Cast of Characters: Kitty Pryde, Elektra Natchios

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde had made an appointment to see Elektra. Not in an official business capacity, she'd just mentioned she wanted to discuss something from when they had met previously. Elektra and Kitty were both at worker's awareness event sponsored by Wilson Fisk, though actually Kitty had in mind a different event that Elektra doesn't know Kitty was at.

She heads up to Elektra's condo, carrying a pet carrier that is closed up so people cannot see inside. Kitty's wearing a leather jacket, black denim pants and boots, with a light sweater with strikes of black and various shades of grey.

She reaches the door and rings the bell, standing there with a soft smile on her face to greet Elektra with when the door opens.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
When Elektra received the indication of an appointment there was mild surprise. Specially when she saw the name. Kitty Pride. She had met her in the charity event, the girl apparently knowing Luke in some kind of capacity. And she had seemed rather intelligent. So curious as she was a reply was sent for the girl to meet her up at her 'small' penthouse on one of the lush apartment buildings in Manhattan.

Security was visible on the lower levels of the building but as one got up to the penthouse there was none in sight. As if they were either hiding too well or the woman simply didn't wish for them. When the door opens Elektra is visible there, dressed in more casual wear, a pair of slim fitting pants, a dark red blouse and without the usual jewelry normally adorning her form to the exception of a single silver ring on a finger, it engraved with some kind of old language along with a signet of a goat's head in it.

"Miss Pride." She says in her flowing manner even if the hint of an accent can be heard on her voice. "I was surprised to receive word you wished to meet. But please, come in." she gestures elegantly to the place even as her dark gaze strays to the covered pet carrier, curious.

At the entrance there's a line of shoes, and she is barefooted as well which most likely indicates she is the type to not enjoy people wearing shoes inside.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty comes inside, giving Elektra a bright smile. "I know this is probably seeming a bit out of the blue, so thank you for seeing me," she says. As Kitty notes the shoes, she removes her own and sets them beside the others.

Once that is done and she's in her socks, Kitty glances around the beautiful condo. "You have a very nice place," Kitty says, eyes going to the infinity pool and to the decore before swinging back to Elektra herself.

"So I won't keep you in suspense on why I wished to speak with you," Kitty tells her with a faint grin. "And, well, I figure a picture's worth a thousand words, so..." Kitty hefts the pet carrier a bit to indicate it, and then opens up the door. She reaches her hand to the front and when she withdraws it, there is a familiar little purple dragon clinging to her hand.

Kitty sets down the pet carrier and moves Lockheed up to her shoulder. The same dragon that Elektra saw with the girl who helped the Defenders escape the warehouse that the Hand tried to burn down with them still inside. It's rather distinctive. And the hair and build, Kitty could easily have been the dragon's masked, costumed companion.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
The door is closed behind them, once Kitty has fully stepped in and taken out her shoes, now alone with the assassin. There is quite the elegant poise to her but also a certain curiosity, one that perhaps makes her more approachable than would otherwise be. She has been known to be quite the ice queen at times afterall. Yet at the comfort of her lair she appears almost .., 'normal'.

"The perks of my father having been a rich man." She explains about the house, gesturing vaguely. She says it as an afterthought. As if money was of little interest to her. Or perhaps she just has so much that it loses value. Yet Kitty has seen the other side of her already.

"Join me in the living room." She offers. "Mayhaps I can offer you a drink." she then adds, a faint smile framing her features. Though as Kitty then gets to the bottom of the question and reveals Lockheed she looks at it a moment. "So the Kitty is out of the bag..." a brief snort leaving her nostrils but she seems more amused than not.

"I knew there was something more about you when I saw you with Luke. I never got to thank you properly for your aid in our fight. Come." She begins to walk further into the house. "So you are Shadowcat. I am certain I do not need introduction."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty follows along behind Elektra into the living room then. "I don't make it a habit of revealing myself like this. But I figured it was probably the best way to get involved in helping you guys. It seems like you are fighting the good fight, and those you were with that I know, have good reputations," Kitty tells her.

She hrms quietly. "I haven't told Colleen yet. We're pretty good friends actually. I was very surprised to find her there," she says.

Kitty leaves the pet carrier behind by the door, following Elektra into the living room. "And a drink would be wonderful. I got used to being able to have such things when I was at school in the UK. I can't say how frustrating it is to come home and lose that right," she says.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Elektra sways her way towards the bar, reaching for a bottle and asking. "Martini?" She will begin preparing a couple if Kitty's response is affirmative, or another drink if she suggests so, practiced in her motions. She is used to entertain and receive guests afterall. "We have been fighting them for a while now. The Hand. You know who they are?" She asks, casting a look over her shoulder to watch Kitty with one of those dark orbs, studying her, along with dragon. There is still a curiosity there.

Her expression does seem to soften just a notch when Colleen is mentioned, specially when Kitty mentions being her friend. "Good. She needs those. Colleen has been through .., a lot. The past has not been kind to her. It is a wonder how she came out so ..., lively."

