Ganging up on the dopples.
Date of Scene: 03 January 2021
Location: Memorial and Meeting Rooms - Titan's Tower
Synopsis: Donna, Kara, Vorpal and Nadia form a secret cabal of Titans Who Definitely Aren't Dopplegangers
Cast of Characters: Donna Troy, Kara Danvers, Terry O'Neil, Nadia Pym-van Dyne

Donna Troy has posed:
Alternative Earths are a pain. When holes start appearing between yours and an alternative one, you really start to notice it. Word has come from the joint DEO/SHIELD task force assigned to deal with the ZZGU incursions that an unknown number of people are believed to have made their way from the Earth that had been dominated by Zhed'Zhud'Ger'Uth, and of course the question of whether any of those individuals come bearing superpowers and a grudge is a significant one. The various super-teams have been given priority notifications and asked to consider precautions.

The lack of a strict leadership structure in the Titans is something that has both positives and negatives. The negatives are generally organizational, but that's why there have always been members of the team who have stepped into leadership roles when necessary. In the original incarnation of the Titans that had usually been Nightwing; since the team came back together it has usually been Donna.

When the notification first came in, Donna had been back in New York, working at the soon-top-open Themysciran Arts Center, but the ping on her T-Com had stopped her in her tracks. After a certain amount of careful thought, she had sent private messages to Kara, Nadia and Terry, asking them to attend a private meeting as soon as possible.

For once, Donna is actually early for the meeting. When the others arrive, she's already seated at the big meeting table, a tablet in front of her and an expression of concentration etched on ehr face.

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara smiles brightly to the handsome man. Well, professor. Her professor of Journalism at Metropolis University. "And Kara, you can spend the time to dig in to these themes you brought up in your article. Gotham isn't Metropolis, but the seeds of our social collapse spread with the wind," he says to her.

Kara adjusts his glasses and says, "Thank you again Professor. I really didn't expect to get such a positive response." There's a buzz in her pocket from the t-comm, "Oh, sorry, that's probably my mum wondering where I am."

She thumbs to the door, "I need to go. But, uh, thanks again!"

He smiles, "You're quite welcome Kara. Remember your assignment on bird migration changes due to skyscrapers is due next week."

Kara nods, "I won't forget Professor." She turns and bumps in to a desk awkwardly, then turns again and makes her way out of the office. Then, she's in to a mild jog until she's outside and checks her T-comm. A quick glance around, no one is watching, and she takes off her sweater revealing the S beneath.

Kara arrives suddenly, like she usually does, touching down in the meeting room. "Troia," she says and tosses her civilian clothes in a bundle in to the corner of the room, the arms of the sweater tied about them making them a bundle.

Terry O'Neil has posed:
Vorpal, as it happens, wasn't doing much when the buzz came in. Assignments for the Planet finished, and apartment-hunting done for the day, he was relaxing by the ocean in his favorite island. Gar had things to do, so he took the opportunity to rest a bit-

And then the buzz came.

The Rabbit Hole opens into the room and Vorpal steps through, trailing a bit of sand behind him.

At least it's not glitter.

"Hey guys..." he is still hoking a coconut with the top hacked off and a straw in the resulting hole. "... anyone for coconut milk?" he asks, as he plops down on a chair.

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
It takes a not insignificant amount of time between Nadia's initial message to the T-comms when things initially went crazy at the Triskelion and her arrival at the Titans Tower. The Waspette made a bee-line for the group's base as fast as her biosynethetic wings could carry her. Even pushing her top speeds to the point of straining their structural integrity it was still a couple hours flight from upstate New York to Metropolis.

A breathless Waspette staggers into the room, "This... is really bad you guys... like whole world thousands of portals... really bad." She leans back against the wall just inside of the door to catch her breath.

Donna Troy has posed:
Donna can be very business-like when it comes to team meetings. While she normally tends to the relaxed approach, she takes the Titans very seriously and when there's something important to be done she's usually all focus. Usually.

