Cast of Characters: Kitty Pryde, Warren Worthington

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty heads back to the penthouse from work early. She was starting to feel a bit run down the night before, but it really hit her after she got into the office. She was debating heading home when one of her coworkers saw her face and had said, "Kitty you don't look so good."

"Yeah, don't feel so good either," Kitty says. "I should probably get out of here before I give whatever this is to someone else." The other woman nodded her agreement. "Take the rest of the day off," she agreed.

So Kitty took the subway home, arriving to the beautiful penthouse, albeit empty at this hour of anyone but Lockheed. He flew over to meet her and got a hug. "Not feeling so good, boy," she tells him.

A few hours later finds Kitty curled up on the couch under a blanket in her pajamas. A big glass of orange juice on the coffee table nearby. Also a box of tissues and a packet of cough drops and one of throat lozenges. She's dozing, the TV turned on but the volume down low.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren had head into the actual offices of Worthington Industries today instead of working from home as he sometimes does. There was a big executive meeting where he felt his presence would be better than just being a voice on the phone, or a picture on the screen. There is just sometimes that the personal touch is required.

It's a few hours past Kitty getting home and making the couch her own makeshift infirmary when Warren steps through the sliding door that leads out onto the terrace, it's opening letting a blast of cold air into the warm apartment briefly. The winged mutant doesn't notice Kitty at first, the autopilot of just coming home and being set in his daily routine of heading to set his coat and briefcase down. It isn't until he starts to make his way to the bar for a cocktail that he notices the TV on, and the form on the couch illuminated by its soft glow along with the telltale signs of someone who might not be feeling the best.

"Kat," he calls out softly as to not disturb her if she is sleeping, "You awake?"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty stirs, not from the cold air but the sound of Warren's voice. Her eyes flutter slowly open and she sits there for a moment as if having to orient herself on where she is.

Her eyes fall on the handsome figure of Warren in his suit, cut to fit his muscular body perfectly, and making allowances for his wings. "I'b not feeling too good," Kitty says, her voice having that distinct accent that people end up with when they have a stuffed up nose.

She reaches over and gets the orange juice, sipping it through a straw. "I came hobe early from work. Didn't want to get anyone else sick," she says with a sigh. The young woman, always smaller and more petite than Warren, looks even smaller and more fragile, a little bit of red on her upper cheeks and nose.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren frowns with a hint of a chuckle and amusement in his voice, "Aw, honey...". Stepping the few steps over to the couch, Warren leans down and without any regard for his own health gently places his lips to her forehead. "Would you like me to get you some chicken soup or something like that? I can call down and have it delivered. In the meantime, let me see what I can do about that nose of yours."

Warren heads back to the kitchen, grabbing a bottle of Jameson from the bar on his way. In the kitchen he heats up some hot water, adds some honey and instant lemonade and then finalizes the concoction with a healthy shot of whiskey before he brings the heated mug back over, offering to the young woman. "Try some of this, it might help open up those passages."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty starts to gesture as if Warrens should stay, lest she pass on the Pox to him. Though his lips are to her forehead before she quite gets her hands back out from under the blanket, and instead she just settles back into the pillow her head is on and sighs at the kiss. Her forehead feels a little warm even his lips, though not a raging fever.

At the offer of chicken soup, Kitty gets the most cute little helpless sick face and nods her head. "Mmm hmmm," she replies to him. "Dank you," she tells him through the stuffed up nose.

When he returns with the mug, Kitty takes it and sips it. "Oh. I won't nodice how bad I feel anyway," she tells him. Her eyes look him over. "How are you today?"

Warren Worthington has posed:
Moving to feel her forehead with the back of his hand the Angel frowns again, but only slightly.

"It was alright. Meeting went well, but I think it helped that I was there in person. They had to look me in the eye face to face instead of hiding behind a phone or a video monitor."

He pulls out his phone and hits a number on the speed dial waiting a moment before speaking, "Yeah, It's Warren. I need a bowl of chicken soup brought up asap. I've got a sick girlfriend on my hands and she needs some comfort food."

He cups the receiver part of the phone and glances down at the ill Kitty, "Anything else you want while I am at it, babe?"

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty tilts her head slightly as Warren reaches down for her forehead. Little bit of a fever from the feel of it. "Face dime is always important," says the girl with the stuffy nose, probably not really meaning face dimes, but facetime.

"I like chicken soup," she murmurs to him after he's finished ordering it. "I do not lide being sick though," she mumbles.

Kitty reaches out a hand to Warren, just resting it on his side. "Just my boydfriend," she says. "He's pretty amazing. If I hadn't mentioned that before."

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Just the soup," Warren says with a chuckle into the phone and then closes the call.

"He is, huh? I'll have to meet him sometime," he grins and takes a seat on the arm of the couch. "I'll just have to steal you away from him. I think your worth the trouble."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty keeps her hand on Warren, ending up with it on his leg. "I don't know. The two of you together might clash. Though, if you didn't... wow, that's a whole different fantasy right there," Kitty says, her stuffed up nose not hindering her words too greatly at least.

