At Least the Drinks are Good
Date of Scene: 28 December 2020
Location: Noonan's Sleazy Bar
Synopsis: Selene and Elektra have a chat in a sleazy bar
Cast of Characters: Selene Corvinus, Elektra Natchios

Selene Corvinus has posed:
As humorous as one might think it is, Selene isn't without a heart.

Her last encounter with Elektra had ended with a bit of tension, mostly surrounding Elektra's companion that night in Colleen Wing. Because of this, the Death Dealer reaches out to contact Elektra once more, to check in and see how things had panned out for the woman and her colleague.

The night had proven that both Elektra, and Colleen were very capable fighters and that alone was worth value for Selene, she needed strong allies in what she's up against.

The invite to meet at this rather... unappealing location had been given. Unappealing locations were often quieter, and less troublesome than the popular places, at least to this aged woman of the night (not, like that).

Seated at a table in the back corner, Selene is wearing a black sweater and black leather pants, her jacket is draped over the back of her chair and she has a drink in front of her. She's just isolated, in the back, her eyes are down upon her phone resting on the table in front of her.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
It's been a few days, Elektra having had time to heal, both her wounds but also the rift between her and Colleen. At least apparently. But if anything Elektra was a good manipulator. For now the other woman was appeased even if she knew she was straining those ideals quite thinly..

The invite had been welcome, her own reasons similar to Selene's, she needed allies for what she was against, for the war she had to win, one way or another. And for that, she'd go as far as dealing with the devil. With a vampire? Close enough. But jury was still out on how heartless Selene was or not..

She arrives at the entrance, one look at the rather faded logo giving her the idea of what she will expect inside. And it doesn't disappoint. Quiet, out of the main ways. Just perfect for their meeting..

Stepping inside she is dressed in dark clothing too, dark red sweater and black tight jeans along with a leather jacket over her form. No ninja garb this time. As for weapons? It's certain she will be having a few hidden here and there. She notes the lone figure in the back and starts her way to her, dark eyes watching.

"Good evening, Selene."

Selene Corvinus has posed:
There are a few others in the bar, and most of them are familiar with Selene. They've all tried their luck with flirting with her, at least the ones who cared to, and they've all found out what really comes of it when they tried. Not much, being the answer to that. Now they've come to recognize her as a bit of a regular, and she's even helped stop a few fights, so the owners are welcoming of her presence now.

When Elektra arrives and announces herself, Selene's brown eyes look up from her phone and a ghostly soft smile graces her lips. She sits up straighter in her seat and nods once. "Elektra. So good to see you." She says in an equally foreign accent to this region of the world as Elektra's own.

"Glad you made it. Please sit. How is... Colleen?" She doesn't beat around the bush, so to speak.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Didn't take you as a social network person." A ghost of a smile on Elektra's features as she sits down across from Selene..., just a bit to the side so she can also have a bit of a look to the rest of the room. Assassin 101, never have your back to the rest of the room if you can help it. Manners be damned. She shrugs herself out of her jacket, letting it rest back on her chair before her attention is fully on Selene again. "Quaint place you found here.." truth be told she has been in worse.

"And it's good to see you again." No hiding of her accent too, a bit of 'letting her hair down'. It's the place for it too.

With Selene going to the point a faint smirk gets to Elektra's expression. "Direct. I like that.", a beat. "Colleen is angry. She is .., an idealist. Believing that those creatures can be helped." it doesn't seem to be an opinion Elektra shares.

"But she is starting to understand that not everyone can be saved. Or should be saved." She says, "She will come around."

Selene Corvinus has posed:
While Elektra settles in to the seat across from her, Selene's gaze goes out across the bar as she has her back to a corner wall (apparently the share a lot of similarities in how they do things). Her eyes dart back to Elektra then and a momentary grin comes and goes from her expression.

"It's a dreadful place." She says casually good humored. "But it lets me think in peace. Mostly because none of my people will ever agree to come with me here. Which is entirely fine with me." She doesn't enjoy the company of her own people?

