Cast of Characters: Daisy Johnson, Levian

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Josie's Bar.

Right in the middle of the zone of the city protected by the Devil of Hell's Kitchen.. Tonight though there's another demon about. One that Daisy sent a message to invite for a drink.

> So, have you visited many bars up here so far? I just sent Josie's location to your phone. Come visit, we can have a drink and I can share some news with you.

With the message sent it was time to relax and have a drink while waiting for the demon to arrive, resting back on her chair and waving Josie over. "Let's start with a beer tonight, Josie. Nothing too strong." bit of a smirk out of the woman doing the bartending but no answer besides the beer being promptly prepared.

Levian has posed:
> I haven't. Lucifer told me not to get into trouble, so I was staying out of places where people fight for fun.

Levian steps in with his usual denim jacket on, staring down at his phone until he looks up. He furrows his brow in confusion at first, and then approaches Daisy, immediately sitting next to her.

"No one's fighting. Usually there's a head on the floor and people are cheering for some large Hell Knight." He watches Daisy, examining her face, and asks, "What do //humans// do in bars?"

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Daisy is sitting over at one of the corner tables, positioned herself so she can have a good view of the room. Because yes, getting all those spy habits! She is dressed casual, dark jeans and boots along with a blue shirt and a leather jacket hanging on the chair she is sitting on.

She was just finishing finding some last remnant of her Egypt trip on her hair, a grain of sand that makes her sigh. "It does get everywhere..." just before Levian approaches.

"I wonder the type of bars you have been in the past. But since you are talking about Hell Knights I suppose I do have an idea now." Though the last question makes her nod in the direction of a few other tables scattered by where some people are sitting down, either talking or drinking. "Socializing mostly. Drink sorrows away, meet friend old and new. Lots of stuff." she informs. "What did -you- do at bars?"

Levian has posed:
"I've been reading human law lately, and learning about how your societies are structured. I recently learned that we live in a city called New York, within a state called New York, within a country called the United States of America." Levian explains, as if he's going somewhere with this, idly scratching at the surface of the table with his finger out of some habit. "There are places where the poor and underclass live, ghettos and other things like that. The area of Hell where demons like me live, they could be called a ghetto, or badlands, or something like that. Not really structured by the normal hierarchies of Hell until a Demon Lord has a purpose for us, and summons us."

He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a handful of Slim Jims, sitting them on the table. They're of assorted flavors. "What you find can be random, it's very chaotic, like an endless expanse of walking into different lesser demon's domains, or a rogue Hell Knight or Succubus. But one of those things we find are bars. They're usually run by extremely powerful contract demons. And we go in them to drink exotic liquids and unleash our natural instincts. So there's lots of fighting and death."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"I suppose it's the same everywhere. Hell, Heaven.., earth." But then Daisy lifts a brow. "Wait, there's a heaven right?" she questions. She isn't entirely sure! And most likely it will be nothing like she expects it to be. But she nods in understanding at Levian's explanation about his home and where he comes from. "I understand why you are trying to make the best out of your stay here. Though do you also fall prey to the same instincts. The fight and the death?" She asks, curiosity playing at her eyes.

She takes a drink off her beer and then chinjerks in Josie's direction. "So, what's your poison Levian? What would you like to drink?" she asks. "And not asking about literal poison, just so it's noted."

Levian has posed:
"I don't know, I only recently learned that Lucifer is real. I don't really have special knowledge, and I'm very young for a demon. By the time I became a humanoid with complex thoughts, most of the interesting things in Hell already happened a long time ago." Levian points at his forehead, tapping it a few times. "My horns aren't even in yet. Though some people are born with them."

"I'd like..." He sniffs the air a few times, as if trying to determine what's around them. "Well, you don't have fermented cyclops blood, but you do have rum, so I'll take that."

"I have normal demon instincts, yes. But I have a lot of higher order brain functions, I think it's why Lucifer lets someone of my low rank stay on Earth. Normally someone like me would mindlessly attack anything living until something kills me." He sits back, crossing his arms in thought.