"I used to carry a false ID when I was young." She confesses. "I simply could not abide to the rules here in the States. Though I always had the diplomatic immunity card if things went wrong." a smirk. And it's sort of telling that it's clear things did go wrong in the past.

"What is your story, Kitty? And that of your dragon? It is unusual to see such a pairing.."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty gives a quiet laugh and says, "I'd have never thought I'd be someone to get a false ID. But yes, I have one now too. I don't even drink that much. It just annoys me that I cannot, you know?" She nods in agreement to the martini, moving over to take a seat. Lockheed is just content to ride on her shoulder, eyes returning Elektra's curious looks with his own.

Kitty notices that and motions to him. "This is Lockheed," she tells Elektra. "My bestie. Well, I have a few of those. Certainly amongst dragons," she says. "And... The Hand. I can't say I'm too familiar with them. I researched them after but just found some vague rumors among normal sources," she says. She didn't try to hack SHIELD or the Avengers or any one else who might have hard info. "So what is the story with them?" she asks.

As for her own story, Kitty says slowly, "Well, I'm a mutant. I've been working with superheroes since I was a teen. I was actually patrolling Colleen's area, making sure it was quiet and all, when I came across you guys. She had no idea I was out doing that of course," Kitty says. "Though normally I keep an eye on Bushwick more than Chinatown."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Sometimes it's not a question of drinking much but being forbidden of doing so, you know?" Elektra replies, not hiding that rebel streak of hers. But then she smirks. "Daredevil could tell you about that. We have known each other for awhile." she returns to where Kitty is at, offering one of the drinks over to her. "Here you go.." then a glance down to Lockheed and a brow arching. "What about Lockheed? What's his poison?" she asks. She imagines alcohol isn't something he appreciates but .., one can never tell!

"They are a secret organization. Criminal to some, saviors to others. They have been trying to get a foothold here in New York for a time now. A foothold that Daredevil has been helping me in stop, along with the rest of the Defenders." she says. "They border on the mystic, and their stay here in this city is related to a weapon they have been looking for for a few years now."

She paces towards one of the couches to ease herself down on it, gesturing for Kitty to join her. "Bushwick." She nods her head in understanding. "We will welcome your aid of course. And if the Defenders can help you in your endeavors you know they will be there." not that Elektra is actually *a* Defender. Or at least an official one. But that never stopped her from talking for the group!

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty takes the drink with a grateful smile. "Oh, I don't know that he drinks alcohol," she says. "He's probably good though," she says, looking over to the dragon who either doesn't understand the conversation or at least doesn't give any signs he is wanting for anything at the moment.

The younger woman looks back to Elektra then. "Ah. There was something about a weapon in the van, supposedly, if I remember right. Though it was just a setup I guess. Well, I am willing to help if I can. And I appreciate the offer as well. Things have quieted down gradually since the attack on Genosha," Kitty says. "Not that they are ever quiet, but at least, back to previous levels of unquiet," she says.

Her head tilts to the side a bit. "So you guys are a team then? Defenders?" she asks, giving a small nod. "Just let me know, I can give you my information to pass on. I guess I should probably talk to Colleen first, but she'd been a bit busy so I thought I'd start with you," Kitty says.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Well, you don't know what you are missing, little one." Elektra replies to the small dragon before she lifts her glass in a brief salute to Kitty, taking a sip out of it. She casts a look at the young girl, taking in her poise and demeanor for a moment, as if studying her. Eventually she does speak again, "A setup, yes. You are correct." she admits. "We have mostly been successful in stopping their attempts here in New York, but as of late they have gone quiet. My contacts inside them have also dried up, or at least a few I was using. It does make me wonder what they may be up to."

She nods about Genosha, lips pressed to a line. "The world has reached a point in which I do not believe it will ever be quiet again. But such is our way of life.." just before she shakes her head, "Daredevil is the one that leads them. I am mostly an outlier to the team but .., I suppose I can sometimes be considered one." she cants her head to the side, brushing one hand through her long, dark hair. "I have always preferred to work solo in the past. Yet I shall pass the info along. And you already know both Luke and Colleen too. Does Luke know who you are? Besides Kitty Pride, computer wiz?" an amused little grin appearing on her lips.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty looks a little surprised. "Luke is part of them? I realized he has powers, though we haven't had a chance to talk about it since we helped save people from an accident. Gasoline tanker, leaking... not a good situation. And I figure he saw me using my power as well, though I'm not positive, he was a little occupied. Well, that's even better. I know Luke decently well, yes. Even better if he's part. I really need to get back together with him," she says.

The young woman lets out a breath in a soft sigh. "Yes, I try to keep the rest quiet of course. Even the team I usually work with, we stay out of the public eye as much as we can," Kitty says. "So it goes without saying, appreciate discretion there. And the same returned to you of course," Kitty says. "So these Hand, any idea who the leadership are? Are they based out of Japan or somewhere else?"

