavy feet running, as Casey leaps into the lair with a best buy bag between his teeth, due to the three boxes of pizzas in his arms."GDHHOEIEDJSJIEITSGHOTS!" The words mumbled, around the bag, as he leaps forward, placing the pizza down on the makeshift table, as he starts to dance around the lair. His hand is high in the air, the bag still in his mouth, as he yells out."DONFNNSDINDI IDGGRFODGRITS BRO!"

As he removes the bag now, to set it down on the workshop bench, as he grins."When I went, they got all like sold out, of those models ya told me to buy Donnnie!" His voice is loud as he grins around the lair. He knows someone is here; maybe it's don maybe it's not aint' matter to him excited. I got on the farm, got powered up thanx, ya again for that, and they called mes, so after I dropped ya, before I took off like Bat Outta Hell! Damn, that's a good album, I need to download it. How do I download stuff?"I got that laptop, thang to play World of stuff, with ya and apes!"

He is quiet now, as he looks around waiting for Donnie to come out as he bites his lower lip as he walks over to the pizza, flipping it grabbing a slice of that delicious meat lovers, cramming it right into his fat maw. CHEW CHEW CHEW LOUDLY, as he burps as he finishes it, pulling out a monster out of his backpack, drinking half of it in a long chug.

Leonardo has posed:
"Hey.." Leo was meditating, so the shouting is initially ignored. A humming background that is filtered out by his concentration until it continues beyond the boundries of acceptable and shakes him out of his inner harmony... into a disharmonic frown and glare directed towards the doors to the dojo section of the lair.

"HEY!" Snapping his thumb across his first finger, trying to get Casey's attention. His mask is gone, hung with his katana on a rack in his room. "Why are you yelling? Donnie is not /here/ Casey, screaming at the top of your lungs is not going to summon him.. There is no inherent magic in raising your voice."

There is magic in coming baring pizza though. Captures the eldest turtles attention, hand drawing across his nasal holes, "What are you even on about anyways?" Slipping towards the boxes to flick open one of the lids to grab a slice before Mikey has a chance to devour it all.

Michelangelo has posed:
Michelangelo is one of the brothers that emerges into the main dining area, his mouth opening wide as he yawns loudly. An idle hand reaches up to scratch the back of his head, eyes half-closed to indicate that he may have just woken up from a nap. Dressed in some pretty loose and comfortable clothing, the baby brother of the quartet squints at Leo shouting back to Casey Jones. "Whhaaaa? Waz-happening?" Like his brother, he's also without his mask. It's not like they wear those things when they have to, after all.

"Rrrhmmpphh... Case?" He asks wearily, opening his eyes a bit wider as he rouses from his slumber. "Dude, what are you doing here?" Leonardo is given a mumble-grumble too, but it's so incoherent that it's hard to even guess what it's about. With a sleepy thud he falls into a chair at the table, happily eating a slice of pizza as if he's on some sort of auto-pilot.

"Bro, I think I've cracked the key to meditation." It seems a few chews of pizza has kicked his brain into gear! "...just fall asleep. I feel super relaxed and refreshed afterwards. Heh heh heh."

Casey Jones has posed:
"Hey Leo, whatchaup bro, ya know there is like this game, world of wars, or something and I made like this cool orc, and Apes and Donnie totally like play it and shit, and I'm gonna like play with her and like spend time with her on the internets." As his fingers like twirl like he is casting a spell, with the words internets, as if it is a mystical land that Casey has never really understood or been to."I mean, I play a badass game of Bad Dudes, or like Double Dragon, this is a bit outta me league, but ya old dawgs, got to learn some tricks and shit, right?"

With that he grabs another piece of the pie, eating it just as quickly, as he washes it down with another long hit of monster, as he grins at the Leo."Something to do with my new farm life, got me a some cows and some chickens, and gonna get a horse broI hired a few locals to like watch it when, I ain't there, but they are going to stay away when me there, get that silence and alone time, to patch up the old knocker." With that, he is knocking on the front of his skull, with a solid thump as the man lets out a pure grin of pleasure.

