Zapped Like a Bug Zapper
Date of Scene: 09 January 2021
Location: Kitty's Room
Synopsis: After Warren recovers from getting electrocuted by Nori, he stops by Kitty's room. 1980s Glamour Shots are narrowly avoided
Cast of Characters: Kitty Pryde, Warren Worthington

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Earlier Kitty had gotten a text from Warren that he was coming by to drop off the karaoke machine. Resulting in a fast shower by Kitty, a little extra time spent on her hair. Makeup (just a touch) and even a spritz of perfume.

The Rec Room was the scene of an odd impromptu sparring match slash combat evaluation slash does Emma know what the hell she's doing? At least that's how Kitty would write it in her diary if she kept one. But she doesn't.

In any event, Kitty headed back upstairs to field an important email. She didn't know if Warren caught her glance before she departed. But she's left her door open, and the matter at JVD Fashion, one of Kitty's two consulting contracts on their computer systems, is now resolved.

"What do you think, Lockheed, should I go back down? Or wait up here. I'm not sure if he knew I was inviting him to stop by," she tells the little purple dragon. He just looks back at her from where he sits on the bed. He gave Warren a stare earlier. The warning stare. Before landing on his shoulder in acceptance.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Suddenly there is a slow tapping, as if someone gently rapping, rapping at her chamber door. It's no Raven, but the figure in question does have wings. Large white ones that look a little singed at the edges.

Warren's usually well kept hair is tousled and sticking up a bit as if someone hit him with a nice jolt of electricity, and there is the faint odor of ozone that starts to permiate the air in the room originating from the winged mutant.

"Kat? Um..I have the right room..right?" he says as he peeks inside the door, being a tad carful to make sure he isn't interrupting anything. There may even be whips of smoke curling up from the tips of Warren's blonde locks. "Hi."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde turns from Lockheed, her eyes going wide at the sight of Warren. "You look like you kicked Electro's dog," she says as she hurries over the few steps between herself and the door. She helps Warren inside, an arm going about his waist and closes the door behind him.

"Come over here and sit down," she says, leading him over to the bed. Lockheed hops and goes to the foot of it to make room. "Nori?" Kitty asks, that not being too hard to deduce. "What happened, exactly?" she asks.

Assuming she gets Warren seated, Kitty cups his cheek in both hands, checking his eyes. "Poor baby," she says in a gentle, loving tone. "Just relax, let me get you some water." And a wash cloth. And a comb.

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Nori." Warren confirms with a nod. "Pretty sure it wasn't on purpose. I went to pick her up to take her to medical, and the next thing I know I was waking up in medical feeling like I got zapped with a bolt of lightning or something...and since 'Ro wasn't there I have to take the next logical step."

Warren takes a seat and chuckles, using his fingers to try and comb the blonde locks back into some semblance of order, giving up after a second or two. "No real harm done, save maybe for my pride."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde goes to the bathroom, coming back with a clean drinking glass full of water. Also she has a wash cloth and a hand towel. And her brush and a can of mousse. She moves to take a seat beside Warren, reaching up to tenderly touch his face again. "I know you're a tough one, but still, glad you were ok. She can kick out some real bolts," Kitty tells him quietly, notes of concern detectable in her tone.

She gently checks his hands and the rest of him for any burn marks, and then gently sponge-bathes his face. The water cool but not too cold. Soothing. More for making him feel better than to clear any dirt away.

"Well, Magneto didn't attack so it was actually kind of a mild day overall around the school," she teases as she tenderly wipes the soft terrycloth wash cloth over his face. "I was hoping we could spend some time together while you were here. But I think maybe we should just relax here and you can rest. Make sure there's no lasting effects. Which you could also interpret as my coercing you to stay longer than you planned."

Warren Worthington has posed:
Reaching over to take the water, Warren sips from it slowly. "It's going to take a little more than a bolt of electricity to put me down, Kat. I may look all skinny and frail, but I'm tougher than I look." Yeah, frail, sure.

Setting the glass back down Warren lets Kitty check his hands for burns. There do seem to be a few scorch marks on the tips of his fingers, probably from where the electric jolt entered into his body, closing his eyes as the cool water his his face as she rinses it off. "Hey, the school is still standing. Any day that happens is a good day," Warren half-jokes, then gasps as he brings his hand up to his throat like clutching at a pearl necklace. "So...this was your master plan was it. Lure me here, make up some elaborate scheme to have Nori zap me just so you can kidnap me to play nursemaid. I see how it is!"