The talk of Colleen holds Selene's attention, her eyes on the other as she gently nods her head to what is said of the other woman. "Yes, I could see that in her. She was a remarkable fighter, but felt... young. Something that is challenging for me to relate to any more." She states then, punctuating those quiet words with a smirk.

"She might be right, there could be another solution out there. But in... hundreds of years, and uncountable amounts of time and research, my people haven't found a way. Our pockets are deep too, so if there is a 'cure'-- or what have you --it doesn't seem to be within technology's grasp. Not yet anyway."

"Please do tell her thank you for helping me again though. I... wanted to ask her if she'd help train some of my people, but I'm guessing she'd say no to such a thing." She slightly smiles again. "Training vampires isn't something a woman like her likely willingly would go along with."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
That's a bit of news to her, that Selene actually has her 'own' people. Not that Elektra is too surprised she may not enjoy hanging with them too much. She has her own people both in the Hand, and also with the Defenders.. And sometimes she just needs her own time away from all of them too. So she can understand it well. "Good idea. I will have to try it." but then there's Jessica Jones.. She'd probably enjoy this dive. It has her sigh. But she focuses soon after, "Your people aren't like you then, I gather?" which is quite the open-ended question if one is honest..

"She is young." That much she admits with a small nod, "But she has seen her share. And she chose her path. It remarkedly was what saved her from a life as an assassin." and from being like Elektra, ".. It can be her greatest strength, but also, as you saw.., a motive of strife."

The talk about a cure has her shaking her head, "The 'could bes', 'would bes', not exactly the world we live in. It's kill or be killed in the end. And we saw the potential of destruction they can bring." lips pressing to a thin line. "With your years I am sure you have seen .., a lot worse." inevitable really.

"Maybe she will accept, who knows? She is also interested in your help about a certain matter. We both are." Elektra says, "About some deaths in New York. At first glance they seem to have died with punctures on their neck, which I am sure you know what *that* may mean. We are considering going to the morgue rather soon to look into it."

Selene Corvinus has posed:
A middle aged waitress comes over to the table to ask for Elektra's order, and Selene sits back to let the two of them interact. When they finish up, Selene places her forearms crossed on to the edge of the table in front of her.

"I would be delighted to help with that." She says of the bite marked bodies at the morgue. "American... Vampires... are largely unorganized. Street gangs at best. They're sloppy, generally lazy and quite terrible at what they do. Deadly, to be sure, but reckless isn't a strong enough word."

"But admittedly that is part of why I asked you here tonight. I wanted to make sure you knew that I'm more than happy to reciprocate assistance. The both of you were quite beneficial for me in the incident in the hotel, and I'd hope that I could be there to help you with something in turn." She is quick to show a soft smile then.

Her hand goes to her drink and her eyes follow it. "Most of the others in my Coven are also quite young. It's rare that a ... person of my ilk, lives as long as I have." She raises her eyes again to look at Elektra. "It's lead me to being a bit isolated from the herd, as it were." She then raises her drink up to sip from it again.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
In the end Elektra appears to go for a bloody mary.. Bit of a cheeky request considering the company? Or maybe she is just testing to see how far the drink quality on this establishment actually goes. So when the waitress actually nods and accepts the request without a fuss it surprises her. Maybe the drinks aren't that bad! A positive.

"I will call you soon." about the help on the morgue. "Hopefully we will discern some more about who or what killed them. We also believe there was an hostage so.., something else is afoot." and not the Hand this time apparently!

"And I imagine you would have no problem in helping. I will be straight with you though, the fight you have against the lycans isn't my fight. As I am sure you have no particular enmity against the Hand either. But we can both help each other. I find we have very ..., similar ideas and ways of operating which will make us good allies." She says it without any kind of deception. Just the truth. Not that she doesn't expect the other to not have figured it by now. But nothing like speaking it up.

Eventually her drink arrives, Elektra lifting it up in a thanks to the waitress, "Lets see how good they are.." she leans to take a sip and nods her approval before her attention is back on the elder vampire. And she understands it. That leaving apart from everyone. Living more than what someone who lives and breathes violence would have any right to live. Scraping by because they are survivors and have a mission. Yes, very much like she has done with the Hand.

