Cast of Characters: Levian, Andi Benton

Levian has posed:
It's true that Levian can sleep in most places, that tends to come with spending hundreds of years finding places to sleep in literally the most uncomfortable place in the universe; Hell.

It doesn't mean that he's comfortable, but he can certainly get to sleep.

Laying on her roof curled up next to the door like a dog, Levian is sound asleep. He's probably been sleeping for hours. He doesn't keep regular times. All of his eyes are closed of course, and he looks rather peaceful curled up in his denim jacket in the middle of the cold night.

Andi Benton has posed:
It was a patrol night for Mania, ranging from parts of Happy Harbor south this time, rather than into New York City proper. That's not the only place where things happen, but this was also an excuse for her to roam a few different areas. When there were no skyscrapers, she found, it was notably more difficult to swing from building to building via weblines. That didn't keep her from racing across rooftops, eventually leading to her getting back to her own neighborhood.

Landing atop the building after coming in from the one adjacent to it, she immediately paused as her all-white eyes centered on the sleeping form she spotted. It was familiar. What was he doing up here? Her head tilted as she approached, and with an all-black foot she nudged at the side of Levian's body.

Levian has posed:
Levian groans, all three of his eyes opening, before the middle one glasses again and he stares up at her. "Andi." he says, half-asleep. "Mania." he corrects, remembering the oddness of their symbiosis.

Finally starting to sit up, he yawns and streches, turning his head to look around the roof. "I'm hungry. I wish there were pigeons around..."

Andi Benton has posed:
"You," Mania answers in that mouthless way of hers, hands coming to rest at her hips, next to the spiked belt. "What are you doing sleeping on our roof?" she asks as a follow-up question, the thought of pigeons as a meal left behind as the face begins to peel back to reveal Andi's, framing it with a dark substance that flickers and rustles.

She goes on to say, "We were exploring. What were you doing? Besides.." A gesture follows toward the spot.

Levian has posed:
"I wanted to see you, but the roof door was locked, so I fell asleep instead." Levian explains simply enough, then slowly pulls himself up. "Can we go inside?" he asks, before adding, randomly, "I'm a government agent now."

Andi Benton has posed:
Andi frowns slightly, shaking her head. "My dad's up watching TV. He doesn't really know about all of this yet, and I really don't think he'd handle something like this very well." Ahh, secrets. "But I just turned eighteen the other day. Maybe we could.."

She freezes up, and the symbiote comes closer to flowing back over her face. "What do you mean, you're a government agent?" This raises a level of suspicion within her.

Levian has posed:
"I joined SHIELD, so that I can help protect humans and the world." Levian explains, touching around his head. He tucks his pointed ears under his hair a bit, and tries to hide his third eye slit behind his bangs a little more. "Just tell your dad that I'm your friend, I can look normal..."

Andi Benton has posed:
"Why does it feel like half the people I meet are in SHIELD?" Andi asks herself aloud, throwing up her hands - still Mania-ized - while looking toward the sky as if it would carry an answer to the question. She levels her attention back on him, the symbiote drawing back down to about her shoulders and neck to leave the rest of her head free. "Before you ask, I don't want anything to do with SHIELD. /We/ don't want anything to do with SHIELD."

Clearing her throat, she adds quickly, "And sorry, but I can't bring you inside." A pause, and she suggests, "I could text him and let him know I'll be out a little later, though."

Levian has posed:
"I can't get a normal job, and I want to learn more about human laws and how things work. It's also my instinct to require structure and organization." Levian starts to walk around on all fours, sniffing the ground. "I was told to try to estimate my age in human years, relative to demon years. I guessed that I'm somewhere in my twenties, maybe."

"No pigeons..." He grunts, then walks over to Andi, still on all fours before he sits down a bit like a dog. "Andi, you got food?"

Andi Benton has posed:
Andi Benton snorts. "I hate structure, and rules, and all that shit," she remarks, crossing her arms to signify her defiance before her head angles again toward one side as he estimates his age. "So you're..young? Sort of?"

The way he approaches her before sitting in a very animalistic way results in her hands placed at her hips again. "We could go get some, but the more you walk like that..you make me think of an animal."

Levian has posed:
"Sorry, I'm hungry so I stopped thinking about walking like a human." Levian stands up, though his posture is still a bit bad, so he hunches a little, as usual. "I'm very young for a demon. People ask me questions like 'is there a heaven', or how does this or that work. I don't really know much more about the universe than you. In Hell I mostly know what I see, and rumors."

He considers this, then looks down at the roof. "Does your dad tell you everything about this world?"

Andi Benton has posed:
"We don't..walk around like that when we're hungry," Andi explains, realizing even after having met him a couple times, there's a whole lot about Levian that confuses her. And, that's coming from someone who is bonded to a symbiote. "And I'm not really looking to see any part of Hell now or at any other time, so I'll take your word for it on that stuff."

A hand runs through her head and she keeps a few feet worth of distance apart. "He's taught me some stuff, but you can also watch the news and read history books if you really want to." She scans the neighborhood from her vantage point. Should she suggest going somewhere else?

Levian has posed:
"You're a different species." Levian points out, and then slowly steps back until he drops against the wall of the building entrance, sitting back. "I don't think there's newspapers in Hell, but I always avoided cities unless I was summoned or ordered, so there's a lot of things I've never seen or experienced."

"I think I'll wait up here for a while, until a pigeon comes." he decides, staring around like a hawk.

Andi Benton has posed:
Andi Benton's mouth draws to a thin, flat line. "We are very different," she says, and it might be tough to be sure if she means Andi and Levian, or Andi and Mania, or some mixture of all. "I guess word carries other ways there." Again a hand raises. "Not that I need to see for myself."

A shake of the head leads to her moving in the direction of the rooftop access door, which she unlocks with a key. "You might be waiting a while. I think they go nest or whatever at night. But next time? Why don't you just text me and say you want to meet somewhere? Waiting up here..not cool." She excuses herself, pending any reaction of his.

Levian has posed:
"You won't give me your number." Levian says as he finally takes his phone out, showing his number to her. "I'll text next time."