When Kara arrives, she's greeted at first by a "Hi Kara!" and a broad grin, and then shortly afterwards by a hug. It may have been several weeks since the four missing Titans had returned, but Donna at least isn't quite used to it yet, and tends to show it. It's only a quick hug though, before she's equally quickly covering up Kara's bundle by leaning her shield against it. Although Kara had 'come out' to a group of the Titans, Donna isn't entirely sure if that includes /all/ the Titans - she's just making sure, in case clothes get recognized.

The grin goes wider when Nadia appears, and she's quickly swept up in a second hug. "That's why we're having this meeting, Nadia. Come take a seat and take a deep breath. We have dealt with worse. Don't you worry!"

Terry does not get a hug. Poor Terry, what has he done to deserve this cold shoulder, other than being stuck on the same spaceship as Donna for months on end? Actually mostly it's that. He gets a smile and a "Hey Terry," though, so she's obviously not holding it against him.

Donna resumes he seat and picks up her tablet again. "Right, to the point. There are an unknown number of doppelgangers. Some of them may be superpowered. Some of them may be Titans. We need to do deal with this issue. I'd like to run a little of my thinking past you three and see what you say. Supergirl, we know what happened to your doppelganger. Therefore we know that you are you. Vorpal, we don't know if there's an alternative Terry, but the Cheshire Cat comes from Wonderland, not Earth, or alternate-Earth. It's a fair assumption that if there is an alternative Terry, he isn't Vorpal, because you are. The fact that you rabbit holed here means it's a solid bet that you are you. Nadia -- it's unlikely that the circumstances on that alternative Earth would have unfolded in a way that would even have allowed for you to be born, but I believe it's a fair assumption that in a world unified under ZZGU there would be no Red Room. I think that makes you reasonably safe from impersonation, though I would consider you a bigger risk than the other two. However your involvement in the science of this makes it worth taking the risk."

"Which leaves me. If there is a me on that alternative Earth, we know she never made it to Themyscira. Supergirl and I visited Themyscira in that world. They did not know me. Therefore she does not have two decades of Themysciran training, and was not granted the gifts of the Goddesses, and is unlikely to be any more of a threat than an alternative Terry."

"We need to find ways to ensure that nobody has been replaced. Different members of the team pose a greater or lesser risk of being replaced, and of the consequences of that replacement. I believe Raven's nature means she is safe too, but the consequences if I am wrong are... huge. Therefore I am not inviting her into this cabal just yet. Comments?"

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara returns the hug from Donna. She's getting better at offering back a small squeeze that isn't too strong for regular humans. She has to be less careful with Donna, but she's practicing. She smiles to Vorp and says, "No thank you." Her eyes turn to Nadia as she comes in gasping for air, "/ta? What is this?"

Kara seats herself down at the table and furrows her brow, "Oh. It seems that place isn't done with us yet after all. These are the same humans who set off nuclear weapons." She thinks for a moment, "If they haven't gotten the cure yet, then we would be able to tell that they are infected if we got a blood sample. If they had gotten the cure, well, that rules that out."

She tilts her head, "It's possible they have some kind of residual harmonics at a subatomic level, but this isn't exactly your casual physics. I'll have to do some experiments," she says not mentioning how or where she does this Kryptonian science. "This is bad timing too, as I was hoping to... actually never mind. It's not important, Earth needs us now more than ever."

"We need to determine who else on our team can be trusted. When did the doppelgangers start arriving?," she wonders.

Terry O'Neil has posed:
Vorpal takes a sip on his coconut milk and nods, listening to Donna's argument. "That is correct, there is only ever one Cheshire cat in the multiverse and, until I die, that's /moi/, so if there's a Terry on that other Earth... he's probably not alive."

Rather cavalier a way to refer to his alternate self, but... "I can do a check on Gar. There are things about our... relationship back when we first met that his doppelganger wouldn't know. Such as, for example, what he called me when he first saw me in my Vorpal shape in March. Or... a few other things. Gar isn't telepathic, so he wouldn't know the answers to that. And if he /doesn't/ know them when I ask him... we'll know he's a doppelganger."