"A lifetime as a killer. Do you regret it?" She then asks, tone a touch curious. It's been pretty much her own life too.

Selene Corvinus has posed:
"The owner of this place has been tending bars since their early 20s, and is headed in to their 70s now, I believe." Selene says, of the drinks of this place. "They're admittedly not much of a good business owner, their words, but do take pride in how they serve their beverages. So that is something for this place." She says with a slight grin.

A light nod is given to the rundown of their compared situations, agreeing entirely with it. "Seeing eye to eye with an associate certainly makes things run more smoothly." Of course she thinks of Colleen, not that she disliked the young woman by any means, but working with her? Well, she put a sword to her neck after just one job.

At the question though, Selene's right hand comes up to the side of her face where she cups her cheek and considers it. It takes a few seconds before she openly smiles. "Plenty of regrets." She states, lingering those words a second or two before continuing. "Missed opportunities. Failures galore. Some small. Some quite large. I'd correct a million things, were I able to. But, yet, I'm still here... I'm still going. That's more than a lot of others can say, especially those who share my date of birth." Another faint grin shows upon the pale skinned woman's lips.

"I don't regret my choices though, by and large. I trust my instincts, to ever attempt to do what's best. For the greater good, as they say." She raises her drink for another sip then. "But yes, what of you? Choices you regret making?"

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"That explains it." Elektra comments about the bartender's experience, "It's often in these unlikely places that we find the most interesting gems. Travelling around has taught me that." she indulges on another sip, this time savoring the dark liquid and settling back on her chair, more comfortably, one leg sliding up over the other.

"Ah, there's always those, aren't there? The missed opportunities. The 'could have beens'. It can drive one almost crazy if we allow it." the tone almost as if she was speaking from experience.

"Lingering and dwelling on those can be the death of us. I have had my share too. Regrets, failures. But I wouldn't change a thing." So set in her ways! "I am still here, alive. Means I am still on track." at what price though?

She gestures with one of her elegant hands, "I have learned we have to seize the moment, live it to the fullest. Tomorrow might be too late." She says.

"And so far I can't complain." A beat before she lets out a low chuckle. "Can't afford to complain either considering the kind of life we lead."

Selene Corvinus has posed:
Selene's hand drops down from the side of her face back to the table in front of her. "Dwelling in a dark corner, dressed in all black, listening to the most dour of music is the iconic vision of someone of my nature, isn't it?" She jests, showing another light grin. "I suppose I fit the stereotype as well. At least in some ways. I certainly like to think I still have my sanity, however."

After a moment, Selene chews on some thoughts inside her mind before speaking them. "You have the air of someone much older than your physical appearance. Something I can relate to. Though I don't believe you're actually in the same... situation I am, with regard to that. It's curious to me then, how you came to have the wisdom that you do. Though I hate to pry, as it's really none of my business what so ever. I mostly just... mean it as a compliment. I suppose."

"How did you and Colleen come to work together?" She then asks after a second. "You seem to be... a bit opposite in the way you carry yourselves."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"If we go and believe the folklore there is about your kind.." Elektra then arching a brow. A teasing one? Perhaps she is about to ask about the sparkling vampires. But she doesn't go so far. She knows part of the truth, and it's scary enough. She can barely imagine what it may be to. "But yes, you do seem to be .., different from what I expected the more I know about you." she admits. "But we never do fit a certain stereotype, do we?"

"No, I am not in the same situation." Nope, not a vampire. Or an otherwise member of the undead. At least not yet..., but who knows what the future holds? If only she knew what Black sky is exactly ... Still, there's a darkness to the woman's whole demeanor, clearly a life marred with death as a constant companion. "I am not sure if it's wisdom or simply having learned to survive. It was do or die with my teacher." Stick, "And then later on with the Hand." she not really hiding she was part of that criminal organization. And she still is! "And some lessons are never forgotten.." she murmurs.

Another drink from her glass, "We already knew one another from the Hand. Though how she came to be with them, and how she got out, would perhaps be best explained by her. It is her story afterall." a pause, "And then through our involvement with the Defenders is where we became closer. We have .., very different views of the world. But we understand one another and in a way.., we can complement one another's views." a smirk. "It's good to have someone to tell you how wrong we are sometimes."