Now Mikey is here, as he grins at the party dude, throwing his on shoulder for a light squeeze."Sup, Mikey got a puter to game with Donnie and Apes, that all and like pumped and was hoping he could like to teach me, before I like bailed to the farm again and shit." His eyes filled with passion and joy, as he leaps into the air, with a spinning motion, as his arm is up in a pump fashion than down."I mean, it's kinda cool right."

Leonardo has posed:
Leo has a slice of pizza dangling over his open mouth when Mikey makes his yawning appearance, munching away happily as his youngest brother works his way out of meditative bliss. "It's exactly like that yeah! ..."

After a pregnant pause, "Only completely different."

Side eyeing the excited Casey with a elevated ridge over his left eye, "So your new plan is to wow her with your ability to adapt to modern gaming... Buddy..." The pizza's gone man, "You need relationship advice pronto." Snap pointing, both hands.

His little brother, however? Totally getting noogied. Arm coming out and over the youngest turtles shoulder, knuckles trying to rub against the top of his head. "It's good to see you, Mikey."

BACKSTORY!

Leo's been gone for a while.. a few weeks actually. Since August 25th. Splinter assured everyone that he was fine, but.. he didn't say where he was going. Been back a week or two now, though.

"There's pizza." Pointing at the trio of boxes.

Michelangelo has posed:
Michelangelo grunts and groans as his older brother so expertly grapples him into a noogie. "Oof! Oi, oi! Let go! You're ruining my hair, man!" Once released, he rubs the top of his head with a sly smile, eyeballing Leo carefully. "Good to have you back, bro. These road trips you take? Maybe you could take us with you next time, huh? I was starting to think you may've gone to Japan without us or somethin'." Grabbing a slice of pizza and chewing it down, Mikey salutes Casey with it. "Thanks for the food, Case. You the man."

Embraced by Casey not long after, Michelangelo snickers. "Is Donnie even good at games? I know he's good at //building// computers, but I didn't think he was too awesome at gaming." Leo comment that Casey needs relationship advice earns another snickering 'heh heh', before he points at his brother. "Bro, we both know you ain't the one to be giving relationship advice. Anyway," His baby-blue eyes swivel to the human in their midst. "You know what I think, man? If you wana woo April, just do your own thing." Mikey shrugs. "April will like you fine with you just being you. Being all fake and into games? She'll see right through that, man."

"So what's going on top-side anyway?" The question posed to Casey is one from someone who is stuck underground more than he'd like. "How's the farm?"

Casey Jones has posed:
Casey looks over at Leo, with a shrug as he says something softly, his eyes light up with joy."I got's to thinking about, that me an Apes dated once, and it was dem fights that ended us, over me risking my neck, or me wanted her to like spend time my way. I aint' playing dis to get her back, bro. I'm playing dis to spend time with her and shit." With a childish grin, as his hand slaps his knee for a moment, as he turns to Mickey now with a wicked smile.

"I mean, I like games Mikey's. I like my NES and my Sega a ton, we use to play em sometimes, and I always wanted to try more and stuff. After a long day of drinking, just been too busy running out at night to swinging my bat, trying to die, to like move on or something. I'm done with crime-fighting for a bit, hanging up the old hockey mask, dem sticks."

As he walks over to grab another slice, as he devours a slice, as he reaches down into that bag to pull out a water, as he downs half of it again with a content sigh."But ya know, thank ya bros for like having my back, it feels like I gots a family again, aint' felt like dat in a long time." A soft red blush is in the checks of Casey.

Leonardo has posed:
Mention of Japan and Leo pulls his fat lips back on his teeth, "Yeah, that'd be insane... all the way to Japan, how would I even get there?" He slaps his brother on the shell, "I brought you a gift back from Kyoto, though." Headed over towards his bag, the last gift left to give was for Mikey.

