Synopsis: Oliver Queen gives T'Challa a tour of Watchtower
Cast of Characters: Oliver Queen, T'Challa

Oliver Queen has posed:
The JLA were finally back together. It had been a matter of personal joy for Oliver. First when Superman had returned from the dead. Then when they had worked together to get the base going, both back on earth and the one on the moon. It was certainly a marvel of engineering, a testament to the will of both the human spirit and the strength of the bond between those in the Justice League..

And their numbers were growing, more having returned and stepped out of inactivity and a few new faces. One of those was T'Challa, the King of Wakanda. A man that Oliver had yet to meet in detail. An invitation had been sent for Black Panther to join Green Arrow up at the base for a tour, the secret codes for the teleport use given..

He was waiting, arms crossed over the dark green leathers of his suit, domino mask on and the hood covering his head. Bow and arrows were of course a feature because there was always the chance of an attack. They had enough enemies out there...

But right now his blue eyes were looking up at the earth, thoughtful.

T'Challa has posed:
The teleporter hums as its circuits fire up and activate the components that begin reassembling an incoming traveler. The body forms quickly, in just a small flash of light, leaving behind T'Challa of Wakanda. He's wearing a black sleeveless jacket with purple trim, a match for the shirt and pants beneath. Traditional Wakandan royal garb. His hands rest behind his back as he looks around, observing the teleporter machinery. "Remarkable," he says before focusing his attention fully on Green Arrow and moving off of the arrival pad to greet him.

"Thank you for the invitation. I realize things have been quite hectic of late. Which I suppose is all the more reason to meet," he comments in his softly African accents. He offers Green Arrow his hand to shake, putting any uncertainty about forms of greeting out of the way.

Oliver Queen has posed:
"Tell me about it ..." Oliver says in way of comment about the 'remarkable', and very much agreeing. It was still a marvel what technology could do. He smiles faintly, not as grim as often one can see him either on the papers or on a mission, extending an hand to shake T'Challa's. "Welcome." he says, the modulator off. No need for the cavernous voice up here. The grip is firm, brief, as it should be. "I have been wanting to find a chance to talk to you ever since you joined up. Might as well connect that with a trip about the base up here." he gestures to the view of the Earth they have from the observatory. "I imagine this isn't your first time up in space, is it?" in truth, he didn't particularly follow the Avengers accomplishments. Had they been in space? Maybe!

"I heard you were quite the sensation at the Halloween party though." Some amusement on his tone.

T'Challa has posed:
T'Challa's eyes swing over to the enormous window that gives a view out onto the lunar surface. "Not my first time. But also? Not the kind of thing that would have gotten old," he says with a quiet, warm chuckle.

His gazes swings about the surface of the Moon, even if he's been to space, he hasn't moonwalked. He offers another quiet chuckle. "Thank you. I was fumbling for a costume idea and another put the idea into my head," he says with a soft shake of his head and a laugh as if still not believing he went through it.

T'Challa motions towards Green Arrow's quiver. "I imagine you must have already tried a few arrow shots? To see just how far you can shoot with the lessened gravity?" he asks, a soft, lopsided smile forming. "I wonder..." he pauses a moment, mentally thinking and says, "Probably not able to launch one into orbit then," as if he'd done the math. "But still a prolific distance."

Oliver Queen has posed:
Oliver follows T'Challa's look out the window with a slow nod. "It never does." he agrees. He's never been one to be out there too often, being rather tame where it comes to technology. "A good idea nonetheless." About the costume. "But everyone seemed to have followed the theme of the party quite well, lot of original outfits." though then he gestures for the man to walk with him. "But come, lets take a walk. I can show you a bit more of the base. Most of it is private, for members of the Justice League so our privacy is secured up here. We do have a wing for scientists and R&D though." a faint grin. "Diana's idea. She wanted this not to just be a base but also something that could aid mankind."

He starts walking down one of the hallways, leading towards the Hangar. As the door opens there's a spaceship visible there. Not big, but enough for transport.

He considers the question about shooting arrows in space. "Well, without gravity it can really travel. I haven't tried shooting the earth though." he laughs. "But it would disintegrate on entry though one way or another."

T'Challa has posed:
As T'Challa walks along with Green Arrow, he gives a wry smile and a soft chuckle. "There she goes again. Thinking about all of humanity first," he says of Diana while giving a mock shake of his head at the notion.

The African walks alongside Oliver, his hands returning to be clasped lightly behind his back as he looks over each part of the Moon base that they walk through. "So how many members of the League are kept on duty at a given moment? I suppose it is a little less important. Having very many members on duty, when you can relocate people with such speed," he comments.

