Synopsis: Tynan shows up in New York, only to find two surprise guests waiting for her on the docks.
Cast of Characters: Tynan Ireton, Albert Rothstein, Tony Masters

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Its a dark night in New York Harbor. Most of the Harbor Patrol has been paid off to ignore the large tanker that's docking. Several large Russian smugglers are flashing lights at a few people on the docks, who flash back. As they dock, several men step out of sedans. They glare at the ship as it finishes the docking. Dock stairs slide off, and hit the ground. A young woman appears at the top of the steps.

The russians make a few comments, and the woman looks over at them, offering them a simple but blunt gesture as she steps off the ship. She moves down, and looks at the men. She nods her head a little bit as one of the cranes grabs a container off the ship. It comes down on the dock, and the woman heads over to it. She unlocks the container, and inside are several Ducati motorcycles. "It seems everything is ok.", she says.

The Russians look at her. "If dat concludes business. We do not have time for children.", he says. The woman just glares at him a bit, and sighs. "It concludes business. Just tell me where I can get ids, and pick up work.", she comments.

Albert Rothstein has posed:
Albert Rothstein has heard some rumors about something going down here tonight, from some pilots who were a bit loose of lip when they thought they were alone. He did not know what just a rough time and place. So tonight he tries to do something he just aint really built for stealth. The man wears a trench coat and fedora trying to his the fire engine red costume and his red hair. He at least was able to force a lock on a gate to get in and now, finds himself behind a storage container on top of another one. "I need to get spy gear or something." He says softly to himself so not to give himself away.

Tony Masters has posed:
"I think you're wanting me." From a more shadowy part of the docks comes a slightly mechanized voice. A pair of featureless yellow eyes can be seen for a moment, then he emerges. Wearing white, his face is covered by a skull mask and shrouded by a hood. A sword hilt raises above one shoulder, a gun on either hip. He studies the unfamiliar woman in front of him, then glances at the Russian men. "Go about your business. I'll take it from here." He steps away from the group and motions her after him. "FIrst of all, just to be clear, what is your name?"

The costumed supermerc glances around the area, his eyes briefly passing over whre Albert is hiding. Though he shows no signs of actually spotting the man. Once a suitable distance away from the Russian, he stops and faces Tynan fully.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Tynan has always heard the stories, but never did she actually expect to meet up with the actual being. She looks at him a long moment. The woman rolls her neck, watching him a moment. "Dark Caliber. Mercenary from Madripoor. I could assume to know who you are by reputation, but I would prefer to be certain.", she says. There is an oddity there. The woman has a slight irish brouge, but clearly has appearence of somebody from Southeast Asia. For a mercenary traveling on a Smugglers ship, she has no visable weapons on her. Then again, in this day and age, that doesn't mean she's unarmed.

"I did not expect somebody from the top of the food chain to show up to be honest. Can I also assume that any gear that I need would have to go through you?", she asks. The woman does look around a little bit. Her eyes seem to be scanning areas where snipers may hide. She's especially careful of the dock lights, watching them a second or two longer then she should.

Albert Rothstein has posed:
Albert Rothstein freezes when the man looks his way. He is going to need to move closer, but he will wait when a fork lift makes a bit of noise in the opposite direction he will move trying to get closer. The others may hear him, but he is trying to be stealthy. He trained more under brawlers than sneaks though.

Tony Masters has posed:
The mercenary crosses hsi arms over hsi chest. "Taskmaster. As for my showing up personally, I like to be informed when people with potentially valuable abilities appear. From what I hear, you're such a person. Or was I misinformed?" He glances around the dock again, then adds, "You can look for gear on your own if you like. If you want to risk dealing with the sorts you might find. I offer opportunities, I don't force them." He flicks open the holster on one of the pistols at his side. "For instance, the Russians. They don't do the best job when it comes to security." He draws the weapon. Then he's turning, aiming and firing in one smooth motion. A bullet comes tearing from the dark towards Albert, impacting the dock near his feet. "Why don't you come on out where we can see you?" He seems rather calm about the intruder. But then, he's known for his confidence.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Tynan reacts almost instantly. She spins the opposite direction, and drops into a crouch. In her hands, there's a pair of 1911MA3s. The woman has them sighted on the rough area that Taskmaster fired. The rumors about her making weapons appear from thin air may be true, but there's always a trick to such things. "The Russians were cheaper then the Triad, and don't ask as many questions.", she says. The woman lets out a slow breath. She is calm, focused. For her age, the fact she didn't start to open fire seems to speak a bit about her. "Be a good lad or lass, and don't think about using any powers either. Nice and slow.", she says.

