Date of Scene: 15 January 2021
Location: Pym's Mobile Lab
Synopsis: More science is decided for the future!
Cast of Characters: Shannon Davis, Hank Pym

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis practically kicked the doors open with how eagerly she bust into the laboratory. "DR PYM!" She exclaims as she rushes inside, right to the center, flailing her arms lightly. "I've got it! I figured out my powers, kind of. Prepare to have all the PhD's blown out of your mind!" She points at him, in her hand is one of her lead discs, it's strapped to her hand by duct tape, very heavily strapped. "I have FOUR amazing ideas!"

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym looks up from a microscope and jots a note before commenting. "With all due respect, it takes a lot to amaze me. I found out I was the father of a sixteen year old girl three months ago aaaaand that wasn't even the weirdest thing that happened that day to me. But you go right ahead and show me... wait one second!." He gingerly puts the microscope in a metal cabinet. Then he dons a helmet. "<Proceed, Shannon.>

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis did a PFHHFHFF noise. "That's totally mundane and normal, people find out they have kids they don't know about all the time. You could totally see this on a movie or whatever." She takes a stance, preparing for a palm strike. "THIS THOUGH-" She exclaims eagerly as a swshing sound occurs briefly, noting the brief moment of build up before the THUNK comes. However, before launching her attack she thrusts her arm out, doing the hardest palm strike possible. In the midst of it, the momentum is unleashed and drastically enhances the striking power.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym feels a powerful breeze blow at him. "<You can affect air... interesting. You have some very strong duct tape there. What else you got?>" Hank relaxes a little. No damage yet. Nadia caused more damage baking. And he got cookies. This is entertaining at least and taking his mind off... things. He does move behind Shannon as an afterthought.

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis grins to Hank. "Now BEHOLD!" She says, running straight at wall, whichever one had actual surface area. She jumps and accelerates the metal disk in her hand, tied to her palm. It moves forwards and slams into the wall extremely hard. She then keeps the momentum pouring in, which keeps it accelerated at the wall, which creates friction that keeps her from falling off. "AHa. Almost as good as spider-man, huh? Now imagine if I did this and the palm strike to someone's face!"

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym watches Shannon climbing sort of with interest. "Climbing is good. Face strikes is Murder One. Also don't try it on glass. I'm interested. Go on."

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis smirked at him, she liked the murder part. She drops off and takes a while to cut a bunch of the tape off, leaving just the lead disk. "So, remember how I can charge it up in my hand? Would it be possible to build like a gauntlet that goes up to my forearm and braces it in. With magnets at the palms, but a space right in the center where I could touch whatever I was holding?" She was hoping he would follow what she meant.

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym watches her for a while. "Yes. But I'm not turning you into a piece of field artillery till you learn more control, and not just of your powers. You know... there's a whole school for Mutants where they learn this sort of stuff. There are applications beyond smashing someone's face in. You sound like Giganta. She's incarcerated till she works off her sentence. You need to learn some self defense for one thing so you have nonlethal options. I didn't just smash people's heads in as Giant-Man. I'd be little better than the Punisher."

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis sighs with exhasperation, waving her hands around dismissively. "Urgh, it's fine. THere's no point in going around doing this kinda thing to normal weak people. You gotta use the strong stuff for the strong villains. Plus it's not like I can just show up to their door and be like. 'Yo, I'm gonna study here now okay.'" SHe then adds with a deep sigh. "I have plenty self control, I just helped like, save a bunch of stuff the other day, it was fine. The non-lethal option is just not blowing a hole in them and knocking them out instead, see? Just like superman!"

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym goes over to a locker and removes a gi. He holds the uniform out to Shannon. "Report here after school for jujitsu training. Starting tomorrow. I will pay for your carfare. I have all the equipment we need here. If we're lucky, the captain or the Black Panther may tutor you as well, or Nadia. I will bring it up to her. Oh and you would just show up at their door. I'd give you a letter of recommendation and Dr. McCoy met you silly. They do take deserving cases. Whatever you do decide... you impress me. You remind me of someone I worked with. I will be glad to be here for you for anything you need." He holds his hand out to Shannon.

