Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie has been working on a surprise for Paige for the past month or so. At Christmas he had given her a small gift but an IOU a bigger gift coupon. So today he has brought it in to the mansion making sure she did not see it, and covered it with a car cover. He calls her down to ask, if she wants to help him with some work on his car.

Paige Guthrie has posed:
After finishing up her own homework and a tutoring session with a younger student, Paige makes her way into the garage after sending her brother a text. The younger Guthrie is wearing a pair of worn down jeand and a button up flannel over a white t-shirt. Something she isn't worried about getting ruined.

"Hey, Sam. Whatcha need help with?" She asks as she gives a long stretch of her body to pop a few joints in the crook of her spine.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie has the hood up on his car, and says "I need to change the oil, and thought might be a good thing to make sure you know how to do it too." He is wearing jeans and a old t-shirt himself. "So, what you been up to today kiddo?"

Paige Guthrie has posed:
"Nah much. Just doing my homework, cramming for a test, helping out this Freshman on some math." Paige says as she heads over to his car, giving her arms a few swings back and forth. "Nah much else. Been a boring day. Thinking 'bout hitting up Jubes and Tabby later ta' go into town and maybe get something to eat. Ah' dunno. Guess it depends if something else comes up. You?"

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks over and says "Well, I was thinking about hanging around the mansion this evening. " He tells her, and starts showing her, where to check the oil, and says "You know, might be better to show ya on another car besides mine." He looks around and walks over to the tarp covered car "Maybe this one, sure the owner won't mind a free oil change."

Paige Guthrie has posed:
"Ah' know how to change the oil of a car." Paige says with an amused look to her brother. "I had to do it a few times back home with Ma's while you was off here at fancy school being a hero, Rocketbutt." She drawls to him as she looks over to the tarped car.

"You don't trust me to change yours? I see how it is. Who's ride am ah' gonna break?" She asks as she heads over to the vehicle and slides the tarp off with a tug.

Emma Frost has posed:
    "I expect my 'ride' to not be broken in any way." Emma says, walking into the garage, her clothes something much more simple than she was wearing last night. A yellow top under a thick wool hoodie with fur lining the neck and the cuffs. She frowns as she steps in with a hand across her belly and steps closer to the Guthrie clansmen, her feet in slips and a pair of green thick sweat pants cover her legs. She looks like she's slumming it with clothes hodgepodged from other's closets.

    "What are you two going on about?" Emma asks as she steps towards the duo and the tarp covered car.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie looks over and as Paige uncovers the car under the tarp is a 1980 VW Rabbit convertable. and all waxed and as pretty as it can be. "Well I think I might know who it belongs to but we might want to see if there is anything inside that says for sure."

Paige Guthrie has posed:
As she tugs the tarp off to reveal the red Rabbit, Paige gives a few blinks. "Wow, she's a beauty. Real old too. Ah' remember the Johnson's having one of these that Sarah used ta' drive 'roudn town." She glances over at Emma as she speaks. "We're just working on Sam's car. We ain't gonna touch yours. Sides, do you even park it here? Ah' thought you had a private jet." She says with a grin.

Heading to the car, she peeks into the window. "Who's car is this? Ah' think we should get permission before touching it though."

Emma Frost has posed:
    Emma looks at the car and her face sours as much as it could. "Who would want to drive something so ancient?" The woman asks, recoiling obviously and then clenching her hand at her belly once again, but not seeming too bothered by the pains.

    The blonde turns her head towards Paige and Sam but ending back on the woman, "Har har, I still have a car, need something to get me to the airport until I can convince Jean to let me park the Lear here." Emma smirks with a playful wink before she pulls out her phone and rolls her eyes, taping the glass a few times, the Porsche over a few rows lights up and beeps twice. Show off.

