Tangentally
Date of Scene: 06 January 2021
Location: Gotham Docks
Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Lucius Fox, Atlin, Ariah Olivie, Temple Fugate

Lucius Fox has posed:
Lucius Fox is testing a drone using the relativistic GPS compensator he is making for the Ray and has a set of VR goggles as he strolls, enjoying the sights around him in a split window (its not like he isnt paying attention) but he sees a simple mugging near him and frowns. He voice commands his phone, "Dial GCPD" but suddenly nearby drone usage is interfering with it. He curses and moves the drone to follow the mugger until he can fix the phone to call the police.

Atlin has posed:
Atlin wasn't quite so high-tech. She was wrapped in simple borrowed workout clothing, shorts and a dark zip-up hoodie. Given the weather it might seem strange...but compared to the figure-hugging Amazon armor she wore beneath it was still slightly less eye-catching.

The blonde woman was currently nursing a takeaway coffee cup, sipping her drink as she made her way down the street.

Lucius Fox has posed:
The mugger kept running, almost stopping and looking in it when he spotted the drone. Lucius following and the victim also shouting for police b ut no one is doing anything (well...except Lucius). Lucius is no athelete but he can jog and moves after as he can. The mugger swears and takes off down the boardwalk.

Ariah Olivie has posed:
Ariah isn't terribly uncommon to find in Gotham at any given day. She might be based out of NYC but she gets around. The small, white-haired woman is standing in front of one of those little 'Take a book, leave a book' mini libraries that are scattered around modern cities these days. There's a little bag slung over her shoulder and she's currently comparing two titles, one in each hand, presently oblivious of the commotion going on at present--or the super keen VR-Drone-Goggle thing going on.

Atlin has posed:
A mugging wasn't an uncommon occurance in Gotham, but the feelings of fear, desperation and shock that brushes her empathic senses? That was enough to draw in the Amazon's intention.

Taking off at a run, Atlin's path takes her rushing right past Ariah's booth, disturbing several of the books and sending pages aflutter. It wouldn't take long to spot her on thr feed of the drone chasing to criminal down.

Lucius Fox has posed:
The criminal is not a master warrior though he is fit and spry, so its a chase but not one that Atlin has ANY chance of not winning. Lucius follows, now curious and not yet calling the police. He hasnt seen Atlin before and enjoys meeting new heroes.

Ariah Olivie has posed:
A soft little sigh escapes Ariah's lips, parted just enough to allow the air to escape. She takes a moment, fixing the books, and placing one back. Her decision seems to have come quickly enough, as she turns to see just why someone is rushing past her. Then the white-haired girl shakes her head, snowy brow lifted for a moment, and takes off after the runners. She's not hard to follow, that white fluttering skirt and stark white hair is like a beacon in the sun.

Atlin has posed:
In Bana-Mighdall, the punishments for theft would have been far more severe than what was coming for the man, but that didn't mean she was going to be particularly gentle.

Skidding to a stop before the man in that sudden burst of speed, arms folded under her bust.

"Halt brigand," she speaks, accented tones clear if a little old-fashioned. "Surrender what you have stolen."

Her eyes lift, spotting Ariah in all her pale glory following before her gaze drops down back to the mugger.

Lucius Fox has posed:
The thief tries dumping the purse and leaping over a nearby fence into someone's yard right as they BBQ. Lucius is nearly there, and curious glad to see someone intervened.

Ariah Olivie has posed:
There's a soft tsk when the thief drops and runs. Ariah flashes a momentary glance at Atlin, then picks up a sudden burst of speed. All pocket-sized woman that she is artfully leaps over the fence in pursuit. There's a soft, 'Excusez-moi' uttered to the grillmaster/mistress in passing before she goes for a bit of a leaping tackle.

It's an attempt to grab the runner by the shouulders, dig a knee into the spine, and then ride him like a sled on the grass using his own momentum. She really doesn't want to get grass stains on that white skirt.

Atlin has posed:
A blink of suprise comes from Atlin as Ariah demonstrates her own inhuman movement and takes down the thug, riding him down to the dirt and pinning him in place.

She might have done similar, but she hadn't expected it from another.

Arms fall, the Amazon reaches to retrieve the stolen purse before tilting her head and then finally looking to the unfortunate BBQ attendees. "Apologies for the interuption."

Lucius Fox has posed:
The thug is taken down right in front of the family of four with the BBQ. Lucius catches up and opens the gate smiling, "Great job ladies." The family smiles and says, "Anyone want hotdogs?" They are a friendly bunch.

The thug is a biter but it isnt hard to push him down ina way to render him harmless.

Ariah Olivie has posed:
"Oui, apologies..." Ariah says quietly from her new perch. She's small, but she's doing her best to keep the man on the ground, eating grass. She shakes her head slowly, "Non, merci," she states in regards to the food, bowing her head politely. Absently, she checks her bag, lips pursed, "...and no books harmed..." she says, as if that were her priority. Her voice is soft and cold, tinted heavily in French.

