Cast of Characters: Alopex, Kainashi

Alopex has posed:
Dateline: Days Later But Not Many Since Rat Attack

A familiar door, familiar scents, and familiar scenery. It had felt like ages since Alopex had set eyes on the home she called her own, and upon stepping past the front door, and some of the familiar 'treasures' of the Foxden, the tired arctic fox promptly plopped onto the mattress that was hers and remained still, with pack and gear on, for about a minute. After said minute, a quiet 'mmph,' and a rummaging for a phone commenced, followed by a series of familiar tones. Someone was ordering take out. Pizza? Pizza. She needed more than just a sandwich tonight.

Kainashi has posed:
A familiar door, familiar scents, and Kainashi was similarly exhausted, dropping her own pack first before dropping face-first into her beanbag, her tail wagging back and forth. "Hello, bed." she greets the bag, her voice muffled a moment before she lifts one ear, listening to the sound of buttons and tones.

"Pizza?" she questions, stretching her arms out a moment as she brings her head up. "... didn't get enough on the farm?"

Alopex has posed:
There's a muffled response at first as it rings, but before Woody picks up the line, Alopex answers: "I did. I just need more than a burger right now," the fox explains before putting in a typical order for the carnivores of the museum. Meat. And maybe some mushrooms. Click. Gracious Tip. Leave at typical spot.

Face into bed resumes for about another minute after phone is set down, locked. She could fall asleep RIGHT THERE but is pretty dedicated to not having EVEN MORE COLD PIZZA. That's what she got tired of, in all honesty, not the pizza itself. The next phrase may come as a surprise.

        "No patrols tonight."

Kainashi has posed:
"... bu-but what about --" the canine begins, sitting up a little. She holds her hand over her shoulder a moment, pursing her lips as she rubs the back of her head, and then gives out a soft huff, her ears drawing up.

"Yeah, I see your point." Kai replies quietly, and then just flops back to her back, stretching her legs.

"... 'Pex. Do you think Splinter meant it when he was talking about us bein' part of Clam Tomahto, or was that action-figure of speach?"

Alopex has posed:
Hmm. "No, I think he meant it," Alopex muses after stirring herself up to a sitting position. "Clan Yamato, must be him and the four brothers. It's... honestly a very kind thing for him to offer us. I'm not sure what it will mean for us here, if they will want us to move closer, or figure out how to coordinate faster but, well, they all have a lot on their plate right now. We should try to support them as best we can and we'll worry about the rest once things have settled down a little bit."

Kainashi has posed:
"... so, are we like, yojim... yojii... bodyguard-type-people?" she questions, her head tilting a moment, and then she sits cross-legged, regarding the older fox with curiosity.

Alopex has posed:
"I'm.. not sure yet. This all needs another talk with Master Splinter, or maybe Leonardo if he knows what Splinter is considering. So, for now, we just need to be paitent. They'll reach out when they're ready. For now? I say we just put on a movie and enjoy the night. "

Kainashi has posed:
"Faaaaair enough!" the younger canine states, collapsing back into her beanbag and giving a full-tooth-showing yawn, and looks upside-down at Alopex, studying her a moment.

"... cows are bigger than I thought."

Alopex has posed:
That gets a much needed laugh out of the fox. "Haha, yeah, they really are. I... i'm not sure I had seen one in person until then. There weren't any ... way up north." Alaska? Sure. Moose, Bears, Deer, but not cows. Not that she could remember much in that blur of her life. "I hope you enjoyed the sky out there, Kai. It isn't something you get to see here very often."

Kainashi has posed:
"Only when Donatello interrupts the power grid. The city can get reaaally dark." Kai replies, and she rubs the back of her head. "It's different out there, though. There's so many! And there's shapes. Like did you know there's *dogs* in the star, and there's even a *dog star*?" she questions.

Alopex has posed:
Another laugh, "Mmhmm! There is. Constellations, they're called. And there's a -lot- of them." Is there a fox? she couldn't even remember. It wasn't exactly a topic she got to learn about.

Kainashi has posed:
"Yep. Constellations." Kai replies with a smile, and then wrings her hands a little bit before she turns her attention back to Alopex.

"They're... our friends, right? Like, we're not going to up and leave them?" she asks, quietly. "'Cause they're nice to us, not like the Foot Clan?"

Alopex has posed:
Eh? "Hmm? No no, of course not. They're nothing like the Foot, thankfully. In fact, I'd see them as the opposite. I wouldn't want to desert them. They've been kind to us, and I'm not about to take it for granted."

Kainashi has posed:
"Good." Kai replies, and she takes a deep breath, then relaxes.

"It's... nice to be part of a real family, with so many people."

Alopex has posed:
"Agreed," Alopex even nods. Family was -wonderful-. A real one with no alterior motives like the Shredder had.. "Hmm.." Phone glance. "Who's turn was it to get the delivery..?" Ha. That felt like a real family thing to say... sharing small things like that.

Kainashi has posed:
"I'll fetch." Kai states as she hops up, and sticks her tongue out at Alopex as she reaches to grab her hoodie -- which was lost in battle. She gives a slight grump of her shoulders, and rubs at the back of her head.

"Well. I'll need a new hoodie."

Alopex has posed:
Oh, well that is a problem isn't it? "Take mine," she offers, giving her pack a push toward the canine. "Can see about finding a new one tomorrow."

Kainashi has posed:
"Naah, I'll just have to be sneaky, like a ninja!" the canine gives a grin, and makes an exit out of the museum, going to disappear into the night with the intent to find that elusive pizza drop point!

Alopex has posed:
That gets a grin out of Alopex. Training paying off! Clearly. While the pup is out, the fox gets off her duff and rummages around. TV. VCR/DVD combo player, electricity, and a random movie from a box of dvds she stumbled across one night.