"You could have just asked."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty extends her pinky and holds it near to her lips, Dr. Evil fashion. "You have uncovered my master plan!" she tells him in her best Dr. Evil voice that she can manage. She sees his fingers and tsks softly. "Do they hurt, I could put some ointment on them," she offers, and then very very gently cleans them after making sure doing so won't make anything worse.

Kitty glances over Warren's handsome, muscular physique. "Yes. Extremely frail. I hadn't realize it until now. Definitely need to keep you for observation. Over night. Maybe through the weekend," she tells him, eyes shining with her smile at the end.

She looks up at Warren and his hair for a moment before she can't help but give a little chuckle. She sits up a little higher so she can bring her lips to his for a gentle kiss. "I did ask. You might not remember," she tells him. "Well, ok, not out loud. But I gave you a look when I said I was going," she says. "So you'd know to come up."

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren glances down at his fingers and shakes his head, "No, they don't hurt. I'm sure they will be fine by the morning. I heal pretty quick...probably won't even be able to tell by the morning."

Warren smiles and returns the kiss, "I may have been a bit preoccupied at the time, with Emma being....Emma, and Nori playing the part of the fetal electric time bomb. Sorry."

He takes a look around the room, "Cozy. Reminds me of my room when I lived here...which is probably because all these rooms are mostly alike except for the little personal touches. The only thing missing are the posters of the 90's heartthrobs I half expected you to have in here...or the Star Wars and Tron posters."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde looks around her room and grins. "Getting to have one with a fireplace is harder now than it used to be. So many more people than when it was just the dozen or so of us," she comments.

Kitty takes her brush, puts a little mousse on it and then brushes it through Warren's hair. Getting it back into place and taming those stray hairs that want to stand up on their own still after being hit with the electricity.

Once she's done, she sets it aside. "I can think of one heartthrob I might like a picture of though," she comments. She smiles at Warren and then leans over to grab her phone from the nightstand. Unless he stops her, she snaps a photo of him. And after that, turns so she can lean back against him and take a picture of the both of them together.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren smiles for both the portrait of him as well as the selfie, pulling Kitty in tight for the latter and giving her a squeeze. "What, you going to blow that up into a poster and hang it on your wall. What will people think," he jokes. "You know, if you really want some pictures, I am sure I can get someone to do a photoshoot. Hair, makeup, lighting, the works. A real professional sitting. Maybe not as spontaneous as a selfie like that. I don't know, just a thought."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
The young woman gets an extra warm smile as the arms go around her and draw her in against Warren's body. "Are you thinking like, 80s glamour shots? Or maybe lingerie? You in a banana hammock?" she asks teasingly. "If you'd like to, I'd be game. I just wanted something I could pull up on my phone from time to time, mostly," she tells him.

Kitty turns to face him then, but staying close to Warren. "I'm glad you were able to make it over here," she says. "Was thinking maybe we could plan on dinner some night, whether the weekend or a week night?" she suggests.

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Oh, totally one of those 80's glamour shot things. You know, with the front view and then a larger side view in the corner that tends to be the person's cat...but instead we use Lockheed. What do you say, Lockheed? Want to go take really bad flashback photos?" Warren jokes, trying to keep his voice as deadpan as he can to make it believable. "And then I will totally rock a banana hammock. Maybe even get one of those ones from that novelty shop, you know like an elephant with a trunk of something like that. Totally classy."

He looks up at Kitty, gives her a wink, and continues on like he didn't just say all that nonsense. "Well, I told you I would bring over a karaoke machine. If anything I am a man of my word. Dinner sounds lovely, I will make time you just tell me when and where you want me and I'll be there."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Lockheed stirs as he's mentioned. He had been giving the pair space, but now he walks across the bed and moves to curl up between Kitty and Warren, his head resting on Kitty's leg as he closes his eyes.

Kitty laughs at Warren's reply to her. "See, I knew there was a reason I liked you. Besides getting Firefly, I mean," she tells Warren. She reaches down to give Lockheed a little scritch. "Lockheed seemed ok with the news about New Year's too. Didn't say anything. Just relaxed so I knew he was ok with it. Plus, you know, if you hurt me he'll probably burn your face off," Kitty says, keeping her voice very matter of fact as well.