Atlin has posed:
Atlin doesn't own any divine lasso to restrain the thug, and one would shudder to think what such a thing from her heritage would do anyway. Instead, they'd simply have to wait until the man was collected by the police.

Of course, Atlin didn't own a phone...

Lucius arrival? It brings a tilt of her head and a raise of her eyebrow, if only for his strange 'headgear'.

"Who are you? Who are either of you?

Lucius Fox has posed:
Lucius Fox takes it off, "I was recording our friend, name's Lucius Fox and thank you for apprehending him." He holds the purse up, "I can return this to her. That was fine job you two did" the family definitely recognizes him and he has a hamburger to be friendly.

Ariah Olivie has posed:
"Ariah," the small woman stays quietly, not moving where she sits. She has no rope, and would rather not let someone just run off. She glances over her shoulder at him, "Do not attempt to flee or you will be hurt," she states in a cold tone, no uncertain terms, before turning back to look at the two arrivals. "I like to help sometimes," is all she says.

Atlin has posed:
"Thieves who prey on the helpless are due punishment," Atlin speaks as she steps back, frowning for a moment before offering out the purse to Lucius. "See that it is returned then," she practically instructs before nodding her head at the introductions. "I am Atlin of Bana-Mighdall"

Lucius Fox has posed:
Lucius Fox takes a piece of the bread wrapper and makes a zip tie out of it rather quickly to hand to the girls so they dont have to keep kneeling on the thief while the family watches quietly, enjoying super heroes and Lucius Fox. Lucius smiles, "Nice too met you, and I will. Welcome to Gotham. Either of you ladies going to be local?"

Ariah Olivie has posed:
Ariah wouldn't call herself a superhero. She doesn't really look like one, either. No costume. No strange features. Well, okay, the pale skin and the stark white hair, but come on. She looks like a college student. Kids these days, right? She marvels at Lucius making a binding so easily, though, and seems to have no trouble holding the perp's wrists and locking them in place to tie up.

Then she stands and smooths out her skirt and her bag, tilting her head to the side some at the question. "I like riding the train," she says quietly, almost absently. A little spooky, maybe.

Atlin has posed:
"I am a traveller," Atlin shrugs, as if that were answedr enough for her intentions of becoming a local or not. "Learning what I can, seeing what I can and doing what I can." A nod of her head to the captured crook whom she sincerly hoped someone had called to be collected, the tanned woman shrugs her shoulders once more. "I imagine I will visit here as often as anywhere else."

Temple Fugate has posed:
While all of the commotion involving the mugger and the interfering heroes one would be forgiven if they didn't notice the upcoming danger. Temple Fugate, alias The Clock King, had finally returned to Gotham after a long absence, and he was ready to make a big impact. Fugate stood near the sight of the mugger's capture, just out of sight of Atlin and company. He was wearing a brown tuxedo jacket, a white dress shirt with black tie, brown formal pants, brown shoes, and a brown bowler hat. He was also wearing a pair of glasses whose frames resembled that of a clock face, which were currently facing a Rolex store across the street from the site. He hrrumphed impatiently and pulled out his pocket watch, and grunted again. As he put his pocket watch back in his suit pocket, he said,

"Where is that blasted bus? It's five minutes behind schedule. Leave it to this blasted city to have horrific scheduling. No wonder I never lived here!"

Suddenly, Temple smirked when he heard the familiar sounds of a bus coming up the street. Temple rolls up his sleeve, revealing seven pocket watched, and pressed one of them on the face. As this happens, one of the buses tires is caught in a miniature explosion which echoes across the street. The bus looses control and crashes straight into the Rolex store. Fugate smiles to himself and begins to rush over to the store, seemingly by himself

Lucius Fox has posed:
Lucius Fox says, "Pleasure to meet you both," he is quite relaxed and his usual charisma and charm ooze from every poor. He is very comfortable talking to strangers, "Traveling is good, I can recommend several great places to ...." he is about to also comment on riding the train when the Bus goes chaotic and he says,"I'll contact the authorities...maybe the two of you can do something?"

Ariah Olivie has posed:
Ariah listens intently to Lucius' words. She seems like she's legitimately interested in having the kindly man play tour guide, or at least give her some hints for around town when... something explodes. She moves to the edge of the fence, glancing down the street and seeing the bus crash and someone rushing over towards it.

"...there is someone very well dressed making a dash for a watch shop..." she says, almost deadpan, as if this is nothing new for Gotham. Then she shuffles over to Lucius and holds her book bag up to the taller man. "Could you please keep an eye on these for me? Merci," she says quietly.

Lucius Fox has posed:
Lucius Fox nods to her as he zip ties the fellow and says to Atlin, "Can you go get help?" As she goes to do so he wishes he DID carry some Bat zizmo's with him but that is precisely the reason WHY he doesnt because it would be a giant read target on him and Wayne Corp every time he did