He pauses, "I'll need your help to subdue him if that's the case, Donna. I know a lot of people discount Gar for being goofy but... he could easily match you and Starfire in lethality if he ever threw his morals out the window. And that Earth's Gar, might..." he looks over at Nadia, "Your doppelganger is someone I would definitely /not/ want to meet in a dark alley. Or a lit alley. Or...

And then, he lifts a finger, "Oh. Telepathy. That brings me to the next idea. Kian. He can be an incredible asset in rooting out doppelgangers... he is a gifted telepath. Heck, just a few days back, Kian mind-melded me with Gar to... work out some things. And that was /my/ Gar... so unless he's been replaced in the last week..."

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
Nadia returns Donna's hug warmly, she never tires of hugs and even at her most exhausted can always muster the energy for one.

"There were around 5000 detected breaches at the time Director Fury said Dad and I had to leave." Nadia supplies as close to a number as is available to the unknown number of Dopplegangers after listening to Donna. From the formality she says 'Director Fury' with it is pretty clear she was not terribly thrilled with his decision. But that just means she needs to construct another monitoring station of her own.

Nadia nods listening to Donna's logic, "The Red Room would have existed before ZZGU's arrival, but I likely never would have wound up there since I was born afterward. It is more likely that..." she falls quiet as a revelation hits her she had not fully considered, "Maria Trovaya would still be alive." After everything she recently went through concerning her mother, it is a bombshell to her brain. She shakes it off for the moment though, "I would have likely grown up with my original parents and become Ant-Girl or something."

She nods her head in agreement with Kara, "I was thinking along similar lines that passing through the portals might leave a Quantum energy signature on them at an atomic or subatomic level where they might be detectable in a similar fashion to the breaches, at close range if not further afield. Though there is no telling how long such an effect would last. Maybe we can collaborate and compare notes?" Nadia is determined to solve this, though a part of her would also still love to see more Kryptonian Science if she's being honest.

"Watch out for Ant-Girl. I can't discount her existence completely." She informs Terry after his comments about alleys.

Donna Troy has posed:
"It I was planning their invasion," Donna says to Kara, "The first doppelgangers would have appeared months before there were any large-scale or active incursions. Each team would have at least one doppelganger in place for some time. I would tend to go for less overtly powerful members of the team as it would be easier to deal with them. Ones who are on the periphery. I would emphasize the importance of going undetected above actually succeeding in the mission. The inhabitants of that other Earth do not seem to be quite as rational as we are, so let's hope they aren't that good at planning."

"However, knowing a first date would be useful, because that will help with our planning. Nadia - you guys did a lot of scence trying to find us. I don't know how far you got with that, but perhaps there is something in that research that would help out? Also, those aliens you met, the... " she glances down at her tablet. "The Seekers of the Forever Dark. They seem to be experts at analyzing wormhole traces. Might it be possible to ask them for help with that?"

Donna raises an eyebrow at Terry. "Was it 'Nice kitty' or 'Pretty kitty'? She asks. "Come on, this is Gar. And you're forgetting something - Gar /can/ be telepathic. Remember what happened when he took Akiar form? For that matter, we can't be sure if Kian hasn't been taken over yet. What happened if his alternative number appeared on Alternative Earth rather than our Earth? We just don't know."

"There are people on the League we can clear, too. Supergirl, as I understand on that world your cousin was killed, is that correct? If so than Superman is safe. My sister is safe too - her alternative version was never converted. And of course she has a lasso that will be a lot of help for the League to ensure that they can identify who is who."

"Well, luckily we have a secret weapon too. Everyone knows about Diana's lasso. And everyone knows that my lasso is not the famous Lasso of Truth, right?" Donna smiles sympathetically at Nadia. "So... there may be an Ant-Girl. We can establish right now that you are /our/ Nadia, not the other one, though. Because I've been holding out on people a bit." She reaches a hand out from under the table to show her lasso, glowing golden. "Are you willing, Nadia? Doesn't hurt at all, I promise. And I will ask you nothing except the question 'Are you Nadia Pym-van Dyne born on this Earth, and do you wish to defend this Earth from the doppelgangers and other representatives of ZZGU?'. And all you have to do is say 'Yes, I am.' Is that okay?"

