Synopsis: Conner visits the Daily Planet and meets an intern
Cast of Characters: Conner Kent, Cindy Moon

Conner Kent has posed:
To say the truth Conner doesn't go to Metropolis anymore. He lives in New York and the gang of super-kids he hangs out with since he escaped the clone pod years ago is now lurking in Gotham.

But recent discoveries about his genetic heritage have him looking at the City of Tomorrow again. And the Daily Planet.

Which brings him here. On the excuse he is considering a major in journalism in college. He is technically doing homework. But mostly he is curious about seeing the place. Because Lois Lane.

Cindy Moon has posed:
Cindy's been having to split her time. Which sucks. But while she may be trying to work on spider-ing with Spider-Man in NYC, her paying /job/ is here in Metropolis. It means a lot of weekend commutes. She SO needs a new job.

It'd be nice if the intern gig paid a little more in the interim. But, can't be helped. The girl is just glad she's hit the end of the day. She's been in since early, and up late doing some local heroing. But the long hours are wearing on her. Which means she's not watching as close as she should. She /almost/ collides with Connor as he's coming in, except her Silk Sense trips at the very last moment to avoid the collision. She looks up, and comes to a stop, abruptly. "Oh, sorry!"

Conner Kent has posed:
Surprisingly being a college student opens some doors. Like the P.R. people of the Planet wants to be in the good graces of the ESU. And vice-versa. Conner is allowed to go into the... well, to be in a place on the way of Cindy. Were not employee are not supposed to be. In his defense he has this 'visitor' badge thing around the neck.

Also, he was pretty aware of Cindy coming, so he actually moves out of the way just as the girl 'trips'. "No worries," he replies with a grin. "Are you also a visitor? They kind of..." vague hand wave. "I mean, supposed to have a guide, but he ran away because he was called. Place seems really busy."

Cindy Moon has posed:
Cindy manages to not actually trip. Pretty agile or something. But she blushes a little, tucking a bit of stray hair behind her ear. "No, no...I actually work here!" She lifts her own ID badge a little, with her name, and proudly proclaiming her an "Intern". She gives Connor a visual once-over, and looks surprised. "Wow, someone ditched you? That sucks. Where'r you headed? I'll see if I can't get you there."

Conner Kent has posed:
Conner blinks, "really? Cool," beat, "I mean, cool you work here, not that I was ditched. That was more into the sucking side of it, yeah." He now gives Cindy the same once-over. On first impression, he had she was his age, but since she is a real (or almost) Daily Planet reporter she is probably a few years older.

"I was headed, uh... not sure," he admits. "On paper, I need to know how a modern newspaper manages to work in the Internet age. My college advisor words. Everyone seems busy, though. I don't want to be a pest."

Cindy Moon has posed:
Cindy grins. "You're not a pest. Look, tell you what. I don't really have anything that I've /got/ to do right now. Promise a girl some coffee and a bagel, and I'll walk you around whatever you need to see?" she offers.

Conner Kent has posed:
"You do that and I buy you lunch," counter-offers the young man with a lopsided smile. "I am Conner, by the way," it says so in tiny letters in his badge. "Conner Kent, and I don't even know where to start. Do the reporters have offices or do they work from home? Who are all those guys coming and going? Hey, what is your job as an intern?"

Cindy Moon has posed:
Cindy grins in reply. "I am not going to turn down lunch, that's for sure." His later statement gets a momentary pause from Cindy. "Kent? Any relation to Clark? And no...some of the senior reporters get offices of their own. A lot of the others get desks or cubicles up in the Press Room. And some do telecommute, yeah. My job is mostly to be the fetch-it girl. Run paperwork from here to there. Get coffee. Answer phones occasionally. All that oh-so-interesting stuff."

Conner Kent has posed:
Conner shakes his head at the question about 'Clark'. He knows who Clark Kent is, that is obvious, but he seems uninterested. "Desk cubicles. So they do work from here after all." He peers at the room, to see if he recognizes any famous reporter. But of course he doesn't. Their faces are not well-known after all.

Besides, he was looking for a particular lady, and he can't see her.

"Could I see the work areas for a second?" He asks. "Also, er... do you do any real journalist job here? Because they are supposed to train you, I guess. How did you get the position? From college?"

Cindy Moon has posed:
Cindy looks a little embarassed at the latter question. "They are supposed to. And so far that's gotten as far as proofing some copy. You know, learning what we're supposed to write? As for getting it, I had some people who recommended me. I kinda...never actually went to college." She sounds a bit flustered.
