Warren Worthington has posed:
The last couple of weeks have been crazy. Dealing with the holiday's, to an unexpected New Year's Eve/Day, to Kitty's supposedly dead father just arriving out of the blue into the mansions rec room...Warren can take a lot, but sometimes he needs break. When Kitty was distracted by the arrival of her father (and who wouldn't be really), Warren took that as an opportunity let her spend some quality time with him, and to make his own way into one of the guest rooms for a bit of down time.

Currently, the Angel finds himself passed out mostly dressed with the exception of his shirt which has been tossed unceremoniously onto the floor, draped on the bed over the covers laying on his stomach so his wings are unbound.

A gentle snore emits from the sleeping mutant.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
The emotions in Kitty had flowed over several times during the day. Strange how the return of someone thought dead not only brings relief and elation, but also seems to dredge up all of the pain that you've already gone through during handling their loss.

Kitty quietly closes the door where her father is sleeping. She's gotten him a few articles of Xavier's School clothing as he literally arrived with the clothes on his back. And after a nice hot shower, he's getting some much needed sleep.

Kitty pulls out her phone and checks the time, realizing how late it is. "Warren," she murmurs to herself. She hesitates whether to call, then instead pulls up a connection to the school's systems. He's still on the school grounds. A quick commands locates his phone in the guest area as well, and it only takes a moment for her to find out which room he check out a key to.

Kitty pockets her phone and walks over to the door. "Warren?" she asks very quietly. Tapping on the door with a fingernail to keep the sound at a level it would be noticed by anyone awake, but missed by anyone asleep. She leans and puts her ear to the door, and hears that soft snore that she's heard before. It makes her smile and she slowly leans her head through the door. Seeing he's alone, she phases the rest of the way through and walks over to the bed. Her shoes are slipped off and she moves to sit on the bed, trying not to jostle the sleeping Angel. Once seated beside him, she gently brushes her fingers through his hair. Even if he's sleeping, just being there with him is a boon for Kitty.

Warren Worthington has posed:
The gentle rapping on the door doesn't stir the sleeping man, nor does the calling of his name. Successfully, Kitty finds her spot on the bed. It isn't until her fingers start to comb through his hair that Warren's breathing pattern changes, his head stirring somewhat sleepily as he lifts it and turns to face her, "Hmm? Kat?" A soft smile comes to his face as he lowers his head back down, letting his eyes close again as he enjoys the feeling of her fingers in his blonde tresses, "I'll give you till forever to stop that..."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty's small smile grows a bit as he wakes and murmurs her name. "Yes, it's me," she whispers to him quietly. Her finger moves to gently through the golden locks, just barely brushing his scalp. The ultimatum he gives next makes that smile bloom fully across Kitty's face.

"Sorry I wasn't able to spend much of the day with you," she tells him. "Something sort of unexpected came up," she says in great understatement. "I think I'm finally just now having some time to process it all," she says.

Kitty leans down to brush a kiss to the top of Warren's forehead. "Should let you sleep though," she says. "I'll stay if that's ok."

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren Worthington says, "No shit," exclaims Warren with a grin on his face. "I think I'll let it slide this time, Pryde. But next time..." he peeks an eye open to find hers, humor in his voice. He shuts the eye again and nuzzles into her hand much like a dog asking for more.

"How is he doing? He seems no worse for wear, though I am sure Hank is going to want to poke and prod him just to make sure.""

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty's fingers caress tenderly against Warren's cheek as he leans into her touch. It makes her smile, and she leans her head down again to press more soft kisses across his forehead, and then over his cheeks. Light brushes of her lips. Kitty finds the remains of those turbulent emotions inside being calmed by the other mutant's presence.

Kitty slowly nods her head. "He's ok. A bit fatigued I guess from the unshrinking experience," she says. Took him down to medical and he was fine. A little dehydrated. Some residual radiation I expect was from being enlarged again. Nothing harmful to him or anyone else though. He's sleeping over in Guest Room 2," she tells Warren.

The young woman's fingers continue their gentle caress, moving over the handsome features of Warren's face. "Thank you for staying," she tells him. "You didn't have to. But it meant a lot to me that you did."

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren smiles in his 'sleep', "What? Did you think I would take off and neglect my promise of the first song? I would never...though I'm sure by now someone else has broken the karaoke machine in."

The mutant stirs, moving more to his side, lifting his head to return a few of those kisses, "Besides, it's not like I have to be at the office, that is what I have people for. If something needs my attention, they will let me know."

Warren reaches up a hand and runs the back of his fingers over her cheek, "I'm glad to hear he seems to be doing well. You must be in a state of shock, Kat. How are you processing?"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
The kisses given back to her bring soft sighs from Kitty. "It can still be our first song together," she tells Warren warmly. She gazes down at him as she softly brushes her fingertips along his jaw. "And here you thought you'd not have to worry about a father with a shotgun," she teases.

"It's been a pretty emotional day, yes. I'd made peace, or, well, however much you can expect, at one point. Then we found out about the shrunken parts of Genosha and I had hope again. And then it was like going through losing him all over again when he wasn't in any of the shrunken places. I... I should have thought there could be others out there. What if he'd never been rescued?" she says. Kitty draws a slow breath, as if knowing she can't beat herself up over that. But it's hard not to.

Kitty already has her shoes off. She phases her jeans away and then shifts to lie down beside Warren, pressing in close against his warmth, her head moving to rest on his shoulder. "I'm really glad you're here," she tells him, eyes lifting to look into his.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren slips his arms around Kitty, pulling her in close to his warmth and letting her meld into his form. "You can't beat yourself up over it, Kat. You did everything in your power. Nobody can ask anymore than that. For all of our gifts, we are still only human."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
The arms going around her are sovereign against the worries of the world for Kitty. She snuggles into their embrace and closes her eyes as she soaks in that the extra warmth that Warren's body produces. "Well, he made it back, that's the important thing," she says with a happy sigh.