Selene Corvinus has posed:
Selene is quick to softly nod her head a pair of times at it being Colleen's story to tell. "One I would certainly ask her about, if I wasn't sure she'd be staring at my neck the whole time, wishing it removed from my shoulders." She's kidding, of course, and the grin she shows for a few seconds afterward helps show that.

Her eyes then drop down to her drink before she draws in a breath and softly shakes her head. When she looks up again she sits back in the booth seat she's occupying. "I have to wonder if this Hand you speak of has had any dealings with my people and I in the past. The name itself doesn't ring any bells, as they say, but yet, I'm intrigued by the skill in those that are trained by them."

She pauses then to compose her next words.

"I was brought here, to the United States, to train my Coven's security forces. So to see the way that you and Colleen fought, and to gather that the training has come from this organization that you're seemingly now at odds with... I suppose I just find it all very interesting. Being that it relates, perhaps loosely, to what I do."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Entirely possible." Elektra admits about dealings with the Hand. "They have been around for .., centuries. Maybe even over a millenia." she explains, her expression hardening just so, "Most of their dealings were done in the East, at least in the past. But they have always had their .., grasp.., on many things over the years. Their ties to mysticism isn't unheard of.." a beat. "Along with tales of those who cannot die. Immortals." one hand gesturing towards Selene. Maybe similar to her? "One has recently appeared in New York again. Nobu. It is said he cannot die, and he has fought Daredevil quite a few times.."

"What does your Coven fight for? Exclusively against the lycans? Or do they have other enemies?" A pause, "Or other interests too..?" she questions.

"Not all training came from that organization I will note. Colleen's mastery of the sword has been passed down through the generations of her family. And I branched out as well." Though then she mmmms, regarding Selene with some attention before asking. "You are also at odds with an organization you used to belong with?" she considers what would be a good term. "One of your old covens?"

Selene Corvinus has posed:
The level of information that Selene is willing to give to someone on the outside varies greatly, though overall she rarely hides much of anything when someone is able to get even this close to her. She's not one for hiding things, as she's found that such behavior only leads to more problems than it solves being a 'mysterious' or 'misleading' person. Especially since she's in a position of leadership within the safety of the Covens she's associated with.

"Our goal, as a people, is to do away with the Lycan threat, so that we might recede in to our corners of the world and not be a threat to any others, any longer. Or at least, that's the overlying wish. Some within the Council that rules the Covens attempt to push for other things." The inner politics of a secret Vampire society...

"I'm not directly at odds with any organization, or Coven." She does reply to the direct question. "Though we do have former Covens that have separated from the Council and not been heard from in... a very long time. Some consider them to be completely eradicated, though I don't fully believe that to be true myself."

She takes a moment to raise her hand and swipe it across the side of her face to push back some of the black hair that is loose and framing her pale skin. "Our bloodline originates from an Immortal, in fact. He passed his immortality to his sons, who later contracted the original strain of Vampirism and Werewolf viruses. It was the... mixture of the Immortality strain, and the strain of the undead that created our unique line of what we are today. So... yes, I'm not surprised to hear of other Immortals, out... there, creating their own havoc and chaos."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
The talk on the covens gets a brief nod out of Elektra. Not too different as to what she has to deal with while she was part of the Hand. Of course that now she is against them so that makes things somewhat different. But she still knows how it worked. "I haven't noted others of your kind working with you as of yet though." a faint smile. "Though I do suppose we have only met .., three times so far? But I am guessing that's mostly how your .., death dealers handle things?" she remembering the name the lycan used when they began hostilities back at the meeting.

Only a smile is given when Selene talks about the Coven's goals. She isn't one to ask about their inner-workings. She knows better than ask. So instead she focuses on what is spoken on their history. "An Immortal..." it has her squint her eyes, looking up at the ceiling a moment. "If one is to believe it, I have heard of a few things, of power coming down through dragons, of immortality. Of transcendence..." a brief laugh, "Maybe there is a connection between it all. It's a small world out there." maybe even smaller than she thinks!