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara taps a finger on the table top a moment and says, "On the other hand Troia. The first encounter we had with them - myself and a hero named Aftershock - they had been here long enough to do such a thing but instead spend their time making a gateway to bring ZZGU to our planet."

"And the DEO scientist took less than a week to build such a device from radio shack components. So ... if we're going by that timeline they've been here for months already." She frowns a moment, "That isn't comforting at all."

"I suppose anybody who is telepathic can give us any answer we think should be correct and we'd never be able to tell. That'd turn the battle in to telepath vs telepath and how are we meant to know who walked away the winner, if the bad guy dominates the good guy?," she says.. more reasons she doesn't like magic.

"Yes. Kal El was one of the first heroes to die fighting ZZGU," she confirms with a touch of sadness in her eyes at the thought, "But not before he summoned the last city of Krypton for aid. Not that that helped exactly..." nor the bizarre and confusion notion that she would *ever* become Dru-Zod's apprentice.

"Yes, Diana's lasso, that might be the best kind of magic for this problem. Still, I'd prefer we solved it with science." Though, her eyes widen a touch as she sees Donna's lasso glowing gold. "Is that Diana's or did you get a blessing?" Though her cheeks colour just a touch at the memory of that fierce Diana in her golden armor and flying horse tossing that lasso about her.

Terry O'Neil has posed:
"Point, Donna, point. Now I am thinking about the possiblity that the guy I've been in a relationship with all this time may actually be a doppelganger..." he furrows his brow. "... of course, that would make sense, wouldn't it."

He taps his claw on the table, "I'm gonna have to borrow that lasso when you're done with it. For reasons." He then cranes his neck to watch Nadia as Donna puts her on the spot. Hey, at least he wasn't on the spot for once, he is going to enjoy not being Donna-targeted for this moment as he watches how she will respond.

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
Nadia doesn't hesitate at all, she has at times been called too cavalier or trusting. Certain other members of the Black Widow Ops program find it hard to believe she has survived as long as she has, but she trusts Donna and it is a chance to experience magic first hand, which means first hand data! "Of course. I mean I could tell you about some of the various horrible things I picked out of Russian gruel as a child, but this works, too." She waits obediently to be lasso'd.

She nods in agreement at Supergirl's desire for a scientific solution. "The first thing I'm going to do is make sure we have as much detection ability as possible for these breaches and then do what I can to figure out detecting the copies. Dad wants to help too, and I bet Tony and the other Avengers will be attacking this problem also."

Donna Troy has posed:
Donna smiles at Nadia, and quietly says "Thank you," as she stands and walks around the table to loop the lasso gently around her shoulders. "You think Diana wouldn't lend me her lasso if I ask nicely, Supergirl?" she says with a smile. "There, now..."

Donna tightens the lasso a little and asks Nadia the question, word for word the one she had promised to ask, "Are you Nadia Pym-van Dyne born on this Earth, and do you wish to defend this Earth from the doppelgangers and other representatives of ZZGU?"

"Yes, I am," Nadia replies. It's very... easy. There are no strange sensations. The lasso doesn't seem to react in any way. If Nadia was hoping there would be some interesting magical effects, she's disappointed.

Donna loosens the lasso and slips it gently off Nadia's shoulders, replacing it with a hand that gives her a gentle squeeze. "I'm glad to hear that, Nadia," She says, and walks back to take her seat again, coiling the lasso as she goes.

"I'm going to tell you all a secret," Donna says with a slight frown. "Please do not share this with anyone. This is not Diana's lasso, it's mine. It's magical, yes. That's why it glows. But it has no power to force people to speak the truth. The Lasso was just in case you were the doppleganger, Nadia. I cannot make people speak the truth, but I know when I hear them lie to me. That, Supergirl, is one of the blessings that the Goddesses granted me, as an Amazon. I'm not really just good at reading people, I /know/."

