Synopsis: Trying to blow off some steam, Ty goes to the gun range where she meets up with James Rhodes. The pair have a long talk while taking shots at targets.
Cast of Characters: Tynan Ireton, James Rhodes

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Well, its been a few days since Ty played basketball with Lang's head. She's still in a foul mood from that. So she needs to let out some steam. The woman went to a local gun range, and when the owner asked her what weapons she was going to fire, her answer...Everything under the sun. While the owner looks a little confused, he set her up with a range that has the capability of handling a AMR. The woman gets a case out of a taxi's truck, heading to Range that was set up for her.

The woman opens up the case, and pulls out a GM6 Lynx. Its her pride and joy as she sets up into a prone sniper position. She starts to scope the rifle, prepping to take some test shots.

James Rhodes has posed:
James Rhodes is a bit of a gun nut. You don't become War Machine without having a pretty good sense of how weaponry works and having an affection for it. He is also spectacularly bored most days babysitting Tony who spends all day in his lab. So, he spends a lot of time at gun ranges. Today, James is at the same range as Tynan. He watches her walk by with her rifle's case, and then, as he's reloading the rifle he is working with today -- an antique it looks like -- he watches her set up the GM6.

The GM6 gets a long look, a longer look than ts owner, before Rhodey says, "Nice weapon." Clearly impressed. He then goes back to his rifle, letting her get hers sighted in.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty nods her head a bit. "Aye, she is. Dad had told me early on that with the way the world is, I would need something with some bite to it.", she tells. The woman takes a moment to settle her breathing. Its clear that she's been using this rifle for a long time, and that she is more then trained with it. Her first target is at 500 meters. She breathes out, and gently squeezes the trigger.

She hits the target clean. "Good hit.", she says. The woman takes a deep breath as she checks the scope. "Displacement is 1.5 left.", she starts as she pulls out a notepad, and jolts that down. "Whats your poison?", she asks.

James Rhodes has posed:
"I carry...pretty much everything. But my favorites are older rifles. I'm not one of those crazy reloading black powder people, but...give me a good Mauser from the early teens, or a Garand, or a Carcano from the forties, and it's...a nice afternoon at the range." James replies, before he turns back to his target and lines up his shot.

He uses iron sights, and takes his time, squeezing out four or five rounds -- all of them strike dead center because, well, he's got a lot of practice -- before he turns back to Tynan, "James Rhodes, people call me Rhodey," he says by way of introduction.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty nods her head. "The War Machine.", she says. The woman offers a small smirk. "Tynan. Everyone just calls me Ty. I perfer my dad's 1911MA1s. The A3s are good moderns but its the weathering I like of the A1s.", she tells. "And I use a Garand on rare occasions, but not on jobs.", she tells.

James Rhodes has posed:
"That is what most people know me as, yes. But, really, I'm just James Rhodes, Marine. There's not much else to me than that." James replies, as he sets down his weapon, and says, "I was trained on the A3. It was ok. I prefer a Sig personally. Better handling, not quite so much recoil. You usually don't need to use a .45 round in most situations."

At the mention of 'job' he raises an eyebrow and asks, "Gun for hire I take it?"

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty nods her head a bit as she takes a deep breath. "Aye. My dad trained me in NIRA style, and my mum is from Madripoor. I grew up in Madripoor, so...yeah.", she tells. The woman sets up her next shot. "I do have rules that I obey. Such as I don't take jobs that involve innocents.", she tells. "And kids are a no go.", Ty tells.

"You going to be like Lang, and accuse me of being nothing more then a body bagger?", she asks. "I do have more skills then just pulling a trigger. If Lang remembers what happend. Drunken bas...", she starts to say, but Ty stops. Her temper is getting to her, and she's about to take a shot. She settles herself.

James Rhodes has posed:
"I don't think you heard me right. Marine. USMC. I spent two tours in Iraq. Half the security of the compound I lived in for a year and a half was run by Blackwater, Northbridge, Sable International, Eaglestar, you name it. Mercenaries do good hard work. Wish they'd sign up and fight for their country rather than their wallet, but..." James says with a bit of a slow shrug, "I honestly can't say I blame them with some of the nonsense I've seen in the military."

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty gives a small chuckle. "I never worked with any militaries. My dad fought against the British military. And remember, Madripoor doesn't really have a army. We're too busy trying to kill each other for that.", the woman starts to laugh a bit. "Civvies just have a hard time understand that Mercs are given whats considered suicide jobs. Either you're good, or you're dead.", she says. Ty...looks too young to be that experienced, but then again, her dad was NIRA, so...

James Rhodes has posed:
"If it's like that, maybe you should look at landing with a better company. One that doesn't make every mission do or die." James replies, before he adds, "Though, some out there like that, need that edge to get in the right mind for a mission. Not really for me. I'll do it if I gotta, but...I don't go looking for it, y'know?" He shoulders his rifle again, and knocks out the last few rounds of the magazine. The Marine pops it out, and then asks, "How old are you, anyways?"

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty squeezes a double shot. "22. Took my first job at 18 in Cambodia. Did it a few weeks before my 19th birthday.", she tells. "And not many places are looking to hire. There's a bit of an issue that I can make weapons appear from anywhere that makes people nervious.", she tells. The woman fires a last round. before she stands up, casing the rifle. "Right now I'm solo-ing. One day, I'm going to be running a PMC.", she tells.

James Rhodes has posed:
"Not a bad goal. I hope you make it. If you need any help, contacts, the like, I can probably get you a start." Rhodey replies. He watches her start casing up her rifle. "And, you're young to start...but..not unheard of. Just don't get yourself killed, alright? Know when to walk away if you gotta."

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty nods her head a little bit. "Thanks.", she says. "Really, I'm thinking of probably getting some real back up. Jobs are scarce, and sooner or later, somebody is going to ask about how I got into the states. Not to mention, Interpol...", she mutters. "They'll figure out who DC is sooner or later."

James Rhodes has posed:
"So, why not start your company now?" James asks, "Get some nice government contract. Go sit and watch a FOB or the Green Zone or something for a few hours a day?" As he asks this, he adds, "You never know, might be a good time to do it, and get you some easy backup."

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty shakes her head. "First rule, make sure you have a MBA. Goverment contracts have a lot of loopholes in them. Second, resources. I have only the weapons I carry with me. Would you walk into a fight without your armor?", she asks. "Especially against powers? You have to remember that in today's wars, its not just tech that has firepower. You have mutants, inhumans, metahumans, aliens, superbeings, and even gods who are on the battlefield.", she tells.

James Rhodes has posed:
"That is true. I suppose I forget I got a state of the art suit of armor that...you just don't have access to." James concedes. He thinks for a few moments, and then says, "Well, if I hear of anyone lookin for work, I'll send them your way, how about?" Real helpful Rhodey, really.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty nods her head. "Ok. That'll work.", she says. "I'm not getting many jobs at the moment. Most people tend to try to go for bigger guns, like Tasky or Deathstroke.", she says. "And the desperate for for that one guy, Deadpool. I'm kinda too new to really get anything going so any help is better then none.", she tells.

James Rhodes has posed:
James Rhodes reaches into his jacket, and pulls out a business card. It's Stark Tech so there's probably some fancy nonsense going on with it -- holographic picture or color changing ink or who knows -- and hands it out to Ty, "And, if things get really bad, give me a call. I can probably figure something out for you."

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty nods her head, as she accepts the card. "Thank you. I better get going. I came by to blow off some steam, thanks to Lang. Just...so I don't know the right term to describe him.", she says. The woman stretches as she picks up the case. "Catch ya on the high ground.", the woman says.