T'Challa glances back down the hallway. "I wonder if there are those on Earth who are already scheming ways to block the transporter. Enemies of the League and such," he comments, frowning slightly. "It might be good, if responding to situations, to have a test done before each deployment. To avoid someone being lost to such a thing?"

Oliver Queen has posed:
"Up here? We try to have two. It's true that with the teleporting it's become .., less urgent." Oliver says, hands resting on his hips as he takes a moment to look at the hangar. They don't linger much, he continuing on to show the rest of the base, including the recreational area, the living rooms. "There are rooms for each of us up here as well. One has been prepared for you, in case you may wish or need to stay here for a set period of time." or a dire emergency.

T'Challa's suggestion about testing the teleporter receives a grunt of response. It's one of acknowledgement and eventually Oliver nods at it. "It is a good idea. The tech is mostly kryptonian, and while it wouldn't be easy to hack or meddle with we have had an attack a few months ago from a few." he frowns faintly. "But teleporting something ahead of us to make sure it hasn't been tampered with is an idea to bring up to the group." he says. "I will make sure to put it up as something to go forward with."

T'Challa has posed:
"Or even, if you run into a forcefield blocking the destination. I would imagine," T'Challa muses quietly, "That there are already some failsafes. And forethought. But, it never hurts to make sure it has been considered," he comments.

They walk through the halls, T'Challa's steps quiet (as he's wearing Shuri's 'sneakers' as they make their way through the base. "The spacecraft. Is there a training simulator for it? Or any sort of standard control scheme for it, such as the Avengers have for the quinjets?" he inquires.

The man's gaze swings back over to Green Arrow. "So are you and Clint Barton very well acquainted?" he inquires. "With the mutual interests and all," he says, hand making a little gesture along with the question.

Oliver Queen has posed:
"There is." Oliver points with his thumb back to the hangar, saying. "We have some pods for training. Mostly Batman's doing." of course! "Though we have brought it out a few times already. We can take a look at the simulators later if you wish." he pauses as they go past the recreation rooms, all ready to entertain heroes who may be resting up after long hours on duty.

"That knave? Yes, we know each other well." A snort. "Let's just say we try to at least have a contest each year to see who is the sharpest marksman of us both." last one had been a few months back. Results? Who knew! And Oliver isn't telling.

"It helps keep us both sharp. Do you know him well?" he then asks.

T'Challa has posed:
T'Challa moves slowly through the hallways with Oliver, strolling in much the same casual way that he would in his palace, or the Avengers Mansion. So the fact he's actually on the Moon does tickle him a bit though he keeps it inside. "Reasonably well, though I have not had as much time with him as the other Avengers," T'Challa says. "My duties keep me away from New York as much as I'm there," he says.

He makes a gesture back down the hallway that they came from. "I believe this was part of why Kara Zor-El encouraged my joining. What gave her the idea originally. The ability to move back and forth between Wakanda and New York would allow me more time for both helping my country, and the world," he says. "Though not the only reason, either. The Justice League? Well, it goes without saying the reputation of the group. This has been quite an honor for me, the invitation," he says.

Oliver Queen has posed:
"Yes, it was one of the advantages she presented when she spoke about you joining with the rest of us." Oliver admits with a nod back to the panther, continuing on his way down the halls. They reach another room, this one an expansive one, filled with servers, computers, monitors and high tech devices. Clearly the place where things are kept monitored. "The monitor room." he says, "It's where we spend most of our time up here as of late. If there is a threat we know it first here."

"He is in SHIELD too, I imagine that like with us we mostly only meet when there's an emergency. We all have our lives outside of here." it had been one of the reasons that had made them break off once Superman had died. They each had their own life going on, their own people to protect. But it was something he was trying to change.

"We are happy to have you with us. You have already proven yourself quite capable when we worked together against that gigantic creature."

T'Challa has posed:
T'Challa nods at Clint's being a member of SHIELD. "Yes, several of the Avengers are," he comments quietly. "It is difficult when losing a leader such as he. I am glad that it turned out to not have been the case in the end," he says.

T'Challa stops, looking over... what is he looking at. The air purifiers it looks like, his head tilting to the side. A definite sense that he is interested in the technical aspects of the station. Of what it takes to keep a base on the moon habitable and safe.

He continues on with Oliver. "And yourself? I understand you focus on Starling during much of your own time to yourself. How are things progressing there?" he asks.