"So there you have it. That's our secret weapon. All we have to do is get someone to say something that will be a lie if they are a doppleganger, and I'll know. But we'll have to do this subtly so that we do not tip people off in advance, and we'll have to do it in a situation where we can contain any dopplegangers we find."

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara nibbles on her bottom lip a little bit as she watches the ritual take place. Her eyebrows raise though when Troia tells them of her power. "I see. I understand that you wish to keep this secret. I will keep your secret. But.. we need to determine if Robin is who he says he is, because if there's anybody here who can root out fakes without the need for magic or technology, it's Robin and Nightwing."

She smiles a touch and says, "Though, I can usually tell when someone is lying to me. I don't think these people from that other Earth would be any good at deceiving themselves enough that they won't react to their own lies." She taps an ear, "I can hear it in their heart beat when people start lying."

"Caitlin must be checked too. I imagine Cyborg must be quite unique as well. We have the advantage that many of us are in unique circumstances. Most people are not. Though it's true that the moment we start looking for doppelgangers we will find them. What is the plan once we've found one? does SHIELD have a way to deal with them?"

Terry O'Neil has posed:
"I already knew that!" Vorpal grins, "But then again, we needed Donna's truth-telling back in that other dimension, so she sort of had to tell us... that's why you never see me anwering when she asks who took the last donut..."

He grins at Donna , then he says , "Zatanna Zatara. I met her the other day but I haven't had a chance to talk to her yet... but we could ask her if she could create some magical devices that detect lies? Like pearls that turn black when someone utters a lie in its presence. I got that idea reading one of the Oz books when I was a kid..." Vorpal pauses, and then looks around, "Hey, Wonderland is real, Oz could be too, you never know. In any case, Zatanna, once we verified it's her, could help provide us with magical trinkers. If we also have scientific truth-tellers, we can have various ways of verifying people are who they are supposed to be."

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
Nadia blinks as the lasso is removed, like that's it? She was clearly expecting more. Though it makes more sense after Donna's explanation. She nods slowly as she listens, "Your secret is safe with me. We should also take some precautions so we do not have to keep repeating this ritual though, establish codephrases that only we know. Also we should start operating a second T-Comm frequency that only those who have been cleared are switched over over to.

Nadia looks a bit excited again at the mention of more magic, "Oh, I've heard of her. She's in the Justice League isn't she? That would be neat. Though I am confident we can SCIENCE! the hell out of this and find a solution. Although I wonder if Dr. Von Doom would have some insight as both a brilliant scientist and a powerful sorceror. He's been really hard to get in contact with lately though."

"Wonder-what? What's Oz?" She asks Vorpal looking completely lost.

Donna Troy has posed:
"It's not something I keep strictly secret," Donna says, nodding her head to Vorpal when he mentions an incident back in the Seven Worlds. "It's more like... well, it's better to be underestimated. Never act as fast as you can, only as fast as you need. Never show you can hit harder than the job requires." She flashes a grin at Kara. "And don't let everyone know how much you can tell about them from listening to their heart-beat in case one day you need to surprise them with it."

As she talks, she slides black indelible sharpies across the table. "The codephrase is 'there is no codephrase'. I'll send you all an encrypted channel number after we've finished talking. And please put a small dot of ink just on the inside of the third joint of your little fingers, and renew it if it starts to fade."

"We should aim to employ a combination of scientific, magical and psychic detection, as all three methods are subject to counter-tactics. I'm inclined to trust my sense of truth though, because honestly if there's anyone who's powerful enough to defeat the /aletheia/ of the Gods... we're in big trouble." Donna arches an eyebrow at Vorpal. "Though if we want additional magical means, can I remind you that the Titans have their own magical expert? We don't need to go running to the League for help just yet. And I'm more confident that our Raven isn't a doppleganger than I would be of Zatanna."

"As for Caitlin and Vic..." Donna frowns a little. "They are... both of them have histories that are unlikely to have happened in the other world. For that reason they should be priorities for testing and bringing into this cabal. I'm just... gods. It's hard. Nadia, I was very confident that you are the real you, but even then testing you was... I don't know what I'd do if one of us has been replaced."