While Casey and his youngest brother catch up, Leo digs through his meager belongings, coming out with a box.. about twelve inchs by five inches.. Setting it down on the table beside the pizzas. "There you go, bro. I wasn't sure if you had this one or not, but .." Both hands motioning out to it.

It's an action figure. One of those hard to find ones from one of those cartoons that Mikey likes.

"Jesus, Casey.. I'm not a gamer and I know more than the NES and Sega.. if you're trying to wow April with your expert console knowledge, maybe pick up a magazine from this decade, eh?"

Michelangelo has posed:
"Wait, you're //what//?" Mikey nearly chokes on his pizza when Casey reveals to him that he's done crime fighting for a bit. "Dude, don't tell Raph that!" Hitting his chest to try and not choke, Michelangelo coughs and splutters. "He'll be so pissed. That's a shame, you're so good at swinging those sticks into people. You're doing all this for April? Damn, man. You really trying to make it work, huh?" Leaning back in his chair, the turtle considers as she chews on a new slice of pizza. "Sega and NES? Those are antiques, dude. You getting a PS5? New xBox, maybe? Heard pre-orders for those have already sold out, but I managed to get one." The smug grin on Michelangelo's face says it all. "Going to be //sweet//."

"Wait, you DID go to Japan without us?!" Mikey protests to Leonardo, his face falling. "But! But! I was supposed to go shopping and visit the maid cafes in Tokyo! THE MAID CAFES, BRO! THE MAIIDD CAFEEESSSSS!" Mikey calls out in dismay, clearly shattered that Leo made that venture all on his own. Probably for extremely responsible reasons, but on his own regardless. "Did you at least find anything out about the Foot over there? Did you kick some serious shell?"

Once the gift is presented, Michelangelo seems to forget the sudden frustration he had with him. "...oh DUDE. This is straight fire!" Holding up the action figure like a prized trophy, he then tucks it close to his body to huggle it close. "It's awesome. Thanks, dude. But seriously, Raph is gonna be pissed that you left to Japan without him."

Casey Jones has posed:
"Ralph is cool, with it Mikey, I kinda lost my shit and almost died, and then almost killed an innocent man, so yeah aint' so good at the target selection right now, my old noogie machine aint' working good. So, I'm get some country living for a bit, maybe be better and shit. But yeah, man ya'll need my sticks call me and I'll come arunning, place upstate not on the other side of the world like Japan." Casey nods watching Mikey, with a little chuckle as his hand is rubs along the back of his neck, as he looks over at Leo."There aint' nothing wrong with classic, ya know they are called dat cause they are good."

A chuckle coming out of his going to the wall to lean against it, his hands over his chest as he sighs again, as he bites his lower lip."April, already wants to like spend some time with me out at the farm, a few days. Should be fun and stuff, but like Donnie step me up with power and internet. Now, I just gottaa figure out dis game and stuff, but yeah and yeah, I can fight beside ya'll but not on my own, and shit. That's her rule, but I still need to get my brain box in order."

Leonardo has posed:
"I did, yeah.." Leo says of going to Japan, rubbing his knuckles against the back of his head. A small half frown, "Raph knew, I think. I told Splinter I was going, but I couldn't risk taking you all with me until I was certain that we'd actually be able to succeed, you know?" Periodically flicking a glance up at Casey explaining his own life changing events.

"Regardless, I learned enough that we can plan a trip for the four of us. Take the fight to the upper echelons of the Foot... kick'em where it'll really hurt." That hadn't been the /only/ reason he'd gone, but... Mikey's reaction is definitely on brand. "Glad you like it, bro." Slapping his brothers arm with a backwards swat.

"Now, Casey... how'd things go after Donnie, Raph, and I left the other night? Did she see the note?"

Michelangelo has posed:
Mikey chews on his pizza slowly as Casey reveals what he almost did with the weapons at his disposal. "That's... pretty intense, dude. Well, I'm glad you stopped then. I hoped the country living sorted you out some? But whatever happens, you're always welcome down in the Lair. You and April got lifetime passes." His eyes roll a little at the mention of old consoles being a 'classic'. "They're old, man. Super old. Classics aren't meant to be played much in this day and age."

