Location: Student Gardens
Synopsis: Noriko takes Emma out for a walk while everyone is eating. Rachel is treated like a hall monitor. Emma is a good girl but doesn't get treats.
Cast of Characters: Noriko Ashida, Emma Frost, Rachel Summers

Noriko Ashida has posed:
It's rather chilly tonight.  This hour is the main cattle call for the children's evening feed, and while almost everyone is having dinner, Noriko went down to return to where Emma was left.  How much time does she have?  In her mind?  The speedster has infinite time.  Someone teach her what math and physics are.

Without a word, Noriko jerks her head to toward the door.

The garden is expectedly barren this time of year, which means there's less people rooting around it, and in fact, right now it's a ghost town.  A breeze nips pleasantly for some and less so for others.  Chapped lips and red-cheeked already from earlier jaunts, Noriko leads Emma along silently, through the Mansion, out across the somewhat crunchy grass along the backyard.  Or...that's her intent.

Emma Frost has posed:
Wearing a basic Xavier's School themed Hoodie and sweatpants, Emma Frost walks beside Noriko, but doesn't say anything as she follows the path trod by the younger mutant. Emma doesn't speak, just walks. Hands behind her back, regal as ever despite her borrowed attire and the large clunky piece of metal around her neck. Yeah. She's a mutant walking around the Xavier school grounds with a power dampening collar on. The irony isn't lost, but she's not speaking of it. Not yet.

Rachel Summers has posed:
As the pair step out of the Mansion, someone else is just returning. A redhead in a leather jacket and jeans that look painted on, with a bike helmet dangling from her fingers. She does a little double-take at the sight of the pair passing by, and slows her roll to look them over carefully, with a characteristic lack of affect. "You two lost?" comes the query after a moment's pause.

Noriko Ashida has posed:
With all of the electronics in at the school, the power (needed to run it and...well all the other things most don't see), Noriko's been passively absorbing electricity for quite awhile now.  Without her metal gauntlets, she's bristling with electricity on the regular, every little inner process having their own affect on the way it moves, every little thought might twitch a bolt out further or make everything swell, but nothing so dramatic as that has happened.  It just seems to build on her from nowhere.

Noriko moves strangely, keeping her rigidly arms tucked close to her stomach, her hands tense fists.  She shuffles, taking smaller steps and distances herself further from Emma, though always keeping her in sight.  They can't be more than 5 feet from each other, which is not even a moment away for Nori.  The electric blue-haired teen is wearing her bright lime green backpack, a cheap piece of crap that either doesn't even have a brand or she ripped all that crap off.  She's got some patches on it.  She's wearing some cargo pants and a hoodie with fraying at the edge of the cuffs.

"Have you had anything to eat yet?"  The question is to Emma, but she stops and looks back to Rachel.  "Not at all.  Are you?"  Nori's only been at the School for about a year and a half.  She also hasn't really been paying attention to people in general save to blow them off.  She squints at Rachel, thinking to herself, 'I could take her.'

"I'm Noriko."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma stops as soon as Rachel comes into view, content in the silence between her and Noriko but then the redhead is approaching and speaking. The White Queen, now likely no longer a member of the club, looks to Noriko as she speaks and takes in a deep breath of the cooler air, choosing not to answer the question about her eating.

Looking to Rachel, Emma lifts her chin and somehow looks down her nose towards the redhead and squints briefly before she lowers her chin, semi-trying to obscure the collar she wears, keeping her telepathy at bay. Emma stands statuesque and waits to see how the conversation between Noriko and Rachel goes.

Rachel Summers has posed:
Green eyes rove from Nori to Emma, and linger there a while as the redhead takes her time considering the White Queen and former Hellfire proprietor. Whatever her thoughts on *that*, they remain firmly obscured. The collar, though, makes her frown; seeing a fellow telepath effectively neutered like this, after all she's been through. She swallows, and turns back to Noriko.

