Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
It wasn't exactly the kind of contract that most people who call themselves mercenaries look to take. But it had its own appeal to the right person. An elderly woman named Marge Diamond, whose dog, Tiffany had gotten out. She looked all over and couldn't find her. But eventually the dog came back, scratching at the door to be let in.

Only Tiffany was missing her collar, a beautiful pink one with little rhinestones on it that had been the poodle's birthday present. And there were sports logs shaved into her hair on either side. Marge had been quite sure it was this street gang down the way who had done it, and was offering a reward for the collar. Enough to risk one's life and limb over? Not to most.

But for anyone who did take up the case, finding the gang seems to be more difficult than expected. They probably aren't laying low over the theft of a dog collar and a grooming gone wrong. But that doesn't mean there aren't other things causing them to keep a low profile.

So for anyone investigating, it's time to hit the streets and find out what there is to be known about the group, who go by the name Los Hermanos. It's late at night, so not a lot of people out. But those who are, are probably more likely to have awareness of groups like street gangs. If not perhaps being as willing to share.

Over on a street corner, three ladies of the evenings are plying their trade. It's a slow night though, so they are mostly standing around talking, wearing fishnet, miniskirts, short dresses and the like. They are talking to a fourth lady though who doesn't appear to be working in that profession. A brunette wearing jeans and boots, and an old green army jacket as she speaks with the other women.

Wade Wilson has posed:
It is exactly the kind of contract that most people who call themselves mercenaries look to take. Los Hermanos, looking to move up in the world, shot down Don Esposito's son for an entirely different don, Don Bianchini.

Cultures coming together, holding hands, bringing this world together!

Wade Wilson has a plan.

He took a hit job on Los Hermanos from Don Esposito to take out select members of Los Hermanos, and he took a job with Don Bianchini to take out Don Esposito himself, and then he plans to take a job from the generals directly under Don Esposito to take out Don Bianchini.

What could go wrong?

Anyway, Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, in full costume, walks down the street covered in guns and looking like a full mercenary. "Los Hermanos! Come get these hands of fate! I banged //all// your mothers and didn't call back!" he shouts, trying to work up the whole street, knowing that eventually something will get back to the gangs themselves.

But when he spots Vanessa with the ladies of the evening, despite her clearly not being dressed like them, he slides over to her, holding out his red and black Deadpool logo card.

Deadpool.
Mercenary
Assassin
Superhero
Lover

"I will pay you five-thousand dollars and no less." he offers, not actually saying for //what//.

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
The man in the costume calling out the insults to the street gang that most of the people in the neighborhood step softly around, definitely draws some attention while he's still approaching Vanessa and the three ladies. The quarter look amongst one another, an eyebrow here or there going up at what the costumed man is doing.

Vanessa turns with the others to Deadpool as he walks up to her and offers the card. Her head tilts to the side a bit in curiosity as she takes it and reads it. A soft laugh results at the end of the card.

As the dollar figure is mentioned, one of the other ladies behind Vanessa, a raven-haired girl in fishnet, says, "I'll take it!" A blond beside her nudges that one. "You don't even know for what." The first shrugs her shoulders. "Five thousand? Does it matter?" she asks the other.

Vanessa turns to look at her, and the raven-haired young woman gets a little bit of a sheepish look under Vanessa's scrutiny. Turning back to Deadpool, Vanessa tells him, "Five thousand dollars? And for what?" as she looks down at the card again.

Wade Wilson has posed:
"Listen, I don't normally partake in ladies of the evening, I am an upstanding, law abiding gentleman. Hold on." Wade turns away from them to shout, "Los Hermanos, I have multiple guns and a mighty immortal and extremely sexy mercenary body, I swear it's sexy and I'm not compensating for a horrible disfigurement to impress this incredibly beautiful sex worker! So you better come out or I'm coming in!"

He clears his throat, turning back to Vanessa. "Anyway, as I was saying. Five-thousand dollars, come to my place, order Chinese, let me vent about my love triangle with Harley Quinn and a woman with six arms, and then absolutely nothing happens after that, but what you feel like doing after I read you my personally well-crafted poetry, well, I can't control that!"