She lays there for a little bit, eyes closed, before saying softly, "I'll have to help see him get settled somewhere again. He was a witness against the Yakuza when they used our family's bank for money laundering. And has had to be in hiding since. Why he moved to Genosha. That, and just to be around his daughter's people," she says. "That kind of weighed on me too. That he'd been on Genosha in part because of me," she says.

"But he's back now," she repeats with a happy sigh. "This has been the best start of a year, ever," she tells Warren, and her arms tightening around him a bit seem to indicate that she's not just talking about because of her father's return.

Warren Worthington has posed:
"I'll help in any way I can," offers Warren. "It's the least I can do, really. But do you think that the Yakuza are still going to be after him now? If it is a concern I am sure we can find a spot for him somewhere."

He shrugs a shoulder, one of his wings folding in and becoming a makeshift blanket. "But all that can wait, what is important is that he his back. Yes."

The winged mutant closes his eyes, letting out a small and contented little sigh, "Yeah, it's been a crazy couple of weeks that is for sure, but in a good way. I couldn't have asked for a better start to the year."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
"I don't know if they are actively hunting him anymore," Kitty says quietly. "But if they stumbled upon him, they would definitely seek vengeance. So better to be safe than sorry." Her hand slides up Warren's chest, moving to curl her fingers over the top of his shoulder.

Her fingertips find the soft feathers of a wing beneath and she gently caresses, moving so that she's brushing over the edge of the wing where he will feel it. "If I haven't said it today, your wings are the most amazing thing," Kitty murmurs with a smile, eyes still closed.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren smiles at the touch to his wings, "Yeah, your dad mentioned he thought they were pretty cool to. Must run in the family," he jokes.

"How long ago was this deal with the Yakuza? I would think they would have bigger fish to fry these days than an old banker. Have you talked to Charles or Jean about....helping them forget?"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty's fingers trace slowly along the wing's edge, before finally slipping down into the snow-white feathers themselves. Slipping her fingers between them, feeling their downy softness while they talk.

"It was 2015. They have long memories over there. They might not be actively searching, but not worth taking the risk they somehow take notice of him," she tells Warren quietly. "I don't know if he needs to go back overseas, that was his choice. But... well, we can work something out. I think it might be a big task, getting everyone there who knows about it," Kitty says of the help from the telepaths.

She pausees. "That whole incident... ah... I haven't really told you guys a lot about it," Kitty says quietly. There's something in her tone. Some amount of worry related to the topic.

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Well, no need to tell me if you don't want to, Kat," the winged mutant says with a smile, "Especially not now, the details are irrelevant at the moment. I'll take your word about it all, that is good enough for me."

Warren shifts, settling into the bed a bit more and getting comfortable, "You should take a few days with your Dad, Kat. Catch up with him. I don't think anyone would begrudge you the time off from this place. When he is ready to hit the city, I'll set him up. He can use one of my guest rooms till he can find his own place, or whatever solution we come up with...though if he is staying with me..."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty leans her head over to brush a tiny kiss to Warren's lips. "It's something, if I'm going to tell it we should probably be in front of a fire. With something to drink. I'll need the drinks anyway," she tells him.

The young woman slowly nods about taking a few days. "Thank you. I'll help him get something if he's going to stay in the area for good," Kitty says. She hesitates, about to say she doesn't want it to seem like they are taking advantage of Warren's resources. But she doesn't say it. She knows him well enough to know she doesn't have to. "Thank you," she says again instead, her eyes filled with gratitude.

Kitty rests her head back to his shoulder. "These beds aren't half bad for a guest room," she says, wiggling just a bit to feel how much support they give.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren reaches up and ruffles the hair on Kitty's head. "Of course. What kind of friend would I be if I didn't help?"

The bed comment gets a chuckle, "No, actually they are quite comfortable. I came in here and promptly passed out. I think I needed the rest, I don't seem to be getting as much sleep as I used to."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde is the one to lean her head into the other's touch now, and giving a soft, happy sigh to feel Warren's caress. "Not getting enough sleep?" Kitty repeats. "Well," she whispers, her voice turning just a touch suggestive, "I don't know that I"m likely to be a good influence on you there," she teases. Her fingers move over to Warren's neck, curling where it meets his shoulder.

"Though just sleeping here quietly tonight sounds like a wonderful idea," she adds. "I'm glad you're here," she tells him, nuzzling her cheek against his shoulder tenderly. "Also glad that Noriko didn't electrocute you to death. Would have had to assign her to detention for that," Kitty says, the sleepiness allowing for a straight-laced delivery of the joke without trying.

Warren Worthington has posed:
The jokes make Warren laugh softly as she starts to succumb to the bed's devious pull of rest and relaxation as he is curled up with his arms around a beautiful woman. "Yes, well, I'm glad for that as well. I may like fried chicken, but I don't want to be one."

He lowers his head to kiss Kitty's forehead softly. "Sounds like you need some rest as well. I think we earned a nap."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
The environment certainly is conducive for drawing Kitty into sleep. The warm body to press against, the arms folding about her as if to promise she's safe with him. That the cares of the world can be left behind for a few hours at least.

"Mmmm," she murmurs. "Let's sleep. We can get fried chicken in the morning," she tells him, lips curling in a soft smile. "But from the Colonel." Kitty leans up to brush a small kiss to Warren's jaw, then tucks her head in just below his chin. She lets out a happy sigh, her breathing becoming slow and steady.
