Cast of Characters: James Proudstar, Henry McCoy

James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar limps into the Lab, looking some the worse for wear. He winces as he sits on an exam table the fact the he's seeking you out is a serious red flag and the fact he is voluntarily sitting on a bed is crazy, "Hey Hank, had... a bit of night last night. The good news is we repulsed the assault team."

Henry McCoy has posed:
He'd been working over at the workbench, frowning a bit on the slow progress. At least progress was movement in the correct direction. Henry glances over at James as he arrives, a bit of a concerned look on his face.

"Assault team?" He blinks, motioning to one of the examination tables. "Looks like you had more than just a bit of a night - where are you injured?" He asks, moving over to collect up some medical supplles as needed.

James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar licks his lip and tilts his head, "Well, it's been about 12 hours, So... yeah, still every where. Yeah, I read the briefing sheet Jean and Scott sent out about the other dimensonal people. He drops a small pile off military style gear with weird unrecognized unit and affiliation markers, "Or there's a new player in the game?" James shrugs and then winches, You can see the bruises on his arms and leg, a few laceration, but what's concerning is the solid purple bruise on his chest and the gash on his thigh.

Henry McCoy has posed:
The injuries are eyed with more concern. "You usually mend up faster than this, James." He comments. "Up on the table. We can stitch, or butterfly bandage as needed. Did you get struck with anything in particular?" Henry wonders, collecting up all he needs and arranging them on the tray near the table.

"And which briefing? I think I missed that one." A frown.

James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar gets on the table and nods, "Yeah. Doc, that's the crazy thing. This guy looked like me, he moved like me, smelled like me. He sounded like me, well, kinda, I mean in the crazy ego bad guy kind of way, you know? But, Yana and I wer driving them back it was kind of a route and this guy, comes at me across the lake, moving so fast. Hank, it was like he was flying? I mean he was bigger, stronger, faster, older... but flying?" He stops and looks at you, in pure confusion, "Yeah, and that's how I got this." He landed solid, and I went down, and if didn't start with the monologuing and if Yana didn't have my back." Jim shakes his head and takes a long breath. "Flying Hank, I mean, is that even?"

Henry McCoy has posed:
The Beast frowns, listening. "I'm still uncertain as to the origins of these ... mimics." A shake of his head, working quickly to butterfly any open cuts to help them with healing. "Was Illyana able to suss anything about them with her arcane learnings?" The man wonders.

"I had heard of some of them being a dead ringer for the people, but not of any with more amplified or addtional gifts."

James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar smiles, "Yeah, I'm not sure if the gash was him or got to close to a raven-daemon. Naw, I'm pretty sure the big bad was a me, of some stripe, Yana called up John's shade to help us and it wasn't /my/ John. It was another, he was not happy with /his/ little brother." Jim chews his lip, "It reminded of the way John would have felt about me when I came after Xavier, back in the day... Though. We actually, kinda hit it off. He was older, bigger in his full prime, saved my bacon... Hank, mutants aren't like other heros. Do you think I have a secondary? I mean he was older, how would that even work?" Takes a breath, "I'm not sure why hit the school, I mean it was pure dumb luck Yana and I went for a walk and saw them before they even hit the defense grid."

Henry McCoy has posed:
He thinks on that, wrapping up the injuries. "I am not sure. We are not like others, no - but we have a lot of similar troubles. I imagine that if these are magical or extra-dimensional, there could be others mimicing other heroes." A shake of his head. "And a secondary? As in... perhaps an alternate timeline version of you? Or are you suspecting more changes to your mutations?"

James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar winces a little as you make it tight, the bruise is deep but with time it will heal. The leg wound probably is a knife cut, a little too close to the femoral for comfort but It's Jim and the wound is practically healing as you bandage it. Looking at the bruise, you know it would take someone like Pete or Jugs swinging all out to do this kind of damage. You know that Jim leans into the big dumb jock stereotype pretty hard letting people underestimate him, but he's actually a decent student and while the others are cracking jokes, Jim is listening, "I'm thinking the latter, if he'd been magical Yana couldn't have yanked him around quite so hard. Alternate timeline? That kind of hurts my head, like Kitty phasing through time or something?"

Henry McCoy has posed:
He shrugs. "I've seen... odd things coming across the world. Where time gets fractured - truth be told, it would seem to be more of a Dr. Strange or Dr. Richards question on that sort of thing." He grins.

James Proudstar has posed:
James Proudstar nods, and thanks Hank for his ministration. "Dr. McCoy, I appreciate your honesty but I will take blue and furry over white and snooty, everyday." He gets up and moves gingerly, nodding, "Yeah, that feels better Doc. Thank you." He smiles, shrugs, "We'll see how this plays out. I mean, if it's gonna happen it will right?"

Henry McCoy has posed:
He grins to the other man. "Some of them have a right to be snooty, being the experts in their fields. Most of them aren't too bad." He winks to James. "Rest up a bit, yes? Let your body tend to the injuries. I'll make some inquiries among those I know, to see if we can get more concrete theories on what we should expect."
