Cast of Characters: Colleen Wing, Elektra Natchios

Colleen Wing has posed:
What are friends for than to be taken to an underground fight club. Super illegal with only knockouts counting as a win and cash betting placed on each match. One fight a night per fighter. It's a blood sport and it's no doubt had to move locations a few times until the found a few uniformed officers willing to look the other way for greased palms.

This warehouse was a slaughter house during the week but every month it was transformed in to a loud and busy arena of blood thirsty audience members, a caged area in the center for the fighters, and a hastily assembled P.A. system. The security here is ready to get the money out.

Colleen was simultaneously horrified this place existed and thrilled at the prospect of seeing it in action. There's no denying that she has her own form of blood lust and recent events have had her practicing harder than normal, she even broke her wooden dummy's left arm.

Bakuto. She cannot find a good enough outlet to express the hatred and betrayal she felt from him. Nor could she pass up on the notion that she can get paid for this, a supplementary income to help tide over the quieter weeks at her dojo when kids are on school holidays and she'd really like to still afford her groceries. This wasn't her idea, but as the crowd cheers on two big burley men beating each other in the cage she can't help but warm up to it rapidly.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
If there's something that can be said about Elektra is that she is a facilitator. And for her friends of course she will allow them to indulge in letting out some steam by way of beating people up. It did work for her afterall. But she had noted the rising tension on Colleen, and that broken dummy had been the last straw.

"I will bring you to a place where you can break something other than wooden dummies." She had said, the faintly raised brow as if luring the younger woman to just find out what she was talking about.

On the following night here they were, right at the heart of Chinatown even if a secret to many. In truth the illegal club didn't stay in the same place for long, rotating around various places to make it harder for it to be caught by the authorities. The bloodlust-filled screams echoed in the air, they arriving just as those two big men are getting onto a fight.. Blood drops are around the floor of the cage, along with some on the cage itself, suggesting this isn't the first fight of the evening.

"Here we are." Elektra murmurs, dressed in black pants and pratical shoes, a hoodie on and partially covering her face. She didn't want to be identified just yet afterall. "I do hope you are ready. They won't go easy on you." tone one of warning.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Colleen is wearing her white track pants and white hoodie. This was a terrible decision. She's going to get blood on them and blood on white is very visible. But to be fair, she didn't know this was what Elektra had in mind. She thought may be they'd go to a junk yard and smash the windows of old cars that hadn't been crushed yet.

"First, you've out done yourself." There's a wry tone to that one as her eyes surveil the two men in the ring. She notes how undisciplined their movements are, how they rely too much on putting weight behind their blows. "And second, thank you," the second one sounds more earnest but she's getting a hardened look on her face as she steels herself for a fight.

She approaches the fight master and yells over the cheers of the crowd, "Hey! Put me in with your biggest guy," she says and then pulls out a wad of cash from her pocket. The fight master is about to ignore her request until he sees the cash. He takes it and replies, "Your funeral."

Colleen makes her way back to Elektra and just shakes her head. "This is nuts," she admits, even though she has gotten in to more fights since she met Danny Rand and Daredevil than ever before in her life. Even as an instructor for the hand she rarely got in to life and death fights. But there's an edginess to her voice, and her eyes have that slightly wild look of 'this is nuts' being a good thing - at least tonight it is.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"I thought the amused look I gave to your choice of clothing would had given it away." Elektra replies, folding her arms together while watching Colleen go over and talk with the fight organizer. Not that she remains idle. Nope. This isn't her first time here afterall. And while Colleen is busy she makes her way over to the side of the ring, speaking in low tones to someone, a small nod given.. Some money passed over in a subtle manner. Shenanigans were clearly afoot!

When Colleen comes back Elektra offers her one of those knowing smirks from under her hood. "Nuts? Only if you lose." her tone telling that this is serious enough. And of course that Elektra being Elektra means nothing is ever so straightforward. There is a small commotion near the cage, some 'booos' heard, the man she was talking with earlier tapping on the cage and calling for the two men to stop then signaling the fight master who speaks up.

"Alright, alright. Shut up you fucks! We have got a feature match tonight!" the man speaks up, the 'boos' starting to subside. "Turns out we have a guest who wants to fight our best. Well! Go in then!" the man looks towards Colleen, waiting.

Elektra appears to be extremely amused now as the focus goes to Colleen, she saying in a low tone. "Might want to think of a fake name too." she suggests.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Colleen looks down at her white hoodie and then smirks at Elektra, "You could have said something." She glances over at the cage and the two fighters in there beating at each other senselessly. One seems to be getting tired, the other might win soon. "I won't lose," she says with the definitive. There's no choice to lose when they're fighting the Hand, there's no choice to lose her budget for the next week, there's no choice to lose because Bakuto could be waiting for exactly that.

