Synopsis: Daisy visits Levian after the drone attack. They discuss various things. He eats a Slim Jim.
Cast of Characters: Levian, Daisy Johnson

Levian has posed:
Sitting on a medical bed hooked up to a heart monitor, there's a doctor staring at it in complete fascination due to the fact that it keeps rapidly and erratically beating in an incredibly abnormal and seemingly inconsistent way. Levian got cooked up when the doctor noticed his abnormal post, but Levian hasn't thought to mention the whole demon thing yet, since he has no idea what's actually going on.

His shirt is off, since his shoulder had to be bandaged after getting a laser fired at it. He's fairly toned, though his muscle structure is slightly different than normal. It has human qualilties, but just a hint of alien enough to throw an anatomy expert off a bit.

Daisy likely knows he's here by now, though he looks back at the doctor and asks, "What's that thing?" when looking at the heart monitor.

He's currently wearing cheap black dress pants, but with his normal red Converse. They're a bit of a mess at this point. There's a blazer and white shirt on the bed next to him, very different from what Daisy's seen him in so far.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Daisy wasn't safe from getting beat around by the drone attack, even if her work had been done up in the skies instead of down at the Triskelion. The day had been won but there were many wounded, along with a few casualties. All was still in a bit of chaos but SHIELD had a way to adapt and cut through no matter what.

Most of her wounds had come from bruises and a few cuts here and there from a few more determined drones, though she had been bandaged by now and was wondering the hallways of the medbay, looking for other wounded, seeking friends, offering a word to the other Agents. Expression was a touch grim but she was hopeful nonetheless.

She had heard about a certain guest having been caught up on the turmoil so her rounds lead her to the room where Levian is. She is making her way in right as he asks what the monitor is. "It tells whether you are still alive or not. Monitor your heart beat." she explains with a faint smirk.

She is dressed in a black uniform, streaks of blue in parts of it along with knee-high boots. No jeans and shirts inside the Triskelion for her!

Levian has posed:
"Oh. I have some hearts and heart-like organs I think. I think it's weird how humans name all their organs." Levian looks over at the monitor again as the doctor stares between the two of them, then just shakes his head and removes the monitor from Levian.

"I can't tell if he's having the most violent heart attack I've ever seen or running a deadly fever, but I'll leave this to the scientists to figure out if he's not even human." are the doctor's comments before he just makes his leave.

Levian starts to put his shirt back on, struggling a bit with the buttons, something he isn't used to. "I know that humans fight, but I didn't understand the extent to which humans have to fight. I saw them die, they died so easily. I've seen demons die easily, but demons can also often recover from the kinds of wounds I saw. The humans were just... gone."

He stares at her, then down at his hand, and offers it. It's clear he's trying to make a gesture he isn't used to, but it's also a sincere one. "Could you die so easily too?"

Daisy Johnson has posed:
A brow quirks up. "I think if my friend Jemms was here she'd have an aneurysm at you not understanding the importance of naming human organs." bit of a smirk appearing on Daisy's expression. Her face has a couple of bruises on a side, along with a graze on a cheek, her own arm bandaged up at a more violent hit.

"Well, he isn't human but ..." She shrugs, letting the doctor walk out and her attention returns to Levian. She makes her way over to help with the buttons, not immediately answering Levian about death. Eventually she does. "Humans are different, more fragile. And while they may be gone they will still be remembered." that seems to make quite the difference for her.

"Maybe. Don't think healing is part of my power set." She then adds in a more jesting manner even if the smile doesn't exactly reach her eyes. "So you were caught down here during the battle. What can you tell me about it?"

Levian has posed:
"Not everyone has the same organs. I mostly know the ones with human names. Though I've never really seen inside of myself, so I don't really know how all of my organs work. Plus sometimes I grow new ones." Levian explains, though then is quick to add, "Actually, I don't know how anyone's organs work at all, demon or human. What does a heart even do? I don't know. It looks cool if you rip it out of a demon and it's still beating in your hand." He smiles at that, one of his less forced smiles. This thought clearly brings him happiness, it may have even cheered him up a little.