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara picks up a sharpie and places the dot upon her finger. "I can't promise I'll always have this dot on, but if you remind me I'll know where to put it." She smiles and lets out a small sigh, "Code phrases. Let's not let paranoia get the best of us. These are our friends -- and Troia, if one of them has been replaced, we will find our friend and rescue them. It is that simple," she says with a confident nod.

"Raven and Troia should clear Robin and Nightwing then, they are tactical geniuses with devious minds like no others.. if anyone could have survived on that planet, it'd have been people like them." She smiles and stands up from the table. "Please, remember to fill your heart with love and not fear. Those strangers cannot fake the love we share for each other. Believe me," she says to Vorpal and Nadia, "I've seen the world they came from, they don't know how."

Terry O'Neil has posed:
Vorpal looks at his fur-covered hand, and grabs the sharpie after Kara is done with it. "As Roseanne Roseannadanna used to say, if it ain't one thing it's anotha- whether it's Warzoon invading or you get lost in a pocket dimension or evil doppelgangers pop up all over the place, right?" Terry may have spent a few late nights during highschool watching the Gilda Radner SNL collection DVDs with his mother. "But we should come up with a plan of action if any of us can identify a 'ganger. Like, I'm pretty much the weakest member of the team and any of their doubles can easily just snuff me out like a candle. Should we have an over-the-comm code for 'Come over to my coordinates or I'm a dead man?' Something like 'Hey, who's up for anchovy and pineapple pizza' so someone can come over and help with the subduing? Remember, if someone has taken the place of one of our friends, it means that time is of the essence to recover them..."

He frowns and looks at his phone for a second. Then his eyes go wide. "April might be in serious danger..."

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
Nadia takes the marker and nods making the mark on the inside of her finger. She also gives Donna another hug. "I understand, believe I do. I had a similar experience with someone I've placed trust in recently and now I'm left wondering if she wasn't replaced." She sighs and gives Donna another squeeze. "It is going to be a tough road ahead, but we'll get through it. Just when I thought I'd escaped the world of lies, now the whole world might really be lies again."

She shakes her head at the dismissal of paranoia. "It's not paranoia when there actually are murderous doubles. I watched one of the first to cross in this wave put a bullet in their counterpart on a live SHIELD feeds. In this sort of situation, 'paranoia' saves lives. It's something I have long struggled with, I want to believe the best in everyone too. But we have to be sure. We... there's just... too much at stake, too much to lose..."

Donna Troy has posed:
"Don't underestimate them, Supergirl," Donna says as she adds a dot to her own finger. "Your duplicate was all rage until the cure was provided. Now... now she is all guilt. The last four decades of their history is completely different from our history and it would be a mistake to forget it. Duplicate Titans may be very different people from their equivalents in this world. They may be more crafty than your duplicate. They may be very good actors. There might even be those amongst them who are more consciously willing collaborators than your doppelganger was."

"But..." Donna is suddenly smiles all round when Nadia hugs her. "With an appropriate note of caution, I agree with Supergirl. We are a family, they are not. We know from their world that they can work together, but they don't care as much as we do. They don't know us like we know each other. And no Nadia, the whole world isn't lies. Just a few little corners of this world, and we have ways of seeing through those lies."

"Vorpal, I hope we can bypass that problem by clearing the team fast, but that's a good point. If any of you locate a doppelganger..." she starts pressing buttons on her T-com, and each of the three others receive a beep of a private message on theirs. "There. We have a private channel. Just open the channel with a location tag and say nothing. That will let the rest of us know you need help."

"So the next step is clearing Raven." Donna frowns and shakes her head. "Leave that up to me. I don't think it's possible that there would be an alt-Raven... were there, ZZGU's influence on her would have opened a certain doorway, and there would be no more ZZGU. But if there is... well. Just leave that to me. Supergirl, you and I should work together to clear Caitlin. She's probably safe, but if not it would be a good idea for the two of us to be there to deal with her. Then Robin, Nightwing and Hawkeye will be our next targets, and we'll work on the rest from there, and... Terry? Your cousin. Do you need help?"