Alexis Carr has posed:
    "Come now Emma, some people have an appreciation for the old items; my violin sounds much better because it's older than this country." comes a cheery voice, and Alexis shows up, wearing jeans and an older T-shirt promoting some boy band from the 80's with ridiculous hair as she steps into the garage, bearing Coffee Drinks. She slides Emma hers, and offers some ridiculously chocolatey sweet item for Paige and Sam.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie smiles and takes the drink and leans over to kiss Allegra's cheek." He hmms, and says "Well, lets see." He walks over to the car, and Paige and pulls a set of keys from his pocket. The keys have an old yankee's baseball logo keychain on them. Allegra may recognize it has been on Sam's keychain since she has known him, but Paige knows it as Pa Guthrie's key chain. He holds out the keys to her and says "Merry late Christmas kiddo." He smiles to Paige.

Paige Guthrie has posed:
Taking the drink, Paige gives Alexis a bright grin. "Thanks. You're a life saver." She says as she takes a sip, then gives a slight snort at Emma's showing off. She glances to the Porsche, then back to Sam as he takes out the keychain and holds it out to her.

She gives a pause, then tilts her head. "Wait, ya' saying this car is for me?" She asks as she gives an excited noise in her throat. "Yah' didn't have ta' do that, Sammy! This probably cost too much. You shoulda held on to yah' money." She wraps her arms around him, giving him a firm hug.

Emma Frost has posed:
    Emma's eyes smile but her mouth stays stoic as she takes the cup from Allegra and nods her 'thank you' to her friend as she lifts it to her lips and then watches the sweet exchange between family members and she looks back to Alexis and feels a small wash of emotion swell through her chest and get lodged in her throat. Instead of flushing or turning red, Emma lifts her cup to her lips and drinks down the emotion, the jealousy, and turns on her heel and lifts the cup up higher than her shoulder to be seen.

    "Thanks for the drink and the sap, you kids have fun." Emma starts to shuffle away in her mismatched but still fashionable borrowed clothes.

Alexis Carr has posed:
    Alexis tilts her head back, and takes a deep breath before she turns. "Emma? A moment of your time?" she asks, momentarily leaving the Guthries to celebrate their Rabbit, and she goes to take a few steps after the blonde.

    "... you know that when I told you I would do anything to help you, that was more than a professional promise, yes?" she inquires very gently, her eyebrows rising up. "More than bringing your coffee just the way you like it. I can steal a couple of minutes away from my boyfriend's family if you need an ear --" she gives a wry little smile. "Better than a loan."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie will hug Paige back, and looks over to Emma at the comment of sap, but looks back to Paige, "Well Ah figure if your back here you need to be able to get around on your own. Ah was considering just giving you mine, but thought thought it maybe second hand, you deserved something that was not a hand me down. You need to take care of that keychain though, it is your now as well."

Paige Guthrie has posed:
"Ah' bet Jay is gonna be real jealous. Ah' can help pay yah back for some of it though." Paige says once she lets go of the hug. She glances over to Emma, then Alexis as she makes her way after her before she turns her attention back to Sam.

"Ah' promise to keep good care of 'em. May just put them in mah' lock box and get a new keychain, one that ah' won't be afraid ta' lose."

Emma Frost has posed:
    Emma pauses and puts her heels together briefly before leaning against one of the car doors, some SUV she doesn't own. She takes a sip of her coffee and reaches her hand out to rest on Alexis' shoulder and then cups the woman's cheek and brushes her thumb under the woman's eye. "You're too good to me, but, I'm fine." Emma lies as easily as if she were breathing. Emma lowers her hand and slaps it against her leg before lifting it up to rest against her belly again and turns, to give a look to Paige and Sam, and frowns slightly. "I'm fine." Emma repeats for Alexis.

Alexis Carr has posed:
    "You're full of it, that's what you are." Allegra quietly calls Emma's bluff. She narrows her eyes a moment, her lips pursing as she takes a breath, and states "You were the only one in That Place who knew exactly what it was to be what we are. I thought we were helping each other, we have each other's backs." she breathes out, and then tilts her head a moment, leaning it against the paler woman's hand.

    "I don't mean to give up on you so easily, Emma. You can lie to yourself... but don't you lie to me." the girl states, reaching up and clasping Emma's shoulder a moment. "I still have your back."

    And then she releases Frost, and puts back on the Alexisis-face (moderately more carefree than her Allegra face), and goes back to the rabbit, Paige, and Sam.

