Cast of Characters: Jessica Drew, Heidi Ingerdottir

Jessica Drew has posed:
Jessica can't claim to be a New York girl, not even a big city girl though she has adapted fast to life in a metropolis after glitzy LA and classy San Fransisco. New York neighborhoods have an old world feel to her, something akin to London or Paris where people know one another by sight on the street and can grow up never having to leave their city. The bar, a long solid slab of wood that has supported enough elbows to round its edge has stools pulled up to it. The dark-haired woman doesn't stand out in her black clothes, turtleneck and slim pants fitted into boots. Nothing bright about her tonight except for the pale skin of her face. She is nursing a whiskey, tucked up on a stool at the end of the bar and facing the doorway. The bartender, muscular black man, pours a drink for the waitress at the far end of the bar.

Heidi Ingerdottir has posed:
Heidi can't claim to be anything from any of those places, but she can claim to be /present in the room/, as the near-Valkyrie promptly strolls in the door. She's the opposite in appearance, a billowy sky-blue shirt and a pair of jeans making her a much brighter sight. She, at first, begins to make her way towards the bar for a drink but she's certainly well aware of familiar faces. "Hail!" She offers, although it's not /too/ loudly. It's a friendly greeting at a bar, not a call across the road, after all.

Jessica Drew has posed:
A smile tugs at one corner of Jessica's mouth, wry and amused at the tall woman's enthusiasm. It is not of this world and brings an attractive light and lightness with it. She raises her hand, "Hey, Heidi. Come sit with me and I'll buy you a drink!"

Heidi Ingerdottir has posed:
The Asgardian makes her way over, taking a seat on a nearby stool with surprising grace. "I should walk into more bars, if that should mean that I find friends in them." She's found, so far, it's easier to make friends outside of a bar and then take them into one than vice versa.

Jessica Drew has posed:
"I was working downtown. Got a guy maybe doing the dirty on his wife and his clients. Very much the same story you don't want to hear around the world," Jessica says in a low voice, her clear British accent edged with laughter. The bartender comes to their end of the bar, his dark eyes admiring the statuesque woman that has join Jessica. Two striking women, as different as night and day, sitting at his bar has him on his mettle. "Ladies. What can I get your friend, Jessica?"

Heidi Ingerdottir has posed:
Heidi has been learning just enough lately. One is that she shouldn't shout about being Asgardian quite as loudly to /everyone/, so instead she states, "I am unfamliiar with your alcohol... how about a suggestion? Whatever you enjoy!" Her attention goes back to Jessica. "At least you are able to keep yourself busy." She feels the need to put a positive spin on things, even if it's not such a great thing in the first place. It's a nice gesture.

Jessica Drew has posed:
"My treat. I'm drinking whiskey, single malt, Laphroaig which is very particular but I love it. I'd say you were more a beer or aqua vitae kind of girl myself, maybe even gin with extra juniper in it. What do you think, Andy? Andy this is my friend Heidi. Treat her very well and you may have a new patron." Jessica taps a slender hand on the bar to emphasize her words, her blue eyes dancing.

Heidi Ingerdottir has posed:
"I am very fond of return visits to fine establishments," Heidi says with a grin before looking back to Jessica. "I've found nothing yet beats the strength of Asgardian mead, but as for flavor... I'm still searching for what to make a drink of choice for when I am here. I am beginning to think I have a particualar palate for these things."

Jessica Drew has posed:
"Mead?" The bartender repeats, eyes wavering between the two then fastening on Heidi. "Is that the honey based drink? I've never tasted it myself. So, let me ask you. Do you prefer sweet or something that makes your eyes water and stings nicely going down or more thirst quenching like beer?"

Jessica holds up her glass to Heidi, "Here smell this. This has the taste and smell of peat in the heat of the alcohol. Not to everyone's taste."

Heidi Ingerdottir has posed:
Heidi nods towards the bartender. "Honey. Strongest, sweetest stuff. Knock you on your ass in no time flat." She seems to be thinking about the question when Jessica holds up her glass. She leans over to smell it, taking a good whiff. "Earthy. I like it." She looks back to the bartender with a bright smile. "Give me something of the eye-watering stinging variety. Something /strong/. Knock me off my feet."
