Synopsis: Jimmy Hudson is brought to the X-men's base along with a student of his whose mutant power emerged in a school
Cast of Characters: Kitty Pryde, Jimmy Hudson, Samuel Guthrie, Hope Summers, Noriko Ashida, Henry McCoy

Kitty Pryde has posed:
An earlier alert was triggered as a mutant power going a bit awry in the area was sensed, at the same time that police channels started to have chatter about an incident at a school. An explosion and possibly worse.

Rogue, Kitty, Noriko and Lockheed responded in the Blackbird. Now word has come back they are bringing back two people. A girl, the source of the disturbance, with an inhibitor on her now, and her teacher.

The Blackbird arrives and the group make their way back along the long tunnel and into the X-men base. "First things first, lets get you into our medical facility and make sure you're ok, Michelle," Kitty tells the schoolgirl. She looks to Jimmy, who was given a spare t-shirt on the flight back. "Not to mention you. That looked like some pretty wicked debris to have land on you," she tells him. "Though you look in surprisingly good shape.

Once into the medical bay, Michelle is guided to a seat. Kitty gets her some water, and a very mild sedative to help her relax.

Jimmy Hudson has posed:
Misha, for her part, seems content to be moved along and entirely pleased that she's no longer exerting whatever energy she was in contact with. A nod is given to Kitty but all of this she's seeing, the jet, the flight in it, the facility they're now in... it definitely has taken her aback and caused her to fall a bit more silent than she was when she was in the classroom emitting hat greenish power.
She swallows, nods, then sets off after she gives a smile to Noriko, Rogue, and Mr. Hudson. Yet when Kitty speaks to the tall man, he's got his arms folded over that X-tshirt he's wearing, taking a deep breath as his thoughts likely go with the girl. But then his gaze returns and he looks sidelong at the young X-Man, then her dragon, then nods to her again. "Yeah, whatever that thing was she was doing, smashed by me, hit the wall, zapped the computer. Think I lucked out."
The man lies with an ease at the least.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie comes walking into the room, he has a backpack over each shoulder, and is carrying a covered tray. Often the pick up of new people can be difficult, and he brings supplies, food and drink to recharge the batteries, and a set of clothes in each backpack. They might not be needed, but better to have them if they are. Plus Ma Guthrie always taught to be a good host.

Hope Summers has posed:
Hope Summers has a sunburn. A wicked one. The joys of being a redhead. It's not exactly odd that she's been off on her own a fair bit lately. She's never been the sort to stick around too long or actually report to anyone more than strictly necessary. But she //has// been coming back with a few more bumps and scrapes than just exploring the area can account for. Sunburn's a new one though.

After a fruitless search of the grounds for someone with a healing factor to borrow, she finally surrendered and went down to medical in search of some aloe. She wasn't expecting a crowd though, brows rising when she sees the people already gathered. "Uh...bad time?" she asks.

Noriko Ashida has posed:
Noriko doesn't leave the girl's side and holds her hand all the way through to the medical lab even though she can feel the total lack of that strange green energy coming off of Misha. The connection lapses momentarily when she pulls a chair up from the corner and just sits, quietly for once in her damn life.

She watches as people start to come in and she looks to Hope and Sam in silent greeting.

Henry McCoy has posed:
The alarm was triggered, so it was a good idea to get down to the med-bay in order to triage - if needed. Or operate. Or... what have you. The aroma of Beast's arrival proceeds him.

Beef, jalepenos, cheese... NACHOS.

He's got a plate of them in hand, munching as he steps through the door. He pauses there, seeing so many faces. "What did I miss? Is everyone all right?"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Lockheed had moved over to a counter with a few flaps of his wings once they are in the medical bay. Kitty moves over to pick him up, the dragon crawling up her arm. "I haven't had a chance to introduce you yet. This is Lockheed. A dear friend of mine," she says to Misha. "He's very friendly. Especially to people like us," Kitty says, bringing him over to Misha if she seems ok with his presence. He's small and adorable, so who wouldn't be!?

If she reacts well, Lockheed hops off to sit on the bed beside her, while Kitty turns back to Jimmy. "Glad that you didn't get hit," she tells him. "Hopefully we'll get-" And then the others are arriving, including someone with more medical training than Kitty. She's used the equipment enough to have an idea what to do, not to mention having solid first aid skills. But this is far more the province of Henry McCoy.

Kitty turns to him, "Hank, glad you're here. This is Misha. She was channeling an energy, and releasing it in blasts. From her hands I think?" Kitty says, looking to Misha for confirmation. The girl is wearing an inhibitor collar at the moment. "Think you can give her a look, see if it's a mutation and make sure she's ok? And this is Mr. Hudson, her teacher. He took a bit of a nasty bunch of rubble, so could use a checkout too."