"I do wonder if you have heard of something called the Black Sky in the past."

Selene Corvinus has posed:
Selene's eyes cast over toward the bar for a moment as she watches two new arrivals settle in at stools. One of them glanced their way, because well... look at them, but he soon looked back in the other direction to mind his own business.

When Selene's calm brown eyed stare returns to Elektra she shows a faint and brief smile. Her eyes drop down toward her drink. "The bulk of the Death Dealers remain in Manhattan. Since it is where our Coven's home is located, they have to be relatively close to the nest, so to speak, for safety purposes."

Her eyes come back up then to look at Elektra's own. "A team comes with me out here to Gotham, and they're given an patrol assignment that they initiate while sending me periodical updates. Being that I have so many... years of experience, I patrol on my own. We return to our safe houses here by morning, and repeat the process the following nights. We cycle our members between here and Manhattan, it's all rather simple. But should we need their backup, my people are never that far from me, even right now."

She takes a moment to sample her drink again. A nod is given when she hears Black Sky. "I believe so. Though my knowledge on things of that nature a bit limited. Mythical weapons? Ancient origins rooted in magic?" She smiles very sweetly. "We've had some dealings with such things, but they're not easily acquired..."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Manhattan..." Elektra echoes, some surprise there on her voice. Quite closer to her than she expected! Look at that, living among vampires... "Not far from my current perch. And to think they have been able to keep out of my radar till this day." she bowing her head just so, perhaps in signs of respect at their secrecy. Eyes then follow Selene's look to the bar, taking note of the two newcomers. Danger? Mmmm, seems more like checking them out. Which .., fair enough..

Attention returns to Selene soon enough, "Hopefully you don't consider me a danger." the tone just a touch amused about Selene saying her people aren't too far right now. "Or at least .., not too much of one." she reaches for her drink, taking a brief swig and swirling the liquid inside the glass slowly.

The amusement on tone and expression do shift when Selene actually mentions knowing about Black Sky. It has her arching a brow, "Magic, myth. Sometimes it stays just that..., a myth. But when you get enough people believing it can transcend such. The way my enemies have been looking for it though, it makes me think there's more to it than just myth." she reaching up to brush one hand through her hair. There is perhaps a mix of frustration in there now, clearly this Black Sky being something important to her.

"If your dealings bring you to hear of the name again..., I would certainly welcome an heads up if you'd be so willing to ofer one."

Selene Corvinus has posed:
"Keeping out of the radar of the living is the very core of what I train the Death Dealers to do." Selene replies to Elektra's initial words, showcasing a light smile for her there-after. "We'll never survive, as a people, if we can't stay away from those who'd want us dead by default." Another look is sent down to their shared table as Selene partakes in another sip of her drink.

"That being said." She starts as she looks up once more, smiling lightly again too. "No, I don't consider you a threat at this point. You seemed to share a lot of viewpoints on how these things have to be dealt with, which is rare amongst the warm blooded. Your colleague, Colleen? Well... she's already put her sword to my throat once." Her lips are parted as a faint smile shows before she just nods her head once, dipping her chin.

"I'll ask my people to keep their eyes and ears peeled for any leads on this 'Black Sky'. Should it come up, you'll be the first to hear of it. Though I would be curious to see it myself, though just label that as a bit of idle curiosity toward such relics."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"You seem to have a good head on your shoulders.." Elektra says after a while in silence, that faint smile again returning, "No matter how much my friend may put the sword to your throat." not that she will apologize for what happened. Not her place. And besides, her apologizing? Ha! "I initially thought you'd be someone simply bent on revenge and killing. But you appear to have your people's interest in mind." the smile deepening. "Not that I do not think revenge and the kill isn't part of your motivation too. Oh, it certainly is." she leaning forward on her seat a touch. "But then again, that seems to go for most of us. So yes, you could say in a way we are alike..."

"Caring for people though. That does feel like weakness more often than not." Yep, it doesn't seem like she is *that* used to doing that. "It does surprise me to talk about all this with someone who was a stranger just a month back or so. But heh, maybe that says something about who we are. A vampire and an assassin.." she lifts her glass up in ways of toast before downing what was left of the liquid.

