Cast of Characters: Robert Marksman, Spiral

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman has been working on practicing his powers of late. He is pretty confident on his flying and blasts now, but he has been working on trying to extend his gateways. He has made a few tonight each one a bit farther than the last, and now aiming for a spot he has seen but not been before a swirling black disk appears on top of the Statue of Liberties head, and the man steps from it. He has left his jacket at home, but is wearing a black ski mask with a larger hole for the eyes so he can still wear his sunglasses.

Spiral has posed:
Spiral isn't all that far away, over in New York, and she's been picking up this annoying feeling, the feeling of some sort of ripple in the fabric of space and time. She's feeling pretty good having just woken up and enjoyed baiting Psylocke last night, so she decides to be sociable for a change, and does a little dance.

...and pops into existence on the top of Lady Liberty. It's lucky she's quite dexterous as the dance wobbles a bit as she realises how high up she is. "Ohhh...". For once she actually stops dancing for a moment, and then looks around - soon seeing Robert and his portal. "Ah. Interdimensional terrorist?" she asks, looking at the balaclava. "I think that's my job.".

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman 's brow raise is hidden by the mask, but the questioning may show in his body language, "No, just someone out for a view." He will tell her looking her over, as he tries to figure out just how she got there. He will log her words about terrorist away for now, better to find out more information when your meeting another super for the first time after all. He looks over to her, and says "A lovely view, would be a shame if someone messed it up, you come here often?"

Spiral has posed:
Spiral looks out across the vistas offered by their remote vantage point, and ponders, one hand going to her chin, while another two settle on her hips. "Hmm... No. Maybe I should, it's a great backdrop, and this old girl..." she taps the metal ground with one boot, "... sure draws in the ratings. I could bring my friends up here one day...". She's already pondering a titanic battle with the X-Men up here, that could be fun.

She half turns, her white eyes seemingly focused on him, and her red lips twitch into a smirk. "So, not a terrorist? Are you a god?" she asks, running through her list of possibilities.

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman looks over to her, and says "I know the answer to that should be yes, I have seen this movie, but no. At least not yet or to my knowledge. " He does tense a bit expecting a possible attack after admitting he is not. "Just a fellow with powers, and a apparent connection to another dimension." He takes the note from her first question. He does study her a bit, the cybernetic arms drawing his attention. "Draws in the ratings? You a reality TV star or youtuber?" He asks, thinking if the last she would have said views.

Spiral has posed:
Spiral laughs. "Then... DIE!" she says, and waggles her arms at him - and there's a brilliant flash. Not that anything happens beyond that, anyone who appreciates a good scene definitely has an edge when it comes to Spiral not immediately being crazy. Though maybe scaring some random person who already looks a bit itchy on top of the Statue of Liberty is a bit crazy.

"For once, I was not thinking of movies - there are gods and demigods under every stone in this city. Reality TV?" she snorts at him, and shakes her head. "Talent agent. I scoured Earth to find people and turn them into stars. But..." she waves a couple of hands. "Not any more. Hopefully not ever again.".

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman winces back bringing his arm up to his eyes, the dark portal while closing before pops away. It takes him a moment to speak again as he is trying to let his vision return. "Way to mess with someone's night vision." He says trying to cover that the flash messed with him more than it should have. "So, if your not turning people into stars, what are you doing now? " He will ask, and then adds "I have never seen you before, you I am sure I would remember."

Spiral has posed:
Spiral shrugs. "Trying to get by... trying to think of a way to have my revenge on my old master... and having fun with some old friends along the way. I might do something about all the YouTube stars..." she says, pondering again. She's not fussed if her flash bothered him at all it seems, in fact she barely seems to notice any discomfort or anything, so hiding anything is quite easy.

"I seem to have a tendency to end up working for people. It bothers me.". Her nose wrinkles a bit. "Anyway. That's not why I am here. You are a new dimensional juggler!" she says, two hands pointing at him accusatorily. "I like to think I know what goes on in that world... or at least know their names. I am Spiral. You... better not be Balaclava Man. Or I am giving you a free trip to Gotham City where you belong.".

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman shakes his head and "No, I go by the name Darksight when I am using my powers." He tells her. He will let his vision go through both thermal and x-ray for a moment looking at the arms, to see if they are actually cybernetic, and how they are grafted to her. "So, you know something about that dark dimension I seem to pass through and channels my powers?" He will ask her.

Spiral has posed:
"And you don't? You are the one using it...". Spiral assumes a slight frown. "Someone meddling with Powers Man Was Not Meant to Know is always a favourite, though.", she goes on, and laughs a bit, shaking her head. "There is only speculation, that I know of anyway... a dimension useful for drawing power, for teleporting... it may or may not corrupt anybody who uses it.". Tilting her head, she notes, "Maybe I should keep an eye on you for scientific purposes if you are playing with it.".