He pokes at his bandage. "Those laser things hurt. I want to shoot lasers, I want to learn laser fire magic..." he says while she's helping him with his buttons.

He looks up at her from his seated position, gently reaching up to hold her wrist in a somewhat protective manner. "If something tries to kill you, I'll kill it." he vows, but then he's reflecting on the battle... "These metal armor creatures were flying around, they were trying to breach this fortress and search for something. The disembodied voice was explaining it. They could all do different things, like the lasers, and one turned the water on and made it difficult for me to use magic."

Staring down at her hand as he recalls the next part, he frowns. "One of the agents got shot with a javelin, he didn't survive. And then a woman helped me, she was a magic user. She was shot and killed too. I couldn't save them, I wasn't fast enough, and some of my powers would have hurt more people than help them. I realized... humans have training that I don't have, they know how to do certain things. I can do demon things, but I need to learn how to do what you can all do. Your training..."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"We are more about protecting others than we are about killing." Even if it did help knowing how to kill! Daisy retrieves her wrist back to herself and folds her arms together, shaking her head. "And I think you got it a bit wrong. You should be trying to protect others from not dying, not avenge them. There's a big difference. Sometimes we can't protect, but that should always be a priority." She explains to the demon, reaching over for a chair to settle down.

"And that is where our training can help." Daisy says in agreement to Levian, sitting down on that chair.

"How did seeing other people die made you feel?"

Levian has posed:
"I felt very powerless, because there was nothing I could do. I felt horrible because humans always have lots of hopes and dreams and they care about each other, and have friends. Humans feel like little worlds, and when they die it's like a whole world died." Levian explains as he continues to poke at his bandage. He winces a little each time, betraying the fact that his wounds aren't healing any faster than normal. "I didn't enjoy it. Instinctively, I enjoy violence, I like blood and death, but it was different seeing humans die, living good humans who didn't deserve to die. I never experienced that before..."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Well, in SHIELD it's a good place to start learning some more about those other experiences. If you are still willing to join." Daisy then rubs near the cut on her cheek where it still itches, looking thoughtful. "I imagine you never did get to make your interview. Did you talk with someone after or...?"

She takes note of the way Levian pokes at the bandage, arching a brow, "Are you expecting to beat at your bandage in the hopes you get healed instantly?" she asks. Though in truth, she isn't too sure how demons heal or not.

Levian has posed:
"They said my interview would be postponed. I don't know who I'll have it with or anything, but I still want to join." Levian confirms as he lowers his hand from his badnage, shaking his head. "I have ways to heal, but it's difficult to do because I have to set a fire, and setting fires in a human city without putting things at risk or attracting the police isn't easy."

He points at the wound, then. "This is pretty deep, I'll need a big fire. The worse my wounds are, the larger the fire I need for my spell. Sometimes I just heal a little with magic, then I think I heal at the same speed as a human. Sometimes I heal completely, if I just have a lot of fire around."

But, to clarify, he waves his hand to form some brief red-orange flames. "Can't use this fire, I need Earth fire."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"So no using your fire to heal yourself. Got it." Daisy's brow continues arched. Bit of a pyromaniac in her hands! "There are ways to create safe fires. But yea, I know what you mean. Not good to do those here in the city."

"Probably with one of the senior agents.." She notes, "But they should reach out to you. And well, having helped out in the defense will most likely garner you a few points for the interview." a beat as she then says more amusedly. "As long as you remember not to slouch, eh?"

"Also, better not wave those around much." She says of the flames. "People are still a bit on edge after the attack.."

Levian has posed:
"Yeah, I don't use my magic much on Earth, there are more consequences. It made the drone attack more difficult to deal with, since usually when I fight, I don't have to protect anyone. But now I do, so I have to do things differently." Levian suddenly sits up though, when she mentions slouching, and then she gets a bit of a smile from him. He maybe realized it was a joke.

