Date of Scene: 14 February 2021
Location: Restaurant in NY
Synopsis: Jovian takes Viola out for her birthday.
Cast of Characters: Jovian Anderson, Viola Fiore

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian had looked up a few things on Vi, curious after their previous encounter and was particularly surprised to find out it was her birthday. He texted her and invited her to eat at a local restaurant if she didnt have other plans. He waited at the entrance.

Viola Fiore has posed:
A Mercedes pulls up, the same one that Jovian remembers her driving home from the HyperLoop station that night he met her. The door opens and she climbs out, wearing a tight black dress. The valet takes the car as Viola walks over, having spotted Jovian waiting for her there outside the door.

"I wasn't sure if I'd be hearing from you. I really wasn't expecting it on my birthday. My friends all forgot, actually," she says, pauses a moment, but doesn't add that Carlos Manfredi forgot as well. He's only known her all of her life and he forgot. Again.

Viola walks over and offers one of her hands to Jovian, to hold not shake. "I'm glad you did," she says, looking down as she smiles.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian smiles, "You are most welcome. Birthdays matter," he shrugs and smiles and turns in the timer, moving towards a booth in the back. "I take them seriously and yet not. People often do goofy things but still, you shouldnt have people forgetting it so glad that I could be of service," his eyes twinkle. He looks her up and down seeming to enjoy the dress.

Viola Fiore has posed:
Viola lets Jovian lead her back to the booth, taking a seat first, making room if he chooses to sit beside her instead of across from her. "Well, someone didn't at least," she tells him, touching his arm softly with a grateful smile.

The Italian-American young woman looks around the restaurant. "I haven't been here before. It has a nice ambience," she says before her eyes seek out Jovian again. "I haven't had a chance again to thank you. For escorting me home and... well. Things after the party were so crazy," she says, shaking her head.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian decides to do that, never one to hesitate at being bold if the situation seems right and definitely enjoys being on the same side as the curves. "Its my favorite mexican place. And you are welcome" he smiles, "We all have adrenline moments but I was happy to do it." He beams. "It wasnt like I didnt get a very nice....reward

Viola Fiore has posed:
A touch of color reaches Viola cheeks, but she smiles. "Maybe you can suggest something for me then," she says as she looks at the menu, the young woman seeming comfortable with putting her food choices in Jovian's hands.

A young woman comes over, their waitress for the evening. "Hello, welcome to Lupe's. Would you like to start with one of our appetizer's? And what would you like to drink? Maybe a pitcher of margaritas?" she suggests.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian stirs a bit, liking the submission and orders for both of them, including two margaritas with a heavy tequila content and a platter of different food to try. "Pitcher it is" he beams as he waits.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian says, "So why is a compotent neat woman like yourself allowing your immediate circle to forget her birthday without causing them to ....I dunno...regret it?" He sips the water he already has."

Viola Fiore has posed:
"Oh, too busy to make a deal out of it," Viola says. "I'm putting together the Mardi Gras event at this exclusive club. It's an audition of sorts to see if they want to hire me as an event planner full time. Or, well I don't know if full time is the right word, but as a regular there at least. And there's a lot to do, just a few days left to do it," she says.

The waitress returns, setting down their drinks and smiling to them. "Your food shouldn't be too much longer," she says. Viola thanks her and then picks up her glass, offering to touch hers against that of Jovian's. "To pleasant birthday surprises," she tells him warmly.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian says, "It sounds fun. Mardi Gras is the best thing about New Orleans except the jazz festival. And I am happy to show up to help you avoid being kidnapped," he smiles, "But I can se how that isnt exactly a birthday celebration." He holds up his glasses, "To pleasant surprises"

Viola Fiore has posed:
A smile is given. "Yes, I've been to New Orleans twice for it there. I'm really hoping I can impress the Club," she tells him. Viola touches her glass to Jovian's and then takes a long sip of the drink. "Oh, they did make that a bit strong," she says with a smile as she sets her glass down.

She rests her head on her hand as she looks over at Jovian more closely. "So are you doing primarily private bodyguarding now?" she asks.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian sips his drink, slowly letting the enebriation build rather than suddenly losing it. He nods, "I do some private bodyguard work but mostly I've done bounties. The thing is, its tough because the better paying ones require more juice than what I have, so the temptation for mercinary work is strong. Part of me is tempted to just apply to SHIELD but I admit I'm having other ideas....