"Huh," she says in surprise as the match is ended and she's called to come forth. "Okay then." Then a confused look back to Elektra as she suggests she needs a fake name. She gets to the fight organizer and goes blank, dumbly coming up with the first thing that comes to mind, "Ah.. yeah call me Daughter of the Dragon."

She's already rolling her eyes at that as she enters the ring and moves to the far side. Dammit Colleen couldn't you have come up with something better than that? She starts to hop from foot to foot. She usually doesn't get to warm herself up before a Hand ambush.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"And ruin this moment? Of course not." Elektra says back to Colleen, lifting her shoulders in a shrug. "Besides, knowing you I am thinking you would had said no to coming here if I had just said this was the plan." the assassin approaches the fight master alongside Colleen and once she says what her fake name will be there is an evident roll of her eyes. "Ugh, I am certain Danny will love it..." yes, there was no love lost between Elektra and Danny. But that's how it goes between promised enemies. "Just please don't make this the origin story of you going out to punch a dragon too.." look, it was a running gag between them already. How Danny had gained his powers...

With one of the men being close to being unconscious a frown comes to the fight organizer. "Wait! Wait! This won't do." he announces. "We need another challenger. Who wants to join on this fight to baptize the Daughter of the Dragon in our ring, mmm?" clearly the man is enjoying this too much. Easy money! Elektra isn't as enthused though. This wasn't part of the plan so she frowns but stays silent..

It almost seems as if noone would step up but then a man steps out of the group, dressed in black, features asian. He wordlessly takes out his upper shirt to reveal a torso of corded muscle and makes his way up to the ring.

Elektra is eyeing the man attentively, eyes watching the posture and the way he walks. Clearly something isn't fully right by her expression. And now Colleen is inside that ring with both this unknown variable and the earlier fight who is a touch bruised but still in fighting shape, and he does have that advantage of being double the size of Colleen.

After placing her own bet Elektra makes way to the side of the cage just as the door gets closed and locked.

Colleen Wing has posed:
The announcer excitedly says, "And we have a challenger! Fire Nation Attacks is back. Get your bets in quick, this might be a quick one." Colleen is still thinking about punching a dragon. There had been a few fights between herself and Danny in the past. He's very hard to hit, but hit him she did. That's like punching a dragon right. She gives an exasperated shrug to Elektra.

The asian man looks more disciplined than the two fighters that had the ring before them. There is a brief moment of doubt - why is she doing this again? then the images flash back through her head of Bakuto shooting that man, him locking the door and setting the building on fire and wishing her well. Even as far back as the day she realised the Hand wanted Danny dead and wanted her to do it.

She frowns at the man and the bell rings. She approaches tentatively, a few years ago she'd be throwing punches right away but some training with Danny tightened up her form considerably. She throws out a fake punch, then half lifts a knee for a fake kick, just to see how he responds. She needs to see if she can pattern this guy; unlike the other two she hasn't had a chance to see him fight yet.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
The problem with going with a tentative approach is that it makes one open for the other guy, specially if they are impulsive and don't think Colleen will be much of a challenge. The large man lets out a roar. "Big mistake, girl. Should had paid attention to what I did the previous guy in here!" and he starts rushing Colleen.

The asian man is indeed a lot more disciplined, and he seems to expect the larger man to charge in against Colleen, giving her space and stepping back from that fake kick. But this is clearly someone who knows their way around the martial arts world. And he appears to have a big burly friend to tip the scales in his favor.

"No time to think. Take out the big guy, Colleen." Elektra's voice is heard from the side of the cage. Surprising really. Normally she would just go with watching and let Colleen to her fate (well, she knew the two big guys of before were no match to her). But for some reason she was taking this one differently.

Meanwhile, big guy is rushing Colleen, arms open wide. Does he want to hug her? More like crush her!

Colleen Wing has posed:
The best thing about someone charging at you is.. well, it's an incredibly stupid thing to do. Big guys to Colleen are very similar to the medieval samurai on horse back. You have to dismount them and the Ryuukyuu empire had the perfect set of techniques for that - the flying kick.

The Karate styles had since perfected the techniques since the medieval times and it is no difficulty at all for Colleen to quickly change her tactics. The smarter fighter is keeping his distance but the bigger guy thinks this is a done deal and easy money.

