Falling Sky: The Lin aftermath

Synopsis:	Lin is brought by JJ to Alias and Elektra meets with her there. They discover what's been going on and that there are more attacks planned against the Defenders. Luke's Bar being one of the targets.

Jessica Jones has posed:
Jessica made the call to Elektra to come pick up a delivery that was dropped off, without further information given. What is striking, is the fact that she actually looks sober. She is leaning on her desk, holding up a tied up Lin. Clearly he's gotten no benefit of the doubt, she's staring at her door, in good order for once, and waits for Elektra to arrive.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
A delivery? Curious enough... Would it be news on the job Elektra had given JJ? Regardless, she makes sure to be there a while later, dressed with jeans and shirt, a jacket. Rather casual and different from the usual rich ambassador's daughter clothing.

The door opens, the assassin's dark gaze first falling on Jessica and then on Lin. "So you found him." no hint of surprise on her tone, it staying fully neutral as her attention fully goes to Jessica again. "You look horrible." because she is sober?

As for Lin, he is currently staying rather quiet even if his eyes are wide with fear, appearing somewhat restless.

Jessica Jones has posed:
Jessica is dressed like she always is, making one wonder if she even owns another set of clothes besides the worn jeans, black tank top and the jacket. When Elektra walks in, Jessica takes the tied up Lin and throws him on the floor at Elektra's feet, "yeah...I found him. I also found the ambush," Jessica quips, not quite accusatory at this point, but also looking at Elektra suspiciously. "So my question, did you set a trap for me? Did you know a trap was set for you and wanted me to trigger it...? Or was it just another of the universe's brilliant, let's fuck with Jessica sorta deal?"

Jess snorts when told she looks horrible, "thanks, it must be a Thursday."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Tommy lets out a yelp when he is tossed across the room to land on Elektra's feet, scrambling a bit with difficulty due to being all tied-up. Not that Elektra tries to help him up or even deigns to look down at the man, instead her eyes staying fully on JJ. She squints them just so. "An ambush." she doesn't sound *too* surprised. (Or at all)

"Why would I wish to set a trap for you Jessica?" She cants her head to the side. "If I had a problem with you I would make sure to come to you face to face. But we have both done nothing to aggravate one another. That I recall." She finally looks down at the fallen Lin, tapping at him with a foot. "Sit up, Lin." she says, "Why don't you tell us why you have been avoiding me?"

The man looks up, "I already told her! They got my family! They are threatening it! What did you want me to do?!" his tone close to desperate. "They are making a move against the defenders, and you. That's all I know!" he then adding quickly. "You need to help my family!"

Elektra arches a brow. "Why would I help you?" she tsks, looking back at JJ. "I suspected something was afoot, but you are one of the best in the business, are you not? I knew you'd be able to discover what was going on."

Jessica Jones has posed:
"Why...?" Jessica muses, "well, there's the fact you're a psychotic bitch who hang out with those Hand creeps, if I got my sources right," Jessica notes, leaving it to the imagination what level of snooping she's undertaken. "Maybe just the fact you hate me?" She shrugs, "maybe just because it was Tuesday, I don't know, all I know is that it was an ambush, and that you're not dumb. You could have warned me if you wanted to."

It is when Elektra makes her convincing argument that Jessica finally drops her insinuation, "I'll give you that point, you'd stab me yourself if you wanted to, fair enough." Her eyes do lower to Lin when he mentions the Defenders, "the fuck? Those assholes want me too!?"

Jessica chuckles at Elektra's reasoning, "...still could have warned me, but fine." She then turns to Lin again, "so...why not just send an email asking for help, or I don't know, hire Alias Investigations to help with your family? Why just backstab Elektra? She can backstab harder I bet."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
A psychotic bitch?! That at least has Elektra raising a brow at Jessica before allowing a snort to leave her nostrils and shaking her head, "And here I was thinking you were already annoying when you were drunk ..." not that she disputes the accusation of being one. She knows she isn't exactly a good person. "Hate is a strong word though. Not everyone is out to get you, Jessica. And I did hire you, did I not?" again not touching the point about warning JJ.

Lin speaks up again. "Th-they said..., they said they were gonna make you all pay for disrupting their operations. And stopping them in their search for the black sky..!"

Elektra nods in agreement with Jessica, letting out a sigh, "You should had warned me, Lin. You know that trying to betray me. It never ends well.." her tone rather final. Lin's gaze goes wide. "Bu-But what could I do?!" he looks towards JJ, perhaps looking for compassion. "If they got your family wouldn't you do all you could to save them?! I couldn't risk it!"

Elektra then speaks in a rather eery manner, "I know your family too, Lin. Your two young sons. Your wife." she lifts her shoulders. "Do you think you'd be safe regardless?"

Jessica Jones has posed:
Jessica does laugh at Elektra's dig, shrugging as she remarks, "you'd be surprised, but it's not the first time I've heard that." Jessica doesn't seem convinced about the anti-paranoid sentiment though, quipping, "enough people do. Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they're not out to get me, and you did...it makes for a perfect trap." She lets that hang in the air for a moment, before dismissing it with a hand gesture, "but I believe you for now, it was a bad happenstance."