Lockheed lifts his head at this point, looking at Warren and then lays his head back down. Prompting a chuckle from Kitty, her hand reaching up to brush through the golden hair that she's helped restore to it's normal appearance on Warren's head.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren Worthington says, "Is it because I am cute and hilarious? Because I totally am." Warren replies with a grin, reaching up to combs his fingers through his newly moussed locks.

He glances at the dragon and then to Kitty, "You told him huh? That must have been an interesting conversation, if a bit one sided...but I guess I have to agree he is ok since he hasn't tried to fry me yet. I'll just have to bribe him with steak to keep him on my good side."

He takes the liberty of slipping off his shoes and then laying out on the bed, making himself comfortable. "It really was much simpler back then, wasn't it. Just the dozen of us or so, but thinking about it today Emma had a point. What the hell were we doing back then? High school kids in situations like that. Now, we have more sense than that to put them in those situations...but you were what...thirteen when we were off fighting Magneto? I admire Charles, but right now I am wondering what the fu..what he was thinking.""

Kitty Pryde has posed:
As Warren gets himself comfortable, Kitty grabs the pillows, fluffing them a bit and getting them behind the electrocution victim so he can relax with his head supported by them. Then she moves to lay against him at his side, her own shoes already removed.

"Those were good days," she says. "And you know, maybe we were a little young for some of what came. But it was coming for us on its own. And we wouldn't have been prepared," Kitty says to him. She gently rests her head on his shoulder, a hand moving to rest on Warren's chest.

"Take me. The same day you guys came recruiting, someone else came for me and ended up capturing half the team. I still don't know why they were, or what they wanted with us. But... well, you heard what Emma's 'friends' wanted to do to Nori and I. Either turn us into slaves serving them, or kill us figuring out how to reproduce our powers. So... I'd much rather the Professor came to find me."

She looks up at Warren into his eyes. "And that's even apart from how happy I am that I ended up meeting his gorgeous blond hunk out of all of it too," she says with a grin.

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Yeah. I know. That's why I am conflicted. If we didn't have those skills who knows what would have happened, but now we don't teach the kids that. We save that sort of stuff for the X-Men teams...which I also agree with. Kids shouldn't have to learn combat skills."

He sighs, slipping his arm under Kitty's shoulders as she lays down, pulling her in close to his side, "As much as I hate it, I may actually have to agree with Emma on this one. The kids need to learn, because we both know that this school ends up a target. Defense is great, but I am sure Logan would agree that the best defense is a good offense. Am I going to go have to talk to Red about this? I don't want to have to go talk to Red about this....maybe I'll talk to Scott."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
"Or..." Kitty says, "You could just lay here for a bit. Like someone who just got zapped by one point twenty-one gigawatts of electricity, but thankfully not while you were in a Delorean going 88 miles an hour."

She reaches down to find Warren's hand and lace her fingers with his. "By which I mean I'll give you a light bulb to hold and you can be the room's lamp for the rest of the night," she teases.

Kitty gives a soft sigh. "Well, I think a number of the students do learn how to fight still. I'm not sure they weren't messing around Emma. Nori fought Vulture and the Green Goblin with us. She wasn't exactly entirely lacking of skills," Kitty tells Warren.

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Oh." he says a bit sheepishly. "So I went off on Emma for nothing. Great, I'm the asshole." He sighs, leaning his head back onto the pillow to stare up at the ceiling for a bit before giving Kitty a smirk.

"What? Am I Uncle Fester now?" Warren scoffs at Kitty, clearly offended but not really. "How low I have been reduced."

He smiles, bringing her hand up to give it a kiss. "You want me to stay, I'll stay just as long as it isn't going to cause you any trouble. Where it the lightbulb?"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty makes a little sound in her throat, not a happy one. "I wouldn't say for nothing. That woman isn't to be trusted. Watch yourself around her, watch your thoughts. I'm just waiting for this act of hers to drop," Kitty says.

But she's not going to let time with Warren be co-opted by her feelings about the woman who was going to turn Kitty and Nori into brainwashed slaves. "Oh you have much better hair than Uncle Fester," Kitty says with a teasing smile. She reaches up to play in those golden locks a bit more.

Kitty gives a contented sigh. "Stay the night with me? I don't need us to be a secret. I just figured, it'll give us more time to just let things happen. But... anyone who looked at me very close when I saw you there in the room, would know how I feel about you."