"I'm half demon lord, half demon elemental. Maybe it helps me think rationally and not eat that man's ankles." He points at a guy very belligerantly slamming his fist against a table while arguing about sports teams. "He's making aggressive movements, my instincts tell me to bite his ankles. But I can just choose not to."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Think they are out of cyclops blood.." Daisy replies with a small, dramatic sigh. "Maybe next week." though yes, her tone is a jesting one. She gestures towards Josie. "A rum for my friend here, please." eyes then going back to Levian and she listens, now nursing her own beer, swirling it with one hand and nodding a couple of times while he goes about demon instincts.

"It's a good choice to have.." she says about biting people's ankles off, glancing over to the table. "Besides, arguing about sports? Worst thing you can do. Really, I know all about that.." a roll of her eyes given. "It's like trying to argue over the internet how someone's argument is wrong. No point to it."

"But anyway, I invited you here because of what we had discussed earlier, about SHIELD.." The rum is brought to the table, placed in front of Levian, Daisy waiting until the waitress leaves before continuing. "And they are keen to receiving you for a meeting. A job interview if you will."

Levian has posed:
"Choices and freedom are valuable, not everyone can have them." Levian stares at his rum, then takes a sip. "This tastes right. I wonder if humans invented this or demons. I'm never sure with the things that we share."

"An interview... that's good. I've been watching YouTube tutorials about getting jobs and 'acing the interview'. TheMadGainzEntrepreneur said that I need to have good posture, though it's difficult." He sits up straight, from his usual hunch. "It's very uncomfortable."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Yea...." Daisy grimaces a touch about Youtube tutorials for interviews. She may have done the same in the past. "Look ..., SHIELD isn't exactly an orthodox kind of group where those kind of videos will help. You will gain more by just being natural. Or at least sincere." she informs Levian, grinning faintly. "Besides, considering one of those that may be there is the one who you called having the heart of a demon, well, they will mostly know a bit about you by now. But look at it on the bright side, at least she won't be trying to shoot you?" A beat, Daisy, bringing a finger to tap on her chin thoughtfully. "At least hopefully she won't.."

She returns to the earlier subject, saying. "Choices and freedom. It's what SHIELd is about, making sure the world can have it. It does get harder every year, but I like to think we have a part in making sure the world is safe from tyranny."

Levian has posed:
"By the way, there's a man, he shoots arrows and is friends with the demon woman. I made a deal with a parrot, it spoke to me. I needed to get through a magical seal on the day I met them. But the parrot told me that my payment was to kiss the man who shoots arrows." Levian explains this seemingly out of no where, but holds up a finger. "When I tried, the demon woman tried to shoot me. So my payment still hasn't been done."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Yea...." Daisy eyes Levian with a raised brow when there is mention of a man that shoots arrows. "Might know who that is .." she murmurs but then looks amused at it. "Good luck at trying to do it?" she then adds. Best she can do.

"Have you considered that perhaps the parrot would be just messing with you? Though I suppose you are all about contracts and following them so..."

Levian has posed:
"The parrot kept its end of the bargain. I also agreed not to eat any parrots in its direct genetic lineage, as a part of the deal. I have to keep my word. My natural instinct is to keep my word, though I am capable of twisting it." Levian sniffs at his rum again, he just tends to sniff things as a matter of habit. "We're in the part of New York called Hell's Kitchen. They say there's a powerful demon who protects this place. I find it fascinating, though I've yet to find the demon."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Do you mean Daredevil?" That makes Daisy's amusement to just grow, the corners of her mouth curling up and creating dimples on her cheeks. She shakes her head. "He's normally only found if he wants to. Or if you threaten the area." she explains. But then she leans in. "Not that it is an invitation for you to go and start creating trouble to get his attention. That wouldn't go well."

"But anyway, you understood all about the interview then? It should happen sometime later on tomorrow. I will let you know where you can come meet us." She says. "Anything else I can clarify for you?"

Levian has posed:
"Well, there's always a lot to clarify, but alien planets are like that. I think I understand, yes." Levian sips his rum while lounging back in his seat, definitely relaxed in this atmosphere. "Daredevil, I think that was the name, yes. I won't cause trouble, I just don't hear about demons doing the kind of thing that I'm trying to do very often."