Viola Fiore has posed:
The young woman listens closely to Jovian as he replies to her. The sounds of the Mexican restaurant fill the space around them, the hum of conversations at other tables. The clink of silverware against plates or people touching glasses. Laughter. Viola leans closer as she listens to the man. "I thought you were at least a solid orange when it comes to juice," she says before covering her face slightly. "Ok, that was bad," she laughs at herself.

Viola takes another sip of the margarita. "Well, I don't know that I've ever needed a bodyguard before. But it made me feel safe having you with me for the trip back to New York," she tells Jovian. Viola leans over and if he lets her, presses a little kiss to his cheek. "It's also, I'm realizing, probably an amazing way for you to pick up women," she says, eyes twinkling at that.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian chuckles at the joke. Dad jokes aren't Cop jokes but there is a lot of overlap there. Secret Service humor is biting and blunt sometimes. "I've heard worse," he winks and sips more of his drink, relaxing, enjoying the ambiance, especially the ambiance right next to him in the booth.

"I am very glad I made you feel safe. I haven't felt that level of gratitude ...in a while." He puts his hand gently on her thigh and smiles. He beams, "Well I hadnt thought of using it as a gimmick to pick up women," he almost ALMOST thinks she is encouraging him to do that with other women but isnt sure there. He smiles, "I'm certainly glad it worked the once.

Viola Fiore has posed:
Viola tells Jovian, "Well, I don't imagine most people would be in a situation like that. I wasn't expecting it, and... I feel so sad for Mr. Falcone," she says, looking down. "What a horrible thing to have happen, and on your birthday too."

She slides her chair a little closer to Jovian as she brings up those sad tidings. "Let's hope my birthday goes slightly better. And thank you for taking me out. I figured I'd end up not doing much beside working on the party," she tells him. "I'd really like to get hired on there full time. Or, if not full time, to be used regularly for their parties. I actually rather want to be able to do work outside of it too."

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian gently puts his hand on her shoulder, not judging at all. They train agents to help people deal with tramau until a real counselor can come, but it was always natural for Jovian and triply so here. "It was, in fact, an awful thing to happen." He smiles and finishes one Margarita and has another. He nods and listens, "I'm happy to come, the truth is I had my eye on the Hellfire club before we even met. I went for some info and was dubious but the place is...nice. And if you get hired you'll make seveal kick ass connections. Their rolodex is a veribable whose who. Work outside is also good, not all eggs in one basket

Viola Fiore has posed:
Viola finishes up her margarita and pours another from the pitcher. "Yes, I've seen some of the guest list that indicated they are coming. It is impressive to say the least," she says. "And the facility too. It really is something amazing," the young woman says.

Their food arrives shortly thereafter, the waitress setting the plates down. Viola looks happy with her fajitas, the meat sizzling on the iron skillet they bring them out on. She begins putting a fajita together as they talk. "So where are you from originally? Somewhere else or from New York itself? And do you have a very big family?"

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian says, "Its not the kind of place I would go exploring. But it does sound great. I was summarily impressed by the tavern; little things you notice when you've been in a lot of bars." He sips more margarita and he has a fajita. He seems to enjoy it. "I do have a large family, oldest of 7, technically 6 full siblings. I grew up in Wyoming, super cold there this time of year, lots of windchill but love the wide open spaces." He sips down more Margarita and seems ..relaxed, enjoying himself but not blasted."

Viola Fiore has posed:
Viola picks up her fajita, taking a bite out of one end. The other end about a third of the toppings fall out, making her laugh softly and she unwraps it again to shovel them back in with her fork. "Wyoming? Never made it out there. One year we talked about going to Jackson Hole but we ended up at Sugar Loaf instead," she tells him.

She takes another bite of the repaired fajita, managing it better this time. "So how did you end up out here? Did you go to school anywhere, or did you pick up those bodyguard skills in the military?" she asks.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson keeps it simple, two toppings in and two out. He repeats that three times, very ordered in his thinking and actions but sips the margarita often. He nods, "Some find the country there ugly but if you are born there you can love it. The northwest of the state is gorgeous. Jackson Hole is pretty." He smiles at her Fajita travails. "I did go to school yes. New York University, criminology top of my class. I was in the Marshals and liasoned with the secret service a lot.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson says, "What about you? Have you always been with your family or spent time away from them?" Obviously he knows some things about her past but still."