    "It's a pretty solid little car, all told. And Sam's a wiz wit h his haa--" she pauses, purses her lips, and then points at Paige.

    "Not. A. Word."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie chuckles a bit at Allegra's words. He looks back to Paige, and says "Pa used it as long as Ah could remember, then Ma used it till I got a car. I have been using it since then." He says of the keychain. "There are a few things you have to worry about here more than back home, gotta pay more attention to the undercarriage cause of the salt on the roads in the winter." He smiles and says "First tank of gas is on me, and you don't have to pay me back, mind you when it is time to do the same for Jay or Melody you can help out then." He offers a grin and says "You know by the time, Lewis and Cissie, if they want to share might be able to get them one new or two used ones." He jokes about the twins.

Paige Guthrie has posed:
"Yeah, yeah. Ah' know. Ah'll probably still be walking everywhere or using th' bus." Paige says with a soft laugh. "Traffic in New York is nuts and ah' don't think ah'm ready ta' start screaming at people and throwing 'em the finger."

As she glances back towards Emma and Allegra, her brows lift upwards slightly, then calls over, "Emma, you okay? Yah' keep clutching ya' stomach. What happened?" A million thoughts race through her mind. Is she pregnant!? Did she get kicked by a horse? Maybe a mule.

Emma Frost has posed:
    Emma's mouth drops open and she gawks at the spot Alexis was just moments prior before she shakes her head once and looks back towards her friend and a message is sent telepathically between the two. How dare she! Who does she think she- Oh, right. Emma shakes her head again and reaches up to lift her hood up to keep the cool from her ears.

    Looking towards Paige, Emma blinks twice very slowly towards the woman, "No, hell no, just cramps." Emma notes casually before taking another sip of her coffee and starting to shuffle away once again, wanting to get stopped but also, wanting to go take some painkillers.

Alexis Carr has posed:
    Alexis Thinks out loud <I am exactly who you know me to be. I'm sure you've been in my head enough to know.>

    And she's willing to let that be that.

    Paige would get an uneasy smile from Alexis, and she shakes her head. "Could be worse. I never learned how to drive. Sam's offered buuut... I think I might be a little more hesitant to put him in danger. I forget sometimes which side of the road is the 'driving' side. Best left to the professionals."

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie chuckles a bit to this and says "You know I have been looking for something to help with at the school, was thinking about a garden but you know might get more people wanting to take Drivers Ed, and being able to bring up a blast field maybe a helpful ability in the job." He offers with a smile. He does look over to Emma, and says Might want to try a coke, Ma always said a good remedy for a stomach ache."

Paige Guthrie has posed:
"Oh." Paige says in regards to cramps. "Ah' gotcha." She says as she pockets the keys, giving another smile towards the vehicle before she looks back to the others.

"Driving is easy. At least back home in Kentucky where it's all open roads for the most part and very few traffic lights .. or even stop signs that aren't knocked over by some doofus on a Quad."

Alexis Carr has posed:
    "A driver's education course may be something very good for the school... along with motorbike safety?" Alexis questions, giving innocent eyes to Sam as she bats her lashes at him.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie nods and says "Yea, I could do that, might have a few others who will teach bike safety. Rule number one don't ride or drive like Logan does when he is pissed off." He hmms "Well rule number two, rule number one don't touch Logan's bike."

Paige Guthrie has posed:
"Ah' feel bad for whoever tries ta' learn stick in this day an age. These streets aren't made for it. I bet everyone will burn a few clutches." Paige says as she leans against her new car some, then takes her phone out of her pocket to snap a few selfies before uploading them to her socials.

"So, whatcha two got planned for the rest of the night?"

Alexis Carr has posed:
    "I'll have to go back to New York early in the morning, so I'm afraid I cannot stay out too late. I've been asked to play at the Hellfire Club's Mardi Gras. It'll be nice to perform again." she gives a small smile.

Samuel Guthrie has posed:
Sam Guthrie smiles a bit and says "Well, Ah am sure you can find a pretty quick way back in town." He offers her. "So, am Ah going to be able to get a seat to watch ya play. Ah can come in and help set stuff up or something carry your violin dust ya chair." He teases. He does smile at Paige taking selfies.