Albert Rothstein has posed:
Albert Rothstein considers kicking one of the storage containers at them, but decides to go with something a bit different. He concentrates for a moment, and as he steps out he has begun to phase. He makes sure not to touch anything to give it away. He walks with a confident stride, and says "You know there are a lot of laws about what you can bring into the country, and what you need to declare right?"

Tony Masters has posed:
Taskmaster watches as Albert emerges from the shadows, keeping his gun trained on the man. "Do you know that it's rude to intrude on other peoples business? I don't recall inviting you to this particular gathering." He studies the man silently for a time. "I can't say I recognize you. Should I?" He glances at Tynan, as though to check whether she knows who the intruder is. There are a lot of vigilantes in the world. Who can remember all of them?

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty shakes her head a little bit. "That could only be one of three things. The Russians set up an ambush, which given present company would be very stupid on their part. Two, I'm being tested, which annoys me. Or finally, some random person with powers who views themselves as the great protector. The woman shifts her position slightly. While she doesn't have her guns trained on Taskmaster or on Albert, its easy to see that she's ready to fight either. Being a mercenary means being ready for just about anything, including being betrayed right off the bat.

Albert Rothstein has posed:
Albert Rothstein looks to the two, and says "Your in a public place, and seems like you are up to something that should probably be up to no good." He crosses his arms and says "And as for recognizing, I don't know either of you so no real reason you should know me.

Tony Masters has posed:
Scanning over the man again, Taskmaster says, "Well. I doubt it's the first. And it's not the second. So probably the third. Though going by the outfit, he either hasn't been doing this very long or he's broke. So. Bad hair man. Was there anything in particular you were wanting other than to give your opinion on our business?" He doesn't seem terribly worried about the arrival of the towering man. He shifts to make sure he can keep an eye on Tynan as well, drawing the second pistol from its holster as well.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
The woman sighs a bit as she looks at the guy. "Aye, its public, but if you notice, no cops running up to deal with the random gunshot in the dark.", Ty points out. Russians might be sloppy on security, but they do pay decently enough to make sure that the harbor patrol, and the dock security doesn't come running at a few gunshots. The woman sucks in a small breath. "Rather not botch my first night, so be a good lad, and lets not start anything crazy.", she says, sighing that she'll probably have to fight in front of a legend in her business.

Albert Rothstein has posed:
Albert Rothstein looks over at the two of them, and says "And then how about you two put up your guns, and we handle this like gentlemen and gentle lady. I aint got you on anything but tresspassing, maybe illegal fire arms charges. " He studies the two, and says "Course we can keep talking till the police and coast guard get here." He bluffs that he has called them in.

Tony Masters has posed:
Taskmaster tilts his head slightly. "So. You really are here just to give your opinion?" He slides his pistols back into their holsters. "Well. Then feel free to be on your way." He turns away from Albert and starts up the dock. "You can feel free to accompany me, if you want, Miss Caliber." It seems he's decided to ignore the intruder from here.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty just blinks a little bit before she makes the guns disappear back into their pocket dimension. She sighs a bit. "And I thought the Brits had bad manners.", she says with a head shake. The woman comes up from the crouch, and starts to walk towards Taskmaster. "As for Illegel firearms? Good luck getting that charge, and tresspassing? I'm simply a sailor who came in a ship tonight.", she tosses out. "Apologies, Taskmaster, but long trip on a ship, as well as seeing somebody so high up come to greet me kinda put me on edge. I was expecting to have to do a few jobs to get my name out there.", she says.

Albert Rothstein has posed:
Albert Rothstein will make sure to get a good idea of what they both look like, so he can find out who they are, and put the word out that they are nearby. The big man does starts to walk away for now. He will be calling the coast guard to at least put a crimp in their plans. Sometimes he thinks it must have been easier for the guys in the olden days, just beat the bad guy up and leave him for the cops, but it does not work so well now.

Tony Masters has posed:
"You will. But, I'll see about finding you some work. But we can discuss that more in private." He disappears into the darkness with the other mercenary, and then it's as though they're just gone.