Jimmy Hudson has posed:
The young girl, perhaps fourteen or fifteen with dark hair, jeans, and a purple and green windbreaker lifts a hand and smiles even though she's wearing an inhibitor. She waggles fingers in Hank's direction, though she looks across the way toward James as if for some reassurance which he gives with a nod.
"Hi," Misha eventually murmurs, smiling a little warily to the new people coming in.
Arms folded over his chest, James Hudson is doing his best to keep a low profile. Though he does sort of fit into the dynamic in some ways, curiously enough. The tall calm silhouette of the man keeps his place near the medical bay but out of immediate traffic, though he did share those few brief words with Kitty.
Yet at her suggestion he needs a looking at, "M'fine," He says, "Just got knocked over and discombobulated for a bit." Which, to be fair, is true.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks over and nods to the new faces, and says "If the Doctor is ok with it, got some snacks and drink here. He opens the platter, and there is pizza, as well as a fruit and veggie try. It also has a few cans of coke, and a couple of bottles of water on it. Ah'm Sam btw, if there is anything ya need let me know." He does move back a bit though leaving the packs next to the table with the food, so he is out of Beast's way.

Hope Summers has posed:
"Hey, welcome," Hope offers to the girl with a quick smile, stepping around the serious medical emergencies to rummage in a cabinet. "Do we have any aloe? Or has anyone seen Logan, or Laura, or Gabby? Next time I'm wearing sunscreen," she grumbles under her breath as she moves bottles and bandages out of the way in her search.

Before she can find the aloe, though, something else starts to happen. Her senses have been on alert for the people on the grounds with healing factors. So when she picks one up...the red and pink start to fade from her skin, leaving only a smattering of freckles. "Oh, that's much better. Thanks," she sighs in relief, turning...only to not see any of the usual suspects. "Huh. Maybe they're upstairs."

Noriko Ashida has posed:
The food.  The fooooood.  If there's anything Noriko wants after an outing like this, it's a heaping pile of food that looks more like an exercize in organic Jenga usually than a plate of food.  Alas, the waft of nachos, pizza, and everything else has her longingly watching the food with slightly veiled lids and open mouth.  All that's missing is drool.

"If you mean /that/ 'Logan?'" Noriko snaps out of her reverie to quip with a thumb kicked out toward Mr. Hudson.

Henry McCoy has posed:
The nachos are set down for now, Henry moving over to wash his hands off. "Ah, I see. First time manifesting gifts, Miss Misha?" He asks as he scrubs, offering over a friendly smile. He nods to Mr. Hudson, a nod. "Better safe than sorry, it won't take but a moment and we'll make sure there aren't any lasting issues like concussions." The doctor explains, motioning to one of the other exam beds.

Moving then to Misha, he smiles. "Did this come up, all of a sudden? Or did you have other incidents of a less dramatic scale?"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde motions Hope towards the cabinet that contains some of the more mundane curatives like aloe. "Over there," she says, though then Hope appears to be healing herself and no longer needing it. Kitty doesn't think too much of it, figuring too that one of that group must be about somewhere in the base or up in the school.

She looks back to Misha. "Sometimes this kind of thing comes on gradually on its own. Or it could be brought out by a stressful situation, or something traumatic. Myself, it just came on gradually, but I had headaches. And my ability started activating on its own while I was asleep," he says.

Kitty gets herself some water and then looks to Jimmy. "We may be able to help with smoothing things over. But, we'll need to get word to her parents she's ok. I don't suppose you know them and would be able to help work that out?"

Jimmy Hudson has posed:
For his part, James Hudson might be the only one really thinking he's keeping a secret or so. Doesn't notice what Hope is doing beyond foraging around in the medbay. Doesn't pay any significance to what Noriko mentions almost casually. He's still there against the wall with his expression distant while offering a smile to that kid, Michelle when she glances over in his direction.
But then Misha's attention focuses fully on Hank and she smiles a little wanly, sadly. "Never anything else. I was just... standing there and trying to talk about the Maldives for my report and Brendon started running his mouth while I was trying to concentrate and..."
She lets that last word hang there, any other word left unspoken and replaced with a wide shrug of shoulders and upturned hands.
Then James pushes off the wall and gives a nod to Kitty, lowering his voice so he doesn't intrude on Michelle's conversation. "Yeah... yeah I talked to them a few times." He works at his lower lip thoughtfully, "My phone was fried, but I can look them up."
His brow furrows as he looks sidelong and then back and tells the young X-Man, "You guys got a... quite a set up." Which might be an understatement.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks over and says "It happens to all of, I blew a hole in the side of a mountain with my head, when my powers triggered." He offers to reassure the young girl. He does get himself one of the bottle of water to sip and try not to interrupt to much.

Hope Summers has posed:
Hope is certainly not the one to make any comments about people who look like other people. That's a very glass house she's living in. "How fried's the phone?" she asks, putting things back in the cabinet where she got them from now that she doesn't need them. "I might be able to cobble enough together to get the info off of it."

Noriko Ashida has posed:
Noriko gives Sam a sidelong glance.  To no one in particular, "Poor mountain.  Now it's only a hill."  Oh the shame.