She shrugs, and puts her top two hands behind her head, stretching a bit like a cat. "I do not teleport using that power. My abilities come at a different cost.".

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman looks over, and says "Well, I developed my powers, and have been learning them and refining them for a while. I do not think I am being corrupted by them, but then if I was, I may not notice it, I may have to pay more attention to that. " He hmms in thought and at the last he says "Your powers more mechanical? I could not but notice your arms, and find them quite interesting, I am working on cybernetics myself." He will tell her. He looks a bit young for that, but you know those heroes and their super smarts.

Spiral has posed:
Oh yeah, the arms. Well, one is metal, and one is partly metal, grafted on by a combination of magic and science, though presumably he will miss the magic part. The fleshy parts are just... arms. They seem to be her natural, or unnatural, form. Her bone structure is a bit different from a human too, most obviously she only has three fingers on each hand.

"Only may be. The dark force dimension is a mysterious place." she admits. "I know of it, but have not explored it. Sounds dangerous. I much prefer the chaos of the Wildways... beautiful, if you have eyes to see.". Her own eyes being solid white and fainly glowing after all.

She shakes her head at his question. "My... powers? You mean this unnatural form?" she asks, all six hands pointing at herself. "Partly cybernetic...", and her metal arm waves at him. "But no. I use magic, drawn from the wildways. I am very familiar with cybernetics though...and more besides, when it comes to warping people's forms. You are interested? You have a strong stomach?" she laughs.

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman hmms and says "I believe I have a decently one, but I am more seeking to help people to gain back usage of parts of their body that may have been damaged, or did not develop completely. I am specializing in trying to come up with sturdy cybernetics, with a lower cost for those of low income. The next step from 3d printed prosthetics and such." He hmms and says "I have not heard of the wildways, but have read a bit about a multitude of possible dimensions.

Spiral has posed:
"Low cost cybernetics... ugh. I am forced to use Earth technology at the moment." Spiral admits. "I will gain a terrible reputation if it continues much longer! The Body Shop is supposed to be more than grafting earthly technology to people. I would like to be able to achieve the feats of my subjective past... cutting out people's humanity, taking people's souls and stuffing them into another form so perfectly, not even psionic probing could reveal the truth of what had happened.".

Yeah, she's not really very nice.

"There are infinite dimensions, most likely." she nods. "And infinite earths. But some are nearer to us than others... possibly subjectively. The wildways are close to me, maybe the dark force dimension is closer to you. At some point, science cannot explain all, after all, there is an element of chaos to the multiverse.".

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman hmms and says "So you do cybernetics here in town?" He will ask. He may have to check her out a bit more, and make sure she is not doing to much harm. For how he will say "Removing someone's humanity does not seem very we.. humane." He will study her a moment, "Your connection to the wildways limited some how currently?"

Spiral has posed:
"Haha. Not any more." she lies. "You have missed your chance.". And two hands wave dismissively at his observations on ethics. "No humanity was removed from those fully human to begin with." she assures him.

She scowls a bit at his question though, on her limited connection to the wildways. It would be quite a long explanation though, of interdimensional insane TV producer dictators and missing souls. "I have enemies there." she eventually says.

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman hmms and nods his head a bit to this, thinking he may have to find those enemies, not knowing she is quite possibly the lesser of two evils. "Fully human, could get one off on a lot of technicalities." He comments "So, if your not doing cybernetics and changing to help people, may I ask why "Money? Art? for kicks?" He asks, trying to judge her level of bad guyness.

Spiral has posed:
Spiral chuckles at that. "Everything makes sense to me, which is the main thing." she assures. "Why? I enjoy exploring the frailties of humanity... and passing on the gifts that were given to me. The people who come to me have nothing else to live for with their small lives. Someone did impress me though... I sent her away. She reminded me of me too much.". Villain factor - 7/10.

"I smell someone who seeks to be the protagonist in their heroic story." she eventually says. "Even if they tamper with powers associated with darkness. Maybe we will meet again.". But she's had enough of being interrogated and judged by this human, so she begins to dance again - and pretty quickly vanishes with a pop.

Robert Marksman has posed:
Robert Marksman hmms and says "Interesting,, I may just have to figure out how to find her, since seems she can find me." He says to himself. He will look over the spot she was at with his visual powers thinking he might need to bring some scientific instruments if he is going to encounter stuff like this. For safety he gates to a parking garage and takes a cab home from there.