She backs away from him quickly and jumps against the cage wall, kicking off it with one leg and reversing direction to land a knee right in to his chin as she claps both hands over his ears. As good as that strike is, it sometimes takes people a moment or two to realise just how stunned they are.

He grabs her and throws her over his shoulder and to the floor. She rolls up to her feet and does a sweeping kick behind him, taking out his leg and bringing him to the ground too. But even as she does it, she realises she's made a mistake - she's not giving credence to the fact that this is still two on one.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
The big man immediately regrets the reckless charge once he gets that knee to his chin. Ow! Mean! He cries out in pain but seems to get enraged, still managing to toss Colleen over a shoulder and to the floor, hard.. He is just about to turn and throw himself atop her to finish this when he feels his legs give up from under him.. That wasn't according to the plan.. He crashes down on the floor with a *thud*, momentarily stunned and open to a finisher...

Yet the other man isn't idle. He studies Colleen, the movements, sliding to a more advantageous position and waiting for that moment to strike. And that's right as she is finishing that sweep kick to get the giant down to the ground. His shadow is visible, blessedly, swiftly approaching and the man's leg goes up before coming crashing down in an attempt to hit Colleen in the face. It's a deadly blow, surgical, meant to main or kill. Clearly the man isn't playing here..

"Roll away." Elektra calls from the side.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Colleen is about to strike the big man as he bounces off the floor, but instead there is that briefest of moments when she catches that sense of a shadow and both her fore arms rise up to block her face. She stumbles back from that as he advances with several athletic and well placed kicks. This guy isn't messing around and seems to have an agenda beyond winning the fight money.

She barely has time to glance at Elektra with a 'not helping' look on her face as she ducks a kick only for him to dance to the other foot and kick her in the gut. She slams back against the cage wall to the loud cheers and boos of the crowd who are really getting in to the fight. More bets are being passed around.

As he moves in on her and starts throwing punches, she bunches up her fore arms in front of her head like a boxer and weaves a few times until he takes a jab at her side, then traps his wrist and throws him over her shoulder, but has to release the arm before she can get a lock on it because the big guy is back up on his feet.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
While Elektra is mostly keeping an eye on the fight she is aware of the surroundings. The way some of the other patrons here aren't just cheering on, instead intently looking at Colleen. Clearly something is afoot. She steps out from the side of the ring. And if Colleen would look again she is nowhere to be found. Maybe she left Colleen to her fate! Wouldn't be beyond the Hand Assassin ...

The man is tossed over a shoulder but comes to land on his feet. Nimble little bastard that one, rolling and already prepared for more. And now they are two on one again. A glimmer of a smirk appears on his expression, as if the tables were turned on his favor once again. Honestly, he perhaps didn't expect so much of a fight out of the former instructor to the Hand. Something he will need to consider..

So with the big guy getting up to his feet he lets him go first, the giant attempting to toss an haymaker at Colleen while the other attempts to explore her flank, tossing a side kick followed by a flurry of punches, attempting to keep the girl off-balance.

"You should not have left us." he taunts. Typical Hand, trying to destabilize their opponents.

Colleen Wing has posed:
The big guy really doesn't concern her much. His technique is so sloppy, he's incredibly inefficient and even now that he knows she's not an easy fight, thinks he has the advantage. The upper hand - which is why she feels it appropriate to take the opportunity to jump back from the good fighter with an upper cut right in to his throat with fingers instead of a fist.

She starts to block, but he's fast and she's still trying to keep track of the big guy. The punches get through and she stumbles back as her face is and white top are splashed with her own blood, not just theirs.

But then he says the magic words and the sound of the crowd is drowned out by the blood beating hard in her ears. He's Hand. This isn't an adenaline fueled stress reliever.. this is life and death.

It's almost like a mental switch and the crowd can sense it. His next punch misses her as she side steps just a little and she doesn't even strike back - that would be wasted energy. This is the teaching of Danny Rand, making her far more efficient with her ki than she ever was from her grand fathers teachings.

The next two punches are almost delicately deflected away from her face with the barest of hand motions, leaving her open to block his next kick with her leg, then she too does a dance and kicks him square in the chest, rounding around just as the big guy comes in for another hay maker; she ducks beneath him and ends with a spinning back kick to the back of his head.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Elektra is only visible for briefest moments, among the crowd, moving about to those targets she identified.. They disappear swiftly enough, taken by the assassin in silent quiet manners, she taking advantage of all the commotion going on. Not that she doesn't pay attention to the ring, noting that shift on Colleen's demeanor with a faint smirk. Turns out she hasn't lost that fire inside her. Good.