Picking up on Misha's conversation that Noriko is trying not to railroad, she interjects in a pause in the conversation, "So he was being a dick?  That's enough to make anyone explode."  For her part, the story of her powers manifesting isn't offered so freely.

Henry McCoy has posed:
A nod, listening to Misha's comments. "Well, stress can bring our gifts to bear, quicker than normal." Hank smiles, moving over to fetch a reader from one of the drawers. "Now, if you will allow, I can prick your finger and get a drop of blood. Then we can suss out some of the abilities you have and see if they are something we can work on controlling." His bedside manner is calming, friendly and soothing.

"If you aren't up for that, I can understand." He assures. "You're not hurt, are you?"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty moves aside as Hank has Misha well in hand. She looks to Jimmy instead, nodding her head as she leans back against a counter. "Yes. Not exactly a usual operation. But we're some of the good guys. We work to help people, humans and mutants both," she tells him.

Of course there has been no mention of the school, with their guests sitting in the back where they can't even see out of the plane's cockpit to see where it flew to. Just the futuristic looking hallways have been seen since they left the plane and were ferried down the long passage to the base itself.

Kitty moves over to the computer. "What are her parent's nameS? I should be able to find a number for them," she says, starting to type as she brings up one of their search programs.

Jimmy Hudson has posed:
At Sam's comment Misha abruptly barks a sharp laugh, then almost instantly looks embarrassed as she lowers her eyes and then says with a hesitant smile. "That must've been messed up, man."
James shifts his weight to the other foot and looks at Hope then, lifting his chin in a nod of agreement then says toward Kitty, "Her full name is Misha Donovan, her mom's name is... Carol." His brow furrows as if trying to make sure he's got that right, "Dad is Stewart, think he's working at the scrap metal foundry there in Weehawken."
A glance to Hope, "Phone's back at the school m'afraid, figured it was zapped."
Misha doesn't hear the discussion about her parents, or perhaps is trying not to pay attention, instead she smiles at Noriko and lifts her hands, "He just likes to hassle me, he's not like, all bad. Just, you know. Mostly." She twists her lips with a smile, then takes a deep breath.
"I should call my folks." Even as she extends her finger to Beast and makes a face at him implying she's hurt. "No I'm good, I was... more scared about other people."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie shrugs a bit and gives a bit of a sheepish grin and says "Was plenty of mountain left." He offers . He leans back and takes a sip of the water, watching and listening for now. thinks for a moment about just how many people he has seen go through this.

Hope Summers has posed:
"I've seen //way// worse than a few explosions," Hope assures Misha. She doesn't go into detail, though. That would probably just be more traumatizing. No one needs to hear about the kid who melted. Still, she gives the inhibitor collar a cautious, wary look. Good use or not, it's still unsettling.

Noriko Ashida has posed:
Noriko squints slightly at Misha's last words about the boy. She's not buying it, though she doesn't believe that Misha's words are some wholesale deception.  "If you say so."  She doesn't push it.  There are more important things, and on lower charge, she actually seems to be able to read a room.

"Hey Doc.  You think this is passive?  She was building up some weird green energy."  Noriko's really hoping it isn't given her firsthand experience with such a mechanic in her own powers.  "Felt like it was connecting two points or something," she falls back on the closest thing she think of.  "Not a normal circuit."  The technical types who have no doubt taken some kind of collegiate intro physics class at some point in their lives probably catch on that she doesn't mean 'circuit' in a literal hardware sense, but in an electrical model sense.

Henry McCoy has posed:
The blood sample is taken, a bandage put over the pin prick. "There we go." Henry grins, moving over to one of the more complex consoles on the racks. The sampling is filtered in, the man hrming as the results come through. "Certainly Homo Sapiens Superior." He says, looking back to Misha. "Welcome to a whole new world." He says, good-naturedly.

He glances to the others. "We should remove the inhibitors if she's not feeling stressed. Are you calm? Relaxed?" He asks of Misha. His eyes are still on the readouts, finger scratching at his chin. "Fascinating gift, according to this... quantum collapse of a wave - creating a blast of focused energy."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty looks up the numbers, and gets her phone out, putting it into guest mode to lock out the various special features it possesses before bringing it over to Misha. "We can get you back home, though it would be best to talk about mastering your power so you can keep everyone safe around you," Kitty says. "For now though, just let them know you're ok, alright?"

She smiles and passes the phone over, then goes to grab an energy bar.

Jimmy Hudson has posed:
Misha looks nervously between the others and takes a deep breath, "Is that a good thing?" She asks, about entering the whole new world, and the wave function, not entirely understanding either of them. Though she is almost instantly sidetracked by the phone being handed to her. She accepts the cell with a quick smile and then starts to type out a few numbers...
And then in the next instant she's talking to her parents. Indeed, Cannonball might reflect, they've probably heard a similar conversation many times in the past. And they almost always start off with, "Hi, mom."