Viola Fiore has posed:
Viola takes another sip of her margarita. Not that she isn't in a good mood to start with, having been surprised asked out for her birthday and taken to the nice Mexican restaurant by the man who was there for her when Viola was freaking. But the alcohol just amps up things, as it has a way of doing.

She grins over to Jovian and says, "I'm sure I'd love it. I like the city, but I do miss the chance to just be away from everything and everyone. For a time at least. I'd miss New York if I was gone for TOO long."

She takes another bite of her food, chases it with the tequila drink. "I've not been too far from them ever, really. I went to school at Columbia so just a subway ride away," she says. Indeed her apartment is right next to campus, with a nice view of the Ivy League school. "We're a pretty nuclear family as things go. Big extended family. It's just me and my brother, Gino, but the rest of the family is huge. You know how Catholics are," she says with a chuckle.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson says, "I do admit I love this city. I love everything about it." He smiles and looks up and down and smiles, "Maybe a bit more now." He winks and thinks, "NSU here. Colombia was above my payscale. Ivy League is impressive but given where you want to work and the career you want to have a good thing. My family isnt catholic but extended and large. I have cousins and uncles in all kinds of military and federal law enforcement divisions. Its one of the reasons I try to keep quiet about my condition." He shrugs and smiles."

Viola Fiore has posed:
Viola lets out a happy sigh as she takes another bite of the fajitas. "The seasoning is a big deal with a fajita," she says, looking at the self-rolled food. "But for me, the sour cream is probably what makes a fajita. I get that hit of it in a bite and it's going to be a winner with me," she tells Jovian.

She takes another sip of her margarita and then picks up the pitcher. "Want a refill?" she asks.

The young woman's eyes drift as if into her memories. "Oh yes, lots of cousins, uncles and aunts. A wedding is such a huge event for my family. You can't not invite any of them or it would be war. If I ever get married, well that would actually be a fun one to plan<" she says with a smile.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson nods, "Weddings are also a good way to ...meet women" he chuckles, "That or funerals. I've seen so many pointless family grudges last generations from those important times," he takes her up on the refill now definitely socially lubricated. He smiles widely, "I think I like to try everything in different combinations...but sour cream is my favorite of the standard fair in them. I lke all kinds of fajitas. Planning major events is fun. I can imagine how themey you could get." He beams, "and you'll have tons of time to practice

Viola Fiore has posed:
"The hardest part," Viola says between sips of margarita, "Is usually the person hosting it. Not the ones who know what they want, but the ones who can't make up their mind. And that happens more often than I'd have thought," she tells him.

Another sip of the lime drink is taken. "The men are usually fine. 'Give it this theme and make it fun'. It's the women that have the undecided issue more. Either they tend to have really strong feelings what they want, or else they keep changing their minds which makes it so difficult to proceed in getting things done. Actually, a lot of planning an event is the hand holding that goes on. Which, admittedly my sociology degree helps with," Viola tells Jovian.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson nods, "I've dealt with that on federal RFP's. You volunteer for some project, trying to help and half the stakeholders dont know what they want. Projects like that can be THE WORST, so I can only imagine rich people making it worse.." he chuckles and nods, "Women can be really cruel to each other so I can imagine changing their minds a lot" he sips more and then a bit more. "Hand holding can be really important yes. Sociology is a fantastic subject, getting insight into people is smart. Almost did psychology but didnt really want to know criminals THAT well

Viola Fiore has posed:
Viola slowly makes it through her meal, finally finishing up and wiping her lips with a napkin. "You were right about this place, it was delicious," she tells Jovian. She reaches over and rests her hand on his. "Thank you for taking me out like this. It would have been a kind of lonely birthday otherwise."

If he lets her, Viola leans over to brush a quick peck to his cheek. "I hope you'll be able to make the Mardi Gras party. The place is going to be open to the public, at least where it's being held," she says.

Jovian Anderson has posed:
Jovian Anderson smiles, "You are most welcome," he beams and enjoyed the whole thing immensely. He pecks her back "I would love to go to that. And I have just the costume in mind. Seriously, being alone on your birthday is the suck glad I could help
