Cast of Characters: Kevin Sydney, Samuel Guthrie

Kevin Sydney has posed:
Kevin had a craving for an omelette. This was a situation that had to be remedied. Having recently moved back in just after the holidays, he is presently making himself reacquainted with the kitchen. As with many things, the mutant known as Morph, does it with an outlandish flare. He has manifested a complete chef's uniform complete with big white hat. He squints at a video on his phone which describes a precise procedure for converting eggs into fluffy goodness.

Sucking lightly on his left cheek, he squints as he stirs a whisk vigorously within a pan, pausing to add just a dash of milk before fishing around for a small spice container with parsley.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie comes walking in from the garage area. He is carrying a take home container from Harry's. The young man looks over and seeing the chef will smile, and says "Hey Kevin, your back? Welcome back man, how you doing?" He walks over putting his container on the bar.

Kevin Sydney has posed:
Kevin offers an upnod toward Sam. "I'm doing excellent. Time abroad was everything I needed. My French is passable now and so is my Cantonese. Maybe one day I'll be a proper ambassador to the world!" He raises his whisk to the air in declaration then resumes whisking. "Good to be back though." His face morphs from the young man into the pale near featureless albino of his natural form. He grins with a mouthful of perfect teeth. "Only real place you can be yourself in this crazy world, eh? How about you? Surprised you haven't blown the coup... Mister.. No longer a Teen."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie chuckles a bit and says "Well am looking at getting a small place for my girl and me here on the property, but been helping out here, while taking some classes at the academy. Believe it or not I get to teach flight classes on occasion." He offers with a smile "I need to work on my italian, hoping to make a trip over that ways this summer perhaps.

Kevin Sydney has posed:
Morph gestures with the whisk as he speaks more, flicking a little bit of egg white across the counter. "Definitely need to get out there while you can! See the world! Absorb the cultures of others. At least... that's what half the staff seems to say at some point or another." He transfers his eggs to a skillet and abruptly the whisk is now a spatula. "I could use some pointers on flight sometime. Not my strong suit. I haven't figured out all that air current and thermal nuance."

His tongue protrudes slightly from the corner of his mouth as he cooks his omlette, tilting the skillet to drain some of the white to the side and then folding the egg back on itself. "Guess you are following Logan's footsteps by grabbing a place here. Seems like it worked well for him!"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods a bit and says "Somewhat yea, it is a nice place looked at some places around the area and prices around here are insane." He admits "Ah can teach you a bit, winged flight works a bit different, but Ah learned about it when Warren was teaching me. Then again living in a fancy house out here, might look odd if Ah get the job am working on.

Kevin Sydney has posed:
"Yea, I've got a few different options for flight. I haven't really sorted out which one is right for me! Wings seem like they might be a little more natural, but then I can also just float around." He offers an exagerated shrug and then plates his omelette on a nearby dish. He grabs a pepper mill and gently cracks some fresh pepper over it. He inspects the outcome of his cooking carefully with extreme scrutiny. "Well, the mansion itself is fancy. So I imagine fance wouldn't look... too out of place. Then again, Logan seemed to go pretty simple out there with his cabin. Huh.. I wonder what I'll do when its time to move out. Will I move out? Eh, those sound like adult questions. No thanks!"

He grabs a fork, cuts a morsel of his food, and then stuffs it into his maw. He hums in delight. "Yup. That's what I wanted."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie will open his box of food and pulls out a double bacon cheese burger and fries. He sets them on the table and moves to get himself some ice tea. I wish Lock was about, I think he would be a rather good one to help teach you some things. " He moves to have a seat, and says "I have thought about a place in Bushwick too."

Kevin Sydney has posed:
Morph frowns a little bit about the prospect of Bushwick, "You know, I thought about that too. It is a place you can.... be yourself, but in some ways I think it'd feel like also laying down for a good kicking. And then that whole Brainiac thing that happened. That place is kind of scary man! Think I'd stay here.. but then again, maybe its a place people like us are needed. I'm kind of torn about the whole thing." He chews on more eggs and hums in consternation.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods, and says "It is where I am hoping to be assigned with the academy, show people that there are decent folks willing to help them, maybe inspire some of the next generation coming up. He munches a bit more of his food, and says "Anywhere can be messed with by crazy space aliens, you gotta remember that."

Kevin Sydney has posed:
"Yea sure. Anywhere could, but you know... where we gather in large numbers... Bad things seem to happen. Bushwich... Genosha. Its like it attracts trouble." He offers another shrug, "Then again, I spent most of my childhood avoiding trouble. Really easy to blend in when you are like me y'know. I can't relate exactly the same, but it feels good not have to pretend to be normal."

His eyes turn into actual pinwheels, spiralling. "Gah, its mindnumbing just to think about. I'm gonna continue to be a 'kid' for a little while longer before I tackle those very adult problems."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie smirks a bit and says "Well you know me, I stopped being a kid long before most, but yea being able to blend in helps. I mean I have thought about being open about being a mutant with the new job, but think it will go alot easier if I keep that to myself.

Kevin Sydney has posed:
"You know. I've gone back and forth on this for a long time. I think... given the situation. It's better to hide and use that privileged to help others out. If you wave your mutant flag when you don't have to, you are throwing away an advantage that can help others that aren't so fortunate. Just can't forget the poor people who can't blend in, y'know." He points with his fork and then eats more eggs. "Yea, Senpai.. Your heroic streak kind of showed early on, didn't it? It's pretty inspiring."

His body enflates and his clothes shift form chef to stereotypical super hero costume with a cape and giant M. His arms and legs swell to epic muscular proportions. "It makes me want to be a CHAMPION OF THE PEOPLE!"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie chuckles a bit and says "Well it was even before the hero, when Pa died, Ah had to step up. Heck being up here probably let me be more kid than I would have been back home. Just wanting to let the kids growing up know they can have good lives, and to keep trying.

Kevin Sydney has posed:
"Yea. I think we have kind of the opposite situation. Only child. When Mom died, best thing for Dad ended up being to send me here. Poor guy... just isn't recovering from it." He frowns deeply and growls a little bit, "Makes me want to punch that Remy guy in the face everytime he comes around smoking! Lung cancer kills man." He finishes off his eggs and begins cleaning up, his heroic proportions deflating until he's a skinny humanoid wearing the same super suit.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods, and says "Yea, Pa passed from black lung." He tells the other man "His was from working in the mine though. And Ah was the oldest of ten, so yea bit different there for sure." He offers the young man. "Well least your smart enough if your going to punch someone you pick Remy over Logan." He jokes.

Kevin Sydney has posed:
"Not sure if I'd call it smart. I got a lot of answers for that old man. Exploding stuff from angry cajuns. Eh, that I'm not so prepared for." His eyes narrow, "The old man is very tricky though. So maybe you are right. He doesn't appreciate my humor very much either." Another broad shrug and then Morph has finished putting up his dishes. He wipes his hands on a towel and then focuses. His albino humanoid shape takes the appearance of a more casual teenage eighteen year old. He runs his hands through his hair and looks at his reflection in the nearby toaster. He hums and then flicks his ear, growing an earring. "Yea, that'll work for today."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie chuckles a bit at the body change, and says "Well gotta say that does make it a bit easier than when Ah got my ear pierced." He chuckles a bit and says "You know ya need anything Kevin give me a hollar, and will help as best as Ah can."

Kevin Sydney has posed:
"Same here, Sam. Though since you are a part-time teacher now, guess that emphasis is on your side of the equation for now!" He shoots finger guns at him and then starts roaming from the kitchen, "See you around. I'm gonna try and meet someone new, or at least convince someone I'm the cool kid on campus."