"I think I've seen you around." The helmet's tucked under her arm, and the feel of her mental barriers sliding into place is like smooth steel interlocking barricades, without so much as a seam left behind. "Where are you taking her?" Emma, she probably means.

Noriko Ashida has posed:
"I'm a student...Who are you?  You look kind of familiar," Nori says quickly like someone sped her up without winding up her pitch.  She's slipping, letting go and relaxing as she lets her charge ride.  Her arms relax a little, but she takes a step back, coincidentally at the same time that Rachel asks where Nori is taking Emma.

"To the garden.  It kind of sucks to be cooped up.  Where are you going?"  Probably should have asked that first, she thinks to herself.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma looks towards Rachel, and spies the familiarities of the woman she just had a discussion with, but doesn't think they're outright related, or the same person. Not without her telepathy to confirm such suspicions. Emma remains quiet as no one has directly spoken with her, and yet, the white queen turns her head and begins to move in the direction Noriko had been moving in before Rachel showed up.

Rachel Summers has posed:
"Rachel," answers the redhead with a flickered smile for Noriko. She's not what one would call charismatic or even particularly pretty, and she knows it. Imposing, yes. Hounds generally are, as a rule. She turns more fully to regard the pair when their destination is revealed, and gestures with her chin. "It's probably going to storm tonight. Why are you going out to the garden?" Then she angles a little closer as Emma starts edging away, boot heels loud on the polished floor. "Me? I was headed up to my room."

Noriko Ashida has posed:
Noriko's head blips suddenly, at least to Rachel.  She looks so fast at the moving Emma that it's almost like watching subliminal film splices a la "Fight Club"...except maybe more wholesome.  No one knows where Nori looked.  A paranoid urge to look was the cause?  No one will ever know.  Maybe.  Noriko banks on the good-williness of the School a lot to 'protect' her from mind intrusions.  She knows it doesn't count for jack shit.

"Because no one is there and she was locked up in a cage like me.  And once we got here she's been cooped up in a room."  Noriko has no idea about half of that because she was really only 'visiting' Emma once.  "Rachel," she considers, tilting her head slightly.  "It's fine.  She's not going anywhere," she says when she catches Rachel shifting.  "If she so much as bends down to grab a tool she won't get to it," Nori says matter-of-factly with a curt shrug.  Noriko is obviously charismatic, but it doesn't make her a fun person to be around.  There's kind of a surly so-what undertone to the way she handles herself, every bit the product of her dark teen years.  "Okay you are Rachel, but who are you?"  She sighs and then leisurely starts to trail Emma as if to placate, her own electricity providing extra lighting along the way.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma isn't exactly interested in Noriko and Rachel's conversation, or she doesn't appear to be, as she keeps walking away towards the garden, a eye is cast upwards towards the darker clouds in the sky, pregnant with looming rain, but Emma doesn't seem bothered by it just yet.

The White Queen is fine, having learned to be quiet and listen to those around you when you don't have anything to say, or when you're not in a position of power, you stay quiet and allow those in that position to use it until they slip or no longer have that power. You bide and wait, but she's also thinking about how to get her revenge on Shaw, the dirty scummy bastard.

Rachel Summers has posed:
The blonde's gazed at thoughtfully as she continues her retreat, but isn't pursued by the ex-Hound. Plenty going on in her head, beneath the nearly impenetrable wall of her mental defenses. She switches her focus back to Noriko, and snorts softly at the question that clearly isn't getting an answer tonight. Pushing off, she murmurs, "See you around," before disappearing inside the Mansion and leaving the pair to their own devices.

Noriko Ashida has posed:
Noriko frowns openly at Rachel and after she turns around, the girl gives Rachel a little automatic, customary half bow, mumbling something in a snarky tone so fast she doesn't care to put in the effort to slow it down.

Noriko then turns, looking off to the side at Emma.  She kneels down and touches the ground, surging electricity into the ground safely.  Then she takes off with near instant acceleration, popping up right behind Emma.  "What a chore," to shake the suspicion.  "Remind me to zoom by her.  She's like some kind of gatekeeper."