"I'm in, bro." The reply to Leo is made with an authoritative looking nod, some stretched mozzarella hanging from his lips. "You know I'm always in. How did you get to Japan, anyway? You fly on a regular plane somehow? By boat?" That would be a long trip.

The brother falls into some silence then, keen to hear more about what Casey has been up to recently.

Casey Jones has posed:
"It went good Leo, and mean she read it and we watched a flick, on the couch and she was going to come hang with me at the farm." Casey nods slowly, his hand is pushing his hair out of his eyes, as he is leaning against the wall, as he pushes off it with a wicked little chuckle."I mean aint' sure it was my word, or the letter maybe both. How did that power thang, work out easy as promised and stuff?"

Casey's is grinned with pure love in his eyes, as he thinks about April, as they insult his games, his lips curl into a wide arrogant grin."I guess, ya know Harley had fun with bad dudes, that was fun with her." Casey pouts at them as he grins as he starts to push off the wall as he looks over at Leo and then at Mickey."Fine, fine teach me the joys of modern gaming or somethang, got anything we can play now, like bad dudes or double dragon Ya know, I likes to beat people with fist or swords, or like bats. Mostly like bats ya know.?"

"But ya, I'll be around still plan on only going up on the weekend, close down the shop and stuff, got people to handle the day to day, I aint' know how to run a farm, but's about getting outta, all this noise and lights, and quiet and stuff. Also, it's in the middle of nowhere, ya'll can like walkabout and shits." Casey's grabs another slice, as he inhales it quickly, munch munch munch!

Leonardo has posed:
"I chartered a private plane." Leo explains to Mikey with a single shoulder shrug, "You'd be surprised how few questions people ask when you come with money in hand.. Just said I was more interested in disgression than comfort. So long as I wasn't worried about riding in cargo, which I wasn't..."

A grin plays out across his face.

"Inflight movie was shit, though."

Glancing over to Casey, tilting his head. "Went well, actually. Still some bugs to work out, got some questions to ask Donnie regarding a few brown outs across Brooklyn last night, but other than that? Seems to be working effectively.. was a solid test run." Plus it helped him and April. So double bonus? Maybe?

Jury is still out.

Michelangelo has posed:
"Aaah, grasshopper, one does not simply just TEACH modern gaming," Michelangelo starts, his tone kicking into the gear of that of an 'old master'. "You //become// modern gaming. Wax on, wax off." He may have just thrown that last part in there for random sake. "But yeah man, when the new Playstation gets here, we can game for sure. Er, I dunno if there are many beat-em-ups going around these days, but maybe we'll get lucky." Maybe.

"You chartered a private plane." That Sensei/Master tone disappears to a deadpan one. "...how... how did you charter a private plane? To Japan? How much money did that cost?! And how come I don't have that much money?!" Probably because he keeps buying pizza with it. "Next time can we get a private jet, too? I wanna experience that sort of luxury! I'll put my feet up and everything."

Standing up from his seat at the table, the turtle stretches a bit back and forth. "Alright guys, I'm gonna hit the sewers for some precious skate-time." Wandering over to the side, Mikey kicks the back of the board so that it flips up to him. "While you were gone Leo, I made friends with some guys from the Justice League." Yeah, it's a shameful boast, but a boast nonetheless. "If you're lucky, I might hook you up with Wonder Woman's number." DAMN. That gloat. "Peace out, fam. Be back soon." Throwing the board forward, Mikey then proceeds to skate out of the Lair, exiting through one of the connecting tunnels.

Casey Jones has posed:
"I mean, yeah, I guess it's like that, but I need to pack my truck and shit." Casey leaps up, heading after Mickey, as he turns on his right foot."I gots, this Leo, I'm fix me and get back April, just watch bro!" With that, he is grabbing that bag under his arm and hauling out of the lair, at mach one as he is climbing upwards to the freedom of the fresh air.