Colleen's opponent was expecting to be able to press on the advantage, to go for the finishing blow. But instead it's him that gets pushed back, his quick punches deflected way more easily than he was expecting. He still has a look of surprise on his face when he takes the kick to the head which sends him flying to the middle of the ring, unconscious..

As for the big guy, when he notes the other having been dispatched in that quick manner comes to a stop.. He was already in pain from the earlier beating. "Fuck this shit. Tehy ain't payin' me enough!" he says, lifting his meaty hands as if to say he wants no more beef with the young woman.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Colleen follows the Hand fighter as he falls through the air. There's a fierce roar from her as she lands on top of him and starts to beat his face with punches over and over again. As she comes to realise that he's unconscious she rises back up and presents her bloodied fists toward the big guy.

He surrenders and she jerks forward just enough to make the big man flinch. She blows an errant lock of midnight hair from her face and double checks the guy on the ground. Her eyes look out at the cheering crowd and she notices Elektra moving amongst them.. and faces disappearing as she does so.

She spits on the unconscious guy, blood mostly, "You should have left me alone." She barely hears the announcer shouting out over the loud cheers of the crowd, "And the winner is Daughter of the Dragon. Ladies and Gentlemen we have a new cage favourite." There are quite a few people who are pissed off they lost what should have been easy winnings.

Exiting the cage the fight manager takes her aside and pays up, "Amazing. You need to come back here and do that again!," he says encouragingly. Colleen has to admit it was.. exhilarating - and this extra cash is going to help her this month for sure. She pockets it and then looks around for Elektra, "Excuse me I need to find my friend."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
There is no witty comeback from the guy Colleen spits on. He is unconscious afterall! The large guy remains up on the ring even as Colleen makes her way out. He is safer in there! And with the money from the bets being given to Colleen now it's only a matter of finding out where Elektra went to..

She is found over the side where she was originally talking with that other man with which she exchanged money with. One blade is in her hand, expertly placed against the man's neck in a reverse grip, some droplets of blood seen coating the blade.. She is speaking in low tones to the man. Menacing words? Most likely. Lips are close to the man's ear, bodies close to an embrace. Almost like lovers if there wasn't that flash of deadliness on Elektra's eyes. When that tells of murder.

Yet a few moments later she lets him go, the man scurrying out into the darkness of the poorly-lit warehouse.

Elektra glances over her shoulder, aware of the other woman's approach. "Your hesitation could had costed you." she admonishes the young woman. "But good finishing."

Colleen Wing has posed:
Colleen dabs the sleeve of her white hoody against her bleeding nose and mouth. It's good and ruined now. She watches with concern as Elektra looks like she's about to go for the kill.. but then doesn't. She lets out a held breath. She shouldn't have mentally jumped to a conclusion there... but even years on she still knows she is naive about just how bad the Hand are.

"Who was that guy?," she asks looking after the man as he runs away. "That guy was Hand. He knew who I was," she says perhaps more for her own ears than for Elektra. Bakuto was sinking to new lows, he must be spying on her. Is she being followed?

The strange thing is though: she does kind of feel better. She can't hide it, her body says volumes. She's more relaxed again, even if she is sore from the kicks and punches she took to the face and body. "We should get out of here," she suggests and then can't help but laugh at the absurdity of the night. It was actually fun.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"A rat." Elektra replies when she asks who the guy was, sliding the blade over her dark shirt to clean the blood off (there's a lesson here: always dress dark clothes). "I knew they had one of my contacts in their pocket. I simply wasn't certain which." was this all but a bait to get them to reveal themselves? Surely Elektra wouldn't use Colleen as bait right? Right?! The knife is put away and she assesses Colleen's face and the blood there.

"You look better than how you were before this night began." Elektra notes, perhaps also picking up on that posture from Colleen. If anything she knows how to read someone. "It is good to let go sometimes, is it not?" she begins making her way out of the club, gesturing for Colleen to follow her. "Come, lets get you cleaned up."

Tonight had been an interesting night indeed.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Later in that evening:

The young fighter is brought towards Bakuto who is sitting up on a sort of throne.. He always had a bit of a flair for the dramatic.. Bakuto has quite the annoyed expression now, an opportunity lost. He is waiting, the tension palpable. Perhaps he should had been there himself. He is getting tired of these dimwits who can't get something simple done..

As for the young man, he has his head down, knowing he has failed. Punishment will be terrible. He knows it. But he is still here, ready for it. That is loyalty to the Hand. And he knows nothing else..

Bakuto leans forward, his voice with such a sweetness to it. But it's when he is at his most dangerous form. "Hori-san." he begins. "Let's begin by you explaining to me how you lost against my previous pupil."