"So far it's eluded most of our attempts to finding it. But I thank you for your help, Selene. This may be just as dangerous, or worse, as they getting their hands on the lycan strain as they were trying to before.."

Selene Corvinus has posed:
The comments about her quality of character keep a light smile on her lips throughout it, along with the talk of sharing information about all of this. "Years and arduoous practice in attempting to build better relations with others. Especially those outside of my Coven. I've found that... being upfront, open as I can be, makes a large difference when dealing with one's such as yourself. Though it doesn't always work quite as well as this." She motions between the two of them. "You don't seem to fear me, which is a good foundation to build from and something I noted quickly. Not that I believe, say your friend does, but I do think she's my prone to look down on me because of what I am. Where others? They often just wish to throw someone of my ilk in with the worst kinds of monsters lingering in the dark."

There comes a pause from the elder Vampire and she has to gently shake her head. "I don't consider myself virtuous, however, I am a monster. I am just a monster who is... self aware of it, and this is another reason I isolate myself. I don't deserve 'happiness'. Not in the traditional sense. A desire for revenge is inside of me. But I don't let it control me."

Another sip is taken, then a nod toward Elektra. "Let us hope that the Lycans and the Hand don't attempt any further dealings with one another, for both our sakes."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"Fear..?" That has Elektra cocking her head to the side and then she just smiles. "That's not how this 'game' is played. Showing any, or even feeling fear is getting that first step into the grave. Along with it comes doubt, second-guessing and a whole slew of problems." she shakes her head firmly. "Death can be around any corner. No way we should face it whimpering or cowering up." it does seem easier said than done. But she does have that kind of life where it's either shape up or die. No second chances.

"As for being monsters. I do not judge. I have .., worked with real ones. You do not appear to be as bad, and you do seem genuine." dark eyes then roaming over the other woman for a brief moment. "Of course that it may be what you are showing me instead of who you really are. But I will take my chances."

"Then you are perhaps one step ahead of me.." Not letting revenge, the bloodlust, control her life, "If we went by all the sins we have committed I would say none of us deserves one. But I do not expect an happy ending. There are none." a beat before she lets out a chuckle. "But if an happy ending would be the traditional kind of happiness, white picket fence, family with kids..." she rolls her eyes. "No, thank you. They can keep it." her tone a touch harder in the end there. Afterall there was a time in her life she believed that would be something possible. And look where she is now!

Selene Corvinus has posed:
Selene places her right elbow on the edge of the table and raises her hand up to hold the side of her face as she listens to the other across from her. When she receives some appraising comments on herself it makes her smile lightly, taking them as compliments, to be sure. "There are theories about what actually happens when you're living self is turned into a Vampire, let alone a Lycan." She starts to say then. "Such as the person you are truly does die, that there is no such thing as a soul, and what you become as a turned one, is a reflection of who you were now granted these powers. And as you likely know, power generally leads to greed, and greed generally creates the worst kinds of monsters in this world." She shakes her head softly then, her chin now resting on the palm of her hand. "I don't think I was ever a greedy person, nor someone who wanted power, prior to becoming a vampire. I just wanted to... live, and be with my family. I feel a lot of that came with my in my transition, though I've had to certainly fight the 'darkness' that I feel inside me. I do that, I fight that, by reminding myself of who I was, rather than what power might let me become."4

Her hand leaves the side of her face then and goes down to the base of her drinking glass. "I don't want a picket fence, American Dream, ending to my story. I just desire... quiet contentment." She smiles and sips a drink again. "And maybe a Ferrari." She then quickly shows a grin at her joke.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Power. Greed. Yes, Elektra knows a thing or two about those. She dips her head in agreement before leaning forth, her own hand up and holding her chin while she continues to talk it out with the vampire. It *does* say something when it's a vampire that can understand her more than most of the people she knows. Even those other assassins in the Hand ... But then again, she never really did belong with those. "Do you still remember how you were before you changed?" she then asks, curiosity on her tone.