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Secrets are part of the business. Of course you can count on my discretion, Kitty." Elektra replies, as if there was no doubt about so. "You did give me a show of faith by coming here and revealing your secret, it is the minimum I can do and respect it." The talk about Luke then earns a nod from the Hand assassin, she saying, "I haven't visited his bar in ages, perhaps sometime soon I will go there."

The talk about leadership has her shaking her head, "Not fully. There are names here and there. Nobu, Bakuto. But they are shadows, they do not so easily reveal themselves out there. It's part of their method of operation, smoke and shadows. Misdirection is part of their training." she does seem quite aware of the way they work and operate for some reason.

"They are rooted in Asia, Japan included. And it's where their strength is more visible. But they have been expanding out to the rest of the world as well."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
The lack of recognition of the names by Kitty doesn't resolve some of her concerns she has inside, but it isn't a bad sign at the least. She gives a slow nod. "I figured, since your own identity was known to me, this would be the fairest way of letting you know you could trust me there," she says.

A soft hrm sound is given. "Well, I'm willing to help out if you get any leads. I did run down a place that made deliveries to that warehouse, and ran into two other heroes who were investigating it as well. Though they had already cleaned it out and there weren't any leads there," she says. "If there's anything you'd like me to help look into, just let me know. I'm pretty handy with a computer for more than doing corporate IT work," she says.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Ahhh." Elektra says about that comment on doing more than corporate IT, a bit of a knowing grin appearing on her features. "They had some dealings with Roxxon as of late, and even if they have mostly been cutting ties with them, literally, there may be something remaining still." she explains, leaning back on her couch and pausing to sip on her martini, savoring it. "The man killed during the warehouse assault was one of those men." no emotion on her words as she speaks of it.

"There might be something you can retrieve out of his personal files, if they are still on their servers." She does look somewhat doubtful but.. "The man's name was Woolingsly. A high-level corporate man. Of course that it'd mean breaking into Roxxon's security. Which I am not sure that's something you'd be willing to do." she still isn't too sure how proficient Kitty is with those computers!

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty pulls out her phone and types into it. "Woolingsly," she says she records the name. "I'll see what I can find on him. And yes, that's the kind of thing I do, get that kind of information. Though Roxxon's security is not a meager thing. This could take some time," the Jewish girl says.

Another note typed into her phone. "And I'll see what else I can find on him. Personal accounts, bank accounts, etc. Any idea how things played out after his death? Was it considered an accident or a homicide or what?" Kitty asks. She'll find that out soon enough once she starts looking into him, of course, but it doesn't hurt to have an idea up front.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"A tragic accident." Elektra replies with a brief sigh. "Roxxon knows who to pay in order to keep their hands clean from involvement in these sordid businesses. No matter that the man was actually shot down." she says, "Truth is too relative these days." her eyes stray towards the large windows leading outside and up to the sky, "These people do not play around. They can even be more cutthroat than the Hand, albeit in a different kind of manner. So you'd do well to be careful. I wouldn't want having to be the one telling Colleen one of her friends has died, or disappeared."

Her gaze returns to again look Kitty over, "The girl has suffered enough."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty hrms quietly as she takes in the information. "I've had a few go rounds with sorts like that, if not this group in particular," Kitty says quietly. "I'll definitely be keeping on guard. And I take a lot of precautions when it comes to the computer investigations," she says.

Kitty leans back in her chair and takes a sip of the martini. Lockheed curls up on her shoulder, and she reaches up to give his head a little scritch which he leans into. "We can both stop by Luke's together sometime if you'd like," she offers. "Would be good to see him again, and it won't hurt to have more people there so he's comfortable talking about, well, the other stuff. The Defenders and all," she says.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"We shall make it happen." Elektra replies with a nod in agreement about meeting at Luke's bar. But soon enough there's an amused look on her expression. "Even if I am not sure he needs me to be comfortable. If anything I might make him uncomfortable." clearly there's some untold story there. Not that she seems to be too much in the sharing mood. But there's always been an aura of mystery around this woman.

"And you seem to have liked the pool, maybe you and Colleen can come over one day and we can have a little time at the pool." She offers. "Could be good to relax from all the troubles of late." a fingertip flicks over her ring before she takes another sip, relaxing back on the couch. Lounging even. It's her domain afterall. The den of the spider.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty gives a soft chuckle, just trying to picture the immense Luke Cage uncomfortable about anyone. She hasn't seen it at the least. Kitty takes another sip of her martini, having slowly worked her way through it over the course of the conversation. She sets it back down and gives a nod to Elektra. "Thank you for the drink," she says.

Kitty turns in her seat, craning her head to look back at the pool. "Oh that would be wonderful. The view from up here must be amazing," she says before turning back. "I should probably start getting back before it gets too late and I'm stuck in rush hour," she says, rising to her feet. "I'd enjoy talking more later. I'm sure you have some interesting stories with being an ambassador's daughter. On top of the other stories less suitable for public sharing," she says.