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis squees eagerly, taking his hand with both of hers. She lets out a bunch of disgruntled words that she can't quite form correctly. "It's just been such a long lifetime dream to be part of the whole hero world, it's so exciting." She says breathing rapidly. "I'll take tutoring from anyone really, as many people as I can get. I'll absorb every bit of hero knowledge there is to take in the world." She stops after a moment and leans back a bit thoughtfully getting a bit more serious. "So Dr. Pym.... Hm. If I threw something you shrunk with your particles, and then using a remote, made it grow again what would happen? Would it slow down or keep going at the same speed?"

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym dead eyes her. "Same speed at all sizes. That's why falling at a small size can still be dangerous. Again, you're not getting any of that stuff till you're ready. Now using Pym particles to warp space itself is something I just started to investigate wit Nadia. It's fascinating. You can create a sustainable Alcubierre warp with little energy required. But I digress. We can definitely examine your power for effects on particles and defensive adaptations. You're not bulletproof."

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis goes silent for a long while, staring at her own hands with a frown, she's thinking very hard, but is also very serious. "Hey Dr. Pym." She says then lets it trail off for a while more, breathing in a bit. "I think I found out something really dangerous then." She lifts her eyes towards him, taking the lead weight. "If we shrink this down to the size of a coin. I'll be able to charge it up extremely fast, then shoot it at a really, really, really high speed because the amount of momentum needed would be much smaller." She stops, letting the realization hang in the air. "Then if you make it grow, it'll be going at a super huge speed. But the speed stays the same. What if you made it the size of a car right before impact...?"

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym taps his chin. "Well that would be a very dangerous thing to do except. My abilities work by touch. Nadia has made a device to shrink and enlarge things at a distance. You really ought to meet her. She could use a friend. She works too hard. But... no one wants to be set up with a friend by their dad. right? I didn't like it. Especially when I found out he paid them. Anyway, possible problems are the tiny missile will lose speed quickly due to air resistance. You'd need to propel it and enlarge it within a couple yards. Again, you need to talk to Nadia. She could throw something together and you both like loud sounds."

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis smiles wide at the man, shaking her head. "I'm sure having an interesting subject to talk about will be more than enough. We will get along just fine. And that's what I thought, it'll lose speed so you need to enlarge it right before the impact, and make it a sphere, a really dense sphere." She rubs her hands together. "Dr. Pym. My goal here isn't to be just some other vigilante beating up thugs." She stares him deep in the eyes, hers are sparkling with determination and hope. "I want to be on the news. I want people to recognize me on the street, I want a statue of me somewhere. The kind of hero that brings down giant rock colossi." She says, referencing her recent encounter with WW.

"What's the point if I'm going to cower as soon as some alien lands and decides they want to conquer us? I want to be the one to shoot them back into space, y'know. That is a feeling I will never stop chasing." She takes a long pause before asking the big question. "Assuming we were able to activate this at a distance. Just *how* large can an object be made?"

Hank Pym has posed:
Hank Pym takes Shannon gently by the arm and says, "I'll do some math and get back to you. I have a couple things to work out before we can develop this further. I'd appreciate you making an effort and in fairness.. she likes nearly everyone... Mr. Lang not so much. But what can you do? I like Mr. Lang and so help me, if you breathe a word of it you're out of here and five inches shorter so you'll be proofed into your thirties!" He walks her to the door. "Bring a towel tomorrow. After school."

Shannon Davis has posed:
Shannon Davis couldn't help but choke some laughter down. "Hey, always knew that, you can't fool me, Dr Pym!" Is the last thing she says as she walks outside. She shoots him an excited glance before walking, there's loads of almost uncontrollable eagerness, and hint of malice. Not the kind of malice of someone about to do a villanouous act, a more innocent one, the kind you'd see in someone with enormous aspirations who firmly thinks they might now truly be possible.