Though as she explains about that darkness there is an understanding nod, "So there is truth to what they say, about one's personality changing when they become one of your kind. Or a lycan..." it has her look thoughtful for a moment. "Colleen believes it's the lycantropy that makes them .., bad. But by what you say, seems like it amplifies the darker feelings within them. In the end its up to the person to fight back.." or maybe she is just finding a good excuse to have Colleen not have remorses in killing them anymore.

"Quiet contentment." Elektra then echoes. "It doesn't seem like you. Being quiet." then she chinjerking at the mention of a ferrari. "That's more like it. But take it from me, those don't bring happiness." a wink in return to the joke. And look, she has money! She probably had one in the past... Most likely wrecked out on a pier somewhere...

Selene Corvinus has posed:
A quick and soft laugh escapes between Selene's lips at the last part about the Ferarri. She looks down at the last 3rd of her drink still inside the glass and shakes her head side to side. "No, I wouldn't imagine it would." She says as she looks back up. "But it'd be nice to angrily drive away from people you have fights with. Or... share a ride down a coastline with someone you actually enjoy... at night, of course." She says with a smirk, being that she's bannished from ever enjoying the sunlight on her skin again.

"I do remember who I was, quite vividly in fact." The Vampire states in a soft tone to her voice. She raises her drink up for another sip before putting her eyes back on to Elektra's. "I was just the daughter of a blacksmith, an engineer. Brilliant man, for being a peasant. He built the castle that our land's Lord lived within. I used to marvel at the things he could create in his forge. I remember spending many hours there with him, watching him make weapons, armor, or more common every day items for others within our village." She pauses a moment. "I admittedly keep a journal of these memories, to make sure I don't ever lose them entirely... with the... hundreds of years of much darker imagery that has come to follow." And she says that with a touch of remorse, but also saying it lightheartedly so as not to be over dramatically cliche, in her all black clothing and emo-Vampire persona that she still has about her.

Elektra Natchios has posed:
Elektra does let out a sigh, her amusement only growing and then she murmurs a, "Guilty.." which most likely means she has done so in the past. Both? Only one of those? "Angrily driving away is one of those qualities I appear to possess in excess. Well, perhaps not *so* much anymore but when I was younger. But still.." the second part of it does seem to bring a smile to the assassin's expression though. "Ah, I think I understand more what you mean by quiet contentment.." she dips her head at the other woman.

"It's easy to forget the good parts with all the darkness, isn't it?" Elektra's tone having taken a more somber aspect to it. "It's good to have a anchor though. I imagine it was one way for you not to fall fully to your urges." her eyes do turn somewhat melancholic for a moment .. Perhaps she should join Selene in the all-black, emo persona types.. But soon enough she is back to a more normal self, or at least to a more social one, hand continuing up on her chin.

"I should go."

Selene Corvinus has posed:
"You've had those experiences, the driving ones at least." Selene says of the Ferarri daydream (night dream?) "It means you've got a leg up on my own bucket list." She says with another soft laugh and a nod of her head. "If nothing else, I'll have a million stories to fall back on some day, when I give up this life of dealing death, and retire in to one of being a reclusive writer deep in the back country of Hungary. With a Ferarri." She grins once more before finishing off the remainder of her drink.

At the mention of going, Selene's eyes go back to the other and she gives her another soft smile. "I understand, it's getting late. I appreciate you coming out here again to speak with me, I wanted to make sure we touched base again after ... yeah. I'm in your debt now, so let me know when and where to be to help you in return, and I'll keep a watchful eye for the Black Sky."

Elektra Natchios has posed:
"You seem very intent on a ferrari." Elektra replies, a brow quirking. "They are as smashable as the others." she says, almost as if in experience. Maybe she has smashed one in the past! (Most def) "If you have no fear of being in a car accident maybe I can help you with striking that one out off your bucket list one night. Just need to let me know." the assassin teases while getting back up to her feet.

"I will keep in touch." This about the debt, "But I should need it soon enough, about those murders I spoke of before." she gets her jacket from the chair, swinging it over her shoulders.

"Until next time, Selene. May the shadows favor you." She says, offering the other woman a brief nod before she turns, weaving past the various tables and patrons until she is out the door and into the waiting night outside.