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
The woman don't seem to know quite what to make of the costumed man. Vanessa looks over at the other girls and then back to Wade. "Well, if you keep yelling at that particular group, I don't know if you'll be able to keep that date," she tells him. "They are kind of protective about their turf," she says, glancing around as if almost expecting them to materialize at any moment.

"Take him up on it, Vanessa," one of the girls says. "Yes," another says, "What could go wrong going home with a guy who drastically overpays after trying to piss off a street gang?"

Perhaps she meant that a little sarcastically.

Vanessa looks back to Wade, her hands going into the pockets of her jacket. "Well, I don't do that anymore anyway," she tells him, though confirming that apparently she once did. "So are you the one that's been after them lately?" she asks, eyeing Wade up and down for a moment.

Wade Wilson has posed:
"Anymore? God//damnit//!" Wade walks over to kick a trash can, then hurts his foot, bouncing up and down as he holds it for a moment. "I'm always late to the party!"

But, looking back at her while standing on one foot, he confirms, "Oh yeah, they have a hit on their head. They killed Don Esposito's son! Or maybe it was Bianchini's... oh fuck I'm getting my whole plan mixed up. Well, the important thing is that I have to shoot a few of them to get paid."

He puts his foot down, then holds a hand up, looking from one woman to another. "Now, I don't want you to be alarmed, but I //am// going to star firing my gun into the air. But I am //not// going to allow any of you to get hurt." He motions to Vanessa. "I mean, I have a first impression to make here. Please watch closely."

He walks away from them and into the street, pulling out a glock and holding it in the air. Then he fires a few times. "Los Hermanos, I'm very serious!"

Looking over at Vanessa and the others, he holds up a shushing finger to his lips and whispers, "Don't worry, I have this all under control!"

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
Most of the women look back and forth at Wade hurting his foot, though Vanessa can be heard laughing softly. Not laughing at Wade so much as being amused. "Sounds like you're really getting into this deep then," she says of the involvement in the organized crime killings.

She looks a little less certain when Wade makes good on his promise, stepping out into the street and firing his gun. Vanessa turns towards the other girls, saying quietly, "Think maybe you should call it a night, quick," she tells them. That seems enough to get them to hurry off, not even looking upset at the possible loss of five thousand dollars. Probably didn't think that they would actually get paid that much anyway. Not when $275 gets someone 48 minutes of whatever the fuck they want. Five grand?

Vanessa looks around, eyes darting more than turning her head. No signs of reaction yet other than a few curtains being pulled down in windows of the surrounding buildings. "So what's the plan if they come out? Just start shooting?" she asks.

And then there is a reaction. A man steps out of a doorway near Vanessa, wrapping an arm about her throat and putting a gun to her head. "Yeah vato, what's the plan?" he asks. Three other men step out, two from an alley, and one from around a corner on the other side, leaving Wade with four opponents in three directions, and one of them with Vanessa as a hostage.

Wade Wilson has posed:
A second glock immediately comes out, aimed at the man who has Vanessa, while the other is sort of moving from one man to another. "You better drop the girl, if you don't drop the girl you're //going// to die! If you shoot her you're going to die. If you let her go you might not die! The point is... you fucked up!" Wade warns and threatens, tilting his head as he calculates an angle.

"Okay, let's make a deal. My ultimate sacrifice. It's true, me and her, Sally Fields, we've been dating for a long time, she's the love of my life." He drops his glocks, holding his hands up. "Shoot me, let her go!"

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
The gang member holding Vanessa has a prison tattoo that suggests he's done hard time already, though he's just in his late twenties. "You been calling us out? Well you got us now," he says. "You think you can treat us like bitches in our own turf, vato?" he asks, not taking the gun away from Vanessa's head.

Not, that is, until Wade drops both of his guns. "Now that's an offer we accept," he says. He pulls the gun away from Vanessa and opens fire on Wade. As do the other three gang members, all of them armed with handguns.

The sounds of the gunshots echo off the buildings, sound reflecting back even as new shots are fired, filling the area with the sounds as all four men are unloading their guns into Wade as rapidly as they can.