The mention of Black Sky has Jessica rolling her eyes again, "more of that karate magic? Fuck me sideways! I don't give a damn about a black sky, I prefer mine blue in fact, okay?" Jessica snorts at Lin's plea, "you're asking the wrong person, I'd let them take them twice," is Jessica serious? Hard to say, but she sounds serious. "Look, I'm siding with Elektra on this, at least I know the bitch, who the fuck are you?"

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Elektra takes in a breath, casting a look at JJ, "For someone who is so focused in finding the truth you do try to deny magic a lot, don't you?" clearly Elektra is one of the believers in 'karate magic'. She probably even has some of her own! But then her eyes fall on the man. She seems quite immune to his pleas too. Which is motly why Lin is focused on Jessica instead. "I ...., who I am?" the man's gaze goes to Elektra and she nods just so, perhaps allowing him to speak about his dealings.

"I .., I have a business in Chinatown, I do imports and exports and .." a pause. " .. I have worked for the Hand, smuggling in weapons or drugs for them." he then adding quickly. "Not by choice! They threatened me ..."

Elektra then interjects, "I was also using him as my informant for the movements inside the Hand, and what was being smuggled about. You'd be surprised on how much information can be gleaned from it."

Jessica Jones has posed:
"Truth, yes, fantasy...? I don't know, I mean, I get that Danny is a kick ass Martial Artist. But did he kill a dragon? Is that why there aren't any left around? Danny killed them all? I don't buy that. It's a cool story though, I'll give you that, much better than what I got." Jess seems adamant about her views of magic still.

"Sheesh," Jessica interjects into Lin's words, "lucky it wasn't by choice, because that's the kind of stuff those Defenders fuck people over, like real bad...like...the Hand want private lesson on how to be that bad, bad."

Turning to look towards Elektra, Jessica gives her a thumb's up, "okay, you're not all bad, E." She paces closer to Lin, "so do you want me to kill him?" She offers non-challantly, as if she kills people for lunch. She figures that'd be a fast way to bypass intimidations, and get straight to the exchange of information.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Is it better than yours?" Elektra then wonders, lifting a brow. "One would need to know of your story to be able to tell." a faint smirk cropping up to her lips. "Perhaps one day when you are a bit less sober." she suggests.

Lin lifts his hands up, still bound together, "Please! I have told you everything! They had me go there to bait the defenders in. They knew you'd check them..." a look to Elektra then. "They know you have been acting against them.." he says, "It's only a matter of time until they come directly for you.."

That has Elektra look annoyed but then she lets out a resigned sigh. "I knew it was but a matter of time.." a shrug. "No matter.." yet when Jessica moves closer to Lin she lets out a low chuckle. "Sure, go ahead. He is of no use to us anymore."

"No wait!" Says Lin, "I know more! They are planning on moving against some bar.. On Harlem? Think that's another of their targets!"

Jessica Jones has posed:
"You couldn't get me drunk enough to tell you," Jessica promises Elektra without a shred of doubt, before adding, "Matt doesn't even know."

When Lin mentions the Hand will be coming for Elektra, Jessica scoffs, "dude, weren't you listening? We got a guy who kills dragons for a living, mother fucking dragons!" She shakes her head, and continues her menacing advance towards Lin, before she stops and gives him a menacing look. When he offers more information, she softens her gaze and turns to Elektra, "that enough to keep him alive? Because I was going to melt his skull with my laser eyes."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"You sound way too sure of yourself." But Elektra can be relentless when she wants to. "One day you will tell me, mark my words." She folds her arms together, glancing down at the man and then back to Jessica. The news of an attack on a bar doesn't seem to phase her too much. Not her problem! "Luke's bar." Elektra says as if in warning. "Makes sense."

And then she snorts, lips quirking up amusedly. "Now you are overdoing it with the laser eyes. Yes, it's enough to let him live."

She reaches inside her pocket, bringing out a card, "Lin. You will go to this address and lay low. I will make sure your family gets out." she tells the man. "I might be able to get you out of the country. No promises though. But better than killing you, or letting the Hand find you, isn't it?" she passes the card over.

Jessica Jones has posed:
"That must be because I am," Jessica doesn't skip a beat, keeping up with Elektra's teasing, and apparently unfazed by it for the time being.

Jessica as well seems rather calm, despite the announcement of an upcoming attack on Luke's Bar, although she does snap, "what kind of evil heartless bastard fucks up a bar? You know how many people will kill themselves if they don't get enough alcohol? That's just criminal!" As if all other Hand activities weren't.

"Lin, you're a lucky guy, I was going to use my laser eyes on you, but looks like Elektra wants to let you live," Jess says to Lin with overwhelming disappointing painted on her voice. She enjoys freaking the fuck out of people now and again.

She lets Elektra wrap up the dealings with Lin, after all, she did finish her part. Looks like a job well done after all.