He smiles a bit more than the first time they met, as he gets more comfortable. "Being on Earth is starting to make me feel like I was just born. Understanding what humans feel more and more. I used to think that necromancers were weak, because they feared mortality so much, but now I think I understand more why they end up the way they do. They probably lose a lot of people, they watch people die in their mortal life, and they probably want more control over that, so they give up being human."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Necromancers..?" Daisy looks a bit confused, perhaps not realizing on why the conversation steered there. But she offers a nod. "I suppose.. I have yet to meet one though." which is maybe a good thing! "But are you talking about someone in specific ...?" she then finally asks. The example given was a bit specific afterall!

"I am hoping you haven't been getting yourself in trouble. Or well, not too much trouble. No trouble normally means boring. And that's no fun for anyone."

Levian has posed:
"I've been thinking about necromancers since the exorcism. The demon woman, uh, May, she was there, she can probably tell you more than me." Levian shakes his head though, reaching into his pants pocket to pull out a long curled up Slim Jim in its wrapper.

Jalapeno.

"I've been fine. I've mostly been exploring Hell's Kitchen since the last time we met. We I study more human law, I realize that there are actually more criminals than I thought on Earth. Human crime is interesting because it cascades. Seemingly harmless crimes aren't harmless because they have a large branching effect." He's opening the wrapper as he considers laws, then starts to chomp at the extremely processed meat. "What I find very interesting is when you start studying human tax laws and then realize how what you call corporations tie into the government and then it trickles down into the federal judges, and federal judges trickle into affecting local judges, and it's all a complex tapestry... it's almost as complicated as Hell!"

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Ah right, the exorcism.." Yea, Daisy still had to ask May about that.. But that would need to stay for another time. She trails the unwrapping of the slim jim with her eyes for a few moments before gazing back up to Levian. "Corruption? Thought that'd be a very known thing for you.." She comments quietly. "But you are right. Even if sometimes we need to go around the law to do what we need." she considers.

"Not every law protects those that need to be protected. It's not really something I follow blindly." Even if she is quite close to a certain blind lawyer. Which is rather ironic.

"Though that's an idea, if you are so interested in law you might be able to help SHIELD in those matters too, finding corruption that is, and those complex webs."

Levian has posed:
"I know that humans are prone to corruption and types of evil, but I wasn't aware of the innerworkings of it in the actual world they're from. I'm beginning to wonder at times if Hell is a strange reflection of Earth in some ways, or the other way around. But... like I told you before, I don't know much. I never really had to involve myself with Earth, damned souls are often insane after a while, and there's not really a demon school where they tell us about demon things..." Levian shrugs staring up for a moment as he considers something.

"I do understand some things. Like, tempting humans, getting them to do some apparently sinful things here and there. But it takes a lot of sin to land you in Hell, I think. I could be wrong. But I don't really have much innate knowledge about this world, that's just what happens when you spend most of your life around low level mindless violent creatures while the demon lords sit in their castles reading books or whatever they do." He does, however, nod and shake his Slim Jim at her.

"Yeah..." he agrees. "Human law is pretty easy to understand, I could help if you wanted. I see rules and laws as weapons, you have to be better than the other person wielding it in order to win."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Those last words out of Levian do seem to amuse Daisy greatly for some reason. "I know someone that will just love to meet you." She says, not hiding the amusement at all from her voice. "Similar view points where it comes to law." she then explains with a slow shake of her head.

But then another doctor comes by. It's time to get on moving apparently! Daisy gets up with a sigh. "My visit hour is up." she stretches up a bit and then looks back down to the demon. "I will catch you around later on I am sure." she begins her way out of the room.

"And go easy on those Jalapenos! They are like fire." maybe that's the whole point!

Levian has posed:
"I'll be okay. Some time I'll tell you about the food I've seen some upper class demons eat. I stole some once..." Levian raises his Slim Jim to wave at her. "I'll see you later. I think I'll play Flappy Bird until they let me leave."

He's already digging through his pocket for his phone, looking up at her one last time as she makes her exit.