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara nods her head, "It's a plan. We need to be swift." She smiles confidently, "We've got this. We beat ZZGU, we beat my moody duplicate. We won over the other Amazonians despite it all. It's a good order, we must get to it. /:byshu/."

Terry O'Neil has posed:
Vorpal shakes his head slowly, "April is human. Her doppelganger isn't a threat I can't take... I won't need help with her... but we may have a problem if another Harley Quinn came through." The Cheshire steeples his fingers. "Think about it for a second. April and I were the ones who pushed Harley to see Diana, which started her on the path to redeeming herself. That never happened on their world, so this Harley is probably going to go straight to... the Joker."

He pauses, and his brow furrows more, "If she hasn't already crossed over /with/ a version of the Joker. Which means that right now there may be two Jokers on the loose. And /they/ are likely to try to collaborate rather than supplant each other, if it means taking Batman down."

He hrrrms. "So... maybe I'll need help with Harley. And that means relying on..." he groans, "that ankle-biter who absolutely loathes me. Robin. So I can't verify that Harley hasn't been doppleed until you guys give Robin the all-clear."

He looks frustrated, and exhales. "So that leaves Mom and April. I'll clear them. And... Gar. Gar's a priority, because his shapeshifting would make him /extremely/ dangerous not only as a combatant... but also as a spy."

He glances around the room for the first sign of anything green and small. Just in case. "Also, not to be catty but... where was this ZZGU when they handed out the vowels? Under the cosmic table?"

A Rabbit Hole opens and a tome drops in front of Nadia. It is the first edition Alice in Wonderland that Viv gave Terry for Christmas. "A little loan. Consider it research material on your fellow team-mate," Vorpal grins at Nadia, answering her question from earlier. "Oz will come later."

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
Nadia closes here eyes for a moment but nots and gives a small smile, "We will get through this. I'm so glad I became part of a team. It is so much easier to face things like this when you know you are not alone. You guys do that, I'm going to barricade myself in the lab and work on building what what we need, both systems already developed and a few new toys I want to experiment with. Send over Caitlin and Vic once they are cleared. We will figure this out."

She blinks when the book appears, "Oh sure okay, that's neat. I'll try inbetween saving the world."

Donna Troy has posed:
"Ah... it's unlikely there would be the circumstances to create a Joker or a Batman in their world," Donna replies. "And even if there were duplicates of them, there's no reason to think they would be arch-enemies. They could even be allies in the service of ZZGU. Or the Joker could be a freedom fighter who's insanity has protected him against mental control, and is the closest there world has to a good guy. Don't fall into the trap of thinking we can predict their behavior based on their counterparts."

Donna reaches out a hand and gives Vorpal a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "You and I will check Gar together. I know that will be a big weight off your mind. Then you can look in on April with him in tow. I'm sure the pair of you can deal with Harley Quinn. Nadia, any resources you need, let me know. And if anyone who is not cleared asks, you are working on a secret project with some technology I brought back from the Seven Worlds that I have asked you to keep it confident for now. Anyone who wants to know must be referred to me for clearance. Okay?"

"Supergirl." Donna looks at her with a playful grin. "Shouldn't that be... /zhrythrevu/ or something? I really must take some lessons when we have a bit of time. Alternatively I guess I could say... well. We are Titans. We have a plan, let's go do it. Or... Vorpal, I know you want to... go on!"

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara turns and gives Nadia a hug, then Terry, then Troia and says, "Close... /zrhythrevium/."

Terry O'Neil has posed:
Vorpal doesn't speak any other languages. Well, Wonderland has its own thing, but you can't really count it. He stares as Kara delivers a sample of the language, and blinks. He's always wanted to learn another language, maybe someday it will happen.

"Alright, then, so... Titans, Assemb- wait, no, that's the other guys."

He takes a sip of his coconut milk, clears his throat, and says- "To the plan-- Titans, Together!"

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
Nadia looks at Donna, looks at Kara, looks at Terry, "Sure, that works. Let's do this!"