She takes another sip from the mug. "Though if you get me drunk with this home remedy, you'd have me down for it," she says, doing her best to give him a grin while not feeling well.

Kitty rests her head back down to the pillow then. "I'm sorry I got sick. I had a surprise for you tonight too. It'll have to wait until I'm feeling better."

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren laughs. "Oh really, Ms. Pryde? Me AND your boyfriend? How scandalous...let me get you another home remedy"

Warren grins, "Don't apologize, love, you didn't choose to get sick. I'm sure that whatever your surprise was can wait, and I will enjoy it just as much."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty sighs softly, brushing her fingers over Warren's leg where he sits above her on the couch's arm. "This is where I need to be Rogue. Just touch Logan for a second and led his healing cure the code," she says in her sickly voice.

The thick blanket is drawn a little closer around her. "Would you hade me if I asked you to make a fire?" she asks. Lockheed is laying on her lap atop the blanket, and lifts his head. "Yes, you can start it up for him<" she tells the dragon, who hops up, reading to go assist Warren with getting the fire going. With the space dragon present, he won't even need kindling.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren blinks then laughs, "Honestly, when you started that sentence I thought you were going somewhere else with that... Yes his healing factor would help that is for sure."

"Of course not," Warren gets back up and moves over to the fireplace, getting the logs in the fireplace and then glances over at Lockheed, "It's all yours buddy."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty Pryde breaks out in laughter, but before it has run its course it gives way to a hoarse sounding cough. She covers her mouth with a tissue when that happens. "Sowwy," she says. "But that was funny. She did have quite the outfit at dinner. I didn't know she was showing up in that."

Lockheed's tail swishes once or twice happily. He doesn't really wag it like a dog, but one can often divine his moods from it. Clearly the dragon is in line with Christopher Walken's takes on how wonderful it would be to have a tail.

As soon as Warren has the logs ready and looks to the dragon, he draws a breath and lets out a steady plume of flame that lasts for about ten seconds. By the time he stops, the logs are burning merrily, not yet having hot coals, but already starting to put out a little heat.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren Worthington chuckles a bit embarrassed, "It was and interesting look to be sure. I certainly wasn't expecting that either. I just thought you were totally going somewhere else with that sentence when you started it."

Warren reaches over and rubs the dragon's head and makes his way back to sit on the floor in front of Kitty. "I'm just glad she told us where she was going so we could warn her."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty lets out a loud exhalation. "You can say that again," she murmurs. Lockheed leans into the scritching happily. Not that he ever had given any signs of not liking Warren in all the years the two had been around each other, but there's a definite sense of approval from Lockheed that is making Warren a steadfast friend beyond what he knew before with the little dragon.

He flaps back up to find her lap, curling up between her legs with his head resting on her belly. Kitty gently strokes his head with one hand, while the other reaches over to brush over Warren's back. "That was really nice of you paying for everyone," she tells him. "I don't know if everyone got a chance to thank you or not, but it was greatly appreciated," Kitty says. "I didn't mind seeing you flex your muscles to get us a table either," she says, managing a soft smile even while not feeling well.

Warren Worthington has posed:
Warren shrugs a shoulder, "It's not like I can't afford It. Even if I tried my best I don't think I could spend everything. I might as well share the wealth, right?"

He turns so he faces her better, brushing her fair from her face. "As far as the table, that was just a name drop and small bribe. Probably held some other party up for a few minutes more, but such is. In the long run nobody gets hurt."

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty gazes into the mutant's beautiful blue eyes. "I know for you it would be like me buying a friend a... piece of bubble gum. Still though. Just because someone has a lot of money doesn't mean others deserve to have it given to them. You're a good person that you do things like that for your friends," she tells him, not letting Warren shrug off the gesture.

The young woman closes her eyes as he brushes some of her hair back from her face. She's taken it out of the ponytail, the dark locks free to fall as they will. Kitty finds his other hand with hers, bringing it to her lips and kissing the back of it. "I'm a very lucky girl," she whispers to him as she looks back over into his eyes. "You're something very special. And I'm going to make sure you know how aware of that I am," she says, managing a smile despite not feeling well.

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Im nothing special, I'm just me," Warren says with a chuckle. "How is your head doing, love? Should I make you another mug, or do I need to draw you a nice hot bath?" Warren leans in and kisses her softly on the lips, cold be damned.

Kitty Pryde has posed:
Kitty tries to protest to the kiss, not wanting him to get sick. But she does kiss him back, if trying to keep it a chaste one to not pass on germs. Too many germs.

"I'm feeling better. The drink helps. Having you here, even more," she tells him. Kitty gives a soft, happy sigh. "I think I might try to sleep a little bit. Have some of the soup when it arrives? I don't want to make you sick. Even if I'd enjoy taking care of you when you were," she tells him.

Kitty's eyes slowly drift closed.

Warren Worthington has posed:
"Ok you...time for bed." Warren stands and turns around, picking Kitty up and cradling her in his arms as he starts for the staircase. "I'll bring the soup up later when it shows up. Until then you sleep."