Wade Wilson has posed:
Wade gets shot up, bullets going through brain, body, legs, everything, until he's on the ground, coughing, dying.

He looks over at Vanessa, holding his hand out. "Remember me... as the man who sacrificed himself for you within the first few minutes of meeting you, and how if there was some miracle that would make him come back to life, you'd definitely bone him..."

And then he gasps his last breath, and lays there.

There's a silent few moments, and then suddenly Wade sits up like the Undertaker, and immediately tosses a knife into the knee of the man that was holding Vanessa, another knife into the head of one of the men who shot him, and then he rolls over to one of his dropped glocks and grabs it, firing at the heads of two other men.

The point is, he wants to keep the one who was holding Vanessa //alive//. "Wow what a--" He raises his mask, then starts to choke up a few bullets like hairballs.

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
Vanessa didn't expect Wade to give up his guns, nor the men to start shooting him. It's too late for her to act though as she sees Wade's body jerked about by all the rounds that hit him. "No!" she yells, and whirls about, punching the man who was holding her in the throat and causing him to stagger back.

That's where he's at when Wade's knife catches him in the knee. He goes down, grabbing at his leg while also struggling to breathe. Vanessa? She turns back towards Wade, eyes wide as he's back moving again. Which is good because the other gang members are reloading, probably to pay Vanessa back for what she did to the one who was holding her.

"How...?" Vanessa asks as she faces Wade. She's not overly freaking out about the men getting shot in the head, though she did flinch quite a bit when it happened.

Wade Wilson has posed:
"My desire to pay you $5000 to Netflix and chill was enough to heal my wounds and bring me back from the dead." Wade answers as he aims his gun back to fire into one of the men's bodies again, when he thinks he might be moving.

"Now //this// motherfucker!" He grabs the collar of the guy with the knife in his knee, then points a gun at his head. "I'm trying to solicit this woman's sexual services while trying to hunt your gang down, and you have the nerve to take her hostage?"

A pause, and he considers. "You know, that might be a little fair. But the point is, where's your gang hangout?" he asks, before whipping the man in the side of the head. "If you tell me I'll let //her// decide what I do with you. With her beautiful eyes..."

Vanessa Carlysle has posed:
The gang member is groaning and writhing while holding his knee. He's smart enough not to pull the knife out and let it start bleeding worse, but oh he's in pain. As Wade puts his gun to the guy's head he groans. "What are you, some kind of mutant freak?" he says angrily.

And then he grunts, as the toe of Vanessa's boot lands in his rib. "Toepick," she says. Not that she's wearing figure skates, but it's a saying. The kick makes him groan more, though the gun to his head, literally, has more of his attention than the kick now.

"It's back of the barber shop, on Elm," he says, eyes darting from Wade to Vanessa and back again. Vanessa stares at him for a few moments before slowing nodding her head as if she believes him.

She looks to Wade. "Don't kill him. There's enough killing in New Lots already. Just, make sure he's not going to go back to his old ways," she says.

Wade Wilson has posed:
"Wow, racism! And in front of this innocent Latina... Brazilian...? She's definitely from a respectable country with a noble and rich culture and history, so I won't tolerate racism!" Wade smacks the man with his gun again.

When she kicks the man in his ribs, Wade says, "I love you... I mean, what I mean is I pub you, as in, we should have drinks."

That was smooth, nailed it!

Then, looking to Vanessa and her request, he nods. "I'm a man of my word."

Pushing the man onto his back, he presses the gun against his crotch, holding him down with the other hand. "Do you feel my gun? That is the visceral emotional feeling of having a gun pressed against your dick! If you go back to a life of crime, I will hunt you down and //shoot your dick off//, do you understand???"

He pulls out another one of his cards, tossing it onto the man's chest. "Now, you better call me and I'll find you gainful employment using my many rich white contacts who should really be spreading their privilege around a bit more so we can finally tackle this prison industrial complex!"

Looking over at Vanessa, he gives her a thumbs up. "That's right, sweetie. I'm woke."
